Fullscreen YouTube Videos Still Show Dock and Menubar?
I'm using Safari 5.0.1 and OS X (10.6.4)
Whenever I watch YouTube videos now, the menu bar and dock still show over the video.
This was recently happening to me in the Firefox 4 Beta 2, but not Firefox 3.6.
This is the first time I've seen this happen in Safari. The only extensions I have installed are:
-Google Search Cleanup
-Adblock Plus (I've disabled hiding ads in YouTube videos)
-ClicktoFlash, which isn't actually a recognized extension. It is currently disabled, though.
Can anyone help me with this?
you can make it disappear by clicking the menu bar but it's not a solution rather a workaround, temporarily i hope.
what is really strange for me was that:-
1) it only started yesterday, and i did not make any changes nor install anything new
2) it's still working fine in my other mac i.e. full screen with the dock disappear into the background
but could it be adobe's flash issue? have googled there but found nothing on this.

I have a 5th gen ipod and recently all of my video podcasts stopped showing up in my ipod. They still show up and play in itunes, just not in my video podcast list on my ipod. All of the podcasts are Quicktime Large. For some reason my ipod has stopped supporting Quicktime Large. Now I've had to redownload every video podcast as Quicktime Small.
Anyone have any ideas whether this is from the the software version 1.3 and if they'll fix it in the next update?I'm having same problem, but QT Small videos are also not getting synced.

Your above posted list of installed plugins doesn't show the Flash plugin for Firefox.

Just done a replacement of the pata DVD drive (its new and is working ok), and a fresh clean install of Snow Leopard with all updates, iMac 5.1 behaves strange, sometimes I start Google Chrome and look at youtube videos the computer freezes and shuts down immediately,
I believe its related to overheating ?
iStat Pro shows GPU diode temp at 66 C, CPU at 48 C, Fan rpms is around 1000
Any ideas somebody ?

I have restored this
from a time machine partition.
TimeMachine is only a backup and restore, it won't fix issues in software and according to your information, doesn't even optimize the restore for best performance on boot hard drives.

There shouldn't be need to reinstall OS X fresh unless your having file structure issues which if they are should appear when in the Steps, which then a zero erase and install will cure as well as any bad sector issues, the defrag step wouldn't be necessarry on a freshly installed system obviously as the files are written all together, not in portions all over the drive.

When I am on a Youtube video that is running and I want to switch to another tab, the Ctrl+<tab number> does not work, is that intended functionality?
This can happen when the video player (Flash plugin) has the focus.
In that case the plugin consumes all the key presses.
You will have to click with the mouse elsewhere on the page or in the user interface to make keyboard shortcuts work. -
i am unable to restore my iphone 4s " screen showing USB cable arrow showing to connect to iTunes" when i connect to itunes it after asking restore (step 3 without going to step 4) starts updating itunes with no effect to screen which is still showing usb and itunes symbols

I updated my storage to 20gb however my phone still shows 5gb and i can not download the update. iOS8 How can I change the setting on my phone to 20gb.
You can't update on-device storage like that...you are probably referencing iCloud storage, which doesn't effect your on-board memory. Plug your phone in to iTunes and download the update that way...no deleting apps or anything...it's much easier.

Flash needs to completely unload from memory (restarting Firefox might help) before this would take effect. -
Embedded youtube video not showing up in IE
Ok, I dont know whats wrong here. Im redesigning a site and Im trying to embed a youtube video. It works fine in ff and in chrome but nothing appears on my page at all in IE. Ive looked on every forum i could for the answer but no one seems to really have one that I already havent done. Ive checked everything i need to in tools/internet options, as well as in control panel. I tried uploading another video and i get the same problem. ALSO, I tried making the video real big on my page just for kicks...in ff, it showed up and my whole page was out of whack. I checked in IE and everything was how it should be but without the video. So apparently IE isnt picking it up at all. Code is below and video is in RED. Forgive the amount of text. I never seem to paste enough of it in. Please take a look.
Note: using asp for this site so thatswhy you wont find <html> or <body> tags. Code is also a little messy but my job is to just re-design whats already there.

YouTube videos not showing up on Internet Explorer
Of course they show up on all other browsers on both platforms, no problem. But they don't show up at all on Internet Explorer on Windows which a lot of people still use. It's just a blank where the YouTube video should be.
Any ideas?

Resize embedded YouTube video dimensions using Replacenocase and cftoken
Hi
I would like to resize all youtube videos on a client website to 300 x 200.
He uploads embed code into a database and displays on his site.
I need to find all of the widths and heights and replace them with my dimensions so that the video can fit into the designated placeholder.
I am guessing that i need to use replacenocase and gettoken, please can someone assist me with this.

DelonForget list functions (which getToken actually is) - they are not fun to play with when trying to find and replace stuff.
You want regular expressions.
Go to http://www.gskinner.com/RegExr/ - and select the "replace" tab.
Paste a youtube embed code as the content, like:

and hit enter to update the second text field (replaced result)
Look at the "samples" in that flex application. They'll help you with regular expressions.
Try something like width="(\d{1,4})" height="(\d{1,4})" as the matching expression
and just replace it with width="320" height="200"
Go look ColdFusion manual for ReReplaceNoCase().
Now, that's still a very basic example, and doesn't work with extraneous spaces between "=" characters, linefeeds and stuff like that. But it'll get you started.

I enherated this iMac I recently updated the software now videos wont show on youtube or on hulu I hear the audio but no video.
You probably need to update Flash Player.

You should first uninstall any previous version of Flash Player, using the uninstaller from here (make sure you use the correct one!):

and also that you follow the instructions closely, such as closing ALL applications first before installing. You must also carry out a permission repair after installing anything from Adobe. -
Why do my videos still show in my movie icon once they are expired
Once I've watched a rental movie on my ipad and it's expired it still shows in my video icon. I can't delete the. How can I get them out of my videos list?
You are only seeing the History only. It does not take any space on iPad.
Settings>iTune and App Store>SHOW ALL>Videos>Off
