Function Module using Quantity conversion type

Hi,
I need to know the function module which uses the quantity conversion type created in RSUOM and should provide the converted value as the result.
I know the function module which convert the units based on the input. But need to know the FM which uses conversion type.
I tried conversion type available in the transformation rules. But it is not working for a particular case. So thought of doing the same inside a routine.

  • Where Used for a Quantity Conversion Type ?

    We had a problem with a quantity conversion type, and it's caused corruption on every query that used it. So I have to go in and fix 'em all. Except.... I'm not sure which queries used it !
    Metadata ? Nope. Quantity Conversion Types aren't there.
    Where used from RSUOM ? Nope. All it pulls is the conversion type itself and the associated infoobject.
    RSZELTXREF ? Nope. not in there.
    RSUOMTRT ? Well, yeah, the GUID for the conversion type is there. But.. it does not show up as an ELTUID anywhere else.
    I'm stumped ! Anyone have an idea ?

    I just manually went into every query that I had assigned as having an Alt UOM conversion and fixed it that way.

    As of SAP NetWeaver 2004s you can create quantity conversion types using transaction RSUOM.
    The business transaction rules of the conversion are established in the quantity conversion type. The conversion type is a combination of different parameters (conversion factors, source and target units of measure) that determine how the
    conversion is performed.
    In terms of functionality, quantity conversion is structured similarly to currency translation.
    Quantity conversion allows you to convert key figures with units that have different units of measure in the source system into a uniform unit of measure in the BI system when you update them into InfoCubes

    It is entered in ODS table linked to info object (0material)
    What you need to do basically is-
    1 ) Goto your infoobject for eg- 0material
    2 ) In Info object Maintenance- Tab page- Bex Explorer
    3 ) Enter 0BASE_UOM in Base unit of measure
    4 ) Generate UOM ODS (System generates it with prefix UOM)
    It is made of 4 fields (1 more in case of compounding) with SID for them. This is the place where you enter numerator and
    denominator to calculate conversion factor
    5 ) Load the UOM ODS with conversion from 0MAT_UNIT_ATTR or flat file
    6 ) Define conversion type
    7 ) In the conversion type, then you can select 0Material in the dynamic determination of conversion factor
    8 ) Select source unit and target unit

    Hi Thiru,
    Standard Transaction Codes, have their own Function Modules for generating Outbound/Indbound Idocs. Where these Function Modules will be configured to a particular Process Codes.
    For E.g for PO's
    Process code : ME10 - IDOC_OUTPUT_ORDERS - for creation
    In case if its a Z Function Module, It depends on the case how you use IDOC types. either directly through Z Program or through Inbound/Outbound Process  codes with respective Function modules.

    You can find out the Functionmodule if you know the message type.
    Go to WE20, find the message type for hte relevant partner type by clicking the partner type and then clicking one partner int hat partner type.
    Now on the right hand side, you will get a screen. Based on whether it is your outbound IDOC or ibound, click the relevant parameters, select the message type and double click.
    In the new screen open the Message control tab and fidn out the process code of the IDOC.
    Now go to WE41 if ur IDOC is outbound or WE42 for inbound IDOC.
    Search for the process code which is assigned to the message type in WE20.
    Double click the process code, you will see the relevant function module in the 3rd field.

    The important function modules are
    Reuse_alv_fieldcatalog_merge
    Reuse_alv_list_display
    Reuse_alv_events_get
    Reuse_alv_grid_display
    Reuse_alv_commentary_write.
    <b>REUSE_ALV_FIELDCATALOG_MERGE</b>
          This function module is used to populate a field catalog which is essential to display the data in ALV.
          If the output data is from a single dictionary table and all the columns are selected, then we need not exclusively create the field catalog. Its enough to mention the table name as a parameter (I_structure_name) in the REUSE_ALV_LIST_DISPLAY. But in other cases we need to create it.
    Note : Fieldcatalog can be filled manually also by filling up all the required details into the internal table     
    The important parameters are:
       1. Export:
            a. I_program_name     : report id
            b. I_internal_tabname     : the internal output table     
            c. I_inclname     : include or the report name where all  
                                                 the dynamic forms are handled.
        2. Changing
           ct_fieldcat     :    an internal table with the type 
                                      SLIS_T_FIELDCAT_ALV which is declared in the
                                      type pool SLIS.
    <b>REUSE_ALV_LIST_DISPLAY</b>
    This is the function module which prints the data.
    The important parameters are:
    1. Export:
          I_callback_program            : report id
          I_bypassing_buffer             : ‘X’
          I_buffer_active                    : ‘ ‘
          I_callback_pf_status_set     : routine where a user can set
                                                             his own pf status or change the
                                                             functionality of the existing pf status.
          I_callback_user_command : routine where the function codes are
                                                               handled.
          I_structure name     : name of the dictionary table
          Is_Layout          : structure to set the layout of the report
          It_fieldcat          : internal table with the list of all fields and their
                                                 attributes which are to be printed (this table
                                                 can be populated automatically by the function
                                                 REUSE_ALV_FIELDCATALOG_MERGE
          It_events          : internal table with a list of all possible events
                                                 of ALV and their corresponding form names.
    2.  Tables:
         a. t_outtab     : internal table with the data to be output
    <b>REUSE_ALV_EVENTS_GET: </b>
          Returns table of possible events for a a list type
    1. Import:
          Et_Events      :
          The event table is returned with all possible CALLBACK events for the specified list type (column ‘NAME’). For events to be processed by the Callback, their ‘FORM’ field must be filled. If the field is initialized, the event is ignored. The entry can be read from the event table, the field ‘FORM’ filled and the entry modified using constants from the type pool SLIS.
    2. Export:
        I_list_type:
              0 = simple list REUSE_ALV_LIST_DISPLAY
              1 = hierarchical-sequential list                                           
                    REUSE_ALV_HIERSEQ_LIST_DISPLAY
              2 = simple block list                                                        REUSE_ALV_BLOCK_LIST_APPEND
              3 = hierarchical-sequential block list
                    REUSE_ALV_BLOCK_LIST_HS_APPEND
    <b>REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY</b>
      A new function from 4.6 version, to display the results in grid rather than a
      preview.
      Parameters : same as reuse_alv_list_display
    <b>REUSE_ALV_COMMENTARY_WRITE</b>
    This is used in the Top-of-page event  to print the headings and other
    comments for the list.
    It_list_commentary : Internal table with the headings of the type
                                             slis_t_listheader.
        This internal table has three fields:
        Typ : ‘H’ - header, ‘S’ - selection, ‘A’ - action
        Key : only when typ is ‘S’.
        Info : the text to be printed

    When inside SE11 for MONI, lets say, press the where-used list button and select the option for FUNCTION MODULE INTERFACES to see a list of FMs that take a structure of type MONI as input/output parameter. Although this will not give an exhaustive list of FMs, it will assist you to a good extent.
    Additionally, you can try FM APPLICATION_DATA_GET.
    For STXL, take a look at FM READ_TEXT and associated include file LSTXDUXX for more functions in this function group SAPLSTXD.

  • Error in Quantity Conversion type.

    Hi all,
    I have created  quantity conversion types in transaction RSUOM."ZCRFNSC"
    In the Conversion Factor Tab,Dynamic Determination of Conversion factor i chosen as Using Refrence Info Object------0MATERIAL.
    In the UOM Tab.
    Source Unit TAB-- I have defined as UOM from data Records
    And in the Target UOM  i have set as Fixed Unit --"SC".
    Now when i am executing the report where i have apllied this conversion type it throws error
    "Inconsistent i/p parameter(I_TUOM, value SC)"
    Kindly help me tounderstand & get the solution for this error

    P101 condition type is not picking the MAP value in PO . It sometimes takes 0.00 or some other value other than MAP . Please tell me what could be wrong ?
