Fullscreen: Pages turn automatically, but they shouldnt

Hi,
I work on a notebook with a relatively small screen. So, when I read a document I do that typically in fullscreen mode. Never had any trouble with that.
Today I had to watch a few documents. And from one document to the next it starts to turn the pages automatically. I have no idea why.
Of cause I asked google and checked several options in the reader. The option to turn pages automatically is switched off. When I switch it on, the behavior is exactly the same; when I switch it off nothing happens - it continue to switch pages when I'm in Fullscreen.
I really tried everything. I uninstalled the Reader and installed it again, but now way - the pages turn automatically. That is really, really annoying. Has anyone an idea how to switch that off? Or at least, how I uninstall the Reader and kill every information? Because obviosly not everything is deleted - else the automatic page turn should be off after I installed it again.
I would tell you which options I tried, but my reader is german, and I have no idea how the options are named in english. But I have no problem to find the options if you tell me which one has to be changed - even if you give me the english names.

Can you clarify whether you're viewing the file in Read Mode (Ctrl+H) or Full Screen mode (ctrl+L)? Does this happen with all your files or just certain ones?

In cases like this, the first guess is Align to Pixel Grid.
You may select everything and then untick Align to Pixel Grid in the Transform palette, and also untick Align New Objects to Pixel Grid in the flyout options.
You may avoid document types with that as default (RGB for web and the like) or change the default for such documents.

After installing OS 6, I chose the option to have my podcasts download automatically, but they just say preparing to download and nothing happens. Is there still a way to manually download or is a fix coming?

Can't read on-screen documents in Pages or Numbers, but they print correctly. Any suggestions?

Shortly after installing Yosemite on my iMac I had a system malfunction which meant the OS had to be re-installed. Since then I have not been able to read any iWorks documents, Pages or Numbers, on the screen, nor produce any new documents. The font colour is set to black and it doesn't make any difference if I enlarge the font or change the colour; I am still left with a blank screen. The same goes for Pages and Numbers documents downloaded from my external hard disc. Bizarrely, the documents print out perfectly. Has anyone any idea how I can get round this problem? Ted Cox

In a word, yes. In a little more detail.... When you restore from an iCloud backup, you must erase the device and start all over again. There is no other way to access the backup in iCloud without erasing the device. Consequently, you are starting all over again. Therefore, it would also be my assumption that Pages and Numbers will work again and that the deleting apps issues would be fixed as well.
If the documents are not in the backup, and you do not have a backup elsewhere, the documents could be gone forever.

Add-on set to update automatically but they do not

"Update add-ons automatically" is selected but plug-ins are not updating automatically. For example, I had to update the Quicktime plug-in manually.
There is also larger problem of Firefox crashing unless I open it in Safe Mode. I have now disabled more Add-ons but not tested yet. I hope that disabling add-ons solves the problem but if the troubleshooting information gives any clues about why it keeps crashing, please let me know as well.

You can only automatically update extensions that are installed in the Firefox profile folder and not extensions that are installed globally and also not plugins as those are not part of the Firefox program. 
You always need to update plugins via the program that installed them or via their web page.

My MacBook Air keeps randomly turning off but they keyboard is still lit.

I'll be doing work on my MacBook Air that I only got a month or so ago. and the screen with suddenly turn black. The laptop isn't off as the keyboard is still lit. It is fully charged and plugged in. I have pressed all the buttons but it still won't turn on. I have to press and hold the On/off Button to restart the whole computer. This makes me lose my work. Any ideas?

Can we keep page turn and accessibility in InDesign/PDF CS6?

I have been working on an accessible PDF for awhile now and my client wants this doc look more interesting by applying 'page turn' and animation. Understanding we only could export as SWF for the page turn functionality but at the same time we lose all the accessibility. Is there anyway we can keep both? If it's not, are there any software to do that?
Also, for my understanding, these SWF files are not compatible with iOS device except Android? Ummm its a bit of drag when you can export SWF from InDesign and yet can not be view in Apple??
Any advice would be appreciated!

Whoever told you that was misinformed or lying. Those applications are sold separately for the iOS platform and the Mac platform.
Go to the Mac App Store to purchase Pages and Numbers for your Mac. They're $20 each. If you are running an older version of Mac OS X that can't use the Mac App Store, you can purchase install media from Apple.

I had downloaded a lot of free books in the past as a trial when iBooks was first released and since then I have decided I no longer want them, because of this I hid them from the purchased section of the iBooks store. The 5 books left are ones I decided to keep as seen in the following picture.

I would still like to keep this book available in the cloud incase I want to download it again in the future. If you have hidden a book from your purchases it should not show up in the mac Ibooks app. (I am aware you can never actually delete a purchase, just hide them and that hidden purchases can be restored to your account from within the account management section of the iBooks store).

It worked for me and my "user" site (don't know how to say my site) and still having problems with my wife's. You should still disable this setting:
*Firefox > Options/Preferences > Advanced > General : Accessibility : [ ] "Warn me when web sites try to redirect or reload the page"
The setting in "Options > Advanced > General" is meant as an accessibility feature, as you can see by the label of that section, so that people with disabilities or people who use screen readers do not get confused and is not meant as a safety protection to stop redirecting.
What is the value of the accessibility.blockautorefresh pref on the about:config page?

How can I stop pages from automatic reloading, I am aware of the option in advanced, but it does not work for pages like Yahoo News and Drudge Report.

I am trying to stop pages from being able to automatically reload. Sites such as Drudge Report and now Yahoo News anre reloading before I have a chance to read them and it confuses me due to a disability besides just being annoying. I have found the option in tools-advanced-accessibility and checked it but they still reload. And I did close Firefox and restart.
I am using version 3.6.8 Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.8) Gecko/20100722

The Drudge Report site has a script to reload after 3 minutes:

The Yahoo page probably has something similar.
You can try NoScript to see if you can block that refresh.

How do I turn off the "firefox prevented this page from automatically redirecting to another page" dialogue ?

I am a mac user. I tried to access my bank account, but firefox 3.6.8 prevents me by telling me: "firefox prevented this page from automatically redirecting to another page". This is NOT a dialogue which I can click a button. Instead, nothing happens when I type my bank's URL while a small message appears below the URL field bar. I do not have the OPTIONS under the Tools menu (like on Windows version) and my preferences does not give me any option to turn this thing off. Can any one HELP me as I cannot have access to my bank website?

Can you automate 'page turn' transition when exporting a document to Flash?

I have created a multi-page document with a page turn transition which I have exported to Flash to upload to a website. The page turning works fine manually but I want to automate the effect, remaining on each page for 30 seconds before automatically turning. Is there a way of doing this? Any advice gratefully recieved!

Google blogs says that my cookies functionality is turned off, but in the privacy section it says "accept cookies from sites until they expire"--so I don't know what the problem is. is

When I go to post on a google blog and it asks me to sign in, I get a message that says that my cookies fuctionality is turned off, but when I go to firefox, to preferences and privacy, "accept cookies from sites until they expire" is checked. iPhones do not have international warranties. The only place in which you can get Apple service on your phones would be Hong Kong. Unless you have AppleCare, neither of these phones is under warranty. It is likely that the best Apple could offer you is an out-of-warranty replacement.

I save my websites before turning off the computer, but they are gone when I turn the computer back on.

When you log out or shut down, there will be a checkbox that asks you if you want to reopen windows when you log in. Just uncheck this box. If that isn't it, you may have login items turned on. Go to System Preferences>Users and Groups and then under your name click the Login Itens tab. Make sure nothing is there.
If you want to stop windows from restoring when you open applications (so for example when you open Safari it doesn't open the 50 tab page you just had open when you quit) go to SystemPreferences>General and then hit the checkbox that says Close windows when quitting an application.
