Fusion documents with pdf signature

Hi there,
I need a reference to indicate how it affects security restrictions merge several documents signed in pdf format.
Thank you.

We have seen that the final combinate document has repited the signature in several of the original documents. For example: we signed document 1 with AAA, document 2 with BBB. The combined document has AAA in all the pages.
I supposed that is a normal behaviour because the restricts. Could you confirmate that?
Thanks again!

  • Merging word document with pdf file how do you renumber pages?

After merging a word document with pdf file, how do you renumber pages?  The pdf has more pages than the word document.  I first converted the word document to a pdf, using Acrobat Standard 9.

    Hi Petek ,
After you merge the files or combine files ,click on the Page Thumbnails panel on the left hand side.
In the Page Thumbnail panel ,right click and you will get a drop down list .Select the option "Number Pages".
You will see a dialog box with several options .You can renumber the pages from there as per your requirement.

  • Can I open a Reader 9 Document with electronic signatures in Reader 10?

I currently have an Adobe Reader 9 document with fields filled out and also with several electronic signatures.
I need to be able to edit this document.
My understanding is that I can only edit or add the typewritter tool only when using Reader 10.
So couple of questions. First, will I be able to open this Reader 9 document using Reader 10?
Second, will I be able to add the typewritter tool once I download Reader 10?
Third, will I be able to make changes to existing form field data, once I add the typewritter tool?
Fourth, will this process invalidate the digital signatures already authenticated?

The "Typewriter tool" is only available in Acrobat Pro. Reader 11 DOES have the ability to "Add text comments" to a PDF but it isn't exactly the same thing. I'm unsure if "comments" will print or not.

  • Printing PDF document with invisible signature

    I've got a PDF-document - created with i-text - certified with an invisible signature.
Printing this document out of Adobe Reader 8/9 with several pages per sheet results in scrambling the second page. The preview inside the print-dialogue doesn't show any failure.
Leaving the fist page the output performs fine.
Has anyone made experience with similar problems printing certified/signed PDF-documents??

  • Securing pdf document with digital signatures

I have a pdf document that has digital signatures. We need to secure it so no one who has input their digital signature can go back in later, delete their signature and then 're-sign' it. But I get an error message telling me I can't secure the document because it has digital signatures.
Is there any way to secure the document so only I can secure/unsecure it after digital signatures have been input?
    Thanks!

You don't need to use document encryption to lock the PDF file. You can set the signature field properties to mark all fields as read-only at signature creation. Try this:
Select the Tools > Toolbars > Advanced Editing menu item
Click the Select Object tool on the Advanced editing toolbar (it's the arrow icon)
Right mouse click on the signature field and select Properties from the pop-up menu
Select the Signed tab on the Digital Signature Properties dialog
Select the Mark as read-only radio button and All fields from the corresponding drop-down list
Click the Close button on the Digital Signature Properties dialog
Select the File > Save As menu item and save a copy (in other words, leave the original copy as is in case you find you locked yourself out of the document, that way you'll have a fall-back recovery option)
    Good luck,
    Steve

  • Formatting .pdf documents with digital signature block

I have created a 2007 MS Access database that exports reports to .pdf format. The reports look great and all works well. The issue I have now is finding a way to automatically apply to a signature block to the reports after they are created. Is there some sort of code format or text I can add to the report prior to it being exported to a .pdf file where Adobe will recognize it as a digital signature block, and create a digital signature block on the form? Several of these forms will be created daily and it would not be productive to manually add signature blocks to every single report.

  • Prompting for SAVE as the document with Digital signatures in 8 or above

When i am doing digital signature on Adobe PDF 8 and above  , it is prompting to SAVE AS the document.I am accessing the PDF documents from my document management application and signing on that.So Save as wouldnot work for our case.It should save on the default existing location. How to solve this issue?

Thank you very much for your responses. The final post on the forum at the link you provided explains the issue. It appears to be some sort of conflict with the Windows Explorer document previewer that is causing this. Whenever I am previewing the document I am working with in the Explorer, I cannot save changes. As soon as I preview a different document, the changes can be saved without any problems. In the interest of providing further information so that a more permanent solution can be found, I am running Windows 7 and have had this problem with Acrobat 9 and X. Files are being saved locally. Unfortunately, I do not have the savvy to tell you what kind of server.

  • When I save a document with digital signature, it crashes.

When I Try to save a PDF document that have a digital signature, the program don't respond and I must to close it. When I open the pdf, have a digital signature but is not valid.
Before of adobe cloud it works perfect.
    Thanks,

Please, provide more specifics: which platform (Windows, Mac), which operating system, which program (Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Reader), which version? What do you mean by "Before of adobe cloud it works perfect"? Which "cloud"? Creative Cloud? Are you using Acrobat.com?

  • Converting multiple word documents to PDF

I am converting hundreds of Word documents to individual PDF files.
I selecting 10 to 20 at a time to convert. Is there a way to
automatically save each PDF so I do not have to sit there and
press "save" for each new PDF file? Thanks in advance...

    Thanks for the reply...
I was selecting 20 or so files from my documents folder in "My Computer" and then right clicking. I would select "convert to PDF file" from the context menu.
This works great for making 20 different PDF files (which is what I am trying to do)... however, I have to sit there and wait for each file to be prepared to convert and then press save. This saves the file with the same name as the Word document (which is fine) but with
the .pdf extension. I was wondering if there was a way to automatically save each individual PDF (with same name as the Word document with PDF extension) so I could "set it and forget it."

  • Support for multiple pdf document with signature

I have a question about signatures.
Does the PDF specification support the combination of multiple pdf documents into one pdf document with the following constraint:
    - each individual pdf document has been signed (by an X.509 certificate),
    - the individual documents can come from different sources, so they have to be 'included' or merged into the final pdf,
    - the final pdf document should not change the signatures of the individual documents.
So each part of the document should maintain the integrity of the individual components and the signature of the individual comnponents are still valid.
Does the pdf specification support this feature?
    With kind regards,
    Ernst Jan

What you want is called a PDF Package (or Portable Collection in the PDFRef) and is new in PDF 1.7. You can try it out with Acrobat 8.

  • How can I delete pages in a PDF document with Reader for iPad?

Is there a way to do this within Reader? I know you can do it with MAX PDF or PDF Splicer, but I was hoping for a native way to delete - for example - 2 pages from a 10 page document and then resave it to Dropbox, email it, or something along those lines...
I assume if you cannot delete, then you cannot merge 2 documents into one?
    Thanks

I figured the app might have that ability - considering you can add text, highlight, add a signature, annotate and draw - so my thought was why not delete a page, or rearrange for that matter?.. That should be an option, this way we don't have to export to one of the other apps to delete or rearrange..
    Thanks for the help, Bernd.
BTW if anyone is looking - PDF Max can do all of the above and delete and rearrange. With PDF Splicer you can delete and rearrange as well, but it has no other features.
And as for Steve Werner whose comment was deleted after it got to my inbox, it is much more than a Reader, as you can plainly see from the amount of tasks the Reader app can do above.

  • Why a pdf document with embedded fonts can be copied but is not searchable in pdf reader

I am writing a pdf files with embedded subset fonts. As required, I am including the ToUnicode and CIDSet objects. To test, I created a simple PDF with two Hebrew characters. I can select the two characters and copy to the clipboard, and paste it properly into another application such as Word. But I am not able to search for a word containing these two characters. Adobe Reader (or Acrobat) displays the message that the word was not found. So in essence, I have created a PDF document which can be copied properly, but is not searchable. Any idea what I might be missing when creating the document?
Additional information: 1. The file in question is a minimal file with just two characters. I have tested with many such files in many different languages including English. None of the files are searchable. 2. Curiously, if I search for the letter 'e', Adobe reader highlights an incorrect word, even if the letter 'e' does not exists in the file. 3. Adobe acrobat is also not able to search within this file, however when I save the file to another disk file, the saved file now is searchable. I confirmed that the major objects such as the font-file, ToUnicode object, CID object, and the font description objects are the same in the saved file. However, one of the font object is brought up closer to the top of the file. 4. FoxIt is able to search these files properly.

  • PDF with Digital Signatures

I am currently using classic asp and I need to fill out an existing pdf with data from the database.  The form also contains two signatures.  I just need to fill in the form, save it so I can email it to the  the customer.  I tried using the fdf toolkit - but my form has text fields that can be 20 characters or 4000.  The multiline function in adobe forms isn't working correctly and it cuts it off when you print.
I could create the form in livecycle,  and generate the data in xml, but I am so new to adobe, I don't know how to programatically load the file and save it to the server.
I have another program I've tried where I can generate fdf code I think it's fpdf (the php version that was changed to asp)  - but I need to know how to generate a digital signature.
I've tried pdftk - I tried to merge the data with the signature - but ended up with permission issues.
I have been working on this problem for several weeks and could really use some help.

    Bill,
I'm trying to create a dynamic document using data from the database to generate the pdf, the pdf also needs to containg two signatures for signing.  I've looked at every way possible to do this.  Currently, my greatest success has come from using the fdf toolkit, but the sizing of the fields (could be 20 chars, could be 4000 chars) leaves me with a very ugly form.
The form I am using already contains the two signature blocks - but I am at a loss on how to populate a pdf form that resides on the webserver with data from the database.
    Bill, can you help?

  • Sign Document with Signature validated Automatically

    Hi everyone
I want to sign a PDF document  with a certificate “.pfx”, I have adobe pro extended  and visual studio 2008 for do that and I’m using visual c sharp to develop my application until here everything it’s  ok the problem is after to sign the document when I open the document  adobe can’t verify the signature and timestamp,  I need to validate the signature manually  and I don’t need that, I need the validate the signature and timestamp automatically because I need to distributed a lot pdf sign documents to my customers and I can’t  provide exclusive solutions for each one of them for validate the segnatures, I hope you can help me with this issue.
    My Best Regards

What do you mean by "can't verify"?  That the validity is unknown?  Does it say why?
Most likely this is due to an unknown root certificate for the .pfx.  What is the root/CA for the .pfx?

  • Signing PDF files with my signature?

How do I sign a PDF document with my actual signature?

    Hi,
You can add signatures in your pdf by following the steps below:
    1) Open the pdf.
    2) Tap on the pdf to bring the top bar.
    3) Tap on 4th icon i.e.e comments icon from left.
    4) Tap on the right most "ink pen" like icon
    5) Tap in pdf where you want to place your signature
    6) Sign in the box that comes up.
    7) Tap Save
You will see your signature gets added inside your pdf. Let me know if that helps.
