Fund management- PM derivation
Hi sap gurus,
I want to derive commitment item automatically in Plant maintenance order. Also these field should be compulsory there. I am not able to found these filed in normal layout configuration.
Please help its urgent.

Hi,
For driving you try fmderive cost center to commitment item. I hope cost center to work center is having relationship that will be able to run this derivation.
For fields go to omjj. fm fileds are in enjoy transactions.

Funds Management-Derive Fund centre from Cost Centre
Dear Guru
In funds management -Derive Fund centre from Cost Centre" i used to have 8000 entries till yesterday. So there were 8000 combinations of fund center with cost center.
Somehow I can only see 80 today. Somebody might have deleted those.
Is there any change log availble to see who deleted and when?

I see... Deletion is not logged there, I'm afraid; only modifications on existing entries. Unless, you have specifically defined log status for the relevant FM table, which I doubt. I believe, no one would delete 8000 records just for laugh. Most probable, the entries were deleted with a transport request.
One more reason to follow my advice and maintain the link in a different manner.

Error while settlement of WBS - Funds Management
Hi,
We have maintain derivation rule as - WBS to Fund Center. This Fund center is DUMMY because we need not want to control WBS through Funds Management.
There is always one Cost center in each WBS. while settling this WBS we are getting error as -

PSM-FM-Reversal of funds management document after change in acc.assignment
Good day we recently went live with a component of Funds Management i.e. Availability Control on Cost centers and cost elements. We update BCS with the plan values and actual/commitment items in Finance/CO. We do our planning in CO.
The solution is working reasonably well but we have encountered a problem for which we are unable to find a solution. The problem is best illustrated with an example;
1. Create purchase requisition with Account Assignment Category "K" = Cost Center with transaction ME51N
2. Account assignment = cost center and cost element. A funds management document is created upon saving of the transaction.
3. Purchase Req. is released with a release strategy (transaction ME54N)
4. After purchase requisition release the account assignment for the cost element is changed by the user. This occurs sometimes during the execution of the business process.
5. When a purchase order is created with reference to this purchase requisition with transaction ME59N the system references the original funds management document which means when the account assignment was changed the funds management document was not reversed and a new funds management document created for the changed account assignment.
6. The BUDCON report transaction FMRP_RW_BUDCON thus displays the commitment under the incorrect commitment item as the change in account assignment is not reflected in Funds Management. We have a one to one relationship between cost elements/commitment items and cost centers/funds centers as per the derivation strategy.
My question is;
Is this normal standard SAP standard behavior or are we missing some configuration that will enable the creation of a new funds management document and if so where do we configure such? I must mention our solution is completely SAP standard.

I think u should do an entire test with TRACE on, and u will find the problem, and how to fix it (at FMDERIVE of course).
First: Have a look at note [666322|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/666322], go to FMDERIVE and turn ON the trace.
Then, run all the process ... from ME51N to the end...
I agree with Eli, u must allow overwriting of existing values at FMDERIVE rule...

Commitment Item in SD Billing document (Fund Managment) ECC6
Hi,
We are upgrading from 4.6C to ECC6 and have activated Fund Managment (EA-PS).
At the time of carrying out the Billing in SD we are getting a error that no commitment item available for gl account but if I use the same revenue account and create a FI invoice (FB70) then the CI is getting derived thru the derivation rules (Rule:CI from Cost Element).
I would like to know why the CI is not getting derived during Billing in SD module.

I have maintained a derivation Rule:CI from Cost Element, so that the CI will derive from this derivation rule.
As mentioned if I use same revenue account and create a FI invoice then the CI is derived as per the derivation rules but while carrying out the SD billing then the error comes.

GL account linkage with activity group for AVC- Funds management
Hi,
I have activated (BCS) funds management in my system. My client wants that system will give error message for some expense GL accounts and for other expense GL accounts it will only give information message.
For that i have created new activity group for AVC but i have no idea how we can link GL accounts with activity group for AVC.
Request immediate help.

The correct way to deal with this is not with activity groups, but with tolerance profiles. Create tolerance profiles with error and warning messages accordingly and then create a tolerance derivation strategy, which on the basis of commitment item, will derive the relevant profile.

Fund Management - Issues in Upgrade from 4.6C to ECC6
Hello,
We are upgrading SAP Application for a client who is on 4.6C to ECC6. The client is currently using Funds Management in 4.6C. With ECC6 I understand that this functionality is moved into Public Sector and is available only on activation of IS-PS Extension Set.
The question I have is that does this activation impact any other business processes or is just a technical activation.
What I mean is that if I activate this extension set does the system start doing things differently and needs specific data related to Public Sector which the business users will be required to be entered while doing transactions OR the activation will not impact business processes as such and would work as earlier with Funds management active. (except where there was a change in the functionality between 4.6C to ECC6)
I would like to know the risks, if any involved in upgrading Funds Management from 4.6C to ECC6.
Please reply and let me know any question to get more clarity on the issue.

There are several main issues that have to be addresses when upgrading from 4.6 to ECC6. The main ones are:
1 - Derivations. The object are no longer connected through tables or master data entries (you may have a table that links Cost Centers to Funds Centers for example). These assignments are now maintained through a flexible derivation tool. These derivation rules have to be maintaind, or the posting addresses will have no FM values and you will not be able to post any documents.
2 - Inventory purchases. The inventory purchases scenarios are no longer maintained through the customization (you can no longer choose one of the 4 inventory scenarios, and there's no warehouse Funds Center). These are all maintained through derivations.
3 - BCS. There's a new budgeting and AVC tool called "Budget Control System" (BCS). You can either activate it, or keep working with the old budgeting (called "former" in the customization). The new BCS affords flexibility in budgeting and AVC, including several AVC ledgers.

SAP ECC6 IDES Activating Funds Managment

I have an issue. When i want to activate the Funds Management for the company code 1000 ( AA Derivation and Update control), the system comes up with the message "Read only access" error message no. SV044. This transaction comes up in Display only.
Then how to activate Funds Management for the company code.

Funds Management related error while creating Purchase Requisition
Hi,
Am working in ECC6.0 system with Funds Management integration. While creating PR am getting below mentioned error
"At least one GL account was not derived by the budgetary ledger
Message no. FI_E034"
Diagnosis
You are using the Funds Management system integrated with the budgetary ledger (BL) active for FM area .
Postings into the budgetary ledger require a GL account for each of the budgetary ledger line items. However,
in this case, at least one of the line items in the BL interface table does not contain a GL account.

Can someone help me on how to maintain details of funds managed by fund managers (external agencies) by investing in many types of financial instruments (securities, money market, derivatives, etc.). At the month-end we will get a report about all the investments made, their base value, market value, etc., based on which we need to calculate fair value gain/loss as well as impairment loss/gain, if any.
Here all the funds are managed by fund managers and accounting part is taken care by custodian bank. Is there any way to upload/maintain such data in SAP Treasury (Transaction Manager) based on an excel sheet.
Can you please guide me which thread is answering queries/clarifications related to SAP FSCM Treasury & Risk Manager / SAP CFM Treasury & Risk Manager.
Really not getting any answere when I am posting it on ERP financials thread.

Thanks for your reply. We are implementing Treasury modlue and am aware of required configuration for various financial instruments in transaction manager.
- Client is managing some investments on their own for which we are doing required configuration and standard procedure for transaction & position management will be followed.
- Apart from funds managed on their own, external fund managers (multiple) are dealing with financial instruments based on investment mandate given by client and sending monthly reports on investments made, their values, expenses, transaction details, etc., being sent to client in the form of spread sheet.
- Client will also receive a statement from Custodian Bank with details of investments made by each fund manager.
Please clarify on the following:
- As per your reply there are standard BAPIs available for importing transactions to SAP. Fund Managers are investing in various type of financial instruments (securities, money market, forex, etc.) in various currencies.
- To import the investment details using BAPI do I need to make configuration settings for each type of financial instrument.
- The purpose is to arrive at fair value gain/loss and sum up expenses based on reports (spread sheets) received fund managers and pass journal entries.
- There is a requirement for preparation of disclosure reports on various investments based on these details received from custodian bank.
- Reconciliation of reports received from Custodian bank and fund managers.

Authorization restriction in Funds Management
Hi all,
We have a requirement from the client to restrict budget execution in Funds management.
Business case: A user from a particular organization/agency should be able to transfer funds within his organization and should be restricted from using other agency funds.
We are planning to use authorization groups while defining the FM master data (funds, fund centers, funded programs). Later, we use these authorization groups while creating derived roles (organization/agency specific). So when the user performs activity in FMBB, he will get an authorization error if he tries to use funds that he is not authorized for.
As there could be 1000s of fund centers, maintaining them using authorization groups could be cumbersome.
I would like to know if any of you have implemented security in FM using fund center groups/ hierachy structure instead of using authorization groups.

I can understand your concerning about the number of funds center but in the authorization roles you will use ONLY the authorization groups not each fund center, so the maintenance will be easier.
You will not maintain each fund center in the rule, but if necessary the creation of a new authorization group or deletion of one. Because the change of one authorization group (which means more or less fund centers) will be done in master data, in the authorization part will be ok already.
The principal object will be F_FICA_FSG which is the authorization group for the funds center, so I am not sure what do you mean about maintenance, because if defined as per the business process, it will not change so much because it will be in the group level not in fund center.
Thinking about your question:
"If we follow an intelligent naming standards for fund centers and determine the hierchacal structure, can we use the fund center/fund names directly in auth objects instead of using authorization groups?"
Create authorization objects with funds center directly not using authorization groups, I did this many times in previous releases (from 3.0F to 4.0B) when I implement PSM-FM and I think that authorization groups will reduce the maintenance in an important way. The most huge maintenance is doing in this way that you are thinking about use funds center directly.
For example, if you have ?.000 funds center grouped in ?00 authorization groups and of course some of the users will have more than one authorization group and one rule will have more than one authorization group right? This will be for sure a number lower than the quantity of funds center.
Be aware that I am focusing only in authorization regarding FMBB like you mentioned in the beginning. This means authorizations to manage budget in the company, nothing else.
Therefore, it will be not so much different roles with authorizations. I am quite sure that your customer will not allow a great number of users to increase/decrease budget. You should consider this too in your analysis.
You will need to create roles in PFCG for your authorizations and of course each role will have a combination of authorization objects (reports, master data, budgeting postings, actual and commitment postings). This is a matrix that needs to be detailed and clarified with the customer needs.

In case of internal order, we give create internal order first then we give budget amount in KO22.
Similarly, where we have to give budget amount in case of funds management. I have given fund, commitment item and fund center in FB60. But budget check was not done. entry was posted.

Funds Management is activated in your company when:
1 - You have activated Funds Management functionality (Enterprise Extension EA-PS is activated in transaction code SFW5
2 - and flags "Account Assignment Derivation" and/or "Activate Update in Funds Management" are activated in customizing path PSM -> Funds Management Government -> Actual and Commitment Update/Integration -> Activate/Deactivate Funds Management").
The checkbox 'Update' should be marked for your company code

This Standard Report in the Funds Management FMRP_3FMB4004 does not show the Assigned Values & Balance amounts. I have already carried out the reconstruction of budget values. In spite of this, I'm not able to get the values in the column "Assigned Values" & Balance budget Value" in the above report.

If you can't see it, you need to ensure that you activated it. The first step is the activation of the SAP R/3 Extension Set in the Implementation Guide. You must have the proper authorization to maintain this table (cross-client maintenance).

In this table, make sure the flag IS-PS is active. Without this setting, you will not see the PSM menus or Customizing trees.
In case you do not see the menu or IMG path for Public Sector Management after the activation, please check in transaction SCPR20,
in SCPR20 you have to choose EA-PS-IMG and then to activate it (button 'Activate BC set' on the panel or F7). Then check IMG and if no impact, then check for the error messages in SCPR20:

We are implementing Funds Management module with BCS as budgetary tool. We have a requirement like this. At the time of PR or PO for AUC, budget need to be checked, whereas at the time of settlement of this AUC to a fixed Asset there should not be any budget check
Kindly let me know whether, this scenario can be mapped in SAP using Funds Management Module
