Tengo instalado lightromm 4.2 en version de prueba, pero al quererlo comprar solo aparecia lightromm 5.
lo compre para usar esta licencia en lightromm 4.2 pero no me funciona
que debo de hacer ya que mi sistema operativo es Windows Vista y lightromm 5 no funciona

No veo una solución fácil.
Puedes Intentar hablar con Soporte Técnico de Adobe, aunque dudo puedan ayudarte.
Mi consejo seria que cambiases el sistema operativo a Windows 7 u 8*.
(Windows Vista ya es bastante antiguo, tenía bastantes problemas, era lento, en fin todo un fiasco.
En el futuro te puedes encontrar el mismo problema con otros programas,
Vista dejará de ser soportado pronto, y ya ves que hay aplicaciones incompatibles)
* Microsoft lanzará esta semana Windows 8.1 con un interfaz más familiar a usuarios de Win7.
La duda al comprar Windows 7 u 8 es escoger entre las versiones de 32 0 de 64bits.
Si tu ordenador utiliza un procesador compatible escoge la de 64bits.

Unfortunately, this is very, very common on ebay. There are very few legitimate versions of PSE there, especially legitimate versions that haven't been used to qualify for upgrades, which makes them unsaleable. Your best bet is to dispute the charge with paypal, if the seller won't refund your money.

Lightroom encountered an error when reading from its preview cache and needs to quit. Says Lightromm will attempt to fix the problem the next time it launches, but on every re-launch I get the same message. Any clue as to how to fix this problem?

I recently updated my HP laptop's OS from WIndows8 to WIndows8.1. When I went attempted to open Lightroom5 I got the following message:
"Lightroom encountered an error when reading from its preview cache and needs to quit. "
"Lightroom will attempt to fix the problem the next time it launches"
Every time I relaunch I get the same message. I'd like to understand what might be causing the problem so I can remedy and get back to my photo editing. Any clue as to how to fix this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Upgrading lightroom 5 to lightromm cc

I have been trying to upgrade lightroom 5 to lightroom cc. I am a creative cloud member and my operating system meets the rquirements. Despite folowong all of the on screen instructions lighroom cc still does not appear in creative cloud app

I am an Adobe CC subscriber to LR and PS, running on Mac Yosemite.
I Noted in the Adobe updates that I had an update available for PS to PS CC 2014, which updated successfully .
There was no update for LR 5 to LR CC. It did have a LR 6 CC " Try It" option which I selected.
it installed LR 6 CC And it imported my LR 5 library.
I Still have LR 5 installed.
WIll the LR 6 CC I have loaded "time out" or will it recognise I am a CC subscriber?
SHould I uninstall LR 5 ?

Canon 70D requires Lightroom 5.2 or later. The raw files from this camera cannot be imported by Lightroom 4.4. You can however download the free Adobe DNG Converter version 8.6 and convert these RAWs to DNG which can be read by Lightroom 4.4.

Lightromm 2.4 + Photoshop CS3 + NAS file save problems

I'm not sure if this has been asked before (I couldn't find it when I looked...) but I have the following problem.
I have a folder of JPG files on a NAS drive ( I'm using a Mac OSX 10.5.7 )
When I have Lightroom open I can't then edit and save the images. I have tried opening them from within Lightroom and get a file may be in use error when I try and save it. I have tried opening them via finder with CS3 and get the same error when I try and save them. If I then close lightroom it all works fine.
If I open a raw file from within Lightroom (also on the NAS) and save it Lightroom creates a PSD file (as i have asked it to do) and saves it without a problem. If I then go back to re-edit the PSD file and save it I get the same file may be in use error and can't save my changes. Again, if I close Lightroom I can then edit and save the file without a problem.
For some reason it looks as though lightroom locks all the files in the catalog that are stored on the NAS even when they are not being edited......
Any help gratefully received !!

It'll be no surprise to you to learn that LR isn't designed to work on networks. AFAIK, the workaround is as you've found: Quit LR, and the .lock is removed. I suppose you could delete the .lock file and keep LR open, but I can't recommend that.

How to share lightromm between 2 different windows profiles

Hello everybody,
My wife and I have each an user profile on the same computer.
I manage our photo library with Lightroom. I gave her access to the programm and noticed I had to reconfigure everything for her profile. We share the same DB.
How can I make sure that my version controls the backup etc options and that she or my children can not mess up all my work from their profiles?

Hi, Your subject says Windows, so I have only included that portion here, nothing for MAC. Lightroom (LR) allows a user to select a database (DB) to use, or double clicking on a DB will open it up in LR. That would handle that part, as you probably knew. - Libraries/Keywords Sets/Backup folders: These can be found by default under "C:\Documents and Settings\<PROFILE NAME>\My Documents\My Pictures\Lightroom" Note that KEYWORDS themselves are stored within the library DB. - Presets/Templates/Preferences folder: Found by default under "C:\Documents and Settings\<PROFILE NAME>\Application Data\Adobe\Lightroom" Just copy the files over. If you synch (free tool Syncback Freeware is what I tend to use) then it becomes easy. Set up the source and destination. When you add / change Keyword sets / Presets / prefs, simply sync the two folders and then your other profile(s) should be good to go. Hope this helps. Kai

Why does not ctrl E Lightroom upon transfer to Photoshop as soon as it becomes a new version of any of the programs. Very annoying.

Lightroom 4 ne fonctionne pas avec Windows XP. Cette décision ne vient pas à la légère et se fonde sur un certain nombre de facteurs. Avec chaque version de Lightroom, notre objectif est toujours de fournir une excellente et constante expérience client. Développer et tester entre les versions et plates-formes de système d'exploitation pour s'assurer que nous atteignons cet objectif est un effort important qui prend du temps et des ressources. XP est sensiblement différent de Windows Vista et Windows 7, et nécessite une matrice de tests indépendants, ce qui augmente la complexité de nos efforts de développement. Chaque cycle, nous devons prendre des décisions de compromis de ressources difficiles et le soutien du système d'exploitation rivalise fortement avec de nouvelles fonctionnalités et améliorations de performances prévues pour chaque version. La décision de ce cycle était de mettre fin au soutien XP pour Lightroom aller de l'avant.
Comme suggéré par kglad veuillez passer par l'exigence système pour exécuter Lightroom 4. Je vous suggère de bien vouloir mettre à jour votre système d'exploitation Windows 7, ou 8.

Wie hier zu erkennen ist Lightromm CC (2015) installiert. Leider fehlt aber im PC jegliche Spur davon. Es lässt sich nicht im EXPLORER finden und starten! Kann ich hier Hilfe bekommen??

Danke Bernd. Soweit wäre ich auch von allein drauf gekommen! Nein, die Applikation lässt sich nicht öffnen und wenn ich im Explorer suche finde es auch nicht!
Kurz gesagt: es ist installiert von der Adobe CC Manager aber nichts zu finden und dadurch auch nicht zu öffnen.
Beim Support bin ich über 45 Minuten in der "Warteschlange" und komme nicht dran und ich weiss nicht mehr was ich machen soll!
Ich probiere jetzt mit Abmelden von der CC und eneut anzumelden und alle APP erneut frisch zu installieren, in der Hoffnung erfolg zu haben.

Lightromm importiert zuert als .nef bevor in .dng umgewandelt wird, dadurch werden Dupplikate nicht erkannt; Schlechte Performanc.

Lightroom CC ist markannt langsamer als LR 5.7!
Beim Importieren werden die Dateien zuerst als Original .nef importiert obwohl .dng ausgewählt ist. So werden auch Duplikate nicht erkannt. Danach wird in.dng umgewandelt. Das dauert gegenüber der Version 5.7 3x länger!!
Export von 450 Dateien dauert 3 Std. 45 Min. Das ist doch nicht normal!!
Was läuft hier falsch?

Also bei mir ist das ganz genauso. LR-CC importiert zuerst die NEFs und konvertiet anschliessend in DNG. Da ich beim Import gleich 1:1 Vorschauen rendern lasse, werden nach dem Import 2 Processe gestartet (DNG-Konvertierung und 1:1 Vorschau rendern). Alleine die DNG konvertierung benotigt ca. 4-5x länger als in LR5.
Tja echt ein Rückschritt. Wenn ich nicht auf LR-CC angewiesen wäre (neue Nikon D7200) würde ich glatt wieder die 5.7 verwenden.
Evtl. werde ich die NEFs zuerst mit dem DNG-Converter konvertieren und anschliessend erst in LR-CC importieren.
Auch der Export und das Veröffentlichen dauert wesentlich länger und der Rechner (I7-3770, 32GB-RAM, GTX-770, LR-Katalog auf SSD 1TB) ist während des Import/Export stark ausgelastet und teilweise nicht mehr bedienbar. Unter LR-5 lief alles deutlich flüssiger.
Also Adobe, behebt das mal bitte schnell.

Acrobat X Pro no funciona

Por medio del presente me contacto con ustedes ya que he venido presentando unos problemas con el ACROBAT X pro contenido entro de la Suit standar del CS6, este aplicativo solo funciona aproximadamente por 1 mes y toca reinstalar la suit para que funcione, este programa no abre ni permite abrir archivos con el acrobar reader este se bloquea y no solo toca desinstalar el acrobat pro si no toda la Suit. aunque el resto de aplicativos funcionen bien.
Las pruebas que se han relizado son:
Desactivar actualizaciones automaticas
Reinstalar
Formatear y montar equipo nuevamente

Ante todo aclararte que esto es un Foro de usuarios de programas de Adobe, no se trata de las páginas de soporte de Adobe.
Te agradeceremos confirmes si la solución propuesta resuelve el problema y marques la respuesta si es el caso, como tema resuelto, para que otros usuarios puedan aprovecharlo.

Instrucciones de Adobe para resolver un tema que suele aparecer a los 30 días de instalar Acrobat X.
Comprobar que estás conectado a internet.
Abre cualquier otro producto de la CS6 (Photoshop, Illustrator, …, no Acrobat ni Flash Builder)
Click en Ayuda -> Deactivar.
Deactiva el programa. Cierra el programa.
Abre de nuevo un programa (Photoshop, Illustrator, …, )
Acepta el Eula (Licencia).
Registrar a modo de prueba al activar sesión (sign in). Deja que se abra el programa.
Cierralo de nuevo y vuelve a abrirlo. Espera a que aparezca el interfaz.
Click en el botón de Licenciar este Software.
Click en Sign in (activar).
Aparece entonces la pantalla de número de Serie
Introduce el número de serie y pulsa en Siguiente.
Cierra el programa y comprueba que al abrirlo de nuevo mientras sigues conectado a Internet, se abre sin ninguna ventana de licencias.
Prueba ahora a abrir Acrobat X

Soy trabajador de la Universidad Politécnica de Valencia y disponemos de licencia de adobe Acrobat profesional XI, hemos querido realizar un formulario para realizar una encuesta online y habíamos pensado realizarla con Acrobat, al iniciar el formulario se abre la aplicaron Adobe FormsCentral, vemos que no dispone de todas sus opciones desbloqueadas y al pinchar en actualizar, vemos que para su versión full, indica que compremos una licencia de adobe acrobat XI y se desbloquearan todas las opciones de este editor de formularios y podremos utilizar todas las funciones de distribución, recibir respuestas ilimitadas...
Mi pregunta es, si ya tengo la licencia de Acrobat XI, ¿Por qué no se activan todas las funciones de Adobe FormsCentral?

First make sure that you had signed in to Creative Cloud application using Email ID using which you had purchased subscription.
If not Sign out and sign in using valid email ID.
Second: If you had signed in using valid email ID , check with the Hosts file for Adobe ports block entries which might be blocking access to Adobe activation server.
1) Right click on the Finder icon on dock and select "Go-To Folder" option.
2) You will get a text box, type-in below mentioned command and then hit 'Return' key.
/etc
3) It will open the etc folder, please look for file named "hosts" and copy the same to Desktop screen.
4)Double click on it and it will open Hosts in textedit.
5)If present remove Adobe block entries and copy and paste Hosts file back to Etc folder.
6)Make sure to select "Replace" option when prompted.
Then try launching CC apps which was asking serial number.
