Funky non or non working control key

I'm on my second Apple Wireless Keyboard. This is the older one with the numbers on it A1016. The first one needed to be retired because issues and some from the function of the control key.
On my second used one its like new and I cleaned it well but the control key is the only non functioning key. I even took it apart and cleaned the clear sheets with the sensors but that didn't help. Is this a known issue? Or is there a fix beyond getting a new keyboard?

There is no known issue that I am aware of.....

  • None of the keys are working

    My 8830 seem to be locked out... Tried all keyboard combinations (* + Send, Alt + Enter, Held 'A') even taking battery out... None of the keys (and buttons) work, just the track ball... I even have to plug and unplug power cable to turn the screen on... Please advise... Thanks

    I've had a simular situation where the trackball wasn't working. I'd be interested to see how your issue is resolved.

  • Configuring IPIB with non-default partition key

    Hello
    I want to put IB HCA port into non-default partition to create separate network on my IB fabric. On IB switch (Voltaire ISR9096) I created network with non-default partition key 0x7ffe and add HCA port to this partition.
    But this IB-VPPA was displayed as unconfigured on Solaris host

    Configure the device: /devices/ib:fabric::3BA0001004182,fffe,ipib
    This operation will suspend activity on the IB device
    Continue (yes/no)? yes
    cfgadm: Hardware specific failure: configure operation failed ap_id: /devices/ib:fabric::3BA0001004182,fffe,ipibI unconfigured VPPA with default partition key (0xffff) on HCA port 0x3BA0001004182 and issued cfgadm for VPPA with pkey 0xfffe again - the same effect.
    I tried this on Solaris 10 8/07 and OpenSolaris b72 with the same result - no success ;)
    Is it possible to configure VPPA with non-default pkey on Solaris ?
    Is it possible to configure more than 1 IPIB VPPA on single HCA port ?
    How to perform these configurations ?
    Thanks in advance.

    hi
    I was able to setup the listener to serve both databases using netmgr, thanks. Apparently I was trying to use the wrong tool for this previously.
    Now i'm able to access the EM Database Control and it seems to be working fine though i get the following error message
    Logged in As SYS
    Error
    java.lang.Exception: Number of responses does not match queries
    Database Instance: devel.foo.bar
    Now, i'd like to be able to use EM for administering two separate databases (running on the same host). Do i need to migrate the database control somehow to grid control? How do i do that?
    What about security? I'd like to use SSL and limit connections to selected clients only.

  • Control keys of latest apple wireless keyboard don't work on iPhone 4

    Hello;
    I just brought the latest apple wireless keyboard(2011) and I tried the control keys(briteness, music control, volume control) none of them worked on my iPhone 4(ios 4.3.5), but those shortcuts like: cmd+a, cmd+c...worked very well, I don't know what's wrong with this and I think those control keys are very useful, I'm planning to replace my old Lenovo laptop with my new accessory, who can give me a hand please!!! Thank you!

    A number of folks have reported that the newest Apple BT keyboard, designed for use with Mac OS X Lion has this issue. Unfortunately the new KB has the same model number as the one for Snow Leopard. The way to tell them apart is the F4 key, on the Snow Leopard KB it has the Dashboard icon. I would try to find an Apple retailer with the Snow Leopard KB in stock and exchange your KB for one of them. The Snow Leopard KBs work great with the iPad, with all applicable function keys operating.

  • Defining Working Times - Incorrect Scheduling Result for non-Working Date

    Hi All,
    We are on SAP R/3 46C and in the process of implementing 'Route Schedules' for our outbound delivery processing.
    One of the pre-requisite customising requirements for 'Route Schedules' is to maintain 'Working Times' for the Shipping Point for precise scheduling.
    We have defined a 24 hour shift between Monday and Friday in the 'Working Times' config (IMG -> Logistics Execution -> Shipping -> Basic Shipping Functions -> Scheduling -> Delivery Scheduling and Transportation Scheduling -> Maintain Working Hours).
    The 24 hour shift is defined as follows Start: 00:00:00 with a Finish at 24:00:00 (We initially had 23:59:59, however, encountered problems with this config).  We have also maintained a 24 hour Pick/Pack time in Customising, and we do not use Loading Times.
    We have encountered a problem when we key a Sales Order Item where the ATP confirmed qty Delivery Date results in a Material Availability Date on a 'Friday', in this scenario, the system determines a one day 'Loading Time' which falls on a Saturday at 00:00:00.  This outcome is incorrect on two levels - 1) we do not use 'Loading Times' in our system, 2) a non-working day (Saturday) has been selected.  An important exception to this outcome - if a Route is not selected for the Sales Order item, the outcome described above does not eventuate.
    Any assistance in explaing possible causes of this unusual result would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance,
    Ravelle
    When we display our time streams via report 'ZZTSTRDISP' (OSS Note 169885)
    The system shows our 24:00:00 Finish time is converted to 00:00:00 which incorrectly rolls into the next day - on a Friday this means our shift finishes on a Saturday at 00:00:00

  • IPhoto quit unexpectedly. Tried different solutions, none worked. Any suggestions?

    Hello,
       I have a 2012 non-retina Macbook Pro running OSX 10.8.4 and iPhoto '11 version 9.4.3.
    My iPhoto was running fine until about a month ago. And just last week when I tried opening it, I got the "iPhoto quit unexpectedly" message. Since then I have tried many solutions as suggested in the forum but none worked for me. Here are the list of things I tried.
    1. Tried reopening.
    2. Tried to create a new library, but it wouldn't let me create one.
    3. Tried holding the cmd + option keys while opening iPhoto had no effect.
    4. Tried downloading iPhoto Library Manager and rebuilding. It didn't work.
    5. Tried running in safe mode. It didn't work.
    6. Tried logging in using Guest account. It didn't work.
    7. Tried completely uninstalling iPhoto (including system files and hidden files) and reinstalling. Still didn't work.
    8. Tried restoring iPhoto from my Time machine backup from a month ago. No luck.
    All these solutions I tried resulted in the same "iPhoto quit unexpectedly" message.
    Could somebody please help me out? If you need further information please ask me.
    Thank you.

    3. Tried holding the cmd + option keys while opening iPhoto had no effect.
    What options did you run from the iPhoto Fix window?
    2. Tried to create a new library, but it wouldn't let me create one.
    Try the following:
    1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
         User/Home/Library/ Preferences folder.
    2 - delete iPhoto's cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your
    User/Home/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder (Snow Leopard and Earlier).
    or with Lion and Mt. Lion from the User/Library/Containers/com.apple.iPhoto/
    Data/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder
    3 - launch iPhoto and try again.
    NOTE 1: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding down the Option key when launching iPhoto.  You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.
    NOTE 2:  In Lion and Mountain Lion the Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and hit the Enter button - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.

  • Dependent Requirements are falling on Non Working Day

    Hi,
    I have my dependent requirements for my ROH material on 15.05.2011 which is a Sunday, Non Working in my Factory Calendar. How is this possible?
    Details are as follows.
    ROH A MRP type PD is required for FER B MRP Type X0
    ROH for FER as per system reqmtn fall on 15.05.2010 which is Sunday. What is wrong in my settings.

    Nilesh,
    Prasobh has already suggested what you should be investigating. Your finished goods Planned order was (presumably) not generated in ERP.  Dependent requirements come from the Planned order.
    The Planned order for FER is being generated in an external system (presumably APO, yes?).  The start date for this order, and therefore the dependent requirements, are generated somewhere other than ERP.  Unless you schedule/reschedule this planned order in ERP, the date generated in the external system will be the date that drives the dependent requirements for the lower level.  Regardless of any factory calendars.
    I don't know what your external system is. However, before you investigate there, there is one more topic that the other experts haven't asked you, and that is the BOM of your FER material.  Look at the BOM for the parent part that is driving your dependent requirement.  Look at the details of the item that contains the component that is giving you heartburn.  Entries in Lead time offset, Operation LT offset, Distribution key, and Special procurement can have an impact on the dependent requirement date.
    If APO is in fact your external system, you should be aware that virtually all of the items mentioned by JH and other experts should be flawlessly replicated in APO, and they have influence over the scheduling of the start dates of the FGs planned orders.  In addition, the same items in ERP can also have an impact if you have set up scheduling (re-scheduling) in ERP.
    If you are using APO, I suggest a few things to check:
    Transactional Consistency between APO and ERP, and especially any blocked queues
    Resource in APO.  Does it match the ERP info?
    PPM or PDS.  Does it match your BOM and Routing info?
    Factory calendars in APO.  Do they match the ERP calendar?
    Any Calendar timestreams in APO.  Are they up to date?
    Also, if you are using APO for your FGs, you might want to post this question in one of the APO forums instead of a PP forum.
    Best Regards,

  • FocusLost event/navigatedOutColumn to non-DACF controls

    In the textAreaControl source I see:
    // Focus Listener implementation
    * This method is an implementaion side effect
    public void focusLost(FocusEvent event)
    When I do a focus lost event off the property panel in Designer... and add code to simply do a System.out.println("Focus Lost") on the control... nothing happens when I move to another control and the textareacontrol lost focus.
    The correct approach seems to be use the NavigatedOutColumn event which does fire. ( hurrah! )...
    BUT.... as I had a suspicion... if I enter into a DACF control, and then click in a NON-DACF control ( in this case, a secondary plain jtextfield password confirmation field )... neither FocusLost nor NavigatedOutColumn fires.
    It sorta makes sense, because we haven't navigated into a new Column. ( Is this a terminology conflict/level mix problem? It seems to be relating Column to a rowSetInfo AttributeInfo / EO/VO attribute?
    Note that, at least in my case, there are PLENTY of non DACF controls. Particularly JButtons.
    As mentioned before, I avoided ButtonControls because I had no DataItemName to associate with 'em... which seemed to cause grief in other places ( in my memory using 3.O ). I actually went back and changed all the ButtonControls I had to JButtons.
    This puts me into a rather interesting quandary... or is it safe in 3.2/JRE1.3 to use ButtonControls with no property set for the DataItemName()?
    TIA

    You are being tripped up by two things. One is a bug and the other is a difference between the 3.2 and 9i (aka 5.0) versions of the NavigationManager. The ComponentNavigationMonitor is OK though. Both of these can be worked around using the ComponentNavigationManager though the resultant code will not be compatible with the code released in the next version of JDeveloper. The solution is to rewrite the focusGained() method and write the new method _applyEdits(). The rewritten and new methods are below in a new version of the class. Notice the package name change; it is now in a new package called oracle.dacf.unsupported. This way, you can just change the package name when the next version is released:
    <code>
    // oracle/dacf/unsupported/ComponentNavigationMonitor.java
    // Oracle JDeveloper
    // Copyright (c) 2001 by Oracle Corporation
    // All rights reserved.
    package oracle.dacf.unsupported;
    // imports
    import java.awt.Component;
    import java.awt.event.FocusAdapter;
    import java.awt.event.FocusEvent;
    import java.awt.event.FocusListener;
    import javax.swing.SwingUtilities;
    import oracle.dacf.control.ApplyEditsListener;
    import oracle.dacf.control.ApplyEditsValidationException;
    import oracle.dacf.control.Control;
    import oracle.dacf.control.NavigationManager;
    ** The ComponentNavigationMonitor allows a Component, AWT or Swing,
    ** to be used in an application and still have the DAC navigation and
    ** validation event framework generate the proper events at the
    ** appropriate times. Normally, non-Control components can not
    ** participate in the DAC navigation and validation event framework
    ** because they don't have the mechanisms to notify the framework that
    ** the focus has moved.
    ** This class is implemented as a singleton and could be hooked into every
    ** non-Control Component that is displayed on the screen. It should not be
    ** attached to DAC Controls because these classes already contain the
    ** functionality contained in this class. Attaching this class to a DAC
    ** Control will minimally result in double navigation and validation
    ** eventing with the resultant performance degradation. Redundant
    ** navigation and validation could also result in anomalous application
    ** behavior.
    ** The DAC design-time and runtime framework does not automatically
    ** register non-Controls with the ComponentNavigationMonitor because of
    ** the ambiguity surrounding when this should be done. If the components
    ** are constructed using a Factory design pattern, then the factory would
    ** be the optimal place to attach this listener. If your application
    ** doesn't use this approach then you will have to individually hook each
    ** component. (Sorry, but there is no way around this fact.) You might
    ** try something like what the following code fragment illustrates in the
    ** method that instantiates the component:
    ** <blockquote>
    ** <code>
    ** TextField dateWidget =
    ** new TextField((new Date()).toLocaleString());
    ** ComponentNavigationMonitor.observe(dateWidget);
    ** </code>
    ** </blockquote>
    ** For example, if JDeveloper was used to generate code, via either the
    ** DAC wizards or the visual designer, then you would place this code in
    ** the jbInit() method of the panel or frame.
    ** @author Donald King
    public class ComponentNavigationMonitor
    extends FocusAdapter
    private NavigationManager nm;

  • Lync 2013 call forwarding (working and non-working scenario)

    Hi guys!
    We are trying to solve a non-working scenario in Lync 2013 voip calling.
    SCENARIO 1 that does not work:
    Person A with a mobile phone calls Person B who's telephone number is not located on Lync SIP TRUNK. Person B answers the call and then he wishes to transfer this call to Person C. He call Person C until he hears call ringing tone from him
    and then he transfer this call to him. When Person C answer the call he does not hear Person A and call get's disconnected after cca. 20seconds.
    SCENARIO 2 that does work:
    Person A with a mobile phone calls Person B who's telephone number is not located on Lync SIP TRUNK. Person B wishes to transfer this call to Person C who's number is located on Lync SIP trunk. In this scenario he first wait that Person C
    answer/accept his call, then he transfer call from Person A to him. This way Person C is able to hear Person A.
    Anyway how to figure it out if this is a problem on provider side or on Lync 2013 server side?
    with best regards,
    bostjanc

    Refer support wasn't set to none.
    If we change it to none, and restart Mediation service, unfortunatelly there are no differences.
    We have also tried editing: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Lync Server 2013\Mediation Server\MediationServerSvc.exe.config
    FROM:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    <configuration>
      <runtime>
        <generatePublisherEvidence enabled="false"/>
      </runtime>
    </configuration>
    TO:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    <configuration>
    <appSettings>
                    <add key="20.20.20.20.ReferredBySupported" value="true"/>
        </appSettings>
      <runtime>
        <generatePublisherEvidence enabled="false"/>
      </runtime>
    </configuration>
    But that didn't do anything useful.

    when i click on a link on a website it opens a new non working white page on (MAC) when i know the link works

    It sounds like your computer may be infected with some sort of a virus / Malware.
    I suggest the following resources:
    [[Is my Firefox problem a result of malware |Is my Firefox problem a Result of Malware]] is a Mozilla Support article with some good tips on avoiding and fighting malware.
    To double check your system is clean, do the following (Not official Mozilla advice, just good practice from personal experience)
    Download and Install MalwareBytes Anti-Malware, run a full Scan. [http://www.malwarebytes.org/ http://www.malwarebytes.org/]
    Download and Run TDSSKiller [http://support.kaspersky.com/faq/?qid=208283363 http://support.kaspersky.com/faq/?qid=208283363]
    Download and Install Microsoft Security Essentials [http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/products/security-essentials http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/products/security-essentials] (not an official endorsement, but I personally recommend MSE as an awesome permanent anti-virus)
    Double check for all Windows Updates.
    Also, I noticed you have the coupon printer installed. I would go to Start, Control Panel, then programs and features and uninstall the coupon Printer from inside there. It can cause some problems with Firefox.
    If you are still having problems with Malware after that, I would recommend either [http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/virus-removal/ http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/virus-removal/], or having your computer cleaned by a professional.

  • Media controls keys does not work on iTunes?

    My keyboard has those "Media Controls Keys" on it (just like Play or Stop etc.) but it won't work with iTunes, unless iTunes is on the front of all windows. I used to use Windows Media Player and it can work with the Media Controls Keys even the player is minimised. Are there any ways simply changing settings with iTunes and solve the problem?

    Hello,
    I don't have a W541 myself, but here are a few things to check, in no particular order:
    Have you checked with your IT department?  Maybe they set a poilicy to disable the card reader.
    Is the card reader correctly enabled in the UEFI firmware?
    Have you run ThinkVantage System Update and Microsoft Update to confirm all of the various Lenovo and Microsoft updates are installed?
    Do you still have the OS image the device originally shipped with?  If so, does the card reader work under that?

  • Control key (^) combined shortcuts does not work on mac book pro

    All shortcut combinations with the control key (^) do not work. I´m using Mac Book Pro 13 (late 2013) with Os X Mavericks 10.9.4

    The Logic Board is the Main system board. In the Windows world better known as the Motherboard. Except with Apple Mac computers the CPU and the GPU are Soldered to the logic board and if it is a Retina screen model the RAM is also Soldered to it.
    So replacing the Logic board is like replacing the compete system and costs accordingly.
