Full version vs monthly subscription download functionality?

Hi,
I've been successfully using a version of Captivate 7 that was downloaded and part of a monthly subscription license. Now my job has purchased a full license for me. They have loaded that version onto my laptop. Also, I am now on running on a more recent version of OX10 than before. I am on v10.9.2.
My problem is that some of the functionality is not working. I do not have the menu of widgets that I had before and when I go to preview my slides or when I load a published swf file, it doesn't show up in my browser. Any suggestions?

Welcome to Adobe forums.
There is no difference in usage of the software whether it is a monthly subscription or perpetual license. If you are not able to use some of the functionality I would suggest you to recreate the Captivate Preferences first by following the method mentioned below.
Reset your preferences back to defaults you need to either rename or delete the Captivate Preferences folder in your OS user profile.  The location of this folder varies by OS.
Windows Vista and Windows 7: C:\Users\[user name]\AppData\Local\Adobe\Adobe Captivate 7 folder
Windows XP:  C:\Documents and Settings\[user name]\Local Settings\Application Data\Adobe\Adobe Captivate 7 folder
Mac:  /Users/[user name]/Library/Preferences/Adobe Captivate 7 folder
Just close down Captivate, delete or rename the specified folder at mentioned above location, then restart Captivate. It will re-initialise your Preferences (including any custom Workspaces you set up) so that they are now reset to what they were when Captivate was first installed.
If that doesn't work then you need to uninstall Captivate completely and reinstall it.
And also update it to the current updates available for Captivate 7. you can download the updates from the link mentioned below.

  • Bought full version, but insist it is trial. no serial number + error message + customer support

    1. I just bought a full version 12 year subscription, after first downloading a trial version. It now insists on remaining a trial version, and ask me to submit a serial number. I can not find it.
    2. I have made a combined pdf, and edited text into it. This worked until page 70. Now I keep getting an error message, and it won't allow me to edit more text. I use a Mac OS X 10.9.2
    3. Is this actually the customer support that adobe offers?

  • Re-installing an in-app purchase from lite to full version

    Hi, I know that if I delete a purchased app by accident I can redownload from the app store and it will recognize I had previously purchased the app and install again without charging. What about an app that the full version was purchased from within the lite app? Do I download the full version, or need to download the lite version again? Appreciate the info.

    Try loading the full app. Make sure before you do, however, that iTunes is asking you for the amount of purchase, or that you have this app and want to redownload it. One will cost you--the other won't.

    They are the same product.
    The "full" is a traditional perpetual license. Install - register - activate - use.
    Does not "call home" to validated that is a paid for install (the one time activation takes care of that).
    Internet? Connectivity is needed in order to download and install updates.
    (& Yes, you do want those)
    The "subscription" license will require periodic internet connectivity. If I recall correctly all "subscription" applications must call home once a month.
    That is how the application "knows" it is being paid for and is legit.
    While within the call home periodicity connectivity is not required for usage of the application.
    As with a "full" license you'll need connectivity to download/install application updates

    There are two different LR’s, one with a serial-number licensing and one with a CC-signin license.
    You should uninstall the serial-number LR you have installed, then
    Quit the CC Desktop application,
    Restart the CC Desktop application—this will rescan what you have installed and not see LR,
    LR will now be on the CC Desktiop apps list, so install that.

    Depends. Depends on if you really need everything and how fast do you want it.

  • I have a full version of photoshop on my mac but downloaded a master collection trial, now photoshop will not open because the trial expired.

    I had a full version of CS6 photoshop on my macbook and then downloaded a Masters Collection trial a few months ago.  Photoshop has been working fine until today when I tried to go on, it told me that my trial was over.  I had the full version on my computer before I downloaded the masters collection so I thought it would still work.  Is there a way I can fix this or am I out of luck?  I really don't want to have to buy another version of photoshop again.  (I also have Bridge on my computer too from before downloading the trial and that is still functioning just fine)

    Does your Cloud subscription properly show on your account page?
    If you have more than one email, are you sure you are using the correct Adobe ID?

    Cloud programs do not use serial numbers... you log in to your paid Cloud account to download & install & activate... you MAY need to log out of the Cloud and restart your computer and log back in to the Cloud for things to work

  • I am now using a different MacBook Pro, and want to install my CC, I have done that and downloaded the Photoshop App but its a trial version. How do I get the full version of the apps?

    I had a new MacBook Pro that was damaged and I am now using a different MacBook pro as my primary computer (running yosemite 10.10.1).
    I did uninstall the Creative Cloud off the old MacBook before I stopped using it.
    I have downloaded the Creative Cloud and signed in using my adobe username and password, but when I went to download the Photoshop App it is only giving me the TRIAL VERSION.
    How do I make sure that the apps are the full version that I have already paid for? (I do know that my subscription is still current)

    The Photoshop Photography Program Plan do not have any limitation of Usage , Its a Subscription with a one year committment where in you will be charged on monthly basis .
    How ever if you want to store any files etc , then we have 20 GB space for storage like in Creative Cloud

    This and it said there was an error and my computer did not support it...I have a Window 8 laptop.
    For Adobe DC - if I download this again I would like to know all the programs or whatever that I need for all of its functions to work.  All i want to do is save a file, that seems ridiculous that they would not include it in the application when it is so integral to its function.
