FULL SCREEN MODE option

Hi,
I think what they are trying to say is similar to the problem I am having. I have inserted a SWF file by going to insert>animation.. What I am trying to do is have the playbar in the SWF file appear so that there would be a total of two playbars... one with the SWF file animation, and the other that controls the entire captivate file.
Unfortunately Captivate does not give the "FULL SCREEN" option, so ultimately I have created a SWF file that has the FULL SCREEN MODE option. I am trying to get this playbar to appear
Please let me know if anyone has found a solution to this problem or if I need to further elaborate on my issue.
Thanks so much.

"Remote Desktop Connection" for mac has an option to
hide the menu bar in full screen mode.  I am unable to locate this option in the new
Microsoft Remote Desktop.  Without this option the remote desktop connection bar becomes completely inaccessible.  And since the old "remote desktop connection" program has poor support for windows 8.1 I cannot go back.
Is there a workaround?  Can you please add this important feature back in?

  • How can i print an Excel file when in the full screen mode (no print options on toolbar or right clk

using Vista, sometimes after creating and saving an excel file, the document is not visible when the file is reopened.
selecting full screen mode makes the document visible, but the toolbars disappear and the print option does not show up on a right click.  How can i print the document and see the document in some other mode than full screen?

In order to print, you can click the CTRL+P keys to launch the print dialog,
Regarding the missing toolbar, try clicking the ALT key to shouw the software menu, then look around under the view option for any available toolbar settings,
If you cannot find it, i would recommend you to try the Microsoft support forums, as they have some more knowledge with their software features

  • IPad Web App full screen mode Network Connectivity Retry Option

    Hi,
I have developed a web application in HTML5 for iPad (full screen mode). Now I am testing the application on iPad for connectivity scenario i.e. to see how the app behaves when the connectivity is lost and then resumed after some time.
    Steps -
Launch the web application in full screen mode from home screen (connected to a wifi network).
Click on any button to submit the form and at the same time turn off external wifi modem.
A pop-up message appears with the options to close or retry.
Now turn on the modem and click on retry.
The expectation is that on clicking retry the data in the web form should be sent to the web server, but instead of POST request, a GET request is being sent. Because of this, the data filled in the form is lost as the page is simply refreshed.
Can anyone please help me in resolving this issue.
    Thanks

This is more of a feature of the browser already.
With iOS6, Mobile Safari on the iPhone introduced full-screen browsing support in landscape mode.

One isn't able to take advantage of this feature in portrait mode though. However, the meta tag you're referring to in order to hide Safari UI Components requires the webapp to be added to the Homescreen; then when you launch the site through the icon on the Homescreen, you would find the UI components hidden.
Also, the latest version of Chrome for iOS released a couple of days ago includes the ability to view pages in fullscreen as well (for both landscape and portrait modes) with scrolling gestures enabling the hiding and showing of the omnibox and toolbar while navigating down a page.

  • How can I get Safari to default to NOT be in full screen mode?

I have looked in Preferences but don't see any such option.  I know that once I am in a session that I can go to View->Exit Full Screen, but I want the default when I open a session to not be full screen.  Would appreciate any and all help.

Quit Safari while holding down the option key. Relaunch. Your home page, or an empty window, should open, depending on your preferences.
If in full-screen mode, exit. If not in full-screen mode, enter. Quit and relaunch without holding any keys. You should get the same window in the same state as when you quit. Does that happen?

  • Can't see pictures in full screen mode

This is my new Mac Computer. Some of the pictures can not be viewed except as thumbnails. (When I try to see in full screen mode, there is a quick 1 second view, then a grey screen with an I in the middle and a dotted line surrounding it. There is no rhyme nor reason why some photos can been seen in full mode and some can only be seen as thumbnail.

    Welcome to the Apple Discussions.
The ! or ? turns up when iPhoto loses the connection between the thumbnail in the iPhoto Window and the file it represents.
The most common cause of this is User Activity in the iPhoto Library Folder. Have you altered, moved or renamed anything in the iPhoto Library Folder?
If you haven't, then try rebuilding the database. Hold down the apple and option (or alt) keys and launch iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild.

  • Cover Flow does not update in full-screen mode

Following an upgrade to iTunes 10.5 (141) and Lion (10.7.2) - I've noticed that Cover Flow no longer updates to the current song in full-screen mode. It will return to, and remain frozen at the first song of the playlist until manually updated or I revert to non-full-screen mode.

I assume you are using a desktop shortcut to start Lightroom.  Look at the properties for that shortcut.  There should be an option to set it to "maximize".

  • Aperture 3.1 - Love Full Screen Mode, Hate The System Lock-Ups

    Hi Guys,
I don't know if I'm the only person encountering this issue but Aperture 3 is driving me nuts. While I absolutely love the program and the full-screen mode, what I hate is the frequent lock-ups that force me to completely restart my iMac. Having the application lock-up is highly annoying but at least in "normal" mode I could kill the application from the Dock or Activity Monitor. However, when I'm operating in full-screen mode then I can't switch out of the application and seem to have no option but to completely restart my computer. This problem, which I first started experiencing with version 3.0 but which does seem to have been addressed in version 3.1, is happening so often that I'm afraid now to even use full-screen mode.
This problem only, to my memory, seems to happen when making adjustments but it does not seem to matter which adjustment. In the most recent occurrence the lock-up happened when I cancelled the application of a Crop by clicking the X icon on the Crop HUD.
Does anyone know either a) what might be causing the lock-ups, or b) how I can kill Aperture without having to completely restart my computer?

You could also set up SPACES to see if that works when lock up occurs in full screen
Apple Icon > System Preference > Desktop & Screen Saver > Hot corners
I have bottom left set to spaces
Then drop the mouse to bottom left, 4 windows appear, drag aperture to a seperate window and run there, you desktop is in a different space and can be accessed by bottom left of screen mouse movement (if the mouse works when A3 locks up)

  • IPhoto 11: How to view "all photos" while in full screen mode

In iPhoto, when it's not in full screen mode, if you click photos in the sidebar (under Library), you get a nice view of ALL your photos, and you have the option to sort them by event. When you go from this view straight to full screen mode, it stays this way, which in my case is particularly useful since I like to move photos around from event to event. However, staying in full screen mode, as soon as I click an any other of the menus at the bottom (events, faces, places, albums, projects), I cannot find anyway to get back to the "all photos" view, other than to take it OUT of full screen mode, click on "Photos" in the side bar, and then go back to full screen mode. Either I am missing something that is glaringly obvious, or this is a rather annoying oversight by Apple. It seems like it would be natural to have "Photos" be one of the options along with Events, Faces, Places, Albums and Projects in full screen mode. Right now the only work around I've been able to come up with (aside from going back and forth with fullscreen mode), and to hit "command F" while in full screen mode, and then type "i", which will give me what I am want only because all my photos start with "i". Not a very elegant work around, I know, but perhaps I am missing something very obvious.
    Thanks for any advice!
    James

In case my description isn't clear, here is a screenshot of exactly the view in full screen mode I am talking about  that I can't seem to return to once I leave it, other than to go back to non full screen mode or use the search trick.

  • How to exit full screen mode mail message

Inexplicably, when i open messages in Mail, they appear in something like full screen mode.   The message viewer window is not in full screen mode, but if i open any message, the message takes up the whole screen. I can drag the message in order to see other things on the desktop, but i can't adjust the size of the window to the size i want, and see no way of exiting full screen mode. I lookd in Help, but it only shows how to enter Full Screen, not how to exit it.
In the View menu, there is an option to enter full screen.  When i have the full screen sized message open on top, the enter full screen option in the View menu is greyed out.  If i have the normal sized window for the message viewer window on top, the enter full screen is not grayed out and could be selected.  I do not select it since there appears to be no 'exit full screen' option that i can see and i don't want to multiply this problem.
I know this might be a silly question, but if they have an enter full screen option, why wouldn't they also have an exit full screen option?
Or is there an exit full screen option which exists somewhere that i have not been able to find?  I've searched Apple Discussions and Google but so far have not found a way to un-full screen my Mail messages.  This started this morning.
    Can anyone help?
I do not know how it got into full screen mode.  It was not something i did deliberately or knowingly.
i have tried quitting and restarting Mail but the full screen message mode returns.
How can i get my mail messages out of this very annoying and awkward screen hogging mode?
I have only been using Mail since last November when i got a new MBP with Mountain Lion, which meant that for the first time since 1995, i could not use the simple straightforward faultless Eudroa anymore.  So i have had my struggles with Mail.  Trying to get through it.  This is the most recent of various similar issues, inexplicable problems without apparent solutions.  Sort of Microsoft-like.
I will be really grateful for any help.. thanks

Press Control + Command + F on your keyboard to enter or exit full screen mode.

  • Stopping the full screen mode auto-advancing

(This was originally posted a week or so ago in what turned out to be the wrong forum.  I can't move the thread, so I'm reposting it here.)
I've been googling and searching  for this for some time; the only other post I've found[*] with the same  problem never got an answer.  So here goes.
We're using Acrobat reader  9.3.0 on XP.  I'm not very familiar with the software used to create the PDFs; trying to ask the authors what they used got a semi-garbled  reply including the words "presentation adobe photoshop cs2", if that  helps any.  (Their English is only so-so, and there's at least one layer  of overworked translators between us, so there's a good deal of mind  reading going on.)
Pulling up any of the PDFs in Full Screen Mode starts a  sort of slideshow, advancing every few seconds.  This is hellishly  annoying when trying to read more than a few words or follow more than  an inch or two of a line diagram.  I tried bringing up Preferences,  selecting the Full Screen tab, and unchecking "Advance every ___  seconds", but this had no effect.  Exiting the reader and starting it  back up after making the change also had no effect (and I double-checked  that the box is still unchecked).  I was going to try checking the option and then typing a 0 in the space, but it gave an error that  the number had to be 1-60.
Setting it to 60 delays the slide show for a  minute, for whichever page I happen to be viewing at the time of  bringing up the Preferences window, but after autoadvancing to the next  page, it reverts to advancing every few seconds.
The  "left-click forwards, right-click back" option was checked, and that  does work, but having to continually hop back a page and find my place  in a diagram again is tediously unproductive.  Hitting the space bar  just advances the page immediately, trying other space bar combinations  had no effect.
What  option(s) do I need to twiddle to turn off the autoadvance altogether?

Ah, my mistake.  The reader is the only piece of this software family I've used, for some reason everyone in the office calls it Acrobat.  I'll see if I can move the thread to the correct forum, or if not, I'll post a question there.  Thank you!
Have you looked at the Preferences for your copy of Reader?
Use the menu bar "Edit => Preferences => Category: Full Screen" and look at the options. You should be able to set the time limit or turn it off.
As I wrote in my post, none of that worked.

  • I can't restore my toolbars and the "full screen" mode button is NOT at the top right-hand corner of my browser (or anywhere else)

My toolbar and menu is gone from Firefox. I have tried closing the browser and opening new ones and all the suggestions in the help forums on this website (as well as several others). Pressing "alt", "F10", "F11" and SEVERAL other things have NOT helped.
There is no full screen mode button anywhere on my browser and when I put my cursor at the top of the window, NO menu options appear at all.
I normally would quit Firefox but the icon won't appear in my dock and my computer won't let me eject the application (to download again) because apparently it's in use (even when I've closed all windows).

F11 doesn't work on a Mac to toggle full screen mode.
Make sure that you do not run Firefox in full screen mode (press F11 or Fn + F11 to toggle; Mac: Command+Shift+F).

  • Weird screen issues in full screen mode

This problem here could as well be posted under the MacPro section, but I'll give it a try here first:
I have a brand new MacPro 6-core with the HD 5870 graphics card option. I use a dual screen setup with a Cinema HD 23" (Aluminium body) hooked up using the Mini Display Port Adpater and a brand new NEC PA241W hooked up using the big DVI connector.
The Cinema Display is secondary, while the NEC is primary.
Everything runs fine until I go to full screen mode in Aperture (3.1). As soon as I use one of the floating windows of Aperture (like when pressing "H" or when using the Crop Tool) the image, which is displayed full screen on the NEC while having the browser on the ACD, starts to behave very awkward. When using the crop tool for example, it will get reduced to about 80% of the full screen size. When I move the mouse somewhere on the ACD it gets back to full screen. This then goes back and forth every time I move my mousepointer somewhere.
Similarily, when I start to edit a few sliders with the Adjustments panel, the NEC image sometimes gets darker for a split second and then back up to normal brightness. Same here: when I move the mouse pointer on the ACD, it usually triggers this in any kind of way.
As you can imagine, there is no way of working fluently and it gets on my nerves pretty fast, making full screen view unusable. In the normal window view, there is no such behavior at all.
I have the feeling, that there seems to be something wrong with either the HD 5870, it's drivers, something in Aperture itself (no problems in any other Application so far) or any combination of all of the above together.
Before this setup I used a iMac with the ACD attached and never had any issues.
    Any ideas?

    - it's just one card, the optional HD 5870
    - I switched the primary/secondary between the NEC and the ACD and also switched the way they connect to the GC, still the same. So it occurs on the ACD as well and it does not matter if either display is connected using the DVI or the Mini Display Port (therefore I think it's not a display issue)
    - I always update everything right away, so my systems are always running the latest of everything, OS X, Aperture...
    - I used the profile which was default for the NEC and a calibrated one for the ACD. But since it occurs on both monitors, I don't think this is an issue. It is highly unlikely that there are two broken profiles at the same time causing the exact same bug
Meanwhile I got an answer from somebody in another Mac forum and he could reproduce this behavior on his MacPro, which is from 2008 and has the 5770 card. So it narrows down even further and seems to affect older MP's and the 5770 card as well. I'm indeed glad that somebody else experiences the same, because I was worried that my brand new MP was broken.
Here are the exact steps how to reproduce it (you need a MP + Aperture + 2 Displays):
    1. go to full screen with "F"
    2. enable the HUD using "H"
    3. lock the HUD to the viewer using the small button in the upper right corner of the HUD
    4. activate any of the quick brushes, like dodge or burn
    5. the picture, which should be full screen on the primary display, will now reduce in size to about 70% and will be sitting on the right hand side of the screen
