    Functional Specification:
    The Functional Specification describes the features of the desired functinality.. It describes the product's features as seen by the stake holders,and contains the technical information and the data needed for the design and developement.
    The Functional Specification defines what the functionality will be of a particulat area that is to be precise a transaction in SAP terminology.
    The Functional Specification document to create a detailed design document that explains in detail how the software will be designed and developed.
    Technical Specification
    Technical Specification is the document prepared by the Technical consultants. These documents are prepared basing on the Functional Specification given by the Functional consultants. The Technical Specification contains the following;
    GENERAL INFORMATION
    DEVELOPMENT INFORMATION

  • RE: BI functional and Technical Specification

    Hi,
    Can anybody share BI Functional and Technical Specification for SAP R/3 data extraction for modules FI/CO, SD, MM, WM/MM.
    Thanks.

    Hi Hitesh
    Bi Functional Specification is like this where you get the details of what is the report they are looking for and what does that do in detail explanation from the key user of that particular area.
    and also you will receive an document saying that the particular tables and fields ...
    After receiving that then you will be starting an work by preparing an Design document of what are the objects you are going to use in the system and what type of Data Source your are  using and Targets etc.. This is nothing but an Technical Specification... and this also contains what type of the load is it...
    Hope this helps you..
    Thanks

  • Product Specification or Technical Specification for a HP G6000 laptop?

    Does anyone have or know where I might find the Product Specification or Technical Specification for a HP G6000 laptop? I'm particularly interested in the hard drive installed. My daughters laptop HD has crashed so I can't even boot it up to find the HD spec., and although I have removed it, I find it is a Toshiba HDD2D62 120GB Sata 2.5". I can't find a similar one anywhere or a website that provides a suitable compatible HD. Any suggestions anyone?
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

    Hi,
    The laptop is probably a SATA I one so SATA (not SATA II)  hard drives should work on the laptop. I believe that any SATA hdd up to 160GB should work.

  • Can anyone recommend a Multi-function black and white laser printer for that works with Mountain Lion? The MFP can be either 3-in-1  or 4-in-1 i.e with fax

    can anyone recommend a Multi-function black and white laser printer for that works with Mountain Lion?
    The MFP can be either 3-in-1  or 4-in-1 i.e with fax

    I bought an epson xp650 a couple of months ago and cannot fault it. It does everything I require and it is the wifi model so I can print directly from my ipad/iphone. Not sure if you are asking about the colour of the unit or just to be able to print black and white, Obviously all printers will print black and white but just to give you a little more info the printer I bought is the white version and it looks really nice sat next to my imac 27''
    Hope this helps.

  • Functional and Technical Specification

    Hi Experts
    As a Functional Consultant we prepare Functional Specefication. As I came to know that on the basis of this Technical Specification are prepared.
    My querry is what are these two and whats the difference between these. Are we require to check Techniocal Specification before making any change in already prepared Functional specs.
    Thanks.

    Hello,
    See the basic difference is Functional Specs are prepared by functional consultant, whereas Techincal specs are prepared by ABAPers.
    Functional specs comprises of the logic, which has table & field from which the data has to be fetched. Since ABAPer can write abap code, the document is to guide them in writing the code.
    Technical specs is completely prepared by ABAPers only.
    No, its not needed to check Technical Specification before making any change in already prepared Functional specs.
    Hope this solves your query.

  • What is RSSI , SNR and technical specification value in dbm

    Hi,
    I am little bit confused about RSSI concept and SNR , Signal strength.
    One more thing that , what is technical specification of signal strength and SNR and RSSI for 802.11 a,b,g and n
    Because as far as application concern , this values get changed eq. voice , video
    I need to get the values according to application.

    Hi,
    RSSI means Receiver Signal Strength Indicator. It's the strength of the signal as perceived as received by the client. It does not have a precise unit of measurement. On client softwares, it's usually a percentage (that has no real meaning). WLC and APs usually show in dbm.
    SNR is Signal/Noise ratio. The noise level is usually at -90dbm let's say. This means that if you have a signal at -90dbm, it's completely lost in the noise, it has a SNR of 0.
    A signal at -80dbm has a SNR of 10 in the same conditions, it is barely decodable.
    However if the noise level is -95 then a signal of -80 will give a SNR of 15 and will be much more decodable.
    Noise is usually between -100 and -90 in normal circumstances.
    Dbm is another way of expressing power (rather than milliwatts). The advantage of dbm is that you can add or substract antenna gains very easily since those are in db.
    20dbm=100mw
    The rule is "if you substract 3dbm, divide the mw by 2" and "if you substract 10dbm, divide the milliwats by 10"
    So 17dbm = 50mw
    13dbm=25mw
    10dbm=10mw
    The received signal strength which are usually between -40 and -80dbm are then fractions of fractions of microwatts :-)

  • XI Technical and Business System Definition For MDM 2.0

    Hi,
    We're trying to define the XI technical and business system definitions for our MDM 2.0 installation to work with SRM 5.0 and PI 7.0.
    In the documentation we have we can't find reference to what type of a technical and business system to define. Should they be abap/java/standalone/3rd party?
    Does anyone have any install scripts of what they did?
    Regards,
    Jerry Martinek

    You can set it as third party and it will work fine.  Because MDM isn't built on the wed application server like the majority of the netweaver apps, it's basically treated like a third party system as far as integration is concerned.  Hence you send and receive XML documents to PI and convert them into IDocs to send to R/3
    Check the beginning of this document on creating the business and technical systems for MDM

    Ninad

    Hi Niand,
    Try to deploy MDM and Java API'S sda files by using SDM. You can start SDM
    <>:\usr\sap\<sys_id>\JC01\SDM\program\RemoteGui.bat
    These .sca files comes along with MDM Installation software and you can find them in C:\5103278\MDM\Portal_Content
    BPMDMAPPLI05_0.sca
    BPMDMTECHN05_0.sca
    MDM_WEB_UI_550.sca
    MDMJAVAAPI05_0.sca
    You need to deploy these files through SDM.
    Hope this helps you to get MDM ivew template in EP.

  • Functional document and technical document?

    I would like to know clearly what is Functional document process and Technical document process in SAP implementation? As a technical lead how can we contact the functional team for this? What is the ideal time  to write a technical document?

    Hi Jayakumar,
    Let me explain u clearly
    Setp1:
    when there is any business req it is identified by the functional people
    depending on the req they will create a document keeping business standards in mind
    this is called as Functional Spec or Functional Document
    Step2:
    Once the Functional Spec is generated then it will be passed to the technical team
    They understand the Functional  Spec and change that into technical Document
    they interact wiht the functional people and then make a Document called Technical Document.
    Step3:
    Once the Technical document is prepared then they start to build the object based on the technical document they build only when they get the approval from the functional people.
    Business Requirement--->Functional Document->Technical Document--->Build Object.
    if found worth pls do the req
    Thanx
