Function with in a function

Hi All,
I have a urgnt requirement where presently i am using a while loop and mapping the source payload to target as there is no change in the source and target.
Now i want to do a change in the transformation so i want to go to a transformation rather than assign inside the while loop.
ora:processXSLT('Transformation_3.xsl',ora:getNodes('inputVariable','payload','/client:loopProcess/client:CompleteAccount/ns1:Account[$Counter]'))
So what i need is i need to process a xslt inside a loop with a counter in the ora:getNodes() inside the ora:processXSLT() will the BPEL engine work with this kind of function in the assign.
this is a kind of wierd question but i am thinking of this way of approach is there any better way please do let me know any information is appreciated.
regards,
A

  • Can i use Lead function with Group by function

    I could use this query and get right ouput since i define product id =2000
    select product_id, order_date,
    lead (order_date,1) over (ORDER BY order_date) AS next_order_date
    from orders
    where product_id = 2000;
    But can i run this query by Group by Function
    for example
    select product_id, order_date,

    from orders

  • BETWEEN FUNCTION WITH IN A DECODE FUNTION IN A CURSOR

    The following below is my query..I have to get the hours,min and seconds from a 'yyyy-mm-dd-24hh.mi.ss' value and check if the time is between 12 am to 6 am , then write it with one value else write an another value..I am trying to use 'BETWEEN' function in decode function but i am getting error.....Can we use BETWEEN function with in decode function or is there any other way
    set serveroutput on
    declare
    cursor cur_dte is select lst_upd_date from EMPLOYESS ;
    begin
    for i in cur_dte loop
    DECODE (substr(trim(i.lst_upd_date),12)) ,between '00.00.00.0000' and '06.00.00.00.0000' ,101,102);
    dbms_output.put_line(i.lst_upd_date);
    end loop;
    end

    First of all. If you are in PL/SQL then CASE is just a more colmplex expression then IF THEN ELSE. I usually prefere If then else, but for some rare cases.
    The other issue is that you convert a datetime value into a string. This is wrong. it opens up all possible kinds of cenversion bugs. Stay with date or timestamp as long as possible.
    The solution depends a little upon the datatype of your lst_upd_date column.
    Here is a pl/sql solution assuming it is DATE.
    The TRUNC function can be used to reduce a datetime to a day or to an hour.
    declare
       cursor cur_dte is select lst_upd_date from employees ;
    begin
       for i in cur_dte loop
         if trunc(i.lst_upd_date,'HH') between trunc(i.lst_upd_date) and trunc(i.lst_upd_date)+6/24 then
            dbms_output.put_line(to_char(i.lst_upd_date,'DD-MON-YYYY HH24:MI:SS'));
         end if;
       end loop;
    end;
    /But a pure SQL solution is much better.
    Here is how you implement it using CASE in SQL.
    example using pure sql
    select e.*,
            case when trunc(e.lst_upd_date,'HH')
                   between trunc(e.lst_upd_date) and trunc(e.lst_upd_date)+6/24
            then 101
            else 102
            end as "early_morning_check"
    from employees e;And if it is a timestamp column then you could use the EXTRACT function.
    select e.*,
            case when to_number(extract(hour from e.lst_upd_date))
                   between 0 and 6
            then 101
            else 102
            end as "early_morning_check"
    from employees e;You might want to consider if date values like 06:45:00 should be included or not.

  • Problem using DECODE() function with a Query of Queries

    I
    posted
    on my blog about an issue I was having trying to use the PL/SQL
    DECODE() function with a Coldfusion Query of Queries. This function
    works fine when you query a database for information. However, when
    you query another query, it seems that CF doesn't recognize it. I
    got errors stating that it found a left parenthesis where it
    expected a FROM key word. Here is a simplified version of what I am
    trying to do:
    quote:
    <!--- Simulated query; similar to what I was calling from
    my database --->
    <cfscript>
    qOriginal = queryNew("Name,Email,CountryCode",
    "VarChar,VarChar,VarChar");
    newRow = queryAddRow(qOriginal, 5);
    querySetCell(qOriginal, "Name", "Joe", 1);
    querySetCell(qOriginal, "Email", "[email protected]", 1);
    querySetCell(qOriginal, "CountryCode", "AMER", 1);
    querySetCell(qOriginal, "Name", "Sally", 2);
    querySetCell(qOriginal, "Email", "[email protected]", 2);
    querySetCell(qOriginal, "CountryCode", "AMER", 2);
    querySetCell(qOriginal, "Name", "Bob", 3);
    querySetCell(qOriginal, "Email", "[email protected]", 3);
    querySetCell(qOriginal, "CountryCode", "ASIA", 3);
    querySetCell(qOriginal, "Name", "Mary", 4);
    querySetCell(qOriginal, "Email", "[email protected]", 4);
    querySetCell(qOriginal, "CountryCode", "EURO", 4);
    querySetCell(qOriginal, "Name", "John", 5);
    querySetCell(qOriginal, "Email", "[email protected]", 5);
    querySetCell(qOriginal, "CountryCode", "EURO", 5);
    </cfscript>
    <cfquery name="qCountries" dbtype="query">
    SELECT DISTINCT(CountryCode) AS CountryCode,
    DECODE(states, "AMER", "North America &amp; Canada",
    "EURO", "Europe &amp; Africa", "ASIA", "Japan &amp;
    Asia","") CountryName
    FROM qOriginal
    ORDER BY CountryCode
    </cfquery>
    <cfdump var="#qCountries#">
    <!--- ========== END OF CODE ========== --->
    So running this returned the following error:
    Query Of Queries syntax error.
    Encountered "(. Incorrect Select Statement, Expecting a
    'FROM', but encountered '(' instead, A select statement should have
    a 'FROM' construct.
    Does anybody know why this doesn't work? Is it just not
    supported? Please note that I have also tried to use the CASE()
    function instead of DECODE() and that resulted in basically the
    same error. For now I an looping over my distinct query with a
    switch statement and manually loading a new query with the data how
    I want it. But it would be a lot cleaner and less code to have the
    DECODE() to work. Thx!

    DECODE() is an Oracle function, not generic SQL. Q-of-Q is a
    very limited subset of SQL and lacks many functions and clauses
    available in standard SQL, especially what you may be used to using
    in your particular RDBMS.

  • Text-input component with auto-complete functionality for mobile

    Hey guys,
    I wonder if there is a text-input component with auto-complete functionality optimized for mobile development with AIR like the one that Android provides natively as you can see here http://developer.android.com/reference/android/widget/AutoCompleteTextView.html and here http://developer.android.com/resources/tutorials/views/hello-autocomplete.html.
    At least I didn't find it in the latest SDK and I think such a component is pretty standard nowadays. Or did I simply overlook it?
    Thank you guys for any advice.
    Regards,
    Thilo

    Hi relaxtraja,
    thanks for your reply!
    I knew that there are a lot of auto-complete scripts on the web. What I was hoping was, that Adobe provides an officially supported auto-complete component optimized for mobile as part of the SDK (like in the Android SDK as I pointed out), but that doesn't seem to be the case. It's sad, because it's an essential part of modern UIs in mobile applications.
    I've already created an auto-complete component by myself based on Spark components and I will end up using it. But I will have to optimize it for mobile applications beforehands. I just think something this essential should be provided by the SDK.
    However, thanks for posting!

  • Performance issues with pipelined table functions

    I am testing pipelined table functions to be able to re-use the <font face="courier">base_query</font> function. Contrary to my understanding, the <font face="courier">with_pipeline</font> procedure runs 6 time slower than the legacy <font face="courier">no_pipeline</font> procedure. Am I missing something? The <font face="courier">processor</font> function is from [url http://www.oracle-developer.net/display.php?id=429]improving performance with pipelined table functions .
    Edit: The underlying query returns 500,000 rows in about 3 minutes. So there are are no performance issues with the query itself.

  • Problem with Edit IN function between LR 2.3 and PS CS3

    I recently upgraded my system to a Windows Vista 64 bit Core 2 Quad with 8 GB.  Lightroom now works and loads images the way it should. I do have one major concern and need any help possible.
    I am using LR 2.3 in 64 bit and PS CS3 ver 10.0.1 (which is 32 bit - loads slowly but otherwise works fine).  The problem I am encountering is in LR Develop / Photo / Edit In...  - using any of the menu items:
    "Edit in Abode Photoshop CS3"
    "Open as Smart Object In Photoshop"
    "Merge to Panorama in Photoshop"
    "Merge to HDR in Photoshop"
    "Open as layers in Photoshop"
    Photoshop opens but no image(s) are exported and I receive the message in LR - "The file could not be edited because Adobe Photoshop CS3 could not be launched."
    Photoshop, however, was launched but no image exported and so I can't work on the image in PS.  The appropriate TIFF image is created in LR for the first two menu items - nothing for the last three menu items.
    I can create a partial work around by setting PS as an external editor, however, I can't use 4 of 5 of the menu items.
    All the menu items work fine in Windows XPpro.
    Any help is much appreciated.
    PS I also tried the most recent Window 7 RC with exactly the same results.
    Thanks

    I have a PowerBook G4 with a non-functioning monitor.  It used to work with an external monitor, but I reinstalled the OS, which cleared the display preferences and now when I restart it won't detect the external monitor. This means I can't use the computer anymore. How do I fix? I tried using the Command+F2 keyboard shortcut, but it doesnt' work.  It's possible that since I reinstalled the OS, it still needs to be set up, so there's only a welcome screen (but since I can't see it I'm not sure).

  • Interactive Report with PL/SQL Function Source

    Is it possible to create interactive report with PL/SQL function source returing a query? If not, has anyone done any work to simulate the interactive reporting feature for a normal report using API?

    I haven't tried that before but you could:
    1. create a collection from your result set returned by a dynamic query,
    2. create a view on that collection,
    3. use the view in your interactive report.
    The usability of this proposal depends from a question how "dynamic" your query is - does it always have the same number of columns or not.

  • Passing arrays with Call Library Function does not work after application builder

    Calling a DLL with Call Library Function which requires an array of data works correctly in Labview, but after building an exe with application builder, the call no longer works.  Dereferecing the pointer in the DLL retuns all 0s and not the actual values.

    I did not run your code because it is a little unclear to me what it does.
    Two things:
    First, is the DLL you are calling the DLL-ified version of PopUpNames.vi? Then the problem is likely that the panel is not being built into the DLL.
    When LabView builds an application / dll, it strips the front panel and block diagram from all VIs that it doesn't think need to show a panel at run time. This reduces file size and increases code security. The App Builder's panel inclusion logic can be overridden by Build Specifications -> Source File Settings -> Remove front panel. A better method is to put a property node on a control in a window you want to show marking it "visible"; this is sufficient to tell the App Builder it should keep the panel.
    Currently Source File Settings shows "no dependencies" (clearly incorrect---another evil side effect of Express VIs I guess) but if you change the settings as shown below to keep ALL panels, one might hope the App Builder can figure it to keep the panel when it deconstructs the Express VI. (Alternatively convert the Express VI into a regular one.)
    A second comment: I am a bit flummoxed at the larger goal here. You are calling LabView DLL from LabView, which doesn't make a lot of sense, so I assume your larger goal is to call LabView from C or vice-versa. In that case be aware that your DLL is x86 (32-bit) but you are passing 64-bit ints as your pointers. In this case it is 32-bit LabView with 32-bit pointers in embedeed in 64-bit containers calling 32-bit LabView with 32-bit pointers in embedeed in 64-bit containers, so it all works, but if your going to call this from C or whatnot you're going to have to follow that same design.
    When calling C code the LabView Call Library Function does have a "unsigned pointer-sized integer" data type that always appears to be 64 bits in the dev env but which actually passes a 64 or 32-bit int to the DLL depending on the environment. The "pointer sized int" has to be 64 bits in the "LabView" part of the code because LabView's strong typing requires the data type to be determined at compile time. Casting all pointers to the largest data type in LabView makes it possible to write platform-independent code, but down at the Call Library level you still have to put the right number of bytes on the stack.

  • Order split functionality with PP-PI

    Hello Forum,
    I am not sure whether we can use the order split functionality with process orders .  I had implemented it earlier for a client with discrete MFG production type but not aware whether we can do so in process industry (couldn't find the provision to do so in process order operation overview screen function menu path).
    Cheers
    Kaushik

    Hi Kaushik,
    Yes your right.
    Order split functionality is only applicable for Discrete manfg not for PI industry this is major difference between PI & DM.But you can achieve this at the time of process order confirmation.
    Example :-In the Goods Movement Overview of Process Order confirmation FG material is done Auto GR. This FG material Quantity needs to be splitted. Push button "Split" is provided in the bottom of the Goods Movement Overview screen of Process Order Confirmaton.
    Say FG quantity = 25 KG  which is to be confirmed. Client wants to split the FG quantity into 1 KG wise, for this he needs to split into 25 times.
    You can implement this by using below work order
    Please use the WORKORDER_GOODSMVT for splitting the GR in Confirmation
    This u can implement in PI.Also check Mr.Paulo reply that could be one possibility.
    check & revert.

  • Creating Report using EPM Functions with Dynamic Filters

    Hi All,
    I am new to BPC, In BPC 7.5 i seen like we can generate EPM report using EVDRE function very quickly and easy too. Is the same feature is existing in BPC 10.0 ? if no how can we create EPM reports using EPM Functions with Dynamic Filters on the Members of the dimension like in BPC 7.5.
    And i searched in SDN, there is no suitable blogs or documents which are related to generation of Reports using EPM Functions. All are described just in simple syntax way. It is not going to be understand for the beginners.
    Would you please specify in detail step by step.
    Thanks in Advance.
    Siva Nagaraju

    Siva,
    These functions are not used to create reports per se but rather assist in building reports. For ex, you want to make use of certain property to derive any of the dimension members in one of your axes, you will use EPMMemberProperty. Similary, if you want to override members in any axis, you will make use of EPMDimensionOverride.
    Also, EvDRE is not replacement of EPM functions. Rather, you simply create reports using report editor (drag and drop) and then make use of EPM functions to build your report. Forget EvDRE for now.
    You can protect your report to not allow users to have that Edit Report enabled for them.
    As Vadim rightly pointed out, start building some reports and then ask specific questions.
    Hope it clears your doubts.

  • How to open labview program with Quit Labview function inside?

    Hi Any idea how to open labview program with  Quit Labview function inside?
    I forgot to add and set the condition of the type for this program.
    If the program is an application, it would close straight away.
    If it is still labview work, it will go straight to editing program without closing.
    So I need to recover, open it and make some changes.

    Put the VI in a project and open it from there, then it shouldn't autorun. You can use App.kind property of application to decide whether to close or not.

    XSL-1000: (Fatal Error) Error while parsing XSL file (Extension function namespace should start with 'http://www.oracle.com/XSL/Transform/java/'.).
    What kind of namespace I should specify?

    Hello, Paul.
    I'm sure you may not use JavaScript as a language for creating XSLT extention functions with Oracle XDK Parser. This is since parser might have JavaScript interpreter to work with JavaScript, but it has not.
    If you need to build any XSLT extention functions you must build them as Java class' static methods.
    After that, you define the usage of the class by mean of namespace declaration as:
    xmlns:your-ns="http://www.oracle.com/XSL/Transform/java/yourpackage.Yourclass"
    (Prefix "http://www.oracle.com/XSL/Transform/java/" may differs if you use non-Oracle XML parser)
    and use class' static method in XSLT:
    <xsl:value-of select="your-ns.staticMethodName(paramsIfAny)"/>
    In your case you may wish to use standard Date class:
    xmlns:date="http://www.oracle.com/XSL/Transform/java/java.util.Date"
    <xsl:value-of select="date:toString(date:new)"/>

  • How to use elapsed time function with state machine in Lab VIEW

    Hello
    I've been trying to use state machine with elapsed time function in order to sequentially start and stop my code. The arrangement is to start the code for 1 minute then stop for 5 minutes. I've attached the code, the problem is when I place the elapsed time function out of the while loop it doesn't work, on the other hand when I place it inside the loop it does work but it doesn't give the true  signal to move to the next state.
    Could you please have a look to my code and help me to solve this issue.

    could you please explain the code for me, the use of Boolean crossing, increment , and equal functions
    Best Regards
    Rajab
    OK..I modded the example to stop after 2 cycles. Also recommend taking the free online LabVIEW tutorials.
    run vi. case statement goes to "initialize", shift registers are initialized to their constants. goto "wait"
    "start"= false, stay in current state. If true, transition to "1 min" case
    reset elapsed timer with True from shift register(counter starts at zero)."time has elapsed"=false, stay in current state(1 min). If true, goto "5min" case
    reset elapsed timer with True from shift register of previous case(counter starts at zero)."time has elapsed"=false, stay in current state(5 min). If true, goto "1min" case. Also, bool crossing is looking for "true-false" from "5 min" compare function to add cycle count.
    Once cycle count reaches 2, stop while loop....
