Fusion Middleware Control for Oracle WebTier without WebLogic installed ?

Hello,
In our IT company, we usually install and configure middleware software from the OpenSource range (Apache HTTP, Tomcat, JBoss), as well as commercial products from IBM (WebSphere products).
For one of our customer, it is nevertheless mandatory to use Oracle WebTier 11g (especially Oracle WebCache and OHS), due to legacy reasons. I'm totally new with Oracle Middleware products, and I've begun to read the official manuals, but they mention references to Fusion Middleware Control, a webized console to manage them.
The fact is that we won't install WebLogic in our infrastructure, but only WebTier (our customer doesn't need WebLogic) : it seems that this Fusion Middleware Control console comes only with WebLogic, and therefore, that I'm not able to run it in my configuration in order to manage both WebCache and OHS.
Am I right with this ?
If yes, is there another way (I guess so) to manage WebCache and OHS, without Fusion Middleware Control ? Any advices to find resources about this hypothetical other way to manager WebTier ?

To my knowledge 'Oracle Enterprise Manager Fusion Middleware Control' is not downloadable
as a separate application.
When you look at the demos here: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/oem/grid-control/index-092888.html
especially 'SOA Performance Management with Oracle Enterprise Manager 11g' (http://download.oracle.com/technology/products/oem/screenwatches/SOA11g/SOA11g.html),
you can see that 'Oracle Enterprise Manager Fusion Middleware Control' is part of grid control.

You can manage your Oracle Fusion Middleware environment using Oracle Enterprise Manager Fusion Middleware Control (Fusion Middleware Control) or Oracle Enterprise Manager Grid Control.
Fusion Middleware Control is a part of the Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g installation. Installation of Oracle Enterprise Manager Fusion Middleware Control

I am having a cluster of Oracle Weblogic server and Oracle HTTP server. I am trying to configure SSL on Oracle HTTP Server. After some online researches, there is an Fusion Middleware tool "Oracle Enterprise Manager Fusion Middleware Control" that can be used to manage Oracle HTTP server and configure SSL. It appears that Oracle Enterprise Manager Fusion Middleware Control comes with either Oracle SOA suite or Oracle WebCenter suite. However, in order to install both SOA and WebCenter for Oracle Enterprise Manager Fusion Middleware Control, it seems that an database installation is needed. Does anyone know if I can install just the component of Oracle Enterprise Manager Fusion Middleware Contro directly from SOA or WebCenter suite without any other components and database?

Updating .rpd file in oracle Fusion middleware control 11G

Hi people,
I've a problem. I tried to upload my .rpd file by loggin in oracle Fusion middleware control 11G, doing this steps:
correaplications-> implantation-> repository -> block editconfiguration-> search repository in folder -> insert password-> apply configuration-> restart all services. But, doesn't work. The log errors are:
severe: element type:domain, element ID: null, opertaion result: waiting_for_opmn, detail message: timeout, waiting for opmn to start process
severe: element type:BI_INSTANCE, element ID: coreapplication, operation result: failed_to_start, detail message: error in start one or more components of BI instance
My coreapplication_obis1 is down and i can't start it!!! I need help, can anyone help me?
I had to done anything before trying to upload the .rpd file?

I've resolved the problem. I just started the BI service without de opmnctl. Import the rpd, start the opmnctl and restart de bi service. After this I login in the analytics

UNACCESSIBLE ORACLE FUSION MIDDLEWARE CONTROL

I’m using Oracle JDeveloper version 11.1.1.6.0 on a Windows Vista 32bit
My problem is that I can always access my Oracle Weblogic Server Administration Console using this url http://localhost:7001/console/login/LoginForm.jsp , but whenever I try to open the Oracle Fusion Middleware Control with url http://obi-pc:7001/ it shows me the welcome page but when I click “Go To Fusion Middleware Control” it gives me the following error:
Error 404--Not Found

The server has not found anything matching the Request-URI. No indication is given of whether the condition is temporary or permanent.

Not able to test SOA composites from Oracle Fusion Middleware Control

Hi All,
I am working on weblogic server 10.3.5
SOA Suite 11.1.1.5.0
Earlier everything was working fine. Suddenly while testing one of my deployed composite I am getting the following error
Either the WSDL URL is invalid or the WSDL file is not valid or incorrect. - WSDLException: faultCode=OTHER_ERROR: Failed to read WSDL from http://<server_host>:<soa_server_port>/soa-infra/services/default/Project1/helloworld_client_ep?WSDL: HTTP connection error code is 503
And this error message is coming from every other composite. I am not able to test any of the SOA composites from my fusion middleware control
I followed the soa server log also but couldn't find any information regarding this error.
Also I restarted all the servers;admin server+managed servers, after deleting the tmp folder but the error persists
Can anyone suggest me what can be the issue?

503 Service Unavailable errors can appear in any browser in any operating system.
The 503 Service Unavailable error displays inside the browser window, just as web pages do.
Cause of 503 Service Unavailable Errors
The 503 Service Unavailable error is an HTTP status code that means the web site's server is simply not available right now. Most of the time this is because the server is too busy or because there's maintenance being performed on it.
Try to enable HTTP tunneling on Server that solve your problem.

Fusion Middleware Control "Identity and Access" menu missing

Hi.
I have a problem with one of the fussion middleware control menus which is missing.
The environment is as follows:
- One server with OVD + OID
- One server with Weblogic + ODSM + Fussion Middleware Control
(All idm fmw 11.1.1.2.0)
ODSM can connect to OVD / OID on the other server without any problems.
On Fussion middleware Control I can not see the menu "Identity and Access". In previous installations where all the components where installed together in the same server, that menu appeared without any extra configuration.
The menu i'm talking about is the one referred here: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E15523_01/oid.1111/e10046/basic_started.htm#CIHHAJJH
"2.In the left panel topology tree, expand the farm, then Identity and Access. Alternatively, from the farm home page, expand Fusion Middleware, then Identity and Access. Oracle Virtual Directory components are listed in both places"
Which are the steps to get that menu back? How do i get "linked" fusion middleware control with ovd/oid from the other server?
Any extra configuration, any steps during installation...
There's something probably very simple i'm missing but i haven't found any reference about creating/configuring that menu...

Hi. i tried what i posted on my last message but i can't pass next step of the installation.
If i try to install oid+ovd in <host 2> i can select "extend existing domain" and it connects correctly to the weblogic domain (IDMDomain creating during installation of odsm & em fmw control) that is up un running on <host 1>.
But on the next step it asks for the "Weblogic Server Directory"... If i enter the path where weblogic resides on <host 1> it fails because it looks for it in the host i'm installing oid+ovd <host 2>.
- First of all, is it really possible to have oid+ovd on one host and weblogic+odsm+enterprise manager fmw control in a different host in a way that makes possible to manage oid+ovd with enterprise manager fmw control?
- Is it possible to tell the installer that the path for the weblogic server is in a different host? something like host:path?
- If it's not possible, is it documented anywhere? i haven't found anything regarding that possible limitation.
Please, any help would be appreciated as this is becoming critical for us.

WLS Zip distribution and Fusion Middleware Control components

i am working with a WLS Zip distribution installation and i'm not seeing opmnctl or any reference to the Fusion Middleware Control that i need to install Oralce Webforms.
what components install do we need to get this install up to speed?

   WLS ZIP distribution is only intended to be used for only developers.
   As per your requirement in order to install Oracle Forms you need to install .jar or .exe or .bin file depending upon you OS.
   Then install Oracle Forms 11g.
   So request to follow the below steps if your OS is a 64 bit :-
1)Download and Install JDK 1.6.0_XXX from the below URL :-
   Java Archive Downloads - Java SE 6
2)Download and Install Weblogic 10.3.6 which is certified with Forms and Reports 11.1.2.2.0 or Forms 11.1.1.7.0 which could be downloaded from the below URL :-

   Section :- Oracle WebLogic Server 11gR1 (10.3.6) + Coherence - Package Installer

Fusion Middleware Control targets error

Hi, I cloned a server with a weblogic domain forms and reports 11g.
I reconfigured the name of the server fine.
I reconfigured the weblogic domain fine.
I reconfigure the instance of forms and reports fine.
My problem resides in the fusion middleware control EM, the references are linked to the old server (OHS, reports and forms component). And I can't get the sessions of forms, ohs statistics... nothing.
How can do for upgrade the info of fusion middleware control.

Fusion Middleware Control 11.1.1.2 does not start/run. How to fix.

1. The Fusion Middleware Control 11.1.1.2 on Infrastructure Home does not response after entering userid and password and click on login.

Server is running Linux SUSE SLES-10 SP3.
Upgrade from AS 10g 10.1.2.2 to 11.1.1.2 and all Infrastructure Home and Mid-tier Home components started OK with opmnctl startall.
The Fusion Middleware Admin Console 11.1.1.2 on Infrastructure Home works.

You have to start the NodeManager first.
Ex.

./startNodeManager.sh
Then you can start the AdminServer
Ex.

export DOMAIN_HOME=$MW_HOME/user_projects/domains/FormsReports

Fusion Middleware control and targets don't work

Hello,
I got problems with the Fusion Middleware control and targets that don't work after upgrading from AS 10.1.2.3 to 11g.
I have WLS 11g running. The WL Admin consoles are working (http://<hostname>:7001/console and http://<hostname>:7002/console)
1. Fusion Middleware control on Infra (http://<hostname>:7001/em) does not return anything - just show <loading> on the screen.
2. Fusion Middleware control on Mid Tier (http://<hostname>:7002/em) returns a 404 error and I found a solution on this forum to do the Extend Domain and turn on/configure Enterprise Manage. I tried and got error "INST-07303 - Specified Domain cannot be used for Extend Domain configuration".
3. There sre no Targets in both Infra and Mid Tier targets.xml files after ugrading from AS 10.1.2.3 to 11g. How do I transfer all targets from the old AS 10.1.2.3 Infra and Mid Tier targets.xml to Fusion 11g Infra and Mid Tier targets.xml.
OS is Linux SUSE SLES-10 SP3

How to deploy Secure ADF applications w/o Fusion Middleware Control

Just got the team upgraded to the new JDeveloper 11.1.1.1.0 and things have come to a halt because we can't deploy to our test servers.
The previous process from OTN for 11.1.1.0.2 doesn't seem to work anymore.

The new on-line docs say the way to deploy Secure ADF Application is either Fusion Middleware Control or WLST command. The instructions for the FMC are there, but not the WLST. (See section 7.2 http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12839_01/core.1111/e10043/addlsecfea.htm#CFHFAIGE)
Is there a new documented set of instructions for deploying a Secure ADF Application using WLST????

Errror during upload of repository using em fusion middleware control

While i am trying to upload the new repository file using em fusion middle ware control by following way
Log in to the enterprise manager fusion middleware control ( http:// localhost:7001/em ) -> farm_bifoundation_domain -> business intelligence -> coreapplication -> deployment -> repository ->apply
When i press apply button after browsing the repository file i was stuck with below error message

This is the first time i am trying to upload the repository file using em fusion middle ware control. I tried with IE,Firefox,Chrome .Except IE the rest did not give any response when i press apply button and neither fulfill the need. Anyway I am new to bi itself. I was asked to work on obiee 11g .
Please help me out to upload the repository using EM.

Oracle 11g Fusion Middleware Control, CGICMD.DAT

Finally, I have Weblogic and Oracle 11g Forms and Reports up and running. Now, I would like to create a Mapping Key in the CGICMD.DAT file, so that all the login information will not show up in the URL when I run a report. Can someone please tell me how to do this through the Middleware Control console? I do know that i have to go through the MBeans System to find "CgicmdConfigMXBean" but it seems like trying to find a needle in a haystack. Also, is there a specific format when creating a Mapping Key? would like to include the path, userid information for connection to the reports.
