Function Security Reports

Is there a way that I can run the Function Security Menu report in Oracle 11i for all responsibilities at the same time? I need to provide this information for an audit of user responsibilities and I need this report for each active responsibility (I have currently have 177 active responsibilities).

Did anyone figure out how to do this? We also have to provide this info to auditors on a quarterly basis, and it would be great if I didn't have to run this report for each active responsibility. I'm at a relatively small company, I can't imagine how sysadmins at large companies are able to adequately comply with SOX requirements given restrictions like this.

Function Security Menu Report under SYSADMIN responsibility

Friends -
Using "Function Security Menu Report" i can able to find out what functions and menus are under particular responsibility.
But we have nearly 100 responsibilities where i need to submit this requests more than 100 times.
Is there any SQL Script avaliable for this.
Please advise on this.

Function Security Navigator Report

Hi,
I have to create a comma delimited flat file with the data generated by Function Security Navigator Report without any Title/subtitle. The executable is a rdf file (FNDMNNAV). Neither do I have Oracle Report nor do I know Oracle Report. Does any one have the SQL query to generate this report? Most likely there are more than one SQL queries in the rdf file - if this is so then can you please give the steps of how the data are selected for this repor?

You could change the output to XML and create a basic BI Publisher template to achieve your requirements.

FTP Error when running security reports

Hi,
When running the security report function from:
Informer -
|-Security Reports
|
|- Users,Roles,Profiles,Miscellaneous
Tabs: I get the following msg displayed: FTP site Location, user name,
password not defined
I have requested my basis team to give me the detail, that I can add it
to the config but had the following reply.
Standardbank does not make use of the FTP protocol and thus would not
be used/required.
Please advise what the work around id that I can run these reports.

Error while exporting security report to Excel

We are using SAP BPC 7.5 MS sp07 version
In our application , particular user is unable to download/export the User security report to Excel.
I am able to do it successfully.
User encounters following error:
Unable to download …ed.ReportViewerWebControl.axd from servername.com
Unable to open this internet side. The requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found.
Please try again later.

Implementing Function Security in Oracle apps.

I wanted to restrict certain menus in Payables manager for a particular user. How should i implement it? Is there any live example of implementing function security in oracle apps? Please Help.

Hi,
One approach is to create a custom menu and attach to it all the menus and functions you want and the add this menu to a new responsibility. But this is not the best way to solve the issue because you have to define different menus + responsibilities for each different user. Other way is to create roles which can be assigned to users.

How to add "Team leader" field in standard BPC security report

BPC Expert,
We are using BPC MS 5.0 version.
There is a checkbox in the security setup to make someone a "Team Leader" when you add him/her to a team and this checkbox determines who can post data and who cannot. When we run the user report we see which team the user is in but we do not have visibility to whether or not they are a "Team Leader" which is what business owner needs to see to approve user access.
I figured out "dbo.userteamassign" is the table which hold team leader value. Can anyone please tell me all the steps of adding team leader field in the standard BPC 5.0 security report.

Thanks for the response. I know associated steps to declare business user as a team leader but my original question is "how to add a column in standard BPC security report that says who is team leader or who is not".
Do you know the Dtx package that is responsible to supply the data to Standard BPC security report? We can enhance standard data package to pull/display extra "Team leader" column in standard security report.

While using this Xpath expression validation is sucessfull but concatenation operation is not working when checked in the message reports under operations tab.

can you try assign concatenated value to some xml element first, like
assign : <value>{fn:concat(a,b)}</value> to e.g. value
and then report key ./text() in variable $value

Go to Function in Report

Hello Friends,
Here i am having two BW reports, report 1 and report 2.
I am accessing report 2 with GO TO functionality in report 1.
In report 1, we have various fields such as characteristics, attributes, navigational attributes and Key figures.

So on which field (Right click to use go to function) of the report 1 is suggested to use GO TO function. what is the reason please.

Security Reports - Scheduling daily retrieval

Hi,
I have two questions regarding security reports.
I do Not have Planning audit trails activated(client does not want that.) But I Do need a daily report of all the changes that the Hyperion admin does to the roles and provisioning of groups and users.

Of the 3 reports-Security Reports,Artifact Reports,Config Reports ,that are available in Shared services, it seemed that the 'Security Reports' was my best bet as it made me select what I wanted reports on.(eg. Directory Managemet,UserProvisioning in Select Tasks).But when I run the report I see repetitive lines of useless info

Access control report only gives me the user/group access and not the changes that were made to them. The Security team at the bank would want to monitor the activities of the Hyperion admin and see what changes were made by her.
Which report shoould I use to get the required info?

How do I automate the generation of reoprt such that the members of the security team get the report in their emails daily?

are we talking about a single report object here or do more than one report objects (Have the same problem)?
Is the empty instance been scheduled with the same user as the one you use to view the report in the infoview?
Have you checked for any error messages in the log files residing in the logging directory in your BOBJ installation directory?
Have you got any service packs (latest SP = SP4) installed on your BOBJ server?

PCA Functional Area Report Problem With Co-Product Settlements

I have built a profit center functional area report for use in a manufacturing client. The reason is because the factory cost centers flow to the product cost (via costing sheets) and the administrative cost centers are expensed monthly. However, SAP seems to have no other approach to handle the issue where common expense elements must be reported in these two separate sections. Anyway, here is my problem:
After creating the functional areas and matching them to each cost center appropriately and then applying a different functional area to orders, I see that settlement of co-products causes my report to zero out the functional area that should match the overhead cost centers. These obviously should not be impacted by settlement and I see that they are not impacted in the transactional data. However, the functional area report shows a different story. I believe it somehow has to do with the unusual way that co-product split up and settle versus other types of orders. I may need some sort of subtitution rule, but like I said, the raw transactional data looks correct and the report should bring in these values.
I used ledger 8A if that helps. I am sure I missed some small thing somewhere.

It looks to me like the New G/L may have taken care of some of my issue. The FI reconciliation G/L account (690000 usually) includes the secondary cost center postings as well as the secondary order postings. The cost center side of the secondary transaction reflects the functional area for cost centers (Factory Exp or Admin Exp in my case), whereas the order side of the secondary posting shows the functional area associated with order consumption (Net Consumption in our case).
This appears to mean that the standard report for Functional Areas from FI should work to break up the income statement for manufacturing purposes. This report is S_PLO_86000029. That report looks to me like it will replace my need for a PCA based Functional Area Report.

List Database Security Reporting and Administration Users

Dear Expert,
Im working with BW 2004s Security Component , I try to find a database table in SE16 that it contain the follow field: Role with your component by Authorization Object. My scope is identify what role is a Secure Reporting Users and Secure Administration Users.
The role has S_RS_COMP and S_RS_COMP1 are Reporting Users. Moreover, the role has Reporting Users S_RS_ADMIWB, S_RS_IOBJ, S_RS_ISOUR, S_RS_ISRCM and S_RS_MRPO

You can find the information you want in table AGR_HIER.
In this table you can select the role,
In the field REPORT, select RRMX ,this will show you all roles with their workbooks.
