Function Security Menu Report under SYSADMIN responsibility

Friends -
Using "Function Security Menu Report" i can able to find out what functions and menus are under particular responsibility.
But we have nearly 100 responsibilities where i need to submit this requests more than 100 times.
Is there any SQL Script avaliable for this.
Please advise on this.

Function Security Navigator Report

Hi,
I have to create a comma delimited flat file with the data generated by Function Security Navigator Report without any Title/subtitle. The executable is a rdf file (FNDMNNAV). Neither do I have Oracle Report nor do I know Oracle Report. Does any one have the SQL query to generate this report? Most likely there are more than one SQL queries in the rdf file - if this is so then can you please give the steps of how the data are selected for this repor?

You could change the output to XML and create a basic BI Publisher template to achieve your requirements.

The function is not available under the responsibility.

Hi,
I have developed a discoverer report in apps environment for displaying top 10 items.
Then, I rcreated a function, for the report.
Assigned function to menu.
Assigned menu to XX responsibility.
When I enter into the XX responsibility and try to access the report, the following message is getting displayed.
The XXXXX function is not available under the XX responsibility.
But if I log in to the Discoverer viewer edition, I could see the report and the results.
Can somebody explain me why the above error message is thrown?

Does this responsibility has the privileges for the plus usage ?
Login to the discoverer administrator and go to the privileges settings, search for that responsibility and set it's plus/desktop privileges.

Function Security Reports

Is there a way that I can run the Function Security Menu report in Oracle 11i for all responsibilities at the same time? I need to provide this information for an audit of user responsibilities and I need this report for each active responsibility (I have currently have 177 active responsibilities).

Did anyone figure out how to do this? We also have to provide this info to auditors on a quarterly basis, and it would be great if I didn't have to run this report for each active responsibility. I'm at a relatively small company, I can't imagine how sysadmins at large companies are able to adequately comply with SOX requirements given restrictions like this.

Sysadmin responsibility without security access

I need to create a responsibility to administer EBS but not be able to create new users or assign new responsibilities . To do that I have created a responsibility and gave it the menu "Navigator Menu - System Administrator GUI" from that I excluded the menue "Security Menu - System Administrator GUI" .
All seems to be OK but when i tried to submit a new request with a user assigned this new responsibility I got the error "invalid value for filed user_concurrent_programm_name " .
My guess is that by removing the security menu I have lost the privilege to run the concurrent programs.
Is there any other privileges I should assign this user that will allow him to administer the application and concurrent program but not be able to see any end user data or create new responsibilities or users .

Q- i want to assign a report name to particular responsibility , The report name should be display against responsibility as menu and if user click on the report the out put should come .

if user click on the report name , the concurrent program run in back end and user should get the out put.User does not know how to run report using SRS .
He only will go to responsibility and report name should display .once click the report name , the parameter screen should come and after submitting the parameter the report should fire and user should get the out put.

Cannot View Output Report in SysAdmin

Yes, this is intended functionality. You can view the logs of all concurrent requests as SYSADMIN, but not the output, for security reasons. See these MOS Docs for more info

Implementing Function Security in Oracle apps.

I wanted to restrict certain menus in Payables manager for a particular user. How should i implement it? Is there any live example of implementing function security in oracle apps? Please Help.

Hi,
One approach is to create a custom menu and attach to it all the menus and functions you want and the add this menu to a new responsibility. But this is not the best way to solve the issue because you have to define different menus + responsibilities for each different user. Other way is to create roles which can be assigned to users.

Executable
create execuatable with required appplication
Create concurrent program with the required application
& attach tht executable to it.
Go to required responsibitlity.
get its Request group.
now go to That request group
and add that concurrent program.
Now you can able to see that concurrent progrma in that responsibility.
Ensure that that responsibility is given to particular user.

Relative function in FR reports

I want to use a function in FR reports equal to the @Relative function in Essbase NOT the Relative Function found in FR (as it seems to only work on SAP / SSAS database.
Basically I want the user to select POV x and take all the Lvl 0 members under that member.
For Example if they are using this on Cost Centers dimension. They pick "Summary Node" x and it will generate all the level 0 members under that summary node only. I don't want all level 0 for the entire dimension. I also don't want all the summary points under that member (ie "IDESC" won't work).
Must be a stupid thing I'm missing cause this should be an obvious one.

I don't think what your trying to do is available "out of the box", we have used a workaround to do what you want:
- include idescendants for the member but apply suppression on the member names that ended in rollup.
(we were lucky in that the parent members were standardized to contain rollup as the description name).

I have sysatem administrator responsibility as I am DBA on PRD. I assign myself functional administartor responsiblity. Now when i access fucntioanl administrator responsiblity,
I am getting error as

Please help for how I can access functional administrator resp to work further on users issue

Please post the details of the application release, database version and OS.
Have you granted “Security Administrator” role to your user? If not, please do so and check then.
Also, check Apache log files for any errors.

Function Point Analysis Report

Hi!
We use Function Point Analysis Report in Oracle Designer 6.0 (it exist even in Designer 1.3.2) and now we´re migrating to Oracle Designer 9i.
I was trying to use "Function Point Analysis Report" in Oracle Designer 9i but it doesn´t exist anymore.
Does anybody knows how to get function point analysis report now?
Or does anybody have any suggestion on how to get this report?

These reports were removed in the move from 6.0 to 6i. You can create your own repository reports if you need them. There is a document on OTN describing how you can do this on the Repository Site, under a section called Sample code: http://otn.oracle.com/sample_code/products/scm/index.html
