FUP policy

Can some1 please help me.
I upgraded to BT Infinity at the start of August after having been a Total Broadband option 3 customer for nearly 3 years, it was always my understanding having been told by BT fair usage dept ( which no longer exists) that a fair usage cap was only placed on your line after exceeding the usage allowance 2 months in a row, my usage on Infinity had not gone over the usage allowance until last month and now a cap is on my line.
I am seeking clarification to see if the same terms and conditions for the FUP apply to Infinity or are they different.
Any help would be appreciated.

The FUP is on a month by month basis. The cap lasts for 30 but in the meantime if you go over during these 30 it will stay inplace until you stay under the FUP (300gb per month on option 3 BB and option 2 Infinity)

  • Usage Policy Login Agreement

I'm trying to figure out how to force users to click on OK to agree to a computer usage policy when logging into out Tiger and Snow Leopard Macs.  This is not available, unfortunately, through Workgroup Manager for these versions of OS X.  I've looked for a script but haven't been having much luck.
Can anyone offer a suggestion on how to do this with 10.4 and 10.6?  I know it works with Lion.

The FUP is now unlimited (as of late April 2011). Before that it was 300GB but it is truly unlimited.
There is traffic shaping in place and P2P has a very low priority compared to other traffic. Do a search on the forums and people report 3-4Kb downloads. Outside 4pm-midnight and weekends, the traffic shaping is supposed to be less harsh, but different people report different results.
If you are a heavy P2P user it might not be for you. If you are a console gamer, heavy web user or like to watch a lot of catch-up tv, then I can heartily recommend it.

Is the Fair Usage Policy still 300gb?
The reason I ask is that I've just checked and I'm at 294gb up until 23:59 on the 27th yet I haven't received any speed restriction warning emails this month when you usually get a mail at 240gb.

    Hi everyone
Yes, this is true! BT Total Broadband and BT Infinity customers will benefit from the removal of Fair Usage Policy (FUP) controls when they begin to be removed from April 2011. Once removed, heavy user customers will be able to download/stream as much as they wish without having their speeds restricted.
BT will remove the FUP controls currently applied to customers with ‘atypical’ usage. Today atypical users are restricted at 300GB usage and account for less than 0.5% of the BT customer base. BT will not target any individuals with restrictions based on usage levels. However, we still have traffic management policies that will restrict certain applications / protocols, such as P2P, when the network is busy.
As BT continues to invest in the network and network bandwidth we can now remove these restrictions and ensure the experience of the wider customer base.
(Note that charges will still apply for going over limits on BT Total Broadband Options 1&2 and BT Infinity Option 1 but traffic will not be managed.)
    Thx

    Hi.
Can you tweet BTCare to ask when it was actually done ? It might also be worth asking if they inform the forum team, since they were the first to give details about the usage monitor problems in Jan/Feb.

  • World unlimited rate FUP?

I'm not yet  subscribe to any package? But i interested in unlimited world package.
i do read about skype fair usage policy and i wonder how much minutes do they limit?
( I mean i understand its unlimited but it stated in FUP that if too much skype call made will consider as legitimate use. In some old version FUP they written quite cleared how they consider legitimate use sometimes 5,000 minutes, sometimes 10,000 minutes)
Normally, i called around 1,800 - 2,000 minute per month. For my individual business
Will this make me  be a Legitimate Use
    How do they consider
Unusual calling patterns inconsistent with normal, individual subscription use, for example, regular calls of short duration or calls to multiple numbers in a short period of time.

  • Have BT Updated their FUP?

Hi guys, I've just checked out the FUP page on the BT website: Click Here
"BT continuously monitors network performance and reduces the speed available to very heavy users (typically less than 1 per cent of all customers) during a given month to ensure that the service received by other customers is not impacted through extremely heavy usage by a minority of people.
Customers who are classified as very heavy users will experience significantly reduced speed at peak times (typically 5pm-midnight every day but these times may change depending on the demand on the network) for a period of 30 days, or for as long as very heavy use continues. This applies to customers on all Options.
BT Total Broadband Option 3 and BT Infinity Option 2 allow unlimited downloads and uploads within the monthly rental price, so customers on these products will not be charged for over-use. However, this does not preclude BT from reducing your speed if you are a heavy user in order to protect the experience for the rest of our customers.
We may need to vary the policy from time to time to ensure the best possible experience for all our customers. This site will always be kept up to date with the latest information."
Does this mean that we can download as much as we like now out of peak times or does the "BT continuously monitors network performance and reduces the speed available to very heavy users (typically less than 1 per cent of all customers) during a given month to ensure that the service received by other customers is not impacted through extremely heavy usage by a minority of people." Contradict that?

It reads to me that all usage is measured, but that restrictions for heavy users are only put in place during peak hours. Just like it's always said, I think.

I am aware that it was 300GB, what I am looking for clarification on is whether the FUP has totally been removed for my package, as I have read somewhere that it was removed in April? • [OIM 9.1.0.2] Access Policy being evaluated to an OIM user disabled.

    Hi Gurus,
I have an Access Policy being evaluated and provisioning resource (AD) to an OIM user disabled.
Any tip on what I should take a look?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi all,
I have configured out the XL.EvaluateMembershipForInactiveUser System Property as TRUE, but the membership rule does not get evaluated for disabled users. So the user still remain into the group. I have restarted the OIM.
I need to active the Evaluate User Policies schedule task for this configuration be effective. Or should I do something more?
    Thanks a lot.

  • Error while saving a policy retention

I've created a SP 2010 workflow with SharePoint Designer. That way I could link it to a specific content type. Via a retention policy I'd like to start the workflow on a certain date. When I go and save the policy, I get an error. Just the standard "sorry
something went wrong" and then a correlation ID (b8c8bd49c-6065-1000-8024-235758e9b95e).
The problem is, I can't search in the logs, because it's a SharePoint Online environment. Anyone any idea what could've gone wrong?

Without seeing the retention policy that you're setting, it's hard to say. Perhaps provide a screenshot of the stages that you're configuring?
Otherwise you'll need to raise a call with Microsoft through your office 365 admin portal.

  • The Group Policy Client service failed the sign-in The universal unique identifier (UUID) type is not supported

    Hi guys,
we created a custom WIM Image (Windows 8 Enterprise) with MDT 2012.
Sysprept the Image, Deployed via SCCM 2012 SP1.
Computers are Domainjoined. Error with standard Domain User.
On some computers (not every computer) and not with every user on the first logon following error message arises:
The Group Policy Client service failed the sign-in The universal unique identifier (UUID) type is not supported
It works, when you log in a second time but this error isn't very nice.
Is there a solution for that?
    Kind Regards
    Martin

    Hi,
The service is responsible for applying settings configured by administrators for the computer and users through the Group Policy component. This issue can be caused by various reasons based on the computer environment.
Can you find any information in event log about this issue?
Here is the related blog in which the steps can solve most of such issues if the issue continuously happen.

  • Non English caracters in Policy Server invitation mail

Letters that are not in the English alphabet do not come out as they should when invitation and confirmation mails are sent from Adobe Policy Server.
In my case the Norwegian letters Æ Ø Å are not showing correct. But I'm guessing this goes for all other non eng. letters.
    Example Š= å
I have installed Adobe Policy Server (automatic install) with JBOSS/Tomcat and use the IIS smtp server. Does anyone know where I have to do changes to get things correct?
    Regards
    Michael Sletvold

    Hello Chris
Thank you for pointing me in the right direction. However I can not get it to work. It said utf8 and not utf-8 in the jboss-run.bat so I have tired both entries in the run.bat file (one at a time):
    run.bat
    set JAVA_OPTS=%JAVA_OPTS% -Xms128m -Xmx512m -Dfile.encoding=utf-8
    set JAVA_OPTS=%JAVA_OPTS% -Xms128m -Xmx512m -Dfile.encoding=utf8
I also changed the jboss-run.bat to -Dfile.encoding=utf-8 without any sucsess.
The regional settings on the win2003 server is set to Norwegian and I have a full server restart after each time I make a change in the *.bat file. Any tip on what I might be doing wrong would be appretiated.
    Regards
    Michael

  • Can not see assignment block conditions in rule policy

    Hi gurus,
I can't define any conditions in a new lead distribution rule. When I create a rule under a rule folder I can see the assignment blocks "Rule Details", "Actions" and "Preview", but I can't see the assignment block "Conditions" in order to define de conditions of the rule policy. How do I have to do to see this assignment block?
    Thanks and regards,
    Jesú

    Hi Jesús,
Seems strange because as soon as you click on enter after 'New' rule, all 3 assignment blocks should show up.
Could you please check whether the view has been included in the viewset correctly in the runtime repository editor of the underlying BSP component? For the standard it is usually the component CRM_ERMS_RULEM. The viewset is CRM_ERMS_RULEM/RuleDetailsViewSet  and the ViewArea " RuleDetailsConditions " should be included.
    Thanks and Regards,
