Fullscreen Slideshow Fade Transition has strange white instance.

I had an existing full-screen slide show background that worked perfectly. It rotated between two similar images, but one has a watermark. The original slide show transitioned between these two images seamlessly allowing for the faint watermark to appear nicely. Now, for no appaent reason, there is a white glow that happens between the two images, rendering the magical appearance of the warkmark to look not-so-good. Why is this weird white glow now happening between the slides? Can it be removed? Not sure where to make that happen if it is possible.
Edit: Figured out a work around by setting the browser fill to one of the images, which removes the fade hick-up. Still interested to know if there is a way to make a fade transition that does not reveal what's behind the slide show.

Hi
Can you check if you have applied any effect or stroke value to Hero Image as this would be a probable reason for the issue.
Also, as you have mentioned you can always use image or color for background which would work as a workaround.
Thanks,
Sanjit

• PDF Presentation from Photoshop CS3 lacks Fade Transition

I'm using Photoshop and Bridge CS3 extended and the PDF Presentation
tool for creating a slideshow doesn't contain a "Fade" transition. It has
many other goofy transitions that I would be embarrassed to
use professionally.
I don't know if this is the correct place to ask this question or if I'm doing
this correctly (I've never posted to a forum before). I'm guessing that
Acrobat creates the slideshow but maybe Photoshop does it.
Anybody know?
Thanks!

That function has been transferred to the Output Module in Bridge.
Make absolutely certain you apply the Bridge Output Module update.

• Fullscreen slideshow 'DOWNSCALE ONLY' option please

Currently images pixelate and lose quality when browser viewport is sized larger than the image. This is not acceptable for a photography gallery.
Please include 'DOWNSCALE ONLY' option for fullscreen slide shows.
I don't want to have to use huge images to cover every screen size possibility, because the images take too long to load.
Every slideshow product I've ever seen has a 'downscale only' option to avoid image pixelating in a larger browser viewport.
Why is this still not an option in Muse fullscreen slideshow?

Of course there is!
Simply connect the audio L+R (white and red) plugs directly to the audio input source you want to use, such as the import source of your stereo (you may need to use extension RCA/phono cables, 2 male to 2 female). The composite video (yellow) plug, or S-Video if using the Photo Dock, will stay connected to your chosen TV or monitor source.

• Exporting animated gifs with fade transitions in PS CS6

So I created a basic slideshow banner with three different images that fade from one to the next. When I preview it on the timeline, everything looks great, but when I go to save for web and select gif, then hit play for a preview, the fade transitions are gone and they just hard cut from one to the next. Anyone know how to keep those fade transitions when exporting?

The only way to optimize this is to use less colors and define the frame durations manualyl in the timeline in frame mode, i.e. setting the actual posters to a very long duration on a single frame and then only have the transition regions use multiple frames with short durations. Still, I don't think you will ever arrive at 40-50kB. Even a normal mail blast with static PNGs/ GIFs and JPEGs is larger than that if it contains a huge logo, decorative lines and borders and button graphics... It's unrealistic. With the above optimizations you may get to somewhere about 300kB, but not below, if you wnat to retain the fades. They are what makes your files fat because they introduce lots of colors in teh palette that can't be optimized away easily...

• How to make a fullscreen slideshow like this?

and also the font too. can i do it in final cut pro x? or maybe iMovie? thanks guys!
You can use any font available on your system, so if the font is there, or can be bought or downloaded, just use it.
As for the effect, if you mean the text flowing from right to left, you can do it in FCP X pretty easily. Either use a title meant for that sort of movement (like Alex4D Ticker+, which is a free download), or just use a static title like Basic, enter a long text and keyframe the position.
As for the big shake, you may try the "Earthquake" effect that comes standard with FCP X.

• Opening an .eps in Photoshop - strange white areas around image?

Hi all,
I created a vector image in Illustrator, saved it as an .eps, and then opened it in Photoshop. It has a strange white background, any idea why it's there and how I can get rid of it?
Here a screenshot:

Just had to save is as a .psd in illustrator and was able to open it with proper transparency in photoshop.

• Strange white light appearing when password input required on locked apps!

Strange white light appearing when password input required on specific apps... Locked apps.
It is a thick white line) appearing momentarily on upper left side of my screen.
This only appears briefly as specific apps are opening up .....only on apps where a password is required,(locked apps) like password managers, Apple App Store, etc.
(this is a little troubling… And I'm wondering about the security of my phone now)
I'm using iPhone 5s with latest iOS 7.1 This only started after the latest iOS update!
Although this line appears very briefly, I was able to get some screenshots examples (see links)

Apple has no idea what this is… They're only suggestion was to wipe the phone clean and reinstall from the last backup! If that doesn't work, they would replace the phone.
Before I have to do this, I'm wondering if this could be a phone app doing this, or the iOS or something easily explained/ remedied?
Any ideas?

Anyone have any thoughts on this? Searches and experiments

• Fullscreen slideshow mystery...

Hey guys,
Is there anyway of making the fullscreen slideshow display behind the master page headerbar? To clarify, when I set a header bar/logo on my master page then go to a child page (with the master applied to it) and activate a fullscreen slideshow, the slideshow completely covers it up. I've tried various things and nothing seems to be working. The only solution I've found is to disable the master page link on that one child page and locally stick a header bar/logo in there, but it kind of screws up the layout.
Thoughts from anyone smarter than me are very welcome!
Cheers!

• Strange white gap on the right when viewed on Iphone

Hey guys
When viewed on computer, my 100% width appears to be working fine. But when viewed on iphone (possibly would do same on ipad and ipod but i don't own those) there is a strange white gap on the right.Maybe about 10 px worth.
I noticed in the "services" section, some of the writing was over hanging this white gap so i thought maybe i coded it wrongly and it was pushing the whole screen across. However i shrunk the width of that container now and its not overhanging, but the white gap is still there
I would have a guess that it is a freaky padding or margin setting somewhere in my coding...
site: http://www.jpmediaonline.co.uk
Any thoughts?

It definitely does matter. Like I mentioned earlier, when you have a fixed width of 1,000px for your content container, your 100% width setting for your outer container will be ignored - which means priority is given to 1,000px thereby rendering the whitespace to the right as your background is again a 128px square image. One solution I can think of is to make your background image 1x1px square that you can repeat. See if this makes any difference.'
My site, the autoscroller - I didn't use any plug-in as such. I simply used scrollTop from jQuery API and changed the settings to match . You can read about it here: http://api.jquery.com/scrollTop/
Here's my actual function that I'm calling when a menu button is pressed to scroll the div ID associated with it to scroll to Top of the screen. Again, this works for me, as my menu is fixed to the top, unlike your site where each site has a menu bar.
$('ul#menu li a').click(function(){
                   var id = $(this).attr("href");
                   $('html,body').animate({scrollTop: $("div"+id).offset().top},'slow');
         return false;
$('a#link').click(function(){
                   var id = $(this).attr("href");
                   $('html,body').animate({scrollTop: $("div"+id).offset().top},'slow');
         return false;

• Transition has picked up a sound clip from elsewhere!

I'm having a right mare with these
I have still not managed to fix the problem of only being able to use fade or wash (see previous post on this) So has anyone got any more suggestions?
And now, to top it off, there are five clips I want a transition between, and for some bizarre reason, this is what happens: Clip 1 - 2 transition is looping the audio from the end of clip 1, clip 2-3 transition has picked up some audio from clip 2, clip 3-4 transition has picked up audio from the middle of clip 1, and 4-5 has audio from another part of clip 1!
What is going on and how can I stop it? All my other transitions are unaffected... (except that some variety would be nice!)

Hi there! didn't realise you were in NZ too! We are newbies here and loving it! Anyway...
The project was (until last night) on the internal, with 20GB to spare, but I have now shifted it to the new external drive, and we did format it beforehand as Karsten told me to:
http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1080899&tstart=30
"after purchasing this firewire drive, step1 is: launch Disk Utility, choose drive, choose erase, choose MacOsExtended as 'format' for your drive from the drop-down menu.. now, your new drive is ready for usage with iM ..."
It was thanks to Karsten that I purchased an external drive - memory did get down to 7.5 GB at one point. As I said, I don't know when this lack of transition options materialised... it could have always been there for all I know as this is the first movie I have ever done.
Any ideas of a fix?

• Swapping Components with Fade Transition

Hey,
There are many places in my application where I swap one component out for another one. I was trying to achieve a fade transition instead of just having the new component appear. I got it working, but it is very slow. Any ideas of how to get up the FPS?
Whenever I want to transition the content into the container, I create a new SwappableComponent with the two arguments.
Thanks!

• Slideshow Fades Not Smooth

Has anyone else noticed the slideshow fades being slow and clunky when set  anything greater than 0? Last night I tried running a slideshow with 40 images, all shot with a Canon 5d MarkIII and the fades were clunky and not smooth at all. I’m running the latest version LR on a 2014 (latest version) MBP with 16GB of RAM and SSD. Its a fast machine. I have not experienced this with other versions of LR. Any ideas on what may be going on?

> Anybody else noticed the same?
No, but I do see that flipping through images in Loupe is visually slower in 64 than in 32. Same was in the beta. Also it's very interesting that when I change images with the mouse wheel, the changes is instantaneous, when i use the keyboard - the image is slowly drawn from top to bottom.

• Moving fullscreen slideshow widget.

I'm trying to add a fullscreen slideshow to the top of my page. Anytime I add the widget however, it always positions itself in the middle of the site. I can't find any option to move it and even adjusting the page height, footer, header, etc.... just makes the slideshow reposition itself to the middle.
An example of what I'd like is the wild isles preview always shown where just below the main navigation they have a fullscreen slideshow. Is this possible?

Ok I done exaclty what you described and I got what you got in your screen shots above ... then AFTER I resized the Font Size to 200px I then (as I suggested) resized the white boxes individually, to a width of 175 NOT the Font Size but the actual box themselves using the white handles around the boxes, when they are selected ... I repositioned them accordingly ... after that they looked right ... ... as seen in my screenshots below ... the only difference being, I resized the white boxes which you didn't list in the numbered list, in your reply, above? ...
Did you mean that resizing the Font was actually resizing the boxes? ... could it be a misunderstanding? ... ...
My setup:

L655 has solid white power LED and soid orange battery LED and will not power on at all.  I tried a second power adaper.  Any other suggestions?  It does not even try to power on.  No fan or any other noises.

if it is not powering up on battery or AC, then there is either something wrong on the motherboard keeping it from powering up, or a bad power switch.  I personally have not encountered a bad power switch on any of my Toshibas, so I would suspect something with the motherboard.  It is strange that it does indicate that your plugged in and charging.  If you leave the power adapter plugged in, does the battery status eventually go white?

• My iPod Touch 4G's screen has gone white and has lines on the screen. How do I fix it? Help!

Hello everyone,
I've had an iPod Touch 4th generation for a few years now, and, today, for the first time, the screen has gone white and their are vertical lines on it. What happened was I accidentally dropped my iPod Touch on tile and it landed on its back. I tried it out right afterwards to see if it was still working and it seemed like it was perfectly fine. Later on, I got an email from one of my friends, so I slid the email button on the lock screen to see the email. In the email, there was a link to a gif image, so I opened it in Safari. After I was done with it, I closed that tab. I also had a second tab open from earlier, so I wanted to close that tab as well. When I clicked on the button to see all tabs and close one, the screen completely froze. I held on to the on/off button on the top of the iPod, and, after about a minute, the screen switched to a completely white screen with lines on it. I've tried holding onto the on/off button again and it doesn't work. I also tried plugging it into my Windows 7 computer and opening iTunes, but my computer doesn't even recognized it is plugged in. It won't appear under the "computer" section in Windows Explorer, which will allow me to do USB-related tasks with it. iTunes doesn't recognize that it is plugged in either, so I can't do anything like restore the iPod to factory settings. The home button on my iPod hasn't been working for a while so i've always been using the accessibility feature that gives me a home button on the screen. Now that I can't access that, I can't hold down both the on/off button and the home button at the same time. What should I do? Should I send it in to Apple for repairs (which I won't do and would rather buy a new iPod Touch)? I am thinking of just leaving it to, hopefully, have the battery drain and the iPod would die. Then, I could charge it and see what happens. Other than that, i'm just clueless right now and I have no idea what I should do. Please help me!
My iPod Touch is an iPod Touch 4th generation model with 8GB. It is running iOS 5.1.1.

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
