Full Screen mode - file Name

Hi
Is there a way to display the file nane in Full Screen Mode.. This would speed things up for me.. we take 2 or 3 shot
of every kid.. We rename all the files. So going back and for trying to pick the best one and delete the others. We are making the switch to Mac and we are used to ACDSee on the PC..

Is there a way to display the file nane in Full Screen Mode..
Yes Bridge displays file names in full screen mode but strangely enough not
when having opened the files with hitting spacebar the first go. You have to
rate one and after this all the files will appear bottom left including the
star rating.
I'm kind of used to this but glad you remind us again, to my opinion it
should be there in the first place, viewing full screen is not the same use
as viewing a slide show.
Again strangely in slideshow you have the option to set caption in some
rudimental form but for full screen preview I'm not aware of such an option.
But as said, the workaround is to select files in Bridge, hit space and use
the shortcut cmd+. (dot) to increase the rating with one star.
Now all the filenames and ratings / labels do show permanently for this
visit to full screen.
Decreasing rating is also easily done with cmd+, (comma). Hitting this
decrease option first to none rated files sets them to reject, again hit
cmd+. And the rating turns back from reject to zero.
It is a very easy and useful way of selecting and rating, all the keys you
need are close to each other

  • Sending .fdf file via email + exiting full screen mode

    Hi everyone,
I have the following code attached to a button on a pdf form that sends the form data in a .fdf file via email:
    var f = this.getField("useraddress");
    this.mailForm(true, f.value, "", "", "RSVP");
Apparently the following line gets the user address from a field:
    var f = this.getField("useraddress");
I created a field called "useraddress" and set it to be hidden but I don't know how to have my email address continually popuate this field so that it can be used in the above code to automatically send the .fdf file to my address.
Would someone be able to tell me how I'd do this?
Also just one other question if that's okay?
The pdf is set to open up in full screen mode automatically. I want to add a button that will take the viewer out of full screen mode but I'm not sure what the code would be to do this. Can someone tell me how to do this also?
Thanks in advance for any help.

Yeah I probably should - I'm not that familiar with javascript so I didn't know I could. Have worked out the correct way now so thanks.
I also noticed that when the .fdf file is attached, Acrobat names the file with a generic file name, eg. ACR5037112.fdf - is there a way to automatically name the file with the contents of one of the fields in the form?
Also, do you have an idea of what the code would be to exit out of fullscreen mode when a button is clicked?

  • How can i print an Excel file when in the full screen mode (no print options on toolbar or right clk

using Vista, sometimes after creating and saving an excel file, the document is not visible when the file is reopened.
selecting full screen mode makes the document visible, but the toolbars disappear and the print option does not show up on a right click.  How can i print the document and see the document in some other mode than full screen?

In order to print, you can click the CTRL+P keys to launch the print dialog,
Regarding the missing toolbar, try clicking the ALT key to shouw the software menu, then look around under the view option for any available toolbar settings,
If you cannot find it, i would recommend you to try the Microsoft support forums, as they have some more knowledge with their software features

  • Reader XI: how to load multiple files so that I can show them in one instance of full screen mode?

It is possible to show a pdf file in full screen mode in acrobat reader XI (windows).
It is indicated that this is also possible with multiple files.
I do not understand how to accomplish this; How can I load more than one file to show in the full screen mode?
can anyone explain this to me?
    Thanks in advance!

    Where do you see that?

  • Open file in "Full Screen Mode" ?

How can you sent the flash movie (this case, exporting to
.EXE file), to open in "Full Screen Mode" ?
It now opens in smaller screen and then you have to go to the
view menu and select "Full Screen"
Is there a way to do this?

you should be able to use 'fscommand' to accomplish this, by
adding this line in the first frame of the file:
    fscommand('fullscreen', true);
it's also possible you may need to use
'ExternalInterface.call', but I'd try the other first :)

  • How to Open File in Full-Screen Mode

How do I set a Quicktime file to open in full-screen mode?
      Windows XP

New to QuickTime 7 Pro is the ability to apply "Presentation" to a file. You'll see the tab in the Movie Properties window.
One option is to "Enter fullscreen mode when opened". Use Save As to create a new file (leaving your original untouched).
The "Presentation" properties travel with the file and you can use the feature even in Web based media (if you use special html tags).

One of my pages that uses tags to call the QuickTime Player (even the free version found on most computers). These new files are now "Presented".

  • I open Preview in full screen mode and open two files.

How do I switch between the files? In non full-screen mode I can press cmd +` but this does not work in full-screen. I can go to Windows and choose the one I want but that is inconvenient. I tried this in Mail and Windows does not work.

    Hi there
The only way to display things in that manner from inside the browser is to use JavaScript to open the window. When you open the window using JavaScript, you have the ability to define many of the window characteristics, such as toolbars and all that.
Likely this will require engaging in a conversation with the support area of whomever supports the LMS you are using in order to figure out what you need to change to make this happen when the LMS serves the Captivate content.

  • Sending PDF files that will open exclusively in "full screen mode"

Flash has this capability with Projector's files. I wonder if Acrobat has the same capability. I've tried unsuccessfully.

If you embed a document script with the following code, the file will open in full-screen mode:
    app.fs.isFullScreen = true;
However, the user will always be able to switch back to the regular viewing mode, and it will probably not work if the file is opened in a browser.
Also, it won't work if JavaScript is turned off.

  • When opening PDF-files in full screen mode, the screen becomes transparant and makes the PDF unreadable. How to solve this?

this only happens in full screen mode. In normal screen nothing is wrong

Hello Community please can anyone help out with this request, all I need is an answer to whether it can be done or not?

  • Remove "Open in Full Screen mode" from multiple files

    Hi there,
I just discovered today that I could use Javascript with Acrobat.
I download a lot of ebooks from a certain website that has them all set to open in Full Screen mode.  (Properties > Initial View > Windows Options > [x] Open in Full Screen mode)
I could fix a lot of stuff that was annoying me with ebooks from this site, but I can't seem to find anything to disable the full screen thingie...
I tried these commands that I found, but they didn't do the job :
    app.fs.isFullScreen = false;app.fullscreen = false;this.fs.isFullScreen = falsev;this.fullscreen = false;
    Thanks,
    Simo
    PS : Using Actobat X

Thank you both for your replies.
With Acrobat Pro you can set the Initial View through the batch process.
Would you mind explaining how to do this for a noob like me?
    Thanks,
    Simo

  • "Full Screen Mode" in Adobe Reader XI for Windows 8 loads way too slow!

I recently got a new laptop with Windows 8, after having used Windows Vista for years.  I installed Adobe Reader XI for my new computer.  Before, I used Adobe Reader X on Vista.  I used Adobe Reader "Full Screen Mode" to read the nice-looking Bible chapters I created with internet audio from Biblegateway.com.  In Vista, the "Full Screen Mode" appeared quickly, before the audio fully started, so I could see the text in time for the reading.
However, with Windows 8, "Full Screen Mode" takes around 5-10 seconds to appear at all, and a black screen is present throughout the wait.  It does the same thing when I hit "escape" to exit "Full Screen Mode" as well.  I even uninstalled Adobe Reader XI from my new laptop, and tried using Adobe Reader X, even though it is not recommened by Adobe to do that on Windows 8, in order to test the speed of "Full Screen Mode" there.  Adobe Reader X had the same problem!  I do not know if this can be fixed, but I am pretty unhappy about it!  I enjoyed the "Full Screen Mode" with my PDF chapters and the online bible audio!  Finding that function for the first time with Adobe Reader X was a delight for me!  It gave the reading a theater feel!
Has anyone else here had a similiar problem with "Full Screen Mode" loading way too slow on Windows 8?  I am very disappointed!  If this cannot be fixed by a user, is there a place to complain to Adobe and make a recommendation for software improvement?  Thank you!

  • CS4 Full Screen Mode

In CS4 Full Screen Mode adjustments to layers /filters etc. can cause odd looking grayed out file name at top of window. how to avoid?

I turned off a whole load of features in my nVidia control panel and the problem I had with top menus after using full screen mode magically disappeared. I don't know which one did the trick and I'm not sure whether I can be bothered to find out. Solutions to CS4 problems just get more and more exotic.
On the whole, despite new video drivers, new tablet drivers, XPPro SP3 upgrade, latest DirectX and removal of 3rd party plugins I still find CS4 clunky and slow in comparison to CS3. Up until LR2 (another disaster on my machine but I'm not alone) and CS4 I had always praised Adobe for producing exceptionally stable, bug free software out of the box. These two releases are now just about the worst software releases I have ever encountered. We just shouldn't have to muck about with all these tortuous or drastic ( clean installs of the operating system ) experiments just to get these relatively undemanding applications to work.

  • New MBPr when viewing safari in full screen mode it keeps switching to the desk top screen like I initiated a gesture

Everytime I am using safari in full screen mode my MBPr always switches back to desk top view within a matter of seconds.  I can be typing a website or entering data in to a form and it still switches back.  This has become very annoying.  I have reinstalled the software, restored from time machinw, and even reset safri but it will not stop

Delete the localstore.rdf file at the following location:
    C:\Users\'''USERNAME'''\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\'''PROFILE NAME'''
I did this and it fixed it for several days, but it broke again eventually.

  • Mobile Safari Crash when using an iFrame in Full Screen mode (Icon launch)

Platform: iPad 2/3/mini iOS 8.1 (Other versions seem to show the same behavior)
    The Problem:
I am making an html5 app that is running in full screen mode by adding it to the homescreen and using the <meta name="apple-mobile-web-app-capable" content="yes"> tag to hide Safari.
When altering the source of an iFrame to an asset (mov, mp3, etc), Safari in turn will crash ONLY when in full screen mode. If I am browsing my app out of full screen mode, the assets load without a problem.
The odd thing is, the default browser player for these assets change in appearance when using the full screen mode.
I have setup a page to reproduce the crash:
    Navigate to: http://instapark.me/roi
Click on the big red mp3 button, an mp3 will play in the iframe.(No crash)
Click on the big red mov button, an mov file will play in the iframe. (No crash)
    Add to your homescreen.
    Launch from homescreen icon.
Click on the big red mp3 button, an mp3 will play in the iframe.(No crash, but it will not play.)
Click on the big red mov button, an mov file will play in the iframe. (crash!)

It is already switched off because it's a known issue that the macbook pro mid 2010 has kernel panics with the discrete gpu.
    Any other guesses?
*Also please note that this is probably a safari issue since chrome works fine. But I can't read crash logs so any help would be appreciated.

  • Can't see pictures in full screen mode

This is my new Mac Computer. Some of the pictures can not be viewed except as thumbnails. (When I try to see in full screen mode, there is a quick 1 second view, then a grey screen with an I in the middle and a dotted line surrounding it. There is no rhyme nor reason why some photos can been seen in full mode and some can only be seen as thumbnail.

    Welcome to the Apple Discussions.
The ! or ? turns up when iPhoto loses the connection between the thumbnail in the iPhoto Window and the file it represents.
The most common cause of this is User Activity in the iPhoto Library Folder. Have you altered, moved or renamed anything in the iPhoto Library Folder?
If you haven't, then try rebuilding the database. Hold down the apple and option (or alt) keys and launch iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild.
