Function Buttons Problem on my ZiiO

My function buttons(search, home, list, back) on my Ziio 7" are not working lately. I even tried resetting my factory settings and nothing happened. The problem's there to stay. Can anyone help me? And if possible, I need to know other ways on how to solve my problem.

Well, yes, the function buttons are not working. Tried doing long presses too. Turns out my function buttons have moved to the screen, above the function buttons. Just wanting to figure this out. By the way, I got my Ziio on June 8.

Function Button Problems

Last night I downloaded the latest OSX update onto my iBook. Previously, the function buttons 1 through 5 worked and I could change my volume and brightness at a whim, but now I noticed that they simply do not work, even the number lock doesn't, which I find odd. I have gone through the System Preferences several times and cannot find a way to fix it. Is it the update or is something wrong?

Hi Ladreo and welcome to Apple Discussions.
Go to System Preferences>Keyboard & Mouse and select the Keyboard tab. Ensure that the box isn't checked against "Use the F1-F12 Keys to control software features". I just enabled this on my iBook and id does affect num lock as well.

i have HP G62 a20SE notebook, with win 7 64 bit installed
i had to format my notebook
after installing the drivers, i noted that the function button (fn) is not completely working
for example to rename a file or folder i usu. press fn+f2 but now it's not working? i don;t know why?
besudes, when i press the function button it usually gives me a bar on the top of the screen with all the functions
now it is not
how can i have it back?
please help...

Can you still access the Recovery Manager with the F11 key?
Option 1: You can install the original drivers from the recover manager.
Option 2: Do you have an HP Recovery disc set?
Disc #2 has all of the original drivers.

Naming Buttons - Problem with using Captivate 7 Buttons to Open URL or File

After spending too much time troubleshooting a button problem, I discovered the importance of naming each item in a Captivate project.
For some reason I have yet to figure out, publishing to SWF from Captivate causes buttons to function arbitrarily. In my case, I had eight buttons pointing to external URLs, three that worked and five that didn't. All of the buttons pointed to the same external website, only to different PDFs hosted on that site. Each button was named with the default "Button_X" convention as set by Captivate. After trying lots of different settings adjustments, On Enter and On Exit actions, and Play/Pause timings, I did what I should've done from the beginning; changed the names of the buttons.
Why this worked? I don't know. I've seen hints on other discussions as to SWFs not working well when there are a lot of unnamed or default-named items. If there's some logic to this I would be happy to know it, but for a default setting to cause such a bizarre problem is beyond my comprehension. I could understand if I had named the buttons incorrectly, but I didn't do anything to them; I left them with the names created by default.
Hopefully this helps someone else resolve a similar issue and, if anything, encourages everyone to follow best practices and use a clear file naming conventions for all projects.

Function Buttons dont work on my Satellite P300-1FN

Hi,
I am having problems with the Function Buttons on my Satellite P300-1FN Laptop.
I recently installed Vista SP2 and flashed the BIOS and now the buttons have stopped working and LEDs lighting them wont turn off when the Mute or LED On/Off button is pressed. I have installed the newest Value Added Package but that has not helped. I have had this problem before without SP2 or the new BIOS installed and found that going in the BIOS and resetting it to default would work but it hasn't this time.

If I am remembering well in Toshiba HWSetup tool must be one tab for this button.
Check please what options is defined there.
Try to change it.
Please post the results.

HT1688 iPhone 4 home button problem

I have an iPhone 4 and it still in good condition but sometimes, the Home button doesn't respond quickly or doesn't respond at all. What to do?

I seem to have fixed my iPhone 4 home button problems.
1. Sync phone and back up.
2. Go back and resync phone but uncheck all the apps you have purchased/downloaded so that your iphone will have no additional apps on it.
3. Now reset your phone as a NEW PHONE.
4. When reset as NEW, unplug it and try home button functions. I'll bet they work just fine, like mine did.
5. Now that you are satisfied you can resync your apps, but be choosey. Re-install only a couple at a time, and test your home button each time. You'll soon find out which of your apps is causing the problem. It's time consuming and irritating, but it certainly works.
So far - no problems with my selected re-installed apps. My home button works fine.
However, I recently purchased several photography apps and an emoticon app and that was when the problems appeared to have started.
So I've been very selective in putting only the apps I want back on ... for now.

I will report back to tell you if this complicated but effective solution has worked for me.

This is in BI WAD template I assume? If you are looking for rearraging multiple buttons you have created using Button Group Item, you can do that in the properties of the button group item (arrows to move button up and down). The buttons in one button group item always appear close by to each other so if you are looking at more space or arranging them on the page, use multiple button group items and arrange them using container layout item(s).

Callmanager End User Dialog Box will not display Function Buttons

When I go to USER MANAGER - END USER all of my function buttons are missing. There is no:
ADD NEW
SELECT ALL
CLEAR ALL
DELETE SELECTED
Also, I cannot edit the existing users even though I am logged in as Administrator. Please see the attached screenshot with the missing buttons. Is this a misconfiguration or could the software be corrupted?

I just have a VoIP lab, therefore I don' t have an LDAP server. I did create a modifed end user group, however I deleted all of the users from that group. Is there any way to restore the creating/editing of users without reinstalling the CUCM image?

The Function Buttons are Greyed Out in Numbers

I am new to Numbers having used Excel for years. I am trying to add up a column of figures but when I highlight the column and click the 'Function' button at the top of the page, all the functions are greyed out so not usable. Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong?
I am using Numbers 3.1, downloaded on Saturday.

select multiple columns, then drag the quick sum tag or use the formula:
=sum(<RANGE1>, <RANGE2>, <RANGE3>, ...)
where <RANGE1> thru <RANGEn> are any valid ranges
e.g.
=sum(A:C) will sum columns which would be the same thing as:
=sum(A, B, C)
you can also sum rows 1, 4, and 7 like this:
=sum(1:1, 4:4, 7:7)

PDF Documents with Functional Buttons - Works for IE and FireFox but not for Chrome and Safari

Good morning. Our institution developed a PDF document with functional buttons for printing and e-mailing. When the document is viewed via Internet Explorer and Firefox, the functional buttons work as expected. However if the document is viewed via Chrome and Safari, the functional buttons do not work. The workaround for those who are using Chrome and Safari, the PDF document needs to be saved to their local drive before the functional buttons work.
Has anyone experienced this issue before? If yes, what was your solution other than the workaround.

Did you check if there are no objects on that index slide that have a fading transition? You should set the transition for every object to 'No transition'. The transition can be found in the Properties dialog, tab Options.

* Make sure that the "Navigation Toolbar" and the "Bookmarks Toolbar" are visible: "View > Toolbars"
* If items are missing then open the Customize window via "View > Toolbars > Customize" or via "Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout"
* If a missing item is in the toolbar palette then drag it back from the Customize window on the toolbar
* If you do not see that item then click the "Restore Default Set" button to restore the default toolbar set up

VA05 Partner Function Selection Problem

Hi Guys,
In VA05 report when we click on Partner Function button then click on drop down it is showing only Sold to Party . User want to see all the partner functions in the drop down. I am not sure where the selection of partner function is controlled.
Please let me know if you guys have any idea.

Hi Rohit,
VA05 is Sales Order report to enable end-user to view all order based on given requirement. This means that you can only find the data based on Partner Function's criteria of Sold-to or Ship-to.
The other partner functions will not get you the desired result here. You need to look for other report.

I want to remap my macbook function buttons without pressing fn

I have a new MBP
I have unchecked the box that lets me use function keys for other than their original purposes
So now I can use e.g. my last volume button to work instead as a Mission Control / Show desktop function that is really useful for me as I have one funcitonal hand.
However I'd like to remap or reassign the function buttons. For example my F1 F2 now do nothing - I could assign them to certain other functions, but I'd like to assign them back to screen brightness.
Is there a way I can do this?
And is there a way i can consign the dashboard to the bin, and use that button for something thats actually useful ?

You can install this into OS X and access the files on Windows side and transfer them to a external drive.

You can also use Winclone to clone Windows (from OS X) to a external drive.
Once you got a copy of your files off both partitions...
You can insert the OS X disk of the OS your using into the computer and reboot holding c
On the second screen you have the option to reinstall OS X (and bundled apps) overwritting what you already have. Your files, account's and third party programs should remain though.
Use the uninstaller of the program to remove it.
If you want to erase everything in your OS X partition you can use Disk utility from the installer disk, it's under the Utilities menu in the Installer.
If you accidentially select your hard drive you can erase both partitions.
