Functionality of transaction VK16

Hi
Can some one explain the functionality of transaction :VK16-Create Condition with Reference. It will be great if anyone could share associated document of how to use this transaction.
This is an urgent requirement..Awaiting your earliest comments.
Thanks
Banu

Dear Banu,
Through VK16 transaction you can create the condition record for the condition type with the specific condition table.
In the VK11 transaction again you need to select  key combination then you need to maintain but here in the initial screen itself you are giving the condition table so you can able to maintain condition records accordingly.
I hope this will help you,
Regards,
Murali.

  • Sending mail to all partner function in transaction

    Hi Folks,
Standard action and condition sends mail to only main partner function in transaction. But transaction could have more than one partners for same partner function. Can mail be sent to all partners in transaction by using standard action configuration?
    Regards,
    Nikhil

    Hi Nikhil,
You can control this using CRM_ACTION_BADI.
Below the use of this BADI.
In partner-dependent actions, business partners that occur in several functions, only the main partner remains.
This can be useful, for example to avoid sending the same e-mail to the same business partner if there are several action definitions for different partner functions or function types.
However, if several different actions have been defined as partner- dependent, this effect may not be required.
In this case, the CRM_ACTION_BADI standard implementation can be deactivated. In this case, all partners from the transaction are considered during action determination.
If this is also not required, a new implementation can be created.
    Hope this helps.
    Cheers, Satish

  • Query on Functionality of Transaction Category

    Hi Experts,
Can you please explain the functionality of " Transaction category" with reference to Business transactions. For example, while opening the Telesales(TA) in the definition of Transactions, We select TA - Assignment of business transaction categories- here we will find "Sales" and "Business activity" under Transaction category. Kindly let me know what is the functionality of Sales and Business activity at this particular scenario.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Teja

    Hi Teja,
Transaction Category Specifies the leading business context in which a transaction type can be used (for example, service, sales, activity).
    Dependencies
The leading business transaction category is not in a hierarchical relationship to the other business transaction categories assigned to a transaction type. It merely enters a preference. A transaction with the business transaction categories 'sales' and 'business activity' would, for example, be more likely to have 'sales' as a leading business transaction category than 'business activity'. In the locator for transaction processing, a transaction with this transaction type would be displayed as a sales transaction, not as a business activity.
Transaction Category is that Definition for the Transaction Type which defines the Basic Characteristics for the Transaction Type.
Without the assignment of the Transaction Category the Transaction type is not usable.

  • Function u2013 transaction lost where synchronize PFCG and ERM

    Hi Gurus,
Iu2019m working on Access Control Role Management 5.3 and when I synchronize ERM with PFCG I lost the Function u2013 transaction relationship in ERM role. Is It normal? Anybody know if I can recover it? Maybe forcing some table in the ERM DB?

    Hi Luigi,
How you are calling PFCG?? ERM will only know about the changes if you call PFCG from ERM. Then the synchronization button will be visible and you can see all the functions.
Any changes that you directly make in PFCG (from the backend system) without going through ERM is invisible to ERM and those roles & information can't be synced.
If you are following the 2nd option, you may need to seriously look at disabling the PFCG role modification authorizations in the backend system.

  • Give me the functionality of transaction code st01

give me the functionality of transaction code st01

    Hi Ravi,
The tx ST01 give a datailed trace of the underlying system while executing something from sap.
For example what Authorization objects are hit by a user when he performs a tcode or what are the dbtables/sqlstatements etc are run  or what kernel functions are executed .
This somewhat helps in debugging like matters.
One can even set parameters for this by using filters.Suppose u want to trace what authorization objs are hit by a specific user when he executes a specific tcode  got to edit ->filter->shared and enter the user name client no and tcode. So that not all the users are traced but only this specific user for the specific tcode is traced. On analysis u can knaow what authorization objects he hitted on executing the specific tcode.
Try it with the other areas like Db access, Table Buffer, etc and u will get a more clearer picture.

  • Service For Objects functionality (SDV transaction)

    Hello experts,
Some users are getting an authorization error while trying to display an image from t-code FBL1N (services for objects). After identifying the reason of this issue with NSU53, the simple fix is to provide access to the user to transaction SDV. Actually, we are proposing to the security team to provide the access in a Generic role, so all user can get the access.
Their concern is that if for any reason, any of the users runs the t-code directly (SDV), and not through the Services for Objects funtionality, they might be able to access other documents that they should not be allowed. To be honest, I haven't seen this as an issue before in my 13 years working with SAP.
The question for you guys is: what is the best approach to grant access to users from different modules to Services for Objects functionality without violating security policies?
    Thanks,

  • Function and transaction

    Hi
i have procedure with in that i am calling a function .Will this be a single transaction or 2 transaction in oracle ?
    thanks
    Alish

    Hi,
Transaction has nothing to to do function calling or procedure calling. It only depends on COMMIT and ROLLBACK.
From the Oracle docs:A transaction begins with the first executable SQL statement. A transaction ends when it is committed or rolled back, either explicitly with a COMMIT or ROLLBACK statement or implicitly when a DDL statement is issued.
So unless and until there is no COMMIT or ROLLBACK there will be single transaction.

  • CC - Same function, same transaction but with different comb of same obj

    Hi,
I would like to know if it is possible in a same function for a same transaction to get an 'OR' between auth objects
Let say I have function YS01 with transaction ME28, we would like to check the following objects :
    (1) M_BEST_EKG   (ACTVT  01,02,06,75,76 + EKGRP U1, U2)
        AND M_BEST_WRK (ACTVT  01,02,06,75,76 + WERKS 8011)
        AND M_EINK_FRG (FRGGR  39,42,43)
    OR
    (2) M_BEST_EKG   (ACTVT  01,02,06,75,76 + EKGRP U34, U35)
        AND M_BEST_WRK (ACTVT  01,02,06,75,76 + WERKS 8011)
        AND M_EINK_FRG (FRGCO 01,02,03 + FRGGR  69, 73)
If not, is it recommended in the 'Permission' tab of the function YS01 to:
    - maintain 'normally' the auth obj linked to trans ME28 as in (1)
    - and to add  a 'manual' permission with all the concerned objects in (2) + S_TCODE auth object with TCD=ME28 ?
    Thanks in advance

    -(IBAction) setSize:(id)sender {
    UIButton *button = sender;
    NSString *title = button.currentTitle;
    int tag = button.tag;

  • Update function modules/transaction service?

Is it possible to use the transaction service (if_os_transaction and if_os_transaction_manager) to bundle updates in the same way as using update function modules?

    Hello!
    if I execute these step:
    TRANSACTION_BEGIN
    do processing of BAPI(1)...
    do processing commit bapi(1)
do processing of BAPI(2) connected to BAPI(1)
    if something wrong
    TRANSACTION_abrot
    else.
    TRANSACTION_END

  • Masterdata functionality in transaction data

    Hello guys,
does SAP provides kind of guidline/matrix for the influence of wbs masterdata ? (influence of wbs' business area in PR, PO, down payment request and so on.. ) .
    can anybody share a link/sap note ?
    thanks guys,
    Laimonas

    thanks for reply Ahmed,
so let's discus my issue in more detail :).
I know what the wbs is.  I know what it can do. I simply need to have a "matrix"  of asignment "meanings of life" .
for example -  AUC will be created against resp.cost center.
Planning element (if unasigned) will not allow CO planning.
Company code - PO and PR cannot be made in other than that CC
and so on. I need kind of user-friendly informative manual with all the issues like this.
SAP must have something on that. Whether it is note, or ASAP section, or building block or whatever...

  • Minimising standard functionality of transaction IW32

    Hello Guys,
I have a requirement in which I need to go to IW32 with a Order number, then we need to press enter and then click on button "WC Application". Here one pop up comes which says "List contains no data", then we click on button create. There Program (subscreen) SAPLWCFA, screen number 8300 will open, then click on "Operational WCD's", here again the pop up comes which says "List contains no data. Again click on Create button , now Program (subscreen) SAPLWCFY, screen number 8300 will open.
Here I have a requirement, say we went to IW32 with the order and clicked on "WC Application", enhancement will check if there is no data in the list then it needs to go directly the last screen i.e. Program (subscreen) SAPLWCFY, screen number 8300, where user will enter data manually.
I tried to find the exits/Badi's but didn't found anything interesting which will work with this requirement.
I would appreciate if you please try it if its working, and if yes then with which exit/Badi.
    Thanks,
    Harjeet

I think you must create a copy of IW32 ( I am not wrong in SAP lingo they say repair) for example ZIW32. And add a button relevant gui status. (I have been looking Gui status of IW32 it is have more status. you must find true status)
If you want change original source don't forget this a patch can change your code.

  • Whats the use of PARTNER FUNCTIONS node in NACE transaction

    hello
i would like to know when a output type is selected as medium EDI or ALE what needs to be entered in the PARTNER FUNCTIONS node and what is the main purpose of this node. Pls help
    ~Suresh

    Hi Suresh,
    Partner Functions Uses
You use partner functions in transactions, in all areas of partner processing and in some areas of business partner master data.
    ·        For example, you have a real estate business and define the function tenant to refer to your customers.
    ·        Tenant is then displayed in the header and Partner tab page in transactions, and on the Buying Center tab page, when relevant.
    ·        It appears in the Customizing settings for access sequences, partner determination procedures and partner teams
    ·        It appears in business partner master data when you assign partners to partner functions as part of maintaining sales area-specific data, and when you enter excluded partner functions.
    Nace Transaction
The Tcode NACE is used to link the Standard SAP forms (SCRIPTFORM or SMARTFORM) or the customized form or the new form to its respective print programs. Also the output types, Form entry are linked with their forms and print programs. In short term, i can tell u that configuration or customization of forms to print programs, assigning output types, form entry to the forms are done using this Tcode.
NACE is used to create output type while creating the output type you will mention forms, and driver program.
that will be maintained in the table TNAPR.if you create the output type using NACE then it will be automatically visible in table NAST and TNAPR.
so check in NAST, TNAPR table
    Reward if useful.
    Thankyou,
    Regards.

  • What are the Mandatory Fields in Transaction ME51

    Hello Seniors,
I have a requirement about purchase order creation. In this process, I am using the BAPI named   " BAPI_PO_CREATE1 ". I have passed all the fields but when I debug and look into the internal tables, I couldn't find certain records. I even debugged " bapiret2"  and I see an error which reads "" All mandatory fields are missing"". I have even created a PO  in ME51 and found out the mandatory fields but in vain. BAPIRET2 still says, there are some more mandatory fields missing. I need to know what are all the mandatory fields to create a Purchase order using TCODE - ME51.
Your reply is most awaited and rewarded.
    Thanks and Regards,
    MARKIV

    hi ,
    Functionality
Function module BAPI_PO_CREATE1 enables you to create purchase orders. The BAPI uses the technology behind the Enjoy purchase order transaction ( ME21N).
Alternatively, the IDoc type PORDCR1 is available. The data from this IDoc automatically populates the interface parameters of the function module BAPI_PO_CREATE1.
    Functionality in Detail
    Authorization
The following authorization objects are checked when an Enjoy purchase order is created (activity 01):
    M_BEST_BSA (document type in PO)
    M_BEST_EKG (purchasing group in PO)
    M_BEST_EKO (purchasing organization in PO)
    M_BEST_WRK (plant in PO)
Controlling adoption of field values via X bar
For most tables, you can determine via your own parameters in the associated X bar in each case (e.g. PoItemX) whether fields are to be set initial, values inserted via the interface, or default values adopted (e.g. from Customizing or master records) (for example, it is not mandatory to adopt the material group from an underlying purchase requisition - you can change it with the BAPI).
    Transfer
    Header data
The header data of the Enjoy purchase order is transferred in the table PoHeader.
    Item data
The item data of the Enjoy purchase order is stored in the table PoItem (general item data). The delivery schedule lines are stored in the table PoSchedule.
Use the table PoAccount to specify the account assignment information. If account assignments have been specified for services and limits, you show the relevant account assignment line in PoAccount in the table PoSrvAccessValues via the package number of the service or the limit.
    Services and limits
Services, free limits and limits with contract reference can be specified in the tables PoServices, PoLimits, and PoContractLimits.
    Conditions
Conditions are transferred in the table PoCond; header conditions in the table PoCondHeader. Price determination is reinitiated via the parameter CALCTYPE in the table PoItem.
    Vendor and delivery address
The vendor's address can be specified individually in the table PoAddrVendor; the delivery address in the table PoAddrDelivery. If you do not make any individual specification, the fields will be populated via the central address managementfacility.
    Note
In this method, the following restrictions apply with regard to addresses:
Addresses can only be created with this method - they cannot be changed. You can only change address data with the method BAPI_ADDRESSORG_CHANGE.
When you create addresses, they are not checked by the method. An Enjoy purchase order may therefore contain faulty address data.
    Partner roles
The partners can be maintained individually via the table PoPartner (with the exception of the partner role "vendor").
    Import/export data
Import/Export data can be specified per item in the table PoExpImpItem. Foreign trade data can only be transferred as default data for new items.
    Texts
Header and item texts can be transferred in the tables PoTextHeader and PoTextItem. Texts for services are imported in the table PoServicesText.
    Version Management
You can make use of the Version Management facility via the table AllVersions.
    Return
The PO number is returned in the parameter ExpPurchaseOrder. In addition, all information except the service and export/import tables is placed in the output structures.
    Return messages
Messages are returned in the parameter Return. This also contains information as to whether interface data has been wrongly or probably wrongly (heuristical interface check) populated. If a PO has been successfully created, the PO number is also placed in the return table with the appropriate message.

Help in the Case of Problems
    1. Note 197958 lists answers to frequently asked questions (FAQs). (Note 499626 contains answers to FAQs relating to External Services Management.)
    2. If you have detected an error in the function of a BAPI, kindly create a reproducible example in the test data directory in the Function Builder (transaction code SE37). Note 375886 tells you how to do this.
    3. If the problem persists, please create a Customer Problem Message for the componente MM-PUR-PO-BAPI, and document the reproducible example where necessary.
    Customer Enhancements
The following user exits (function modules) are available for the BAPI BAPI_PO_CREATE1:
    EXIT_SAPL2012_001 (at start of BAPI)
    EXIT_SAPL2012_003 (at end of BAPI)
The following user exits (function modules) are available for the BAPI BAPI BAPI_PO_CHANGE:
    EXIT_SAPL2012_002 (at start of BAPI)
    EXIT_SAPL2012_004 (at end of BAPI)
These exits belong to the enhancement SAPL2012 (see also transaction codes SMOD and CMOD).
There is also the option of populating customer-specific fields for header, item, or account assignment data via the parameter EXTENSIONIN.
    Further information
    1. Note 197958 contains up-to-date information on the purchase order BAPIs.
    2. If you test the BAPIs BAPI_PO_CREATE1 or BAPI_PO_CHANGE in the Function Builder (transaction code SE37), no database updates will be carried out. If you need this function, please take a look at Note 420646.
    3. The BAPI BAPI_PO_GETDETAIL serves to read the details of a purchase order. The BAPI cannot read all details (e.g. conditions). However, you can use the BAPI BAPI_PO_CHANGE for this purpose if only the document number is populated and the initiator has change authorizations for purchase orders.
    4. Frequently used BAPIs for purchase orders are BAPI_PO_CREATE, BAPI_PO_CREATE1, BAPI_PO_CHANGE, BAPI_PO_GETDETAIL, BAPI_PO_GETITEMS, BAPI_PO_GETITEMSREL, and BAPI_PO_GETRELINFO.
    5. For more information on purchase orders, refer to the SAP library (under MM Purchasing -> Purchase Orders) or the Help for the Enjoy Purchase Order, or choose the path Tools -> ABAP Workbench -> Overview -> BAPI Explorer from the SAP menu.
