Lease Out Contract - Master Data Structural Relations

Dear Gurus,
I am new to FX RE and if my question is too simple, please excuse me!
I am researching the possibilities for the master data structure of lease in contracts and have a serious confusion.
The documentation says that objects can be assigned to a contract individually or many objects related to one contract. At the same tim it is said that rental units are assigned only to lease out contracts.
How should i proceed if my company has got many lease in contracts for different object. Is it a must the contract to be assigned to an object or it can be managed just as a contract? I saw that from the RE Navigator you can create a contract, does that mean that in FX RE the contracts itself is considered as master data record?
Any opinions will be highly appreciated.

I am working for a Teleco and i am researching the possibility of implementing FX - RE internally. We will not need all the functionalities of the module, but only the ones that allow you to manage your lease in contracts. We`ve got lots of base stations contracts (as you can imagine) where our company is a tenant in a lease contract.
I did some research in relation to the master data structure and cant work out how should our master data be structured. The business requirements are - handling the advance payments, accruals and postings, giving and receiving notices, adjustments of rent etc. Is it possible to create the contract within the system, set all the conditions directly in it or do we need to have another master record other that the contract itself.
My confusion comes from the fact that the standard solution of the lease outs suggests creating a rental unit first and then assigning the contract to it. But since we will be tenants we dont need to more detailed information on these objects, we just need the conditions in the contract that will let us handle all the activities that arise in connection to it.
I hope that i put the question more clearly this time.
Can you also tell me if it is possible to create a template and after entering the conditions about the particular contract to generate it from the system on a hard copy?

I'll give you my opinion based on my experience...
Templates serves as 'skeletons' of generated forms and reports. You use them to define global appearance and functionalities of the module, but not details like specific item properties.
The object libraries define the details of the generated objects, like items, canvas, windows. Many properties you can't define using templates, but can do using object libraries.
Usually to generate an app you rely on both templates and object libraries, as well on preferences.
I've never used headstart, but I think it's a kind of "add-on" to Designer, with pre-customized templates, object libraries etc (maybe it can be thought as a framework?)

'Additional Rental' streams in lease contract

Hi All,
We have a stream called 'RENT' in our lease templates which are associated to every asset. We have a requirement to add additional rent during the life of the contract. We tried the below approaches and failed.
Approach 1:
Created a new 'ADDITIONAL RENTAL' as a fee line (New Stream with Pupose is fee payment)
Assciated this to the asset
Created a payment line
Associated a payment line to an asset
We got error while validation -
Error1 - A Payment is required for a income fee (ADDITONAL RENTAL)
Error 2 -Total payment amount must be equal to fee line amount for income fee
Approach 2
Created a new 'ADDITIONAL RENTAL' as a fee line (New Stream with Pupose is fee payment)
Assciated this to the asset
Created a payment line
Rebooking causes the page to hand both in 11i and R12.
Questions
1. Kindly let us know what type of stream (purpose) that can be used for the above requirement.
2. Please let us know if you have a work around for scenario 1.
3. Kindly let us know if the fee is always associated at contract level or we can have at asset level.

Marking posting and document date mandatory in REM backflush.

Hi PP Gurus,
Here the requirement is to make Posting date and Document date in Transaction code MFBF **mandatory* without any default entry*. Right now system is populating Current date as Posting date as well as Document date. We checked user exit XMRM0001 but we don't know the functionalities of function modules available with this User exit. We also checked Screen variants using Transaction code SHD0 but it is not working, we think it is due to Posting date and Document date are already mandatory through program (might be).
What will be possible best solution?

Hi Siva,
The requirement is to remove Posting date and Document date. That is because in this scenario one day latter backflush is there, we mean to say today's production will be confirmed tomorrow.
The thing is we can achieve the same using Manufacturing Date field in MFBF screen and other confirmation screens too if SLED is active for that material in Material master record. But here in this case we are not using the this.
That's why I posted my requirement to forum.
We resolved the issue doing some changes in standard program for object R3TR-FUGR-BARM after getting access key from SAP.

ECM_EBOM AND PBOM_INTEGRATION AREAS

We are implementing ECM, EBOM, PBOM for the customer using SAP ERP.
As i am new to implementation i had earlier posted threads and have got very large useful help from this forum.
Now my doubt is which are the key integration areas of ECM, EBOM, PBOM with other modules and what all the suggestions and carefull steps i need to follow.

First the key integration areas can better be understood and known once you are equipped with basic and fundamental integration concepts in terms of implementation process.
It varies customer to customer in terms of their need and requiremnt of the desired functionalities with respective modules , verticals and new horizons.
second there is no careful steps as such, what you only need to do is to deliver the best of your respective module and key areas suggested and asked by the client during each and every phase with the comprehensive and acceptable outcomes, which i guess is not a day's work.It requires sheer knowledge and understanding of the basic concepts of all the pros and cons of implementation projects.
Suggest you to go though their Blue-print thoroughly to grasp their tentative requirements and at the same time have a look of all the necessary SAP notes meant for an integration concepts.

Function module to read the directory list and also run in background

Hi All,
I need to read few files from a folder in the server and upload the data in the file using a BDC. This process has to happen in the background as I am going to schedule the program. I had used the function module "EPS_GET_DIRECTORY_LISTING" to list the file names, it is working properly but when I schedule the program this function module does not work, the jobs gets finished in 0 secs. I am suspecting that it is not running in back ground. Can any one suggest me the function module which runs in background to read the files or an alternate method.

Sorry, this function module is working properly, why I assumed it is not working is that the background job got completed in 0 secs which made me feel that the function module is not working. Also I am subsequently copying the file to another folder and deleting it from the source folder, actually thiese two functionalities are not working in background. which added to my conclusion that all the function modules are not working in background. I am using two methods to copy and delete files, they are
CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES=>FILE_COPY,
CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES=>FILE_DELETE.
as these are not working in background, now I need to replace them with a method or function module which will run in background.
As I have mentioned earlier, my main objective is to upload the data in the file using a bdc. If I am not able to delete the file in the source folder, then duplicate upload will happen which I have to avoid. So, if someone could help me to find a way to delete the file will be of great help to me.

Use of above function module:
This function module is used to create user ID in the system. It checks whether the user exists already, if yes, then it would send back the message for the same. If it doesnu2019t then it would create the user in system. Assign roles, profiles and authorizations for the user.
For ex: If we have 2 users XXX and YYY in that XXX is existing user and YYY is new user, letu2019s see how this function module will work for these two users
First, it uses BAPI_USER_EXISTENCE_CHECK function module to check whether the ID exists. If it exists(XXX), it would send back the message for the same. If not(YYY), it would go ahead to create the user id by the function module BAPI_USER_CREATE1. After creation of the id, message regarding the same would be sent at the end of execution of function module.
Next it will go for assigning of the roles, generation of profile and authorization to the user ID. Once the function module is finished, it would send out the message for the execution of all functionalities in the output screen.
My Requirement:
what about the internal and DUA (Delegated User Administrator) users is that covered with this function module? if not what changes required to function module?

". I am not sure about the functionalities of these function modules as i have never used it. Can anyone please help me by providing some information abt these FMs. Also i need to do the mapping of parameters of old and new function module. So please provide the details of mapping also. Any pointers on this will be highly appreciated.

you can ckeck the input field "Account Number" whether it is numeric or Alphabet using *"Conversions ->Fixvalues"*
Steps:
1. Extract first character of input using *" Text -> substring"* -- start position 0 , char count 1
2. In Fix Value table you have to give following values:

Module Development for XI3.0 Adapters

Hello,
we are currently trying to develop a xi 3.0 adapter module. Modules are a way to expand the functionalities of a xi adapter, in our cas the file adapter.
Our module should be used to perform a more complex transformation from flat file to xml.
We know, that we have to develop the modul as a stateless session bean, and that we have to implement some modul-interfaces.
What we are missing are some examples, code fragments and some more detailed informations.
Anybody out there, who can help us?

The easiest way to deploy the module is through Netweaver Developer Studio. Alternatively you can go through SDM.
