Funnel Chart Settings

We are having trouble finding a lot of documentation around configuring the Funnel chart. Specifcally, we would like to know if there's an option to be able to place the lengend title on the actual Funnel layer. Also, we would like to be able to control the order of the funnel layers to match a business process order from top to bottom. It would appear that the Funnel defaults to aphabetical ordering of the layers
Does anyone know how to tweak those, or know of a good reference for the options available?

You can change the sort order by going into the grouping options. You will need to return a number in your query that determines what the order is in the business process. To overly the legend title on the chart area, you can see all the positioning options in the property grid. You can choose to dock the legend on the inside of the chart area, but you can also use custom positioning.

Help with funnel charts

hi -- I'm building a report that incorporates several funnel charts. I'll try to explain:
I have a row of 5 funnel charts. Each one represents the amount of water in the same reservoir. One is
the total capacity of the reservoir (a "full" funnel) and the rest are the amounts of water owned by different
entities (water users). The goal is to have each owner's funnel be proportionate in size to the "total
capacity" funnel. And I'm accomplishing this using database views that do some calculations. There are 2 different data values displayed in each funnel: one is the amount of water the owner has stored (always presented as some color) and the other is the difference between the total capacity and the owner's storage (so, a remainder). The remainder is displayed in white (and ordered such that it's displayed on the top ring of the funnel). All data labels are white, and they are displayed on the funnel rings. So the funnel showing the owner's chunk of water is always proportionate to the "total capacity" funnel, because only the colored storage shows up. (I wish I could include a picture of this.... )
All of this works, with one problem. Sometimes the owner's storage values are so small that the funnel ring is not really visible, and the value isn't legible. What I'd like to be able to do in this case is display a minimum funnel ring size (eg if the value is less than 10% of the total capacity), but have the value displayed accurately. I could go over all the ideas I've had (none of which will work) about how to handle this. The only possibility I can think of is charts/images one on top of the other, one being surpressed, one not, depending on the value. Royal pain, given there are about 20 funnel charts in this report. But it doesn't seem like (and really, I wouldn't expect there to be) the level of flexibility in conditionally formatting and displaying data in the bucket charts that I'd need to accomplish this.

found a solution myself, using conditional display of images and values when the funnel ring is too small to see the value...

I have 8 charts coming from 8 differents query.
I want to apply the same charts settings in the same time.
I need to click on each charts and readjust all he settings.

So i need to turn it into table change the measure and dimension and turn it back into charts.

Funnel Chart - Using 'Target talue for final stage only'

On the Funnel Chart, what does the 'Target value for final stage only' checkbox do?
The help screen says: Indicates whether the target value should appear for each stage or for the final stage only.
What does that mean? And what do the values across the top of the funnel chart represent when that box is checked?

When I display a funnel chart without that box checked, the values across the top of the chart look right. My Stage is set to Month, and there are 12 stages. My Actual is YTD Sales. My Target is Annual Sales Budget. Each of the numbers across the top of the chart show percentages that are "correct", starting with 6.4% in January, 13.3% in February, and so forth. A very understandable progression and accumulation of YTD vs Annual Budget.
If I check the 'Target value for final stage only' box, the values shown across the top of the funnal change dramatically, as shown here in the 'Final Only' column.

Web Application Designer Chart settings disappear when WAD is opened again

Hi experts,
i am bulding a dashboard with several speedos and other kind of charts with WAD 7.0.
When i save my Webtemplate and re-open it again - all my chart settings of the Speedos are gone - all of them are only a few pixels in size then and unreadable. After setting all parameters back to the desired values and saving it again. I can execute the Webtemplate and its is showed as it should be.
But when i close the WT and open it again - the game starts from the beginning and i have to set all parameters again.
Any Ideas?

How can I create a sales funnel chart?

I would like to create a sales funnel chart. I know in excel there is a pyramid chart type. I can buy funnel charts for keynote but I want to use Numbers.

Can you just stack some triangles on top of each other with text in them?

Conditional display of value in funnel chart

hi - I'm wondering if there's a way to turn off display of a single value in a bucket chart depending on
the value of the "on change of" data value. So, just like you can change the color of the area depending
on the value of the change or display value, I'd like to be able to specify "don't display this funnel value when
this condition is true".
I'm not seeing... but am hoping there is!

How to save chart settings to file

How can I easily save the whole settings of a chart (not the chart data) to a file?
The solution should also work with an executable.
Saving every property isn´t really handable.

Good morning, 2ev!
The way to do this is with Property nodes. If you right click on the chart and select create property node, you will get a pulldown menu on the wiring diagram. Select the parameters you want (be sure to choose READ all) and then direct them to a file. A simple file generation script should be all you need to do this automatically. Look at the attached example....you will want to select your own parameters to save. Good luck!

Although this is a Flex based chart on the website it is not an Xcelsius dashboard so this formatting cannot be done.

OBIEE 11g Pie Chart Settings /Axis titles

Hi,
In OBIEE 11g, it is not possible to change the Axis titles in a pie chart.
Does anyone know how to change it in the xml file?
Any feedback is highly appreciated.

Graph Chart settings

Dear people,
I have a chart in my code, I need to set beginning time externally ( I read it from a sting ). I need to set the first Chart Plotting point to this time , The samples/sec is also read from a txt file and has to be set extra.
When code finishes running , I have plotted 2 hours, and I can roll back or forward with a scroll bar.when I roll it backward or forward the time on the leftest part should change with the actual seconds added on it. Pls see the pictures.
Any help will be tremendously appreciated.

As mentioned in the other thread, you should NOT use a chart, but a plain waveform graph. Since all your data is available when the FOR loop starts, it does not make sense to chart it point-by -point, just graph the entire arrays in one operation.
All you need to set is offset and multiplier for the x-axis. You can do this programmatically with a single property node containing both items.

Funnel chart data presentation issue

ADF Experts,
I have a DVT Funnel graph and it is displaying the actuals against the target in percentage like 21.34% . Is it possible to round it off to the closest integer (21% in this case) ? Also the actuals and the target vales come as a tool tip, is it possible to display that value by default in the funnel ?

Chart XML country settings on WAD

Hi all,
just a couple of questions about charts on WAD:
- Where can i change the country configuration for charts ?, i need to change the format from 1,000 to 1.000.
I've hear about a XML related to the chart settings but i can't find it.
- i'm using a data table for the X axis on the graph, one of the data series is a % value and it needs to be represented with the "%" symbol. Can i change the number format for just one serie.

The paremeter for number format is the language, according to the language is taken , or . as the thousand sepparator. The XML tag for the setting is this one:

Having custom text for 'Actual' and 'Target' in Funne chart

Hi,
We see 'Actual' and 'Target' label values in funnel chart when we hover the mouse on the chart.
But i need to change the text to custom text for SINGLE graph. I dont want to chnage any xml or config files, I need this change in single report only.

Templates for charts and other objects

Hi, new to this group, and a newbie to Macs, too.
When I do my own presentations, not relying on the templates of Keynote, I notice that when I insert a chart or any object, it looks so, what's the word? so bland and even unattractive.
So kindly allow me three questions:
First, how do I access the nice-looking charts and objects of the Keynote templates without having to open one up and cutting and pasting them on my presentation?
Second, where do I find the textures that the chart templates use for background? In which folder are they stored?
And third, which is, I suppose, a frequent plea, where can one find other templates? The ones available on the Internet aren't as well-composed as the bundled ones.

1. You can't, the chart settings are built into each theme, there's no way to get them without opening a theme. One thing you COULD do though, is make a bunch of cool charts, and copy and paste them into a "holding" file that you open when you need it. Then you won't have to constantly make an empty file, create a table and copy and paste it. The other alternative, especially if you like one particular style and will likely use it most of the time, is to lock in the table style to your own file once you've used it on your own slide once. You can find that function under the Advanced menu.
2. They aren't stored in a folder. With Keynote 1, Apple did provide you with a .key file that had chips of color or texture in it, but now they don't. You could create your own by making a bunch of objects, and then using the Copy Style functions in Keynote to copy the style of say, a colored bar in a chart, onto say, a square you just made in your new file.
As for the templates found on the web being not as well composed as the Apple one's, I beg to differ. Have you seen Keynotepro or keynotethemepark? My stuff (Keynoteuser.com) isn't as snazzy or artistic (though I think it's more usefull in most cases for the business world than many of the Apple templates) the stuff the other sites are doing is up there in quality to Apple's. Keynotepro especially is churning out stuff that in my opinion is better than Apple's.
