Full screen mode on iPhoto with 2 screens

Hello
I have a MacPro 1.1 with 2 screens, Lion and the latest version of iPhoto. When I launch the full screen app mode of iPhoto, no matter if i am working with events, faces, photos or whatever I do, the app just fills the main screen, and the secondary one just gets grey and its not usable at all... I feel silly having a hardware that I can't use in my duties.
Any tip on how to make the full screen mode of the apple applications to use both screens?
In advance, thanks!

It's not supported.
Regards
TD

  • IPhoto 6 Unable to Zoom in Full Screen Mode when using projector

When in full screen mode in iPhoto 6 I am able to zoom quite nicely but when I attach a projector I lose the slide for zooming. How do I zoom in full screen mode when using a projector?

Given that the zoom works normally, this is not an iPhoto issue. The problem lies in the interaction between your MacBook and the Projector. You might have more luck posting on the MacBook forum

  • How do I get to full-screen mode in Adobe Reader 10.4.4 for ipad mini? It's vanished.

I updated Adobe Reader and now double tapping activates zoom. There does not seem to be any way to go to full-screen mode, and reading with the header (time and battery life icons) is unpleasant.

Thanks for taking the time to post -- especially to a thread that was started almost a year ago.  I'll give your suggestion a try.

  • Screen sharing in full screen mode

    Hi,
I didn't find a way to scroll a screen from a remote computer that has an applcaction open in full screen mode.
    This is the issue :
The remote computer has an open application open in full screen mode (ie Safari)
My computer is also in full screen mode, so the application "Screen sharing" is open in fill screen mode.
So when in move the tree fingers on the trackpadd this is moving my windows (on the local computer) not on the remote computer...
Does some one can help me on this ?
    Many thanks

If you ever find out how, please post the solution here.

  • How to end full screen mode in screen sharing, how to end full screen mode in screen sharing

I inadvertently hit the 2 little arrows invoking full screen mode while in the screen sharing app. I can't get out of it now, and returned to the windowed mode. Help says to click the 2 little arrows, but I'm not being given 2 little arrows to click.
I see the screen sharing window, no border, against what looks like a background of denim.
    pressing esc does nothing.
    thanks for clues!

When you move your cursor to the top of the screen the local mac's menu bar will appar out of hiding. The "two arrows" you're looking for are in a blue button on the right hand side of this menu bar.

  • Sky go buffering when in full screen mode

Hi I have been using Sky Go for about 6 months without a problem and all of a sudden when i switch to full screen mode or enlarge the screen it is buffering every two minutes or so and i cant watch any programs. I have tried re setting my broadband (which is also sky broadband) i have uninstalled and re installed silver light, updated my internet explorer, tried opera and fire fox and nothing seems to stop it from happening. Has anyone had this issue and managed to resolve it. Or have any other suggestions i can try?? Thanks :-)

    Hi
If you sign in to sky go then top right it says settings, then click on View/manage devices you can then remove the device. Log out. Then log back in to sky go and when you do it will re register your device. You can only do this once or twice a month though.
The below link might also help

    Hope it works

  • Firefox 3.6 starts in taskbar mode, not normal screen mode

Firefox opens only as an item on the Windows taskbar, instead of in "normal" screen mode. I then have to click on the taskbar item to get Firefox to open in normal screen mode.
By normal screen mode, I mean the mode where Firefox fills up part of the computer screen and Firefox can then be resized or moved around the screen as one desires. I am not talking about opening Firefox in what is variously called "full screen," F11, or maximized mode --- and I do not want Firefox opening in such a mode.
I have a wide screen monitor which I use to open and view several software programs at the same time, something which is very handy when you want to compare information from a program on one's computer with information from a Web site, and I need Firefox to open in normal screen mode to permit me to do this multiple program viewing.
I have tried the following plugins , but they either do not solve my problem, or only allow me to start Firefox in full screen mode:
    - AutoHide
    - Full Fullscreen
    - FullerScreen
I have tried searching the Firefox help database, and have done a more general internet search using Google, and have not found any information on this problem.
Is there a Firefox configuration setting I can make to direct Firefox to always open in normal screen mode?

Reply to Cor-el's June 6th message: I created a desktop shortcut and tested it a few times, both various times during computer sessions and a few times just after I had powered up my desktop computer. The shortcut always opens Firefox in "normal screen mode." I also tested opening Firefox from the Start button menu item I have had for several years. The menu item also always opens Firefox in "normal screen mode."
It is only when I use the Web/Home button on the Microsoft internet keyboard that Firefox opens in "taskbar mode." Also, this problem has only been occuring for the past 6 or 7 months. Before that, I could always open Firefox 3 in "normal screen mode" using the Web/Home button.
Note to the other eight people who also indicated they have this problem: My version of the problem seems to be with Firefox's interaction with the software for the Microsoft internet keyboard. I would appreciate it if you could post a reply to this discussion informing everyone whether you have this Firefox startup problem when you use a dedicated keyboard key, or if you have the startup problem when you use just a desktop shortcut or a Start button menu item. Thank you.

  • BDC on FK01 is not working in NO-SCREEN Mode

    Hi gurus ,
    i have a situation,
A custom interface (built as per requirement) is facing some issues with BDC when executing in "NO-SCREEN mode".
There was a requirement to include email adress while creating permitted payee vendors for corresponding Original vendors iN  sap.
Now it used to create them . But after i retrieved the email details for a vendor and passsed in the BDC based on some condition, it doesnot work in "NO-SCREEN Mode" . For ALL Screen Mode it is working as expected ; when OK-CODES are given it asks with a pop-up which mode of communication reqd.
if  email is selected then it assigns onto the new payee vendor being created. What's the problemwith NO-SCREN Mode?
    could somebody plz guiide here.
    Thanx
    kylie

    Hi Sandra ,
Thanks for your suggestion throiugh the link.
Had checked the trouble shooting for  BDC : but the scenario in which i experienc eth eproblem is little different.
Well the Interface to create vendors was working perfectly in ALL Screen as well as NO-SCREEN mode.
But a small requirement seem to change its execution.
The Interface had a commented code snippet : retrieve email address from ADR6 table. Now according to the new requirement this code snippet needs to be utilized. So i uncommented that and duly passed th etable entries into the concerned screen (the code for that screen aldready exsits in the recording but not utilized since the retrieval was commented)
Collects the email address for any vendor from ADr6 table
Moderator message - Please respect the 2,500 character maximum when posting. Post only the relevant portions of code
now for linking the above created vendor, FK02 BDC is maintained. In this BDC the payment transaction screen is used to link payee vendors (above created vendor)  at company code level for any principal vendors (selected from lfa1 and lfb1 table). So only two screens for linking .
this entire code was working perfect in both A mode and  N mode  but after including the ADR6 code snippet i dont find teh similar execution in N mode.
Could you please guide me where could i ahve made some mistake.
    thanks
    Kylie

  • InDesign CC: Really slow scrolling, panning, editing in "Normal" screen mode

    Just like the title says.
    InDesign CC v.9.0
    Mac OS X v10.8.4
    Macbook Pro: 2.66 GHz Core i7 (8GB RAM, 128 SSD (42GB free))

Thank for the quick reply! — Info panel is already closed, and thumbnails in layers are turned off, same a dsiplay mode set to lower quality settings, but to no avail.
Interestingly it's more than just editting, the whole app is lagging as if the system is under significant load.
Even more interestingly, looking at Activity Monitor ‚ ID uses up to 90% CPU when in "Normal" screen mode, but in "Preview" screen mode, it only maxes out at 55%.

  • Create a custom full-bleed page for iPhoto '08 with Adobe ID CS3

I would like to know if anyone have a tip or trick on how to set up a customized full-bleed layout for iPhoto with Adobe InDesign CS3 app.
What is specific specs to set up in InDesign with top bleed, outside bleed and bottom bleed? 1/8" cut off (or .125 inch cut off)?
Any tip or trick or guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, cheers, Brian

See Bobby's post in this topic: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1137947&tstart=0. He asked Apple about bleeds, etc. and posted Apple's reply.
    Do you Twango?
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

  • When in full screen mode can I zoom in with iPhoto '11?

Just upgraded from '09 and one thing I miss is being able to zoom when in full screen mode looking at one image. Am I missing something? I think that would be there.
Also scrolling through my photos is much slower, is this common?

In earlier versions when you went to Full Screen you automatically went into edit mode. This version you don't. Zoom is available is Edit mode, in Full Screen or Windowed Mode.

  • IPhoto 11: How to view "all photos" while in full screen mode

In iPhoto, when it's not in full screen mode, if you click photos in the sidebar (under Library), you get a nice view of ALL your photos, and you have the option to sort them by event. When you go from this view straight to full screen mode, it stays this way, which in my case is particularly useful since I like to move photos around from event to event. However, staying in full screen mode, as soon as I click an any other of the menus at the bottom (events, faces, places, albums, projects), I cannot find anyway to get back to the "all photos" view, other than to take it OUT of full screen mode, click on "Photos" in the side bar, and then go back to full screen mode. Either I am missing something that is glaringly obvious, or this is a rather annoying oversight by Apple. It seems like it would be natural to have "Photos" be one of the options along with Events, Faces, Places, Albums and Projects in full screen mode. Right now the only work around I've been able to come up with (aside from going back and forth with fullscreen mode), and to hit "command F" while in full screen mode, and then type "i", which will give me what I am want only because all my photos start with "i". Not a very elegant work around, I know, but perhaps I am missing something very obvious.
    Thanks for any advice!
    James

In case my description isn't clear, here is a screenshot of exactly the view in full screen mode I am talking about  that I can't seem to return to once I leave it, other than to go back to non full screen mode or use the search trick.

  • Full screen mode with two displays ?

I use a second Apple Display with my iMac. When you enter into "full screen" with an app with Lion does it only become full screen on one of your displays leaving the other screen un-effected?  Or, does it black out the other screen?
When you are in full screen mode can you place windows from the full screen app on the other display that is not in full screen mode?
    Thanks.
    Eli

    @captfred.
    I'm still running 10.6.
I find it strange that iPhoto 8.1 has the ability to enter full screen without disabling or effecting the other display. You can even take a separate iphoto window, the effects window for example, and drag it to the other display. All while in full screen mode.  Does this functionality disappear in Lion?
    Is this behavior app specific?
