Hi,
How can I find out table maintenance function group for standard SAP tables. If it does not exist then in which package should I create it.

Function Group are not assigned to tables... Function Group are assigned to Maintenance Views .. since no standard maintenance view exist for this table...
So no function group is associated...
You can create table maintenance for this table and assign any Z- Function Group u like..

How to transport Authorize Function Group for a table

Hi, Expert,
I created a customize table ZF304 with Authorization Group ZFIG in development environment.   Somehow, the ZFIG did not transprot to QA. The Authorization Group for table ZF034 in QA show: &NC&
I need retransport the ZF304 table with ZFIG to QA.   When I use the SE54 > Utilities > Total Transport, the ZFIG did not show in the object list.
Is it necessay that the ZFIG need specific in the transport? or it is already include int eh ZF304 transport?
In other word, how to make the QA Authorization Group show 'ZFIG' in stead of '&NC&'. How to do the transport in RD0 to make this happen.

Check if you have an entry in the transport request as depicted below:
Definition of a Maintenance and Transport Object     R3TR     TOBJ     ZF304       Object Locked
If not then please add it in your task.

Hi,
If you are not sure into which Function group your FM should go in then its advised to create a Function group of your own. Its not advised to create a function module in any other function group unless its owned by you since your FM can get deleted by others or it can get changed.
Create your own Function group. But if you want to create in an existing FG then best way is to find out the Function Group by searching for suitable existing Function module then see their function group

Selection groups for tables and header tables

A couple of questions or rather observations around Selection Groups for tables and conversion objectu2026
1) For tables that do not really have a date field, for instance table PDSNR, it appears that you cannot specify a selection group. Consequently, you have to transfer the table in its entirety. Is this something that can be modified via customizing?
2) And what about the header tables, for example, X_ANLC, I have tried but not able to change the selection groups on these objects.

Since you mention you can only filter by date I am assuming you are using TDTIM.
How would you want to filter PDSNR, for example? Would it want to filter all entries >= a given sequence number?
The only way I know to do that is to work directly with the configuration tables. In your case you will need to use CNVMBTSEL* tables. Check how the standard selection groups are configured, and it should not be too difficult to follow the same logic and create your own selection groups.
CNVMBTSELGRP                   MBT PCL Selection groups              (main table to create the selection group)
CNVMBTSELMEMTYPE               MBT PCL Selection group member types (main table to define members => fields for the selection group)
CNVMBTSELGRPDEF                MBT PCL Selection group definition    (definition of the fields in that selection group)
CNVMBTSELGRPVAL                MBT PCL Selection group values        (values for each field; you can use GE for >=)
CNVMBTSELCLAUSE                MBT PCL Selection group clause        (should also be straightforward if you are using only one field)
CNVMBTSELVAR                   MBT PCL Selection group variants     (configure the same variant for your selection group as for the others)
CNVMBTSELREF                   MBT PCL Selection group reference     (assignment of selection group to conversion object)

Function module for table control

Hi experts,
I am creating the BDC program, In that I need to select the particular item from the table control say for example item 0010 or 0020 based on the input file and need to process from there.
Is there any function module to select the particular item by passing item no say 0010 or 0020.

I suppose there is no function module for table control.
below solution might be useful to you.
1) Do BDC recording for the table control with each condition you would like to incorporate in your program.
2) copy the code of Table Control recording in your program and place the code in Loop of internal table.
3) based on the condition call the respective BDC recording of the table control
4) By the above steps you can manage the table control based on the condition.

Re-assigning function group to tables.

I created tables, but assigned them to the wrong function group. I try to navigate through se11 to edit the function groups, but I'm having difficulty.
Is there a different way with which I can do this?

I'm a little confused. Are you talking about that you assigned to the wrong function group during table maintenance generator. If so, just delete it and re-create it in the other function group.

You have to re-generate the table maintenance, when new fields are added, system doesn't automatically insert them in it.
So go to MAINTENANCE TABLE GENERATOR for your table and press icon for updating.
Here choose NEW FIELD options and press ENTER.
Anyway I prefer to set somes parameters of EXPERT MODE as REFRESH OVERVIEW SCREEN
goto ur table> utilities> table maintenance generator> change>press enter> reason give additional fields>expert mode--> enter...

Functional group for uccheck

i got a program that is using the functional module 'EXTENDED_PROGRAM_CHECK' and by this collects the results of the SLIN-transaction and writes it into a table.
right now i do want to receive the same but for a run of the UCCHECK-transaction, but i can simply not find out the name of the functional module for UCCHECK - is there any help for me ?

AC 5.3 - Web Services as part of Function Groups for inclusion in RAR

I need to be able to add webservices into my function groups to create risks for AC 5.3 SP9.
Is there any guide available on how to create rulesets that contain webservices and how to load the equivalent of the USOBT/SU24 and TSTC information for web services?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Can you please provide clarification on type of web services you are referring to? Are those hosted on SAP system or Non SAP system? How user access is restricted to web service?
I believe you will have to load the web service authorization data as if it is for a Non-RTA system (using RAR data Extraction functionality). As RAR SOD rule logic is based on Risk -- Function --Action --- Permission concept, you will have to represent webservices as dummy actions, add dummy permission if there are any further authorization restrictions on web services. Define and load dummy text and permissions ( to replicate USOBT/SU24 and TSTC information)
Define functions and risks based on dummy actions/permissions, generate rules. Refer latest AC configuration guide for Non-RTA system's data mapping templates which you will need to upload the authorization data

Can we move SAP R/3 standard Function Groups, SAP Tables to BW

Dear Forum,
We are in a pilot process of migrating SAP R/3 Custom development objects to our BW client and we have a few questions that we would like to know if possible.
We are currently in the To Be Blueprint Phase of migrating SAP 45B to ERP2005 as a Ramp-Up customer and we need to determine as soon as possible the feasibility of moving one particular Custom application from our SAP R/3 environment to BW.
This application primarily performs computational processing and does reporting of the results at the
conclusion
We have selected one Custom R/3 ABAP program to do a pilot to determine the feasibility of migrating it to the BW platform. This Custom program utilizes objects from standard SAP Function Groups which are non existent in BW. In this particular case SAP Function groups KMS0 (Cost Center Selection) and KAB2 (CO Reporting: General).
Questions:
Are we allowed to move these 2 standard SAP Function Groups to BW ?
Would it alter the BW environment integrity as intended and designed by SAP?
If we move the Function Group KMS0 and KAB2 will SAP support our BW environment if we decide to move them?
Would it be considered a SAP Best Practice to move standard SAP R/3
objects to BW?

First many thanks for such a quick response and as you mentioned it would be almost necessary to port over a few objects from SAP to make it work.
Would be safe to assume that we should not try to import standard SAP objects to a BW installation in order to make provide the same functionality as R/3 System ?

How to change Function Group for a function already exists - Urgent

One field exit is there, with some local function group name. Now i need to transport that field exit into quality. so i saved field exit into one package and i created one more func grp with new naming convention. now my problem is field exit is not allowing to change the func grp name there. it is in non-editable mode. what should i do, to change that. Can anyone help me...Urgent.

As I understand, you want to change a SAP function module into a Z function group, that's not allowed.
Even if you have to change any function from one function group to another, you have to copy it (taking care of global code in the TOP include for the function group), delete it from the original group and create it into the new.
Function groups are a kind of container programs and each Function module is a component of them, not the other way.

Testing function groups for unicode compliance

i just checked alot of programs for their unicode compliance, using UCCHECK. No problem here.
Now my task is to check if all the functional groups would work properly in an unicode-system, but how do i do that ? UCCHECK just works for reports or at least it doesnt take the functional groups...

Recently tested the Function Groups and corrected them .
Now After you do the UCCHECK ,OR if you have list of the function groups,
Go to
SE37 GoTo->FunctionGroups-> Display Group
Give the Corresponding FG
Check the Uncode checks Active Flag
Now Click Main Program and make it active.
Once you Activate you can see the syntax errors if any in the Function modules in that Function Group.

I found the module "rfc_get_table_entries", can s.o. tell me some other standard function modules to work with database information?
rfc_get_table_entries returns a concatenated Database line, it would be better for me to get a table with the correct structure.

how about RFC_READ_TABLE? you'll receive the structure in FIELDS and the content in DATA.
if you know the fields you want to receive, you can add them in the FIELDS table as input parameter.
