Full-screen Slideshow Set-up

I want to create custom image slides from large scale high res photos in photoshop or illustrator to use in the Full-screen Slideshow widget in Muse. What height and width dimensions should I create the original image slides in before I load them into the widget to get the best image quality without compromising page loading speed?

Hi
This would actually depend on images that are used and how you are planning the layout on pages , as you can use split contents to lower down the loading speed or use few contents on page with high resolution.
There are resources which would give you an idea as how you can optimize the contents in best way without compromising with quality,

  • Change background colour of full screen slideshow when set to fit content proportionally

I've signed up for a demo of Muse and must say I'm very impressed. Having used Dreamweaver in the past at Uni, often getting bogged down in code, Muse is a designers dream. I've even told some friends about it, describing it as "InDesign for web designers". The features, and tutorials on Adobes site, are fab however I'm now needing a bit of assistance.
I'd like several images to fit the whole screen on a specific section of my Muse website, right under the navigation bar. I've noticed the easiest way to do this is create a full screen slideshow. With this option I can add one, or multiple, pictures to fade in and out - communicating various messages and selling points. By default the widget options are set to Fill Frame, which expands my graphic to completely fill the browser. Unfortunately with this selected the image loses some quality and seems to zoom in, getting cropped in the process. When changing the settings to Fit Content Proportionally everything looks great. The graphic is smack bang right under my navigation like I desire however there is also a ghastly grey box either side because the graphic is now it's original size. The grey on either side seems to be the slideshow background colour but I am unable to figure out a way to alter this - from grey to black. Please see the link for more info: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/50403221/Screen%20Shot%202014-08-14%20at%2018.00.34.pn g
Would any fellow Musers know of a way to get round this? Or perhaps should this be an enhancement request?
    Thanks, Chris

    Hi Chris,
Can you select the slideshow widget that you have added and check the fill color in control panel.

  • I have a 4K monitor and want to see a full screen slideshow using the jpeg generated when I "save" a raw file in the raw converter.

I have a 4K monitor (actually a 50 inch Samsung TV).  Looking at my daily photographs on this monitor is astonishing, wonderful, etc. but there is one fly in the ointment so to speak.  With previous monitors when I selected slideshow I could get a full screen "fit or fill" slideshow that I used for grading my images.  My initial work flow all happens in Bridge and Camera Raw.  It goes like this: I download my raw files using Bridge.  In the thumbnail view I delete all the obviously bad images.  Then using Bridge I open each raw file using my preferred presets for sharping and such.  If I like the image I "Save" it to the same folder as a full sized maximum quality JPEG.
Now we get to the part that doesn't work.  At this point I usually start a full screen slideshow and rate each of the JPEGs I have saved.  What I see is a 1920 x 1080 preview image blown up to full screen size which of course looks awful.  Why can't I just view a slightly reduced JPEG image created on the fly by Bridge.  I guess I could tell Bridge to create 3840 x 2160 previews and they would display correctly, but that would be a big hit on disk space.
When I run slideshow using the 1080 pixel preview, I can click on the preview I click on the displayed image and start a full resolution slideshow of the saved JPEGs but the outer edges of the image are not viewable because the image has not been reduced to fit on the monitor screen.
Does anyone know how I can get Bridge to show a full screen slideshow using the saved JPEGs?

Sounds like a driver issue. I never tested in bridge, so I could be wrong. But it sounds to me that when you are connected to that screen, your settings are not set to the full resolution of that screen.

  • How to adjust the position of an image in a full screen slideshow

Hi I'am using a full screen slideshow composition on my page and muse is not letting me adjust the position of the image to the top, middle or bottom of the frame under the fill option when the image is selected in the slideshow.
I also find it very buggy when previewing the page in a browser, some time it re-sizes the image only larger but never scales down proportionately, only on rare occasions. Why does this happen?
Can someone please help ASAP I need to get this site done by tomorrow.
    Thanks,
    Gary

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
The effect you're looking for is 'Scale'
In Keynote '09, 5.1.1 select the graphic.
Click Inspector in the tool bar, Build Inspector (3rd icon from the left), (Build In and Build Out are both set to None for this step) Effect, Action, and then Scale.
It rescales ('zooms') the selected item (image) up or down from 0% to 200%
Clicking on the More Options button at the bottom opens a drawer to the left, and gives you more control over how the build occurs, whether they happen automatically, timed, or when you click, and re-order build steps.
At 200%, double the original size, resolution could be a problem. There is a workaround, because it also scales smaller, down to 0%. So I would scale the graphic down 'small' as the first step to fit at the bottom, (even hide it behind a background-colored box) as you scale it down, and then at the end, scale up to full size to fill the screen at 'normal' resolution.
In the attached example, I use a 'scale' up to go from 100% to 130% on a map, and use arrows and a flashing line to point out the road where a specific business is located with 12 steps. Some elements in my slides have been intentionally obscured. For simplicity, I've eliminated showing any steps but the initial title and the scale.

  • How do I pause a full screen slideshow in Reader?

Is there any way to pause a full-screen slideshow in the latest version of Adobe Reader?  All of the information I can find about this says to use the Spacebar (or Ctrl-Spacebar) to do this, but this just makes it advance for me.  I see this on more than one system, and I've read a few other posts from people saying they have this problem.  Somebody on the Lightroom forums just confirmed today that it didn't work for them either, so it's not unique to my system.
My slideshows were created in Lr.  The Lr documentation says that the duration and fade rates set in Lr will be ignored in the pdf slideshow, but just as a test I tried both enabling and disabling this feature when outputting the pdf slideshow.  It made no difference.
Is this a bug in Reader, or is there perhaps a command I'm unaware of to pause pdf slideshows?
Thanks for any help with this,
    Larry

Thanks for taking the time to post -- especially to a thread that was started almost a year ago.  I'll give your suggestion a try.

  • Transparent footer over full-screen slideshow not rendering correctly

I've placed a white box set to 80% opacitiy behind the text in my footer so the footer shows in front of a full-screen slideshow. It looks perfect in Design mode, but when I preview the page the transparency only renders in the top 20 pixels of the white box. The rest of the transparent white box isn't there, so the text is unreadable in front of the image (see attached images).
The footer is on the master page on a level above the slideshow, which is on a content page.
    Thanks!

    Hi
    Please check few possibilities :
    - If any composition is used on page , try to check if there is space between border edged of rectangle ( footer) and composition frame.
    - Check if footer overlaps with another page element
    - Try to scale down the text frame so that text frame border does not falls on rectangle border edges.
    - Preview in browser ( use different browsers )
    - resize rectangle ( with opacity )
If still same, then please let me know the site url.
    Thanks,

  • Full Screen Slideshow image sizing issue

    Hi all,
I am creating full screen slideshow for the first time.
I have added the slideshow into the DEISGN mode and it all looks perfectly fine. However, once I am in PREVIEW or PREVIEW IN BROWSER mode the image is at fullscreen but it seems to be zoomed in or cropped tighter.
The slideshow images are set to FILL FRAME PROPORTIONALLY. I have tried experimenting with different settings, page sizes, changing margins, changing header/footer guides, different image sizes etc... but no success.
    I am on a 27-inch (2560 x 1440) IMAC.
    help???
I have attached two images to show what I mean. Notice in PREVIEW mode how the image appears to be tighter/cropped/magnified.
    Thanks

    Thanks Zac,
So do you think I should change to Fit Content Proportionally?
And then recrop my images so the aspect ratios match my browser window or the page dimensions in Muse?
Sorry if these are stupid questions. I'm new to all this

  • Quick full screen slideshow question

Hello, I'm so so close to finishing my first website with Adobe Muse, but there's just one thing that's keeping it from being perfect. I'm trying to create a website similar to this -- http://www.heatherannecampbell.com/ I've got all my photos ready, the navigation bar is all designed, but when I use the full screen slideshow widget, I can only either make it full screen, which obstructs my navigation bar or I can uncheck the full screen have my navigation bar shown, but the left and right columns just appear white - Like so http://imgur.com/oBRNAt7
    Thanks for your help!!

    Hello,
Do you mean to say that you are unable to see the navigation bar when fullscreen is checked in Full screen Slideshow widget.
If yes, then you just need to check the layers, Navigation bar needs to be on the top layer. Please refer to Screenshot below.
You can share some screenshot of Plan view so that we can get better idea of what all setting you are using.

  • How to auto rotate Images on Full Screen Slideshow if pictures were taken mixed Portrait and Landsca

In Muse: How to auto rotate Images on Full Screen Slideshow if pictures were taken mixed Portrait and Landscape

There is no way that Muse would automatically rotate the images. What you can instruct Muse to do is whether you want to show all image content and leave blank space in either direction OR scale the image to fill the frame resulting in some cropping, but filling the otherwise blank space.
The options are Fit Content Proportionally and Fill Frame Proportionally respectively.

  • Pin images in Full Screen Slideshow???

I am using a full screen slideshow in Muse and it appears that all the images are proportionately resized with fill frame and pinned in the center. This means that if some of my images of people don't have the same general layout, some photos have heads cut off, etc. Is there any way to pin these images to the top or bottom so I can have some sort of uniformity? As it is, about have of the images work perfect, while the others look odd because the subject has part of his head obscured by the menu. I know this can be done with a simple fill, but in the slideshow option, you don't have that choice. I have done this with flat out parallax coding, but no idea how to accomplish it in Muse.
    Thanks for the quick responses!

    Hi
With images in Full screen slideshow we cannot define different pattern for separate images, all images will be used as fullscreen and will resize with browser.
In your case where few images are not same and includes cut off parts , you will need to modify the images outside Muse using any image editor and then use in slideshow.
Or try to modify the layout of the page with page elements if they overlapp any specific page section.
    Thanks,
    Sanjit

  • Need help with full screen slideshow image quality

I am looking to display some images with full screen slideshow. The images I add are very large, over 5000 wide. When I publish the site some images retain their quality while others lose it and look like crap. Why would this be and how can I fix it. I tried to resize them to the 2560x1707 that muse does, and then add them. This doesn't change the end result of poor quality.

Go to Assets Panel and locate the image you want to use at original size. Right click the image and chose 'Import Larger Size'.
See if that helps retain quality for that image, since Muse does not resize/interpolate that image for you.

  • Adobe Muse Full Screen Slideshow image quality

    Hi,
I have a question. Is it natural that if i add an image to my slideshow the quality of it in adobe muse or in my browser is worse than original size? My image is rather big 3400x and when it is exported to muse i see pixels and blur effect etc. Is it possible to not resample image quality in muse is there any option to stay with original quality??

    Hi,
The way full screen slideshow is currently implemented Muse is resampling the hero images to the size they are in Design view. For most cases that will work fine, but there's no easy way to force a higher resolution image to be output. The only workaround that comes to mind would be to replace the image after publish/upload/export.
    Hope this helps.

  • No full screen slideshow on 30" Apple display?

I'm not having any luck in showing a slideshow in full screen on my monitor. It's an Apple 30" display.
No matter what settings I choose the shots are always cropped. Almost like when you show 4:3 content on a widescreen TV.
The 'Widescreen" preset results in the image floating in the middle of the display with a lot of black surrounding it. Too much of the screen is not in use.
    Anyone else having this issue?
    Thanks

Try first setting Standard Previews to the same or larger than the Resolution of the 30" Screen in Catalog Settings. Then have LR render Standard Previews for the intended images. Then try running the slideshow.
    That may help.

  • How to change Preview's Full screen default setting from "two-pages" to "continuous scroll"

I am using OS X mavericks on my mid 2013 Air.
I usually need to open multiple PDFs during my work and I prefer to put them all in full screen for easy swapping. I was able to change the setting which allowed me to open PDFs in "continuous scroll". However, the PDFs became two-pages display again when I put them into full screen and I can't find any setting which allow me to change the full screen default display mode. Is there a way to do it or it is simply not possible.? Could Apple just add an option for us to change it? Thanks in advance for any help.

You may also need to reset the page zoom on pages that cause problems.

  • Captions missing in Full Screen  Slideshow

I added captions to my photos but I don't see the captions on the full screen or slide show. Thank you for your help.

Thats simple. You would need to select the images in the imagewell, click the Create button and select PDF slideshow from the drop-down menu. This will take you to Create PDF Slidesow window. Click Create on this window to create your slideshow. By default, this will save your slideshow in My Documents Folder. You can view this slideshow using Adobe Reader 7.0 or Acrobat.
