Functions Key like forms 6i in 10g

Hi, i want to set the key functions F7= enter query, f8=execute-query in forms 10g like forms 6i. I don´t like F11 and ctrl-f11

Hi,
You can change the key mappings by changing the file fmrweb.res in the *<dev_suite_home>\forms* directory. If you want to change all the key settings as in 6i, then make a copy of the fmrweb.res file for a saftey and rename the file fmrpcweb.res as fmrweb.res.

Changing functionality of Function Keys in forms 10g

Dear users....One of the big difficulties users facing in my 10g forms applications is that its Function Keys have totally changed like that of Enter-Query or Execute-Query. In forms 6i user was habitual of working with F-7 & F-8 for this purpose but in 10g its quite different. Can u tell me that how can I match the functionality of these Function Keys in 10g to that of Forms-6i???

Hey Arun...I've read urs recommended post, I wish to give u 10 pts if u give me the answer for this question too ;) Can I use my newly created fmrweb.res in my own application? I mean other users should keep on using the default fmrweb.res file but I should use the file compatible with 6i shortcut keys. Is there any configuration for this in formsweb.conf file?

I didn't give attention or did any R&D on it because I thought for us main challange is to make ERP work on web first.

Trying to use function keys (like windows) on apple wireless keyboard for ipad, as well as arrow keys.

I am connecting to my work PC through my ipad. My main program i use for work is a DAS based (ancient, i know.) Anyways, i have to be able to use function keys, i can touch the screen so if i can not it isn't the end of the world. But it would make things MUCH more easier. Is there a way to program the F1-F12 keys on the wireless keyboard to use like windows, rather than the brightness/volume/play buttons.
Also, my arrow keys don't seem to work right. If i am using notepad, they don't work, unless i have entered down 6 lines, the arrows will work as far as those 6 lines, but won't go down on there own. If i am on the internet and there is a drop down menu, the arrow keys don't work either. As well as in my work program, they don't work at all, it's as if the arrow keys don't register.
Help?!

Just added information. In my work program, i can use the onscreen keyboard (but it takes up half the screen so i can not see what i am doing. From that keyboard, and can toggle back and forth from the regular keyboard, the FN screen for function keys, and the CTRL keyboard. This is why i am confused as to why the function keys and arrows will not work on the wireless, yet they have the keyboard on the screen.

Redirecting function keys in forms 6i

Hi guys, The default value to show a LOV in 6i is 'F9'. If anyone need to redirect it to 'F1' only write a trigger in form level. Open a trigger 'KEY_HELP' and add 'list_values'. Then it will work.Bye.

that is a method, which redirects the hotkey, but this is not the prefered way to do it !
After that you have two hotkeys for listvalues. F1 and F9.
And the default F1 (help) is lost in that case...

Diabling function key f1..f10 in forms run time

How to Diable the function keys F1 to F10 in the forms run time,
Bcoz as we are aware that f7 enter query, f8 execute query,
f10 accept, So i dont want the users to go thru this functions,
The main reason is to avoid this is, For List of values we are
pressing f9 but some users are pressing f10 blindly, so that its getting
problem, tell me how to disable the f10 function key in form run time.

Hi, I tried the key_others procedure and added a message too. But it works fine on hitting f10, does not let user commit the form. But it does not go thru the save button as I have a trigger and conditions to check before commiting. Please reply if you can think of a solution. thanks

Function keys & shortcut keys in ADF

Hello All,
I am new to adf i am trying to enable keyboard shortcuts and functions keys like (f1= help etc) in adf. Can anyone help me in this regards.
Also Just like Oracle forms having function keys (f1,f2,f3 etc for commit, clear, submit) I am having a jspx page and i want to enable those shortcuts in that page. How to achieve it?

I have checked those links before but that is not exactly what I am looking for. I am searching in context with Oracle forms as in oracle forms you have commit on F2 or clear all on F3(say), I want to implement those in ADF. I am having a jspx page in which i have added some input texts and submit button now i want to implement a function key which will (clear all) the data from the input field in runtime. or any other function key which will invoke the submit button and commit the request.

Function Keys in RF Device

Hi All,
I wanted to know is their a way to process a screen in a RF Screen all LMxx Transaction or any ZLMxx transaction to call a Function code with out user hitting any function key , like F1 ..F9, It should be based on the last item field entered on the RF screen, It should automatically call the Function Code.
Would that be possible ???

Satellite P870-335 - Function key actions not visible

I have a P870-335 in which I placed a SSD disk and installed Windows 8 Pro (now 8.1) and was able to get most devices working with the drivers that I found by the Toshiba autodetect program.
However one of the items still missing is that I can not see/control the functions that are on the Function keys, (like swichting Bluetooth/Wireless). I know from my previous Toshiba laptop that at the moment I press the Fn key I see a OSD that show me the options and the status of them.
I cant find which software I have to install in order to restore this functionality. Somebody got a hint/link for me?
Assume that this software is also available for Windows 8(.1) Pro?

I already had found that option because I would like to use directly the standard F1/F12 functions and not the special functions (as default setting by Toshiba). When I want to change for example brightness I now press Fn+ F2 (brightness down) or Fn + F3 (brightness up).
The Fn+ F12 key nicely toggles the WiFi on or Off. I now understand that the way Toshiba displays this is not the same as with Windows 7?
However I still have difficulties on how to switch on/off Bluetooth, that in my memory was done using the same functionkey (+Fn) ? I can't get it on.
I there someone who can tell me? At the moment I only see 2 states when toggling with Fn+ F12, WiFi on or WiFi off.

Additional laptop function keys and KDE

Hello everybody. If I install all KDE packages with:
sudo pacman -S kde
I got native support for all my laptop function keys (like volume control, mute, etc...) with also graphic icons showing up when I choose a function. Of course I also get a ton of other software which I don't need. Sadly to say, installing only kde-base (which of course is the way I want to proceed in order to fully configure my system only with what I need) doesn't provide this functionality. I spent some time looking at all KDE packages with:
pacman -Ss kde | less
to find out the one I need, without success. Has anyone any idea about the packages I may need to install? Thank you.

Function keys on workitem

Hi all,
I have a User decision step in workflow. when workflow is triggered, I want to provide function keys like 'View remarks' and 'Add remarks' on the workitem display screen so that if user rejects, he can put comments and these comments can be seen in transaction screen. Is there any way to ahieve it. please provide solution. I heard about the tab -> 'Workitem display tab' in user decision step. Is it the right approach.

I want to send some commands though socket . I would like to know how to send the functional key codes . I have to send the commands that are in bytes or strings which contains functional keys (like F1 or F4) .

Toshiba Laptop Function Keys not working

Hi: I have a Toshiba Satellite C55-A laptop. It is a year old, and it came with Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 1. I recently upgraded to Windows 10, but then after a week I decided to downgrade back to Windows 7 for personal reasons. My function keys (like the brightness up and down, volume up and down, mute, wifi, play music etc.) worked before and worked in Windows 10, but for some reason when I downgraded back to Windows 7 most of them have stopped working properly. When I press the keys what I get is the function of the actuall F1-12 key (e.g. full screen, search, refresh) and not the brightness, volume etc. The special functions only works when I have to press the FN key at the same time, which is kind of troublesome. I also no longer get the useful notification in the corner of my screen when I press the buttons of, for example, what level (4/8 for example) of brightness I'm at or what level of volume I'm at. Solutions I have tried / checked:-I have checked in All Programs > Toshiba > Tools and Utilities > HWSetup > Keyboard, and the setting for Function Keys mode is correctly set to "Special function mode". But it still doesn't work.-I've installed Toshiba Value Added Package.-Function Keys is enabled in Flash Cards. Is there anyway I can get them back to a working state, because they were really useful before, without having to factory reset my laptop? Thanks, Tiffany
