Functionality of KM documents

Hello All
I need to get some functionality of KM document.
KM document use CONTEXT MENU that allows to reach DETAILS and then I want to get GIVE FEEDBACK and WRITE A REVIEW or one of oter option.
it is possible to get link of them .

Hi Lakshminarayana,
a) There is no waste basket functionality provided in KM until now. There are long time considerations implementing such a functionality, and it is probable, even if I can not guarantee this, that it will come with SPS15. See File backup/restore in KM for further details.
b) You could implement such a functionality, see the link I have given within the forum post linked to above.
c) If you have versioning activated on a CM repository (and also activated within the folders your documents are stored), if the setting "Preserve Version Histories" is activated on the repository, deleting a file preserves the history in the version folder (that is under the system folder for a DB repository or within the versions folder for DBFS or FSDB repositories); see http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/62/468698a8e611d5993600508b6b8b11/frameset.htm

Hi SAP (SD-GURUS),
Actually we create partner functions before creating customer ex: sold to party, ship to party, bill to party, and payer.
These partner functions are going to be copied into sales order while processing sales order.
Again what is the need of creating partner functions for sales document type.

There are some Partners you could enter at Sales ORder Level. E.g. Sales Person, Employee Responsible, Forwarding Agent, Broker, etc.
Thus these partner Determination need to be carried out at Sales Order Level & not at Customer Master level.
So we have to configure partner Determination for various levels e.g. Customer Master, Sales Order, Delivery level etc...

Search by partner function for purchasing documents?

Please could someone advise the steps required to allow me to search via partner function for purchasing documents? The functionality is present in IH08 for PM.

Hi dear,
During defining the partner Schema, please follow the process:
a.Create partner Schema
b.After creation of partner Schema, select your partner Schema and click u201Cpartner roles in schemau201D and you will have next screen
Now for Partner function like VN,OA,PI and GS as you required and select the check box of mandatory
and save.
Now try creating Vendor and you will have Partner function like VN,OA,PI and GS in vendor master.
Note: The following configuration steps for Vendor master are:
1. Create Vendor Account Group.OBD3
2. Maintain Number Ranges from Vendor account Group:XKN1,
3.Assignment of Number ranges to Account Group,OBAS
4.Partner Function: SPRO->MM->Purcahsing->Partner Determination-> partner roles->Permissible partner role sper account group
5.Partner Schema:
SPRO->MM->Purcahsing->Partner Determination->Partner setting in Vendor master record-> Define partner Schema
6.Assgin partner schema to accont Group
SPRO->MM->Purcahsing->Partner Determination->Partner setting in Vendor master record-> Assgin partner schema to account Group.

Can not add function to pages-document created with Applescript

If I create new document using the GUI (New document) I can place the cursor within any table-cell, type "=" (equal sign) and f.e. "2+2" which will result in a cell showing a "4".
If I create a document with Applescript, I can not add new functions (neither by typing = nor by using Insert >> Function (may be different, I have German version here). Already existing functions (which already were in the template) can still be used and work as expected but can not be altered.
Any idea?
I use Pages '08, Version 3.03
Code I used to create the document:

I apologize but the given script can't run.
The variable templateName is undefined.
The variable angebotsNr is undefined too.
About the described behavior, it's a bug which I never discover before.
It's always striking in Pages '09.

Basic Search functionality for KM documents folder without TREX

Hi Knowldge Management Guru's,
I am using default KM content management repository no external repository i have folders and sub folders and documents ( word, html, pdf, excel).I have enabled search button in tool area.
What are the prerequisites to search documents in Content management /documents folder
1. Do we need TREX is it must and mandatory for searching
Does enterprise portal provide basic/default search functionality without integrating TREX or external/third party search engines.
Please provide your inputs

What is the table for partner functions in Billing document

Hello Experts,
As per the business requirement my functional consultant included Fright agent (created as a vendor) in billing document partner functions,
so they want to display the name fright agent on the invoice,
i have checked all the tables related to Billing document, i was unable to find the fright agent
I checked in VBPA table (partner function table) (remaining partner functions are there in vbpa table but fright agent is not there, Is there any function module is available to pick these information ,Please help me in this.

How to use Add Shipments functionality in Shipment document creation

Dear All,
We wanted to use the Add Shipments functionality in the Shipment document creation / change.
We have two different shipment types.
I want to add shipments of one shipment type in to Shipment document of anohter shipment type.
I am not able to do it now as system is saying in the selection log that the shipment types are not same.
Please let me know what are the pre requisite configurations to enable us to add shipments in to another shipment.
Please let me tknow he standard functionality of "Add Shipments option" and how to use it to add shipments in a Shipment

Hi Venkat,
The option "find shipments" is provided to select the shipments to reassign or deassign the deiveries etc in VT01n or VT02n
transaction planning screen. Basically you can play around to assign and reassign the deliveries to different shipments
This option is not creating the shipment within shipment. It is just selection of shipments for planning purposes

Reset Processing Status function for Custom Document does not exist?

Expert,
I have a need to reset Process Status of Custom Document from
"Blocked - Awaiting Reply from Authorities" to previous status. Many times we will receive error messages from US AES and require further processing and resent.
According to help.sap.com documentation, i should be able to find this function through
System Administration. Choose System Monitoring ® Status of Customs Declarations/Shipments.
I don't seem to be able to find this in our GTS 7.20 system. I have SP 009.

ok. I received the answer from SAP. The transaction to reset processing status of custom declaration is
/n/SAPSLL/CDOC_STARES accessible through role Menu /SAPSLL/LEG_SYS_COMM.

DEFINITIONS OF TERMS UNABLE TO FUNCTION IN ALL DOCUMENT OR NOTE.

WHY IS IT THAT THE NEW UPDATE ios7 CANNOT DEFINE WORDS ANYMORE IN THE "NOTE" "KEYNOTE" OR ANY BOOKS YOU WANT. ANYONE EXPERIENCE THIS? HOW CAN I RESTORE THE DEFINITIONS OF TERMS PLEASE.

CDHDR and CDPOS will not be populated with entries only by creating the change document object.Change documents will be written to CDHDR and CDPOS tables only if the function zbudgets_write_document is called in the transaction which updates FMIT.
You need to find an use exit in the transaction updating FMIT and call the function zbudgets_write_document in that exit.

Acrobat Pro Calculating form fields lose functionality after enabling document for Reader

I have a problem that continues to come up increasingly. I thought I had found a work-around on some forums, but it is still causing trouble. Im hoping you can answer the question.
I am creating a form that requires simple calculations (sum and add). I can get these calculations to work just fine. However, as soon as I enable the document for Adobe Reader, the form seems to get amnesia. It loses the ability to calculate. When I go into the fields again to look at them, they still show that they are supposed to calculate, but arent working. I have to clear the calculations and completely reset them all in order to get them to function again, but as soon as I save this enabled doc, it loses its functionality all over again.
Frustrating.
I did find a work-around on a forum, but have only gotten it to work once. It had something to do with closing and saving the document, then reopening it before entering the calculations.
Is there a clear-cut solution to this problem? The forums were rife with people experiencing the same frustrations.

It's fairly straighforward to set up a custom validation script for this, but it might not be immediately obvious how to do it. I'll use your form as an example. In it, you have a number of rows with a Quantity field where the user enters how many items are needed, a Price field that has as its default value the price for the item, and a Total field which is a calculated field and should be the product of the Quantity and Price fields. The only variable in the calculation is the value of the Quantity field, so this will be easy.
The Validate event of a field gets triggered when the field value is committed. This happens when the user enters a value and presses Enter, Tab, clicks outside of the field, etc. What the script should do is take the value the user entered, multiply it by the value that's in the Price field, and set the value of the Total field. The script could look something like:

What you really should do, however, is set up a document-level JavaScript (Advanced > Document Processing > Document JavaScripts...) that contains a function you can call from the QTY field of each row. The function will determine which row should be affected based on the field name that triggers it. Something like:

Than all you have to place as the custom Validate script of each of your QTY fields is the following:
calcTotal();
Also, make sure that you remove any calculations that you've set up on the Calculate tab of each TOTAL field. Now that the total fields do not rely on automatic calculations, it does not matter that the document is missing its field calculation order array, though this bug REALLY needs to be fixed. You should consider reporting it to Adobe. I will report it too.
Note that this code assumes the QTY and PRICE fields are numeric fields, meaning they will either be blank or contain a valid number. You've ensured this by setting up each with a Format category of Number.

The loss of functionality of Compare Documents in Acrobat.

The Compare Documents function in Acrobat 9 is now useless to my department. I am currently a Graphic Designer/ Tech Writer who writes operator manuals and had always used Compare Documents function to find the differences in the documents (mostly textual differences). Then we updated and lost this functionality altogether. Now, the only comparison option allowed is "Scanned Documents," which treats the documents as pictures and only looks for the differences of the over-all page. I would like the old textual comparison function restored. I would have mentioned something sooner, but I was hoping this was just an accident and would be fixed in a future patch

This would be better handled in the Acrobat forum. The compare document works more effectively now that you are given three choice:
You choose if the documents are (a) Reports, spreadsheets, magazine layouts, (b) Presentation decks, drawings, or illustrations, or scanned documents. You are not limited to scanned documents. If that is all you are seeing please repost in the Acrobat Windows or Acrobat Mac forum, report your version of Acrobat, your OS, and perhaps a screen shot of what you are seeing. Note, I get three options as above and I am not restricted to Scanned documents.

Right Click "Get Info"-style function for OPEN Documents

Often I'll open an item (most commonly a Pages doc.) through Spotlight, and not knowing where the item is necessarily filed, not even sure if it's Mac vs. iCloud, I would love a way to bring up the pertinent information on this already open item, the kind of info you could get by Right Clicking the item in Finder (see the problem - I don't know where the file is - also Finder searches seem increasingly useless for some reason.) I've searched through toolbar, right clicking, etc., no joy.
Is there perhaps a "show current document in Finder" function, the way there is for files in iTunes? That would would be great - instant file path view in the window, Right Click Info. one step away.
Hopefully there's a simple answer I've overlooked, or a relatively simple workaround. Or maybe even if if someone has any suggestions for making Finder searches work again - I'm completely stymied by the fact that it seems unable to find just about anything any more. It was never great, but at least until recently I found it reasonably functional. What happened? Links to other threads welcome.
