Fusion Middleware Console

Hi all,
I have WLS 11g running. The Welcome page is working (http://<hostname>:7001), the WL Admin console is working (http://<hostname>:7001/console) and even my B2B console is working (http://<hostname>:3311/b2bconsole).
Problem is the Middleware console (http://<hostname>:7001/em) is returning a 404. I haven't found where to troubleshoot this...
Help?

Hi Alan
When you created this SOA Domain using Config Wizard, most probably you DID NOT add one module by name "Oracle Enterprise Manager - 11.1.1.0 (oracle_common)". My gut feeling is you checked the checkboxes like Oracle SOA Suite (which indirectly sets 2 other check boxes like Oracle WSM Policy Manager and Oracle JRF.
You can fix your existing domain. On Windows from Start -> Programs -> Oracle Weblogic .. -> Weblogic Server -> Tools -> Configuration Wizard, open Conifg Wizard. Choose option to Extend existing domain. Browse and select your domain. Then in next screen check the check box named "Oracle Enterprise Manager - 11.1.1.0 (oracle_common)" and for rest of the stuff just click next and next and finish. Make sure when you do this your domain is NOT running. Once this is extended, restart your domain. Other option is to create a brand new domain and choose the above check box also for Oracle Enterprise Manager - 11.1.1.0 (oracle_common).
On Linux do the same thing except that you have to manually run config.sh command from this folder..\beawls1032\wlserver_10.3\common\bin

I replied in another thread that you replied to but I did check and when I created my domain I did include Oracle Enterprise Manager 11.1.1.0 (oracle common). I'm on Red Hat Linux Enterprise 5. Any tips on what to do? I can't get my EM to come up via the web browser (http://computer:7001/em) as I get the HTTP error -
Error 404--Not Found+
From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1:+
*10.4.5 404 Not Found*
The server has not found anything matching the Request-URI. No indication is given of whether the condition is temporary or permanent.+
If the server does not wish to make this information available to the client, the status code 403 (Forbidden) can be used instead. The 410 (Gone) status code SHOULD be used if the server knows, through some internally configurable mechanism, that an old resource is permanently unavailable and has no forwarding address.+

  • Weblogic domain status always down from Fusion Middleware Console

    Hi Guys
Weblogic domain status always down from Fusion Middleware Console but however my Webdomain is Up and running.
At another level, I have the same problem with applications status. These applications are Up and running but visible status down too.
    Platform: AIX 5.3 TL8
    Weblogic Server: 10.3.2
    Fusion Middleware Controle: 11.1.1.2.0
    Any idea ?

    Hi,
I have similar setup and the WebTier component shows as down.
After some research I have come to the conclusion that some files have been missed in the EM packaging with the Web Center and OHS components.
Am following up with iAS development on this issue..
    Check
    http://<adminHost>:<adminPort>/dms
Click on Aggregate Metrics > scroll down to opmn_response and opmn_response_component. See if the instance is registered.
In my case, the opmn_response does not have the componentname in it but opmn_response_component seems to be fine.

  • Cannot start Enterprise Manager for Fusion Middleware 11g

    Dear all,
Because I want to install Oracle EGRCM v8.0.1 in Linux x86_64, so I installed Oracle Weblogic 11gR1 and SOA Suite 11g first.
After installation successfully, I created a base_domain as default, and can start weblogic administration server ( http://localhost:7001/console ) successfully.
Now I want to use Enterprise Manager for Fusion Middleware 11g. Per "*Oracle® Fusion Middleware Administrator's Guide 11g Release 1 (11.1.1)*", the EM should be available now and the access URL should be http://localhost:7001/em . But when I try to access it, the following error returned:
    Error 404--Not Found
From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1:
    +10.4.5 404 Not Found+
The server has not found anything matching the Request-URI. No indication is given of whether the condition is temporary or permanent.

The 410 (Gone) status code SHOULD be used if the server knows, through some internally configurable mechanism, that an old resource is permanently unavailable and has no forwarding address.
So I try to start with emctl in *$MW_HOME/oracle_common/bin/*, the error is as following:
    +./emctl: line 387 /d02/Middleware/oracle_common/perl/bin/perl: No such file or directory+.
I check the path and find out that no directory named "perl" under */d02/Middleware/oracle_common*. So I try to copy the necessary dir from the dir installed Oracle Database 11g ( *$ORACLE_HOME* ), but it returns following error:
OC4J Configuration issue. /d02/Middleware/oracle_common/sysman/j2ee not found.
I try to copy necessary dir from *$ORACLE_HOME* but still cannot start EM.
Please give some advise about how I can start EM for Fusion Middleware 11g, any idea is appreciate!

    Hi Kenny
See this post of mine: Re: Fusion Middleware Console
For any SOA Domain, unless you have Enterprise Manager Facet enabled (during domain creation process or adding later on by extending it), you will not be able to access the EM Console. For quick testing, open config.xml file for your domain and check the modules specially em module as shown below. It should be there. This is for one of my SOA Cluster Domains with SOA on top of WLS 10.3.2
    <app-deployment>
    <name>em</name>
    <target>AdminServer</target>
    <module-type>ear</module-type>

    <deployment-order>400</deployment-order>
    <security-dd-model>DDOnly</security-dd-model>
    <staging-mode>nostage</staging-mode>
    </app-deployment>

    Ravi JeggaHello Ravi:
I too like Kenny experienced the EXACT same thing this morning. I was trying to figure out how to modify the formsweb.cfg and I remembered from when I install Oracle9i/10g AS a few years back, that it was on the Enterprise Manager Console for forms (different than the EM for the database). Well that's different than the consoles for Weblogic Server and Weblogic Server for Forms. I ran into the same errors Kenny did, and I followed your steps except that I did install into the domain the Enterprise Manager so when I looked at the config.xml I do see the same code that you posted above. Yet I still get the error when accessing
    http://computer:7001/em
Also when trying to run emctl (I copied the perl directory from the database) and same error as Kenny. Any tips/clues?
I'm running on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5, Oracle 11g (database, Fusion Middleware).
    Thanks,

  • Oracle Fusion Middleware 11G  B2B Document Type not getting Identified

    Hello,
I have installed Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g on my local machine and created a custom document type with proper .xsd definition and XPath Expression Identifier in Oracle B2B interface and configured its trading partners ( Host & Remote ) along with an agreement between the partners.
I have also configured the host listening channel of Generic-File type which picks xml files from my c:\orclsrvs_in folder.
My problem is that the moment I drop any sample file in the expected directory, it gets picked up from B2B , but there isn't any record of the same under Reports and Metrics links.
The Business message, Application message and Conversation message tabs are also not showing any information about the record picked, but in wire message tab, the record is shown in PROCESSING state.
I am not able to conclude whats wrong behind this.. where can i track the logs for the same ??
kindly help to resolve this issue.
    Thanks & Regards
    Hiteshkumar Chaudhary

    Hi Hitesh,
i came to know that B2B extracts the TP name from the filename itselfYes, in case of Generic File, Generic SFTP and Generic FTP, file name provides the necessary values to Oracle B2B to identify the Trading Partner. You can define your own file name format in the Delivery Channel under Transport Protocol Parameters in field "Filename format" (It's an optional field but it is always good to define your own format, otherwise B2B will take it's default format - TradingPartner_DocumentType_Revision_msgType_msgId_replytoMsgID_extension.xml ). Following Filename formats can be used -
    %FROM_PARTY%
    %TO_PARTY%
    %DOCTYPE_NAME%
    %DOCTYPE_REVISION%
    %MSG_ID%
    %TIMESTAMP%
These file name formats can be used in any combination; for example,
    %TO_PARTY%_%DOCTYPE_NAME%_%DOCTYPE_REVISION%.dat
Note - Any file extension is allowed.
what are the system parameters to be set in weblogic console and how?? This activity is part of the pre and post installation steps. If you have done those without getting any errors then nothing else is required.
how shall I reinstall XEngine properly ??XEngine is part of B2B installation. If B2B gets installed without flashing any errors then we assume that other components of this part has installed properly.

  • How to Install and apply the Diagnostic Pack for Fusion Middleware on EM

    Hi
we have installed ADF Runtime along with Enterprise Manager on IBM-AIX-64-BIT-7.1 version. now, we are planning to install the Diagnostic pack for fusion middleware inorder to monitor the ADF Application deployed on weblogic 10.3.6 server from Enterprise Console. Can anybody suggest, the diagnostic pack for fusion middleware compatability version for our OS,weblogic 10.3.6.
    Regards
    Nagaraju Manchala

    Hi Nagaraju,
The packs just represent packaged licensing and usually don't need to be installed. However, I assume you are referring to the Diagnostic Pack for Oracle Middleware. If so, the functionality is actually not part of Enterprise Manager Cloud Control. All of the WLS and FMW management features are licensed via WebLogic Management Pack EE or the appropriate FMW pack licensing such as SOA Management Pack EE for SOA Suite and OSB and Management Pack for Oracle WebCenter for WebCenter and UCM. The Diagnostic Pack for Oracle Middleware includes the standalone AD4J and JRMC diagnostic tools which can be downloaded from e-Delivery and installed separately. It is solely dedicated to diagnostics at the end of the day as opposed to monitoring.
Most prefer WLS Management Pack EE for monitoring and managing WebLogic and Oracle App Server apps along with the RUEI product, but you definitely can take advantage of AD4J and JRMC today. It should be noted that WLS Management Pack EE allows the usage of JVM diagnostics as well which is much broader in its 24/7 diagnostics and monitoring capabilities at the JVM level than the standalone AD4J component. In addition, the diagnostics is supplemented with the middleware diagnostics advisor, performance summary and composite application dashboards, diagnostic snapshots, and other functionality. In addition, WLS Management Pack EE includes all of the configuration management (config compare, compliance policies, patch tracking, etc) and lifecycle management features (domain and Java EE provisioning, patch automation). Anyways, it is probably just easier to take a look at the self-running demos for the features on OTN under EM and YouTube in the WebLogic Server or Oracle Learning channels.
Also, to your oriiginal point, you don't need to install the pack. You can discover WLS and FMW targets out of the box immediately. There are additional components you can download under the EM umbrella such as Real User Experience Insight (RUEI - monitors actual user activity on the front-end and associates it with EMCC targets) and Business Transaction Management (BTM - formerly AmberPoint, which provides payload aware business transaction monitoring). Both RUEI and BTM data integrates with EMCC via the Business Application dashboard, so you can still have a single console view of your application even though the RUEI and BTM components are installed separately.

  • Fusion MIddleware 11g

    Hi,
Trying to install Oracle Fusion Middleware 11gR1 on windows. I have followed the guidelines provided in the http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12839_01/install.1111/e14318/toc.htm
    1. Installing the weblogic (11g)
    2. Oracle 11g databse installation
    3. Running the RCU utility to create schema
    4. Installed and copied relevant files for Java Bridge
    5. Configure the Fusion Middleware
But i found that the SOA server is not getting up in the enterprise manager its showing as down. When i checked the logs iam getting the following error

Hi, Thanks for your reply. Now managed server is starting up but I couldn't see SOA folder and User Messaging folder in the em console.Log suggests that few classes (like SOAStartup Class) are missing though they are already in the classpath. Also I could find lot of errors with the tag "Access is denied". I am unable to run startManagedWeblogic.cmd using "Run as administrator" command to solve this issue. Just pasted log entries that could be of use . Can you please help.

  • Deploying forms on Fusion Middleware 11g

Hi everyone! I will post my thread in english and spanish.
    English:_
I have developed a simple form using developer 11g on a windows pc, and now I want to deploy it on a SLES10 server that has installed WebLogic Server 10.3/Fusion Middleware 11g. The form just has a button. When a user press it, appears a modal window showing a message (WHEN-BUTTON-PRESSED event with a message('') invocation). From the developer´s PC the form works fine, showing the modal window, but when I execute the form from the server using http:\\<server>:<port>\forms\frmservlet?form=<form_name> I see the form in the applet but when I press the button, nothing happens... no modal window, no error, nothing at all. It seems that the trigger is not firing.
    Can anyone help me, please?
    Thanx, Gracias!!
    Gastón.-

    Hi Sid
    1. Check if your .EAR file has a .WAR file for the WebServices. It should have a war file. And open war file like in winzip and under Web-Inf you should see a WSDL folder that should have .wsdl and .xsd files etc. Open this .wsdl and look at the URL. Try opening that URL in the browser.
If you EAR do not have WAR file. Select your application -> Right click properties -> Deployment and select your deployment profile and under Application Assembly make sure to check the box for your webservices project.
From Weblogic Admin Console, make sure your EAR is deployed successfully and there also you can expand it and see the WAR module under this. And you should be able to test your webservice wsdl from this war file from one of the tabs in weblogic console.
    Thanks

  • Fusion MiddleWare - Begineer

    Hello ,
I am new to FMW (Fusion MiddleWare ).
I have below questions about FMW.
What is the business use of FMW ?
How can we use the FWM intergrate mutiple application with our ERP ?
What are the other features of FMW apart from the above one ?
Use of below components of FMW
    Weblogic Console
    Enterprise Manager
    Oracle Service Bus
    ODI Console
    Oracle BAM
    Oracle B2B Console
    Oracle BPM Work list
    AIA Console

FMW could be told as the result of when WebLogic and Application Server melt
The application Server had a lot of sub-products, such as OC4J, Forms, Reports, Portal, WebCache, Discoverer, SOA suite and some adapters for JDEdwards and I dont remember what else.
When Oracle get Bea, they also get one of the most powerful WebServer on market, and as OC4J is based on Orion Server (dont belong to Oracle) they replace it with WebLogic.
    With Fussion Middleware you can...
Mount one or multiple WebPage (with Portal, Apache, WebCenter) in the same server.
    Mount Java aplications on WebLogic
Make the web faster with WebCache
Have a SOA environment, with Service Bus, BAM, BPEL and other
Enterprise Manager specialy for FMW is the tool to monitor, admin and configure all product that are not WebLogic
And WebLogic Console, admin, configure and monitor, WebLogic's Admin and Managed server, as well applications mounted and other objects.
You can look for more information in the FMW webpage as well in the documentation.

  • Fusion Middleware 11g (Forms) Application setup

    Hi,
This is a requirement in Weblogic server set up for a Fusion Middleware 11g (Forms) Application
    I have 2 requirements:
If there is a url say https://abc.world.corp/
    1. I wanted to restrict the user from accessing https://abc.world.corp/admin (this is an admin console)
    2. I want the user to receive an error message if he types a wrong url like https://abc.world.corp0/ or https://abc.world.cor/
I would like to know how to set up this. Can somebody provide a solution.
    Thanks in Advance
    Ram

    Hi Michael,
    Thanks for your valuable inputs.
Below line in CRMS_KR.htm was causing the problem because while directly hitting the CRMS_KR.htm we had hard-coded all the tag values which in other case is read from formweb.cfg
    Before:
    *<PARAM NAME="serverURL" VALUE="/forms/lservlet?ifcfs=/forms/frmservlet?acceptLanguage=en-us">*
    We modified it to
    After:
    *<PARAM NAME="serverURL" VALUE="/forms/lservlet">*
Now we are able to hit the below URL sucessfully
    http://scrmskr.apac.nsroot.net:7801/forms/html/CRMS_KR.htm
    Thanks & Regards,

  • Multiple LDAP Servers in Fusion Middleware (OBIEE 11g)

    Hello,
I have a question, regarding integration of multiple LDAP servers with single Weblogic Server of Fusion Middleware (OBIEE 11g). We are currently using OBIEE 10g. We are on verge of migrating to 11g. However, I have a question regarding the LDAP server.
Our two applications run on two distinct LDAP servers. The plan is to provide a single sign on link for OBIEE 11g reports to the end users and depending on what application they are using, they must be authenticated against the respective LDAP server.
So, my question, is it possible to Integrate two different LDAP servers in the Weblogic of Fusion Middleware (OBIEE 11g). If so, what would be the steps. Any helpful document will also be appreciated.
    Thank you,
    Chandu.

Yes, you can configure multiple authentication providers one by one as you generally do.
When you configure multiple Authentication providers, use the JAAS Control Flag for each provider to control how the Authentication providers are used in the login sequence. You can set the JAAS Control Flag in the WebLogic Administration Console.
REQUIRED—The Authentication provider is always called, and the user must always pass its authentication test. If authentication succeeds or fails, authentication still continues down the list of providers.
REQUISITE—The user is required to pass the authentication test of the Authentication provider. If the user passes the authentication test of this Authentication provider, subsequent providers are executed but can fail (except for Authentication providers with the JAAS Control Flag set to REQUIRED).
SUFFICIENT—The user is not required to pass the authentication test of the Authentication provider. If authentication succeeds, no subsequent Authentication providers are executed. If authentication fails, authentication continues down the list of providers.
OPTIONAL—The user is allowed to pass or fail the authentication test of this Authentication provider. However, if all Authentication providers configured in a security realm have the JAAS Control Flag set to OPTIONAL, the user must pass the authentication test of one of the configured providers.

  • Fusion Middleware Control 11.1.1.2 does not start/run.  How to fix.

    Hello,
    1. The Fusion Middleware Control 11.1.1.2 on Infrastructure Home does not response after entering userid and password and click on login.
    http://hostname:7001/em
    2. The Fusion Middleware Control 11.1.1.2 on Mid-tier Home does not run - http error 404. http://hostname:7002/em
Does anyone know what's wrong or where to look for errors?.
Server is running Linux SUSE SLES-10 SP3.
Upgrade from AS 10g 10.1.2.2 to 11.1.1.2 and all Infrastructure Home and Mid-tier Home components started OK with opmnctl startall.
The Fusion Middleware Admin Console 11.1.1.2 on Infrastructure Home works.
The Fusion Middleware Admin Console 11.1.1.2 on Mid-tier Home works.
    Thanks a lot.

You have to start the NodeManager first.
    Ex.
    export WL_HOME=/u01/app/oracle/product/fmw/wlserver_10.3
    cd $WL_HOME/server/bin
    ./startNodeManager.sh
Then you can start the AdminServer
    Ex.
    export MW_HOME=/u01/app/oracle/product/fmw
    export DOMAIN_HOME=$MW_HOME/user_projects/domains/FormsReports
    ###export ORACLE_HOME=/u01/app/oracle/product/fmw/oracle_pfrd
    cd $DOMAIN_HOME/bin
    nohup $DOMAIN_HOME/bin/startWebLogic.sh &

  • UNACCESSIBLE ORACLE FUSION MIDDLEWARE CONTROL

    Hi,
I’m using Oracle JDeveloper version 11.1.1.6.0 on a Windows Vista 32bit
My problem is that I can always access my Oracle Weblogic Server Administration Console using this url http://localhost:7001/console/login/LoginForm.jsp , but whenever I try to open the Oracle Fusion Middleware Control with url http://obi-pc:7001/ it shows me the welcome page but when I click “Go To Fusion Middleware Control” it gives me the following error:
    Error 404--Not Found
From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1:
    10.4.5 404 Not Found
The server has not found anything matching the Request-URI. No indication is given of whether the condition is temporary or permanent.
If the server does not wish to make this information available to the client, the status code 403 (Forbidden) can be used instead. The 410 (Gone) status code SHOULD be used if the server knows, through some internally configurable mechanism, that an old resource is permanently unavailable and has no forwarding address.
Please what could possibly be the reason for this as I have never been able to access it after I installed the Oracle JDeveloper version 11.1.1.6.0, I look forward to your reply.
    Thank you.

  • Oracle Fusion Middleware Real Operations

    Hi,
I'm trying to find out more about Oracle Fusion Middleware Real Operations Insight and Oracle Fusion Middleware Real Operations Automation but there doesn't seem to be much info around. Is there any documentation available?
    Thanks

    Real Operations Insight
For administrators, getting the information they need from running systems to ensure smooth
operation can be a challenge. It can also be costly if the system or application performs poorly.
Oracle WebLogic Suite 11g provides Real Operations Insight that includes powerful facilities to
monitor and diagnose issues. For example, operations teams can take advantage of the Oracle
Enterprise Manager Diagnostics Pack including Grid Control to manage many nodes of Oracle
WebLogic Server from a single console: start and stop services, monitor and manage application
across domains, view most accessed components, and more. Included is the Application
Diagnostics For Java technology (AD4J) that allows for deep monitoring, management, and
optimization of applications running on Java Virtual Machines.
In addition, Oracle JRockit JVM customers can also leverage JRockit Mission Control to
optimize applications using runtime analysis and memory leak detection tools. And finally, when
leveraging the Coherence in-memory data grid, the Enterprise Management Pack for Oracle
Coherence provides comprehensive tools for monitoring and reporting Coherence activity.
    Real Operations Automation
Responding to business need is difficult for IT if operations are manual. Real Operations
Automation affords a highly automated WebLogic Server environment. Configuring domains
and clusters through automation and scripting ensures repetitive tasks are executed properly
without human error. Dynamic resource management helps consolidate applications to fewer
servers as needed while shutting-down inactive instances for cost and power savings. Real
Operations Automation takes as input the unique metrics provided by Real Operations Insight to
ensure timely, accurate, and fine-grained optimization.

    Hello,
I got problems with the Fusion Middleware control and targets that don't work after upgrading from AS 10.1.2.3 to 11g.

    2. Fusion Middleware control on Mid Tier (http://<hostname>:7002/em) returns a 404 error and I found a solution on this forum to do the Extend Domain and turn on/configure Enterprise Manage. I tried and got error "INST-07303 - Specified Domain cannot be used for Extend Domain configuration".
    3. There sre no Targets in both Infra and Mid Tier targets.xml files after ugrading from AS 10.1.2.3 to 11g. How do I transfer all targets from the old AS 10.1.2.3 Infra and Mid Tier targets.xml to Fusion 11g Infra and Mid Tier targets.xml.
