Full Purchased List?

I've been trying to get my wife's songs back on to her new iPhone, but only some songs are showing up under recent purchases and we both know that we purchased more songs. I'm pretty certain that the iTunes accounts we're using are correct. Is iTunes in the Cloud restricted in how far back in time it goes? Would we have to sign up for iTunes Match to find the other songs? Thanks.

I have been trying in vain to get purchase details on my iPad. I click on the iTunes button, but it only shows the names of the songs, I click on the App Store icon and it shows apps, but none of these match the charge, there is no email regarding purchases. You can only view the full purchase history on your computer's iTunes : if you log into your account on your computer's iTunes via the Store > View Account menu option, you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it. Click on that and you should then see a list of your purchases.

How to add songs to a playlist when the songs are NOT on the Purchased list

In Itunes there used to be, in the Playlist page, a "playlist" which appeared at the top called All Music. In the more recent versions of Itunes this is no longer the case and All Music has disappeared and the closest you can get is Purchased. Unfortunately the Purchased list misses out all sorts of things which were genuinely added to Itunes.
In the old days I could select any group of songs from the All Music "playlist" and simply drag them into the appropriate playlist. No problem. Obviously I can still do this if all the songs are on Purchased but, if they are not, what do I do.
I know that it is possible to see all the songs by clicking on Songs at the top of the page and I can then select those that I wish to add to a playlist. But there is no way (that I can see) of dragging these to the required playlist since playlists do not appear in this page format. There is nothing in File or Edit which looks useful. I even tried Copying the selection (in desperation i must admit) with a view to subsequently Pasting to the appropriate playlist but, as I expected, that has a greyed out Paste so no luck there.
There obviously must be a way of adding songs which do not appear in Purchased to a playlist. What am i missing?

Hi scroobyplex, I think i am now fairly happy with the situation as explained in my last post but, as you have taken the trouble to reply, i will try to explain myself a bit better as i don't seem to have been very successful so far.
As I mentioned in my 2nd post, I am well aware of the Categories button at the top left of the screen under File/Edit/View etc. For me this is always set to Music since i don't use any of the other categories.
I am not sure what you mean when you say clicking on Music shows all my music files. In fact, when I click on category Music, I then get various choices appearing along the top of the screen as mentioned in my 1st post - Songs, Artists, Albums, genres, Playlists. If i choose any of the first four I do get a full list of all my tracks but there is no facility there for dragging selected tracks onto a specific playlist.
The other option is Playlists. This gives me a list of all my current playlists,both those created by me and those created automatically by Itunes (of which the previously mentioned Restored Playlist .... playlist is an example) The Playlist screen always opens with one of the playlists already selected
The only option i have then of seeing a different list of tracks is to select a different playlist. If i want to add new tracks to a playlist, often the Purchased list will be OK as a source for dragging but, if i have loaded a CD into Itunes, I would need to select the Restored Playlist... playlist as any new tracks seem to automatically go onto this regardless of the source. There is nothing else which gives me a full list of tracks on a screen which permits dragging onto any specific playlist.
As mentioned in my previous post I have no idea why all my music, both old and new, goes into a playlist called Restored Playlists.... instead of something sensible like Music or All Music but it does what i need so i no longer have a problem

The Get Info. fields show up gray if the files is locked and iTunes knows it can't edit the file. Make sure the files are not marked as read only and, if necessary grant both your account and system full access to all files and subfolders of your media folder.
You can set Part of a Compilation for multiple tracks from the Options tab of Get Info.

HT203164 I have purchased several books on tape via my computer and now want to sync them to my ipod....I can't find the appropriate buttons to do that. Also though I have receipts for books purchased they are not showing up on my Itune purchased list.

I have purcase several audio books via Itunes and they are on my computer however I have been unable to figure out how to transfer (sync??) them to my Ipod. Also I have receipts for several Itune audio books but they are not showing up on my purchased list. Help!!!

iTunes does not garentee to carry a book forever, a serious flaw. If you can't find the book in iTunes anymore and didn't keep it on the computer, or backed up, it may be gone.
To add audio books to the iPod;
you have to check the box at the bottom section of the Books screen that says, "sync audio books"

Go to Settings/iTunes & App Stores and sign out. Then sign in with your new Apple email ID.

HELP! New songs show up on Itunes and Purchased list, but will not show up on phone.

I've added some new songs to my Purchased list. They show up on iTunes, but do not add after being synced to my iPhone 4s! The sync goes through, but they don't show up on the phone at ALL. I've tried deleting and re-adding to Purchased, but it didn't work. The software is all up to date as well. Has this happened to anyone? What do I do?

Try switching to manually manage music for your iPhone, then you can drag and drop the music that you want or even drag the playlist to add the song.

Delete songs from the purchased list

Is there any way to delete songs from the purchased library list?

I no longer like the song, so I would like to get rid of it. If I was tired of a CD, I would get rid of it. It seems like I should be able to do the same thing with the purchased list.

Hello. I was listening to music through my iphone today, and decided to look for Justin Timberlake's first part of the 20/20 experience album in my music app because I wanted to listen to it again. Only, when I searched, it did not come up on my list of artists or albums. I went on the itunes app to redownload it, thinking maybe I deleted the album by accident. But the 20/20 experience album was not on my purchased list. I went onto the store page of the album to see if it did not show if I had purchased the album. It showed that I had purchased it already. A couple of other music pieces have this same problem, and no matter what device I go onto, the music will not appear on my purchased list, even though the iTunes store says that I had purchased the music.
In short, songs have disapeared off of my devices, and do not appear on my purchased list. However, when I go to the respective store pages for the albums/songs, iTunes shows that I have indeed purchased the content. What is going on, and how can I fix this?

Cook, this is the community forum. For problems with iTunes orders, you need to contact their Customer Support, either from iTunes, or from the receipt email.

If I erased a season of a TV show from both iTunes library and iCloud, what can I do to restore it or at least have it back in my purchased list?

     Recently I bought three seasons of a TV show, but when I was going to download the second one I noticed that I could have it with 1080p, so I changed my settings so all other downloads would be in 1080p. The second and the third season where downloaded that way, but since I didn't noticed this when I was downloading the first season; it was downloaded in 720p. I thought that if I erased the first season I could download it again but in 1080p, so I deleted the whole season from my iTunes library, but also from iCloud when it asked if I wanted so.
     Until that moment I thought I was doing it the right way, but when I went to iTunes Store to download it, there was no option to do so, even though that in the season icon it said that it was purchased. After that I went to my purchased list and it wasn't there.
     Fortunetely, I always make a backup for my Mac in an external drive, so what I did was copying the file of the season that was in my backup into the "Add Automatically to iTunes" folder. The season is back in my iTunes library, but not in my purchased list.
     The problem is that I can't download it to my iPod from iCloud. I could sync my iPod from iTunes, but most of the time I don't have my Mac with me. I would like to have the season back as if it was purchased normally, and I would like to know if there's a way that I could have it in 1080p.
     If anyone could help me to do so, or tell what I did wrong; I will be very grateful.

As far as the TV series being in 1080p then that is upto the content provider and some older seasons are in 720p or only SD eg Stargate
It may well be that the season you want is only available in 720p

Contact App Store support. There's a link on the right hand side of the App Store Window. They're the only ones who can sort out account issues.

Apps are gone from purchased list after Apple ID region switched

Saying I've just switched the region of my Apple ID days ago, and then I found the "purchased" list of my account was emptyed, nothing there even I've paid form them.
I have no idea how it works. Do I need to pay & download those apps form the new region app store again, even I've paid in another region?

Apple licenses their content by region. This means that Apple licenses content from content providers (e.g. Paramount, HBO, EMI, etc.) by country, and Apple sells content to customers by country. If I were a gambling man, I'd bet that your purchase history would be repopulated if you changed your region settings back to your original region.
Since Apple is the content provider for the App Store, they *should* be able to work with you to transfer your App licenses (the paid ones, at least). Some apps, such as the BBC iPlayer app, are only available in certain countries. You may run into a situation where one of your apps isn't available in your new region.
I hope that helps. I'd advise you to contact iTunes Store support for the *official* answers to your specific questions.

This did not help me at all. I wanted to delete my purchased list. Delete. It is taking up to much of my space. It should be up to each person if they want to delete this off their ipad. Why should everyone be punished for this.

I want to delete my purchase list and apple is saying you can't. Why? It should be up to each person, if they want to put something back on there they will have to repay. You cannot delete apps from the purchase list nor can you delete the purchased list. That list is NOT taking up space on your iPad. It is just a list of the apps that you have purchased over time.
If you want to HIDE the purchases so that you do not have to see them, you can do that in iTunes on your computer. You can read about it here.

I'm seeing my husband's purchased songs in my account. Each time I download a song it's going to his purchase list. How do I fix?

I am a new iPod/iTunes user. My husband had previously opened an iTunes account and has purchased a number of songs. I opened my own account. Both accounts were opened on the same computer. We just have the one computer. After I opened the account, I purchased one of two songs and noted that I was seeing his purchases/Library and my songs were being added to his purchase list. How do I separate his purchase list/Library from mine so that when I purchase a song it is not added to his list. I opened a new user on my computer yesterday with administrative privledges. I then opened up an itunes account from this new user. It seemed to go pretty well. I haven't downloaded any new songs yet or moved them to my account. I don't know how to move songs yet. I'm reading iPod and iTunes for Dummeies. Very appropriate for me.
