Functional overlap between WebCenter Services and Beehive API
Hi,
I'm evaluating Beehive and have also just begun working with TP3 and WebCenter - and am curious about the rather substantial overlap between the new WebCenter Services and the Beehive API. Would anyone know if Beehive is utilizing the WebCenter Services internally, and just bundling them into that product and exposing them as Web Services through their API? Or are they just seperate and parallel efforts?
Thanks.
Hi,
I suggest to post this on the Webcenter forum WebCenter Portal

What are the functional differences between the iPhone and the iPod Touch, barring of course the differences in service requirements.
For one, their form factors are slightly different as the iPhone has a bit more squarish body whereas the iPod Touch has a tapered back to it.
The iPhone also has much better front and rear cameras. Exact details as to the difference in megapixels depends on whether or not you talking about the iPhone 4 or 4S. If you would like to get more details, you can always view
each models specs on Apple's online store.
See here for a better explanation.

Connection between data services and BWA
Hi,
I want to make a connection between Data Services 3.2 and BWA. Since we use RFC connection in between in order to have them talk with eachother but i wonder if there is any documentation that describes the RFC connection and configuration required particularly in this scenario. I have gone through the documentation that explains RFC connection between Data Services and BW and what configuration we have to do, so i wonder if there are any functions we have to export to BWA from Data Services like we do in case of BW connection to Data Services or some specific configuration we have to do. If someone help who has done connection between Data Services and BWA can help or if somebody can provide documentaton on it.Hi,
You should ask this question over here: http://scn.sap.com/community/data-services

Diferences between BEA Framework and Beehive
Hi,
Anyone can tell me what are the main diferences, in terms of functionalities, between BEA Framework and Beehive?
Thanks,
rjcYou'd probably have to be a little more specific to get a better answer, but I can try to provide some information.
I don't know what you mean by the "BEA framework". That could mean lots of things. Beehive is a framework for building web applications. It requires JDK 5. In WLS 9 and Workshop 9, Beehive is part of the "BEA framework". In WLS 8.1, Workshop applications use the NetUI framework, the functionality of which has been subsumed into Beehive. -
Difference between business service and business system in SLD
hi all,
i m very new to XI. can anybody tell me that what is the basic difference between Business Service and Business Systems?
Is it necessary to use them? and if yes then when to use what?
Thanx.
Regards,
Kunjal......Hi Kunjal,
In SAP XI every system in your landscape with which you are interfacing is defined as Service.
The service can be your Business service or Business system.
Generally SAP systems are referred to Business system and you define them in the SLD before you import them.
The Business service is a logical name referring to any system in your landscape.
To communicate with any third party application you need to create communication channels which are associated to your service.

Diff between Business service and Business System?
HI Experts,
Pls let me know wht is the difference between business service and business system??
when we will have to go for business service and when for business system??
thnx in advance..
New XIHi,
Difference between Business Service and Business System are :
1) Business sytem require all details like login user id
password require to create but in case of business service
log in details does not require..
2) A Business System is purely for SAP-Systems and
Business Service for Non-SAP systems
3) Business service refers to any business applications where
as the business system is defined in SLD(System Landscape
Directory)
4) When we have full details of application system the we are
going to use the business system and it is created in the
SLD so we dont have authorization to change the business
system name.
When we have partial details or no details of Technical
system then we r going to use the business service. it is
created in the ID. we can see and change it.
5) A Business system is something that physically exists
For example, if u want to download a file from a system
ABC, by using file adapter and then want to update the
content of this file into r/3 database by using RFc,then
the system abc and the r/3 will be ur business systems
i.e. they physically exists. Business Systems are
configured in SLD.
Business service is mostly usedin B2B Scenario (cross-
component),where you don't know the Business System of your
partner. In other words business Service will be used only
for those partners which do not have a physical landscape
set up . Business servces do not have an entry in SLD.
6) A Business Service is an Abstract Unit(which is not in
System Landscape Directory) addressing Senders and
Receivers of Messages.
Physicals systems which use their communication channels
and routing rules to communicate with other systems are
called as Application Systems OR physical systems.
7) In simple when u going for A2A integration then we define
our Technical systems are Business system. If we r going
for B2B integration then we dont know the complete
information about the other end Business Landscape so, we
configure it as a Business Services. Business system are
created at SLD. Where as a Business Services are created at
Integration Directory.
8) Business systems:
These are logical senders or receivers that exchange
messages by using the Integration Server and that are
entered in the System Landscape Directory.
The business systems in the System Landscape Directory
relate to a system landscape. The business systems of
business partners are therefore not entered in the System
Landscape Directory. To be able to address such business
partners logically, use communication components in the
Integration Directory. A business system is a way of
specifying a communication component in the Integration
Directory more precisely (business system component).
Hope this will hwlp u..

Is mirroring function possible between an Ipad and an Iphone?
Hello,
Is mirroring function possible between an Ipad and an Iphone?
Wireless or not.
ThanksThe games are the app - there is no app that controls other apps (i.e. games) and allows mirroring. Even the games are not "mirroring" in the way of one device sending it's control out to another - you're both playing it together.
To sum up, if the game is designed for "sharing" then you can see each other's movements on both screens - but no app can do it for other games. -

Difference between Web Services and RFC (both Advantages & Disadvantage)
Hi All,
will you please explain the difference between Web Services and RFC (both Advantages & Disadvantage)
Thanks,
jyothi.Hi,
If you want have a communications between SAP systems within a network, we can go for an RFC.
If you want have communication between SAP systems through a medium like internet, we can probably go for a webservice.
Please refer the following links:
What is the difference between RFC vs. Web service ?
Webservice
If you want to convert an RFC fuction module to an webservice, you can refer the following link,
Using RFC as WebService in WebDynpro
Hope this will help you.

OES and WebCenter Integration And PEP API Issues
Hi All,
Currently we want to develop a WebCenter app which will check Authentication Policy in Oracle Entitlement Server using PEP API.
We encountered some issues, and have following questions:
1. According to PEP sample API, seems the PEP client application could only connect to the OES which is deployed on the same container context (same WLS domain).
Is that possible for our PEP client application to connect to OES which is deployed on a different WLS domain or even remote WLS?
2. Currently we deployed our WebCenter Spaces and OES on different WLS domains, is this a common pattern for WebCenter and OES integration?
We got following error while starting up OES, after we try deploying OES 11.1.1.5.0 and WebCenter Portal 11.1.1.6.0 together on a WLS (10.3.5) domain.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
Thanks,
Nicholas

Looks like it's not a good idea to mix FMW products of different version in a single project.
