Function Security Menu Report in Oracle 11i -- URGENT NEED!

Is there a way that I can run the Function Security Menu report in Oracle 11.5.10 for all responsibilities at the same time? We currently have 175 active responsibilities in the system.
We also have to provide this info to auditors on a quarterly basis, and it would be great if I didn't have to run this report for each active responsibility. Is there any SQL Script avaliable for this?
Any help would be very much appreciated?
Thanks!

Have you checked the code in (Checking Functions Associated with a User Menu or a Responsibility [ID 948512.1])?

  • Function Security Navigator Report

    Hi,
I have to create a comma delimited flat file with the data generated by Function Security Navigator Report without any Title/subtitle. The executable is a rdf file (FNDMNNAV). Neither do I have Oracle Report nor do I know Oracle Report. Does any one have the SQL query to generate this report? Most likely there are more than one SQL queries in the rdf file - if this is so then can you please give the steps of how the data are selected for this repor?
    Thanks,
    JP

    Hi JP,
You could change the output to XML and create a basic BI Publisher template to achieve your requirements.
Check out my blog for a similar example:

    Hello Sasi,
I have never touched an Oracle Application before, but in Report builder, i don't think there is a way to change the background color of the Data Model query to anything other than the standard blue.

  • New user to Oracle 11i who needs help on creation of new fixed asset class

    Hi all,
I am new to my Company who is using Oracle 11i. And the Company has a new class of fixed asset and a GL code has been created. But there is no link between the Fixed Asset Manager and the GL code, i.e. depreciation is not linked, additions are not captured into "Cost register", no asset number was assigned in Oracle. Please help.
    Thanks,
    Simon

    Hi.
No, Simon, it does not work that way.
First, be sure that the distribution line has the flag "Track as Asset" checked.
Second, the GL Account to be used on the distribution line must be the one defined, in the FA Asset Category, as the Asset Clearing Account.
In FA, navigate to /Setup/Asset System/Asset Categories. Following, query a Category. There you can see which account has been used as the Asset Clearing Account.
You can use as many Asset Clearing accounts as you which, but normally, all Categories share the same account.
Now reverse the distribution line and cretae a new one with the correct account. Post it, run the Mass Additions Process and you will see the that the addition was created.
    Hope this helps.

    Hello,
The syntax is correct (except the & after the ?)
You are using a "relative URL" . It means the browser will use the protocol , server and port from the current page in order to build a full URL
    (full URL = <protocol>://<server>:<port>/reports/rwservlet?report=test&destype=cache&desformat=html)

  • How to make a "SSWA JSP Function"  as query Only in Oracle 11i or R12

Please someone help me in making a SSWA JSP Page as read only..
For "forms" we use a parameter QUERY_ONLY="YES",what is the procedure for making a JSP as read only?

All the enterable fields of an OA Framework Page can be made Read Only via personalization. Also you can disable/hide the transaction buttons. This way the page would become query only.

  • Function Security Reports

Is there a way that I can run the Function Security Menu report in Oracle 11i for all responsibilities at the same time? I need to provide this information for an audit of user responsibilities and I need this report for each active responsibility (I have currently have 177 active responsibilities).

Did anyone figure out how to do this? We also have to provide this info to auditors on a quarterly basis, and it would be great if I didn't have to run this report for each active responsibility. I'm at a relatively small company, I can't imagine how sysadmins at large companies are able to adequately comply with SOX requirements given restrictions like this.
    Thanks

  • Mexico Electronic Accounting Oracle 11i

AS part of 2014 Mexican tax reform, Federal Tax Code (FTC) included a requirement for taxpayers to file accounting information with the tax authorities on a monthly basis.
In simple terms, we need to provide Chart of Accounts, Trial Balance and Information related to journal entries every month or on demand. In Oracle R12 there seems a solution but we are still in Oracle 11i and needed to know if Oracle support this requirement. Appreciate if someone can let us know.
    thanks
    Adil

    Hi Adil,
Currently there is no 11i patch for this new functionality.
The following enhancement requests have been raised requesting this change in functionality.

    For R11i - Bug:19306692 - BACKPORT FOR R11 CUSTOMERS FOR - ER 19247085 _NEW MEXICO LEGISLATION REQUEST

  • Function Point Analysis Report

    Hi!
We use Function Point Analysis Report in Oracle Designer 6.0 (it exist even in Designer 1.3.2) and now we´re migrating to Oracle Designer 9i.
I was trying to use "Function Point Analysis Report" in Oracle Designer 9i but it doesn´t exist anymore.
Does anybody knows how to get function point analysis report now?
Or does anybody have any suggestion on how to get this report?

These reports were removed in the move from 6.0 to 6i. You can create your own repository reports if you need them. There is a document on OTN describing how you can do this on the Repository Site, under a section called Sample code: http://otn.oracle.com/sample_code/products/scm/index.html

  • Implementing Function Security in Oracle apps.

I wanted to restrict certain menus in Payables manager for a particular user. How should i implement it? Is there any live example of implementing function security in oracle apps? Please Help.

    Hi,
One approach is to create a custom menu and attach to it all the menus and functions you want and the add this menu to a new responsibility. But this is not the best way to solve the issue because you have to define different menus + responsibilities for each different user. Other way is to create roles which can be assigned to users.
    Thanks,
    Bahchevanov.

The place where i am working has apps installed in IBM AIX server .. so how do i access Apps
or can i access Apps via TOAD.You will have to access the server using ftp to download the pll files to your local machine. TOAD can be used to access the database objects only (not the physical application files).

  • Migrating menues from oracle 11i to R12

    Hi all,
I have to migrate Menus from Oracle 11i to R12, this can be done using FND_LOAD, but we have to migrate it using API's. Please suggest me the API name and approach. Currently I am investigating on fnd_menus_pkg.load_row and fnd_menu_entries_pkg.load_row . Please let mw know if these are the correct API's to migrate Menus. Any help is appreciated.

If the version of $FND_TOP/patch/115/import/afsload.lct and the table structure is identical on both instances, you may use FNDLOAD for your custom menus. However, I would not recommend using FNDLOAD or any API between different application releases.

  • How to use oracle functions in Crystal Reports XI using Oracle Server

    Hi all,
Is it possible  to use oracle functions in Crystal Reports XI using Oracle Server as Data Source.
If i try to use a procedure,i am getting error with message "Invalid Arguement Provided".
Functions are not visible objects like tables, views and stored procedures.
The  jdbs driver i m using is oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver.

I think it is not possible to add functions in crystal directly for any database. You need to use those functions in a stored procedure and add that storedprocedure as a datasource.
