Funky changes in itunes when I went from ipod mini to video ipod
I had an ipod mini. Just got a video ipod. Ever since I got the video ipod and hooked it up to my computer for the first time, when I play music in itunes, it will only play the song that I click on, it won't play subsequent songs and if I click on the >> button, it won't go to the next song. I have to physically click on the next song. Yes, I made sure that repeat all was selected in controls. Does anyone know what is up?

The following steps work well with iPod but i would try them for help with your iPad issue:
Try connecting your iPad to another USB port directly on the computer. Verify that you're connecting it to a high-powered USB 2.0 port on your computer to be sure iPad is getting power. If you're connecting to a Windows laptop computer through USB, connect the laptop to a power outlet before connecting your iPad. Also, see iPod not recognized when connected to Windows laptop over USB to be sure that your USB ports are supplying enough power.
Avoid connecting to an external USB hub. If a hub must be used, make sure the hub is USB 2.0, and that it has its own power supply. Also, make sure the hub is connected to a high-power USB 2.0 port on your computer.
If the issue persists, try disconnecting other USB devices from the computer such as printers, cameras, scanners, external hard drives, and USB hubs to determine if there is a conflict in the USB chain. -
I have an ipod shuffle 4, my playlist is in alphabetical order on my itunes, when I go to add it to my ipod it puts it into order of "date added", under "View" i can change it, but when I sync it, it immediately reverts back?!!
Yeah - not really. Sorry - but you will need to get it fixed so you can back it up. You are going to want to Restore your new iPhone from that backup when you get it, so it will really be worth it.
As soon as you get your new iPhone, set up automatic iCloud backups, or if you don't have Wifi, then it is really important to get into the habit of backing your device up weekly to iTunes.

But then agin you have the source code (.java files) open all java files in the oracle.forms froject and alter to your language then recompile and reacreate the jar (easily done with Jdeveloper) -

I downloaded songs on itunes, when I go to sync it to my ipod it "says" its syncing and then it shows up on the capacity bar but there are no songs on my ipod
In itune did you play any of the songs downloaded. If so plug your ipod back in an manualy check off to sync all music. If that doesn't work you might have to restore the ipod.

IPad/iTunes syncing issue - went from 25 free GB to 4 GB
when syncing both my iPad 2 and iPad mini (both 64 GB) both went from 25 free GB to 4 GB. The "other" category is 22 GBs. How do I free up the space and/or determine what's in the "other" category taking up so much space?
It seems like double the size of the app is needed to install it on the device.

What exactly happens when you try to sync?
Was the iPod previous synced to another iTunes library/computer?
Have you successfully synced from this iTunes library/computer before?
If so have you done anything like update iTunes on the computer since it last successfully synced?
Do the songs play in iTunes?
Does any media now sync to the iPod?
Do you have the right boxes checked to sync?

Itunes sound stops working after 20 mins on videos bought from iTunes store.
On every video i've bought from the iTunes store the sound cuts out after approx 20 mins. I'm on windows 8.0 (completely up-to-date with all drivers up-to-date too) with the latest iTunes (11.1.3.8) and Quicktime (with enhancements switched off). PC is a quad core i7 with 16GB of memory with windows running on an SSD and my iTunes content on another internal HD (not an SSD). iTunes library is approx 24000 songs and 30 videos. i'm watching on a full HD monitor with external speakers and the PC is authorised to play iTunes content.
I've worked my way through all the iTunes support items around video chopping (which was happening too - now fixed) and audio issues but nothing helps e.g. I've switched off iTunes match and home sharing, switched off any audio enhancements in iTunes and my sound card (which is a Via chipset on my motherboard), switched the bit rate to 16 bit/44.1k on windows and itunes, uninstalled and re-installed iTunes etc, etc.
I did have an Apple TV on my network but I've disconnected it in case the sound was being routed to it after a period of time. This hasn't made any difference.
Has anyone had this issue and managed to fix it?
ThanksMyself as well, have been having this same problem, around 20 minutes into any movie I open up in my itunes library, the sound stops playing. I have yet to find any fix for the problem, although I have a thought that it is probably something to do with the buffering. My songs play just fine, all day long, but any movie only plays for 20 minutes and then the sound goes out. Additionally, I had another issue that kept popping up an error message everytime I tried to open Itunes, this was finally fixed via copy paste a corruptted (spelling) .dll file. The only "workaround" for this issue, that I have found, is to open the movie in QuickTime, even though I am not really excited about the QuickTime player. If anyone finds a better solution, please drop a line. thank you in advance.

I have a Mac Mini and a 2ed gen Apple TV , when I stream from the mac to the Apple TV the video jerks and some time frezes, I have checked the WiFi and the Internet all are strong, streaming from my Iphone and Ipad are great. what am i doing wrong
...or it could be caused by Apple crap. I'm having the same problem. On a WIRED connection from my MacMini to an Apple TV. The network runs fine with my Windows laptop and iPad. Video streams nicely from my iPad on WiFi, but lots of jerkiness when I watch a movie from my MacMini via Apple TV, regardless of whether I'm on WiFi or wired.
Doesn't take much to work out that the problem is with the MacMini and/or Yosemite. I'm also having problems with my Internet connection slowing or cutting out intermittently, so I wonder if they're connected. -
ITunes freezes when trying to add songs to 30GB video iPod
Here's my situation exactly:
I just bought a 30GB Video iPod with some songs and videos already uploaded onto it. After much reading, I found out how to get the songs from the iPod onto my computer so I could put them into my iTunes library. I added some songs and videos of my own to my iTunes library and tried to update my iPod. The iTunes program says do not disconnect-- updating iPod but my iPod doesn't say anything. The funny thing is that the actual iPod says do not disconnect until I open iTunes and try updating it, then the do not disconnect msg goes away on the iPod. I left my computer on for about 12+ hours straight while iTunes said Do not disconnect.. woke up the next morning and iTunes was frozen-- no new songs on the iPod. What could the issue be exactly? I have slight issues with my usb ports-- for example; sometimes they do not recognize things plugged into them (memory sticks, printers)... BUT it does recognize my iPod-- it shows up in my computer as a removeable disk drive or something, plus as soon as I plug it in the iPod says do not disconnect. I definitely need help though... I'm dying to put some songs of my own on this thing.
Things I have tried so far:
Deleting and installing iTunes and everything else again
Restarting computer and iPod-- of course
Tried plugging it into diff. usb ports
HP Pavilion Windows XPI'm assuming the usb hardware problem may be a good possibility because I've always had problems with my usb ports. I can't get a printer to work or those Scandisk things. My assumption is perhaps u can take files from things plugged into the usb ports but you can't add files/etc to things plugged into the usb ports. I will still attempt what you told me to do. I just don't want to lose what I currently have on my iPod and be stuck with a blank iPod because I use it quite often. Maybe a new computer should be my next purchase? Thanks so much!

ITunes 9.1 on early 2009 mini w/160gb ipod classic can't sync
Having all kinds of problems syncing from iTunes to the iPod. At first I was getting the error saying it couldn't read or write to the iPod. Now it's saying unknown error (-50).
Went to Apple store yesterday. Guy there said Their solution? Delete itunes and download and reinstall. So I did. No change in problem. Now they want me to bring my ipod AND my mac into the store (at least it's a mini).
This is ridiculous and utterly unacceptable! Especially if this turns out to be the result of Apple's screwing with Palm as was suggested on another thread.
I'm going to try an old version of iTunes, I found 8.2 for mac and will see if that fixes things.Have wasted untold hours since Friday on this. Am totally disgusted right now!
Have been trying to sync my itunes library with my ipod. Hasn't been synced for a while so there are a lot of things to update. That failed, so I restored to original (downloading and updating the firmware, wiping the ipod to factory and starting over) and it still failed.
Have moved files from the external hard drive to the internal hard drive (this is a mac mini). Still fails.
Tried a powered USB hub - still fails.
Tried manually copying files to the ipod - still fails, though because it's manual I am able to more easily control what gets copied, when, etc. and recovering a little less painful, but it's all manual at that point, and it still regularly times out with errors.
Tried iTunes 8.2 - still fails.
Yesterday I visited the Apple store and the guy said my ipod classic was pristine, and not making any abnormal noises or indicating any other signs of problems. He said to drag the iTunes app to the trash and download and reinstall iTunes. Still fails.
He said the only thing left would be to bring my Mac in and make another appointment. So after spending the entire morning trying to get this to work I finally begrudgingly make an appointment for when I thought I'd be able to come in. And then started a backup (clone) of my drive (just to be safe!). As it grew time to leave, the backup was still running, so I rescheduled the appointment.
The backup was STILL going, so I rescheduled again. And of course it was STILL going, so I tried yet again! The concierge page said 2:20, 2:40, 2:50, (4-6 times in the afternoon and 9 in the evening, for iPod visits) were available. I selected what I thought was reasonable (about an hour 20 minutes later - because now I had to come up with lunch for my daughter, I had planned on stopping on the way in to the store) and was told I was not allowed to have any more times today.
No worries, I figured I'd call the store directly. After sitting on hold for who knows how long (no big deal, at least it told me how long I was in the queue and that was tolerable) the guy says there's no more times available today, they are all booked up. SO - they are all booked up? 13+ appointments all went poof in less than 10 minutes? On a Sunday? Really? I mean, maybe they did, but it sure seems odd given what I was seeing throughout the day.
All because the backup was taking longer than normal, no doubt because of all the futzing around I did trying to get things to work. Normally the backup takes about 45 minutes - it's been going 90 minutes now and is still going. And just so I could bring the computer in with the iPod so they could see "Yup, it's not working!" I don't know what I expected - I seriously doubt they could do anything I've not already tried.
There are only two possible issues that I have not been able to isolate - the mac mini itself or the cable I'm using. That's why I was even willing to go through all this hassle and go to the store.
Fortunately 90%+ of my library are MP3s and not AAC, so I'm not locked in (Amazon has some great specials on MP3 albums) - and to think, I had been planning on getting a 64gb ipod touch. Not any more! -
IPod Mini failed with iPod Updater 2005-06-26 & iTunes 4.9
Has anyone experienced iPod mini first generation failing completely (running low on batteries) after installing the iPod Updater 2005-06-26 & iTunes 4.9?
My iPod mini showed "Low battery sign please recharge" after being fully charged shortly after I installed the latest updater and iTunes 4.9. My iPod mini would show low battery status after playing 5 minutes or less. After several attempts to reinstall the latest update and iTunes software, I resolved the issue by reverting back to the original iPod Updater 2004-04-28 and iTunes 4.5. Now my iPod functions as before with the expected battery life.Yeah, I didn't download it for that reason. I like my itunes the way they are. My iPod didn't work with the other one. So, I restored it. I don't plan to change my iTunes until i know for sure the new one is fool proof.

Under the "Devices" tab on the left side of the iTunes window you should see your iPod. Click on it and you should be able to find your iTunes Library.
You can pick the entire library to sync just selected items. Videos can also ba added to your iTunes Library and can be loaded onto the iPod. To remove an item just remove the check mark next to it in iTunes.
