  • NB100 touchpad scroll bar stops working after exit full screen mode youtube

I have few Toshiba laptops, satellite, and now netbook100.
All of them share one problem, touchpad scroll bar:
It will stop working after exit full screen mode in youtube.
Here is how to reproduce the incident:
    1. using any mainstream browser, start playing a youtube video, click full screen button at the bottom right corner of the video.
    2. click on the [cross] to exit the full screen mode. (next to full screen button.)
    3. check if you scroll bar still functioning.
    4. a reboot will restore the function.
Currently, Im on vista, I believe in XP you will have the same problem.
Searching in google (touchpad scroll bar stops full screen youtube) will return more people share the same question but no answer.
Environments: win xp all, win vista all.
Windows all most updated driver, touch pad driver up to date.
This is not a major tech problem but for a netbook, this is very annoying.
If anyone have this problem or answers, please share it here.
    Thank you in advance.
    regards.

I had the exact same problem on my laptop and after a lot of searching, I finally found the simplest solution that really works for me so here goes:
Once you exit the full screen video and the scroll pad has stopped working, click once anywhere on the youtube page(just to unfocus from the video) and press the spacebar button on your keyboard twice.
Et voila, your scroll pad should be working again. Beats the hassle of having to log off everytime.
    Hope this helps

  • Full-screen problem on YouTube

This just started a few weeks ago:
When I go to full-screen mode on YouTube, I get a weird, messed up image that looks like an x-ray or something.  Very dark overall, with blurry and unreadable graphics.
Hulu is fine in full-screen mode.  Youtube is not.  Tried Safari 3.1.2 and FireFox 3.6.6.  Both do the weird x-ray thing on YouTube.
    Any advice?

go to your home folder (the home icon should appear next to it) and then Library> safari > extensions
if you don't have a folder that says extentions in the safari folder, then you don't have extensions which would put us back to 0. if you do, move the files out of the folder in a safe place and make sure safari isn't running.
Reboot after movine the safari extensions out of the folder they were in and into a different one (maybe on your desktop).
Now open safari and see if you are still having youtube issues.

  • YouTube constantly restarting in full screen mode.

I am having an issue with YouTube constantly stopping and restarting when in full screen mode.  Using Safari and whatever I am watching only runs for a few seconds before restarting.

If your issue is only in Safari, you should post in the Safari forum area.
If your issues is occuring in all browsers, it's YouTube's problem.  You need to post in their forum area or contact their tech support.

  • YouTube Chromeless Player ceases to enlarge up to Full Screen width in Full Screen mode

    Hello all!
I tested my skin for YouTube Chromeless player, and seems it worked properly.
All graphic elements, including TLFTextFields, are stored in external SWF, all the AS3 code - in loading SWF.
I use ProLoader class to load SWF.
However, when I tried to attach Player skin code to my Home Page code, I immediately bumped into two issues:
    1. TLFTextFields ceased to display proper font;
    2. YouTube Chromeless player ceased to enlarge up to Full Screen width in Full Screen mode, whereas all publishing settings were kept the same...
Although I managed to cope with TLFTextField bug by replacing instances with vars in loaded SWF, I have no the slightest idea what to do with those paddings in Full Screen mode... Neither removing all children on stage before loading YouTube Player skin, nor compulsory resetting player's size can't make it work...
    Any help appreciated !!!

    Thanks for the reply Andrei!
No, the issue is not there. My monitor resolution is 1280x1024 only, and I just watched via Skype how it looks on 1920x1080.
Moreover, as I mentioned above, the Player skin per se works more or less properly (whereas attached to the Home page doesn't).
And EVERYTHING, including YouTube player enlargement, looks good in 'standalone' version...
You may have a look at these two links:
    - YouTube Player skin. Standalone
    - Customised YouTube Player. Full project
What is added in full project:
    1. One background image: MovieClip
    2. One background title: TLFTextField
    3. Five buttons + one intro player: VideoPlayer
    4. One masking rectangle: Sprite
I wonder what may cause such deviation in behaviour ?..
P.S. Any other bugs report (especially with screenshots) are also appreciated
UPD: Actually, buttons are not just VideoPlayers. All of them are MovieClips, which included two VideoPlayers, one TLFTextField and two Sprites...

  • Two Second Skip Switching Between Windowed and Full Screen Modes During Playback YouTube videos

I am finding that every video I watch skips two seconds every time I switch back and forth from Full Screen mode. Happens mostly with 720p videos in YouTube.
Can be replicated by pausing the video (also possible during playback, pausing it was just to determine how long the skip is), switching to Full Screen and back, noticing the two second change on the timer.
Main operating environment is Opera browser on Windows 7 (x86), Flash ver.  11.1.102.55 and 12beta. I have also been able to replicate the problem on Internet Explorer ver. 9.0.8112.16421

I see about 30-80 MB memory usage increase while switching to fullscreen and it is falling back while switching back to normal mode.
I think the "freeing" of the memory is to agressive and produces such "lags."
@Adobe: This should be optimized with the next versions.
    Update:
With the Plash Player plugin (Firefox Nightly/Opera Next) it is worse and with Active-X (IE9) it seems to be ok.

  • I can't play videos (youtube for example) unless it is in full screen mode. The audio works in either, but the video only shows in full screen. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I can't play videos (you tube for example) except in full screen mode. The audio works in either, but the video doesn't load or run in the normal you tube web site.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks
Also, the error console shows all sorts of different errors. Though, alot of error parsing values.

Do you have any Mail plug-ins? In particular, do you
have any plug-ins installed on one computer but not
the other? In the Finder, go to each of the following
folders (if they exist). What do you see there?
    /Library/InputManagers/
    Not Found
    /Library/Mail/Bundles/
    Not Found
    ~/Library/InputManagers/
Smart Crash Reports Folder / Smart CrashReports.bundle
    ~/Library/Mail/Bundles/
    MailRecent.mailbundle
    > I have a number of Mail Rules in
    place which place messages
of certain topics in specific Smart
    Mailboxes
This doesn’t make sense to me. You cannot tell a rule
to move messages to a smart mailbox, only to a normal
mailbox. Each smart mailbox has its own set of
conditions that messages must satisfy in order for
    them to appear there.
OK. I misstated this. I have a number of Smart Mailboxes with their specific rules in which to route certain topics to specify mailboxes. I am trying to not have to create each Smart Mailbox on each computer.
The problem is that when I am on the road I add contacts, bookmarks, keychain items, contacts into my laptop and vice versa when home. I would just like to have those Sync on both computers. Seems like it should be easy, but it hasn't been.
I really don't think I have anything "non-standard." A few Smart Mailboxes, a couple of signatures, thats pretty much it.
    Note: For those not
familiarized with the ~/ notation, it refers
to the user’s home folder. You can easily locate any
of the folders referred to in this post by copying
the folder path here, doing Go > Go to Folder
in the Finder, and pasting the folder path
    there.

  • Firefox page stop refreshing(drawing) when the flash plugin exit full screen mode.

While watching youtube video from youtube.com in full screen mode (this is flash player full screen mode, not browser full screen mode), if you exit the full screen mode, some times the original page when the full screen was started from would stop drawing, not responding to the mouse click in the page area. The page will go back to normal if you click and drag the firefox browser title bar or just resize the browser window.
I initially found this issue with our company's browser plugin product when testing on Firefox 4. Then I went on trying the same scenario with youtube flash player, it is the same behavior.
It is not difficult to reproduce, if exiting full screen works fine, move the browser window a little bit and try it again. I can reproduce this once every 5 - 10 times. It is very annoying.
The same test case works on Safari, Google Chrome without any problem. Please fix this!

Try to disable the hardware acceleration in the Flash Player.

  • Safari full screen quits on YouTube

I watch a lot of YouTube videos and I like to do so in full screen mode. Every once in awhile the screen shrinks back down, changes to black & white, stops the video (I can still hear the video but it's like I am looking at a screenshot) and says something like "Click here to exit full screen mode" well the only way to get out of this is to click on the screen which then takes you back to the normal video but in small mode. Then need to click full screen mode again. All of this can take 30-45 seconds if I am quick but still I miss what is going on in the video and I have to skip backwards to see it again. It's a real PITA.
    Yosemite and Safari 8.0.2
How can I just turn this "feature (bug)" off?

go to your home folder (the home icon should appear next to it) and then Library> safari > extensions
if you don't have a folder that says extentions in the safari folder, then you don't have extensions which would put us back to 0. if you do, move the files out of the folder in a safe place and make sure safari isn't running.
Reboot after movine the safari extensions out of the folder they were in and into a different one (maybe on your desktop).
Now open safari and see if you are still having youtube issues.

  • White line in iTunes Video Full Screen mode

Since my last FW update I do always see a white horizontal line (top of screen) when playing a video in iTunes or Youtube in Full Screen Mode. Does anybody has experienced the same?

Well, I found something interesting. If i go to any buy/rental trailers it plays in full mode. Only above white screen happens when I go to Theatrical Trailers, for example, go to new Die Hard and try to play any trailer and see if it plays for you in full mode.

  • WebBrowser Control - Full Screen mode detection

    Hi there,
I know that this is not the right place to ask, I read this also "Where to post your
VB 6 questions", sorry about that... :(
I already posted my question on VBForum, DreamInCode and StackOverflow about 1 months ago, but no one answered to my question.
I'm trying to detect full screen mode with WebBrowser Control in VB6...
When the video is loaded into WebBrowser Control and you Double click on video then it's goes Full screen mode and if you Double click again it goes back to normal view mode.
Loading the Html file and Navigate:
    Code:
    WebBrowser1.Navigate App.Path & "\example.htm"
Here is the htm file called "example.htm" to load into WebBrowser Control:
    Code:
    <html><body topmargin="0" leftmargin="0" scroll="no"> <iframe   width="640" height="385" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/xtYIEBOQ1eQ?rel=0&autoplay=1" allowfullscreen="true" menu="false" frameborder="0"></iframe></body></html>
Now I wish to detect those events!
p.s. I already tried to use:
Private Sub WebBrowser1_OnFullScreen(ByVal FullScreen As Boolean)
    Form1.Caption = CStr(FullScreen)
    End Sub
But, it's nothing to do with Full screen what I'm trying to achieve.
(Also tried the Microsoft HTML Object Library, but nothing there useful)
    Can someone help me out?
    Kind regards

    Hi,
I am afraid that as you read the thread
Where to post your VB 6 questions, VB6 is not supported by these forums any more.
I would recommend you focus on the threads you have posted in the other forums, and perhaps
VB City forum could help you.
Sorry for any inconvenience and thanks for your understanding.

  • Full Screen Mode, How?

How do I force InDesign into full screen work mode where I don't see this "window" of the document with Window control buttons?
I want the maximum work space.
And does Indesign CC have a Mac style full screen mode?

Someone is out now, trying to find a more obscure way to name "full window, but not full window" functionality.
You asked for a way to go into "full screen mode" and "full screen work mode." You never actually said "full window".
Please go to Acrobat, Photoshop, Quick Time Player, Skype, YouTube, Netflix, and Adobe Bridge and look what "Full Screen" means in any of those programs.
You ask for something, but use an incorrect term. Then, when we work hard to discern what it is you want, you get angry that the term you used was wrong.
Please, sir, think about your attitude. You insult Adobe and the people here who are trying to help. And the people here do so without renumeration.

  • How to lock bottom control bar from auto-hiding in full screen mode

I am using Flash Player with ie in Win7. It is very irritating while watching YouTube videos for the status/control lbar to keep auto-hiding. When the bar auto-hides, the pause/play position becomes the progress bar position - and a click where Pause used to be resets the video to start. How can I keep the bottom control bar from auto-hiding in full screen mode?
Thank you, Steve  [email: [email protected]]

There's nothing you can do to Flash Player, itself, to prevent this from happening.  Apparently, there's no way to disable via youtube, or google, either  -- http://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/youtube/_E5yFvNJCPk
You SHOULD be able to call up the bar by hovering the cursor at the bottom of the screen and then, after a a second or two,  click on the pause button.    (It shouldn't restart the video in other words.)  But, if for whatever reason,  this doesn't work,   just click once in the center of the screen to pause the video.   To restart,  click the center of the screen again.

  • How To Stop Internet Explorer 11 Prompting To Display Full-screen Mode

Is there a way to stop the desktop version of Internet Explorer 11 in Windows 8.1 from prompting whether you want a website to display content in full-screen mode?
When it displays the prompt "Do you want to view youtube.com in full screen?  (Press Esc to exit.)", if you select 'Always Allow', it doesn't permanently remember this setting, as it will be reset when the browsing history is deleted.
Surely there must be a setting somewhere to prevent it from displaying this prompt every time?

In fact, I suspect it is something that a Flash programmer would know but YouTube would know for that reason.
    Robert Aldwinckle
I disagree, as far as I'm concerned it's a Microsoft problem, not a Flash programmer problem. In fact, more specifically it's an Internet Explorer 11 problem, as it doesn't occur in IE10 and before. And it's not a problem specific to YouTube either as it
doesn't just occur on YouTube, it happens on other sites as well.
It almost seems as though Microsoft changed something in IE11 and forgot to put a setting in either the Internet Zone Settings, Advanced Internet Options or IE Group Policy settings.  Something along the lines of:
    Allow display of full-screen content
    Enable
    Disable
    Prompt (Default)
Meanwhile, unless there's a setting somewhere to disable the prompts that I can't find, the end user has to put up with these stupid prompts with no way of permanently disabling them?  What was wrong with how it was before with just a semi-transparent
message that faded out after a couple of seconds which said "Press ESC to exit full screen mode"?  Why the need for an annoying distracting prompt that requires user interaction as well?  And even if there is a reason (which I'd be fine with), why
is there no option to disable it like you can with other prompts?
If it's something that a Flash programmer would know, then maybe someone needs to let Microsoft's own Flash programmer's know about it:

  • When in full screen mode on netflix or hulu firefox goes out of full screem by itself

I stream movies and tv shows using the websites Netflix.com and Hulu.com, when I have it in full screen mode, firefox automaticly and without reason exits full screen mode. I dont have any screen saver on or anything like it, it just goes back to the smaller view. i was hoping someone had an answer for this problem.

''full screen mode on Netflix or Hulu, Firefox drops out of full screem by itself:''
    '''Try this'''
    #Update Flash to latest version<br>http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/
    #Bring up a Flash Video<br>http://www.youtube.com/watch?index=39&feature=BF&v=lfkbx_PETjE&list=PL05CEC01F9F371A3D
    # Click with movie to pause movie
    # Right-click within the movie,
    # Choose '''pop out'''
    # Make the window as large as possible by moving the borders, just in case it drops full screen
    # Click on full screen on the symbol lower right corner
That appears to be what I had success with, I'm not connected to external monitor.
    # If movie is not playing click to start
    # Click on Full screen symbol
