Function Creation Failed

Question

I'm not so ecpert in Oracle, i need to convert my database from SQL Server to Oracle with SQL Developer, but when i execute code generation i got trouble with some function taht says similar errors,.
the generated code is :
CREATE OR REPLACE FUNCTION DBO_TEST.GETROOT(v_PATH IN VARCHAR2)
RETURN NUMBER
AS
BEGIN
   RETURN CAST(SUBSTR(v_PATH || '/', 2, INSTR(v_PATH || '/', '/', 2) - 2) AS NUMBER(10,0));
END;
/and the errors is come :
FUNCTION DBO_TEST.GETROOT
On line:  5
PLS-00103: Encountered the symbol "(" when expecting one of the following:
The symbol ")" was substituted for "(" to continue.Great Apreciate if somebody can help me out here,..

Hi,
you cannot specify the precision as SQL server.
You only cast as NUMBER and not NUMBER(10,0).
If you need any rounding off you can use ROUND function available in Oracle.
CREATE OR REPLACE FUNCTION dbo_test.GETROOT(v_PATH IN VARCHAR2)
RETURN NUMBER
AS
BEGIN
   RETURN CAST(SUBSTR(v_PATH || '/', 2, INSTR(v_PATH || '/', '/', 2) - 2) AS NUMBER);
