Future_cost.calc_date impacted events

Hi all,
happy new year and happy holidays,
just back from vacation.
can some share the list of the events, which causes calc_date changes?
As I can see, not all of the cost_event are causes calc_date changes, is this a bug? or maybe field is a vestige?
kind regards,
Eldar A.

Hi
The problem with a message like this is that it doesn't really tell you exactly where to look for the source of the trouble. You might, if you are lucky, get something from examining the API code in TOAD or similar, at that specific line number. Failing that, then we need to look for probable causes. Child records of an assignment in this case will most likely be:
Element entries PAY_ELEMENT_ENTRIES_F
Personal Payment methods (if payroll) PAY_PERSONAL_PAYMENT_METHODS_F
Spinal Point placements (if using grade ladders) PER_SPINAL_POINT_PLACEMENTS_F
Note this is by no means an exhaustive list of child entities for an assignment!
My guess would be, if the assignment was entered erroneously, is that element entries were automatically created for the assignment by virtue of 'standard' links. To prove this (or indeed refute it!) do:
SELECT * from PAY_ELEMENT_ENTRIES_F
WHERE assignment_id = 19406;
If that gives any rows, then in order to remove the assignment you will need to remove those element entries first. Given that you want to do via APIs, then pay_element_entry_api.delete_element_entry will do it - however, be aware that if you want to actually remove the element entries (and any date-track changes) completely, then the mode to use is 'ZAP', not 'DELETE'. This is also true of your process for removing the assignment.

  • How do I count events falling into three categories?

    Hello everyone,
My name is Sean Cummings. I am very new to Labview and this is my first post on the forum. I work for a testing facility dealing with automotive components. I run test cells and build parts. I recently commissioned a new test cell at our location which came from another one of our facilities. The test cell impacts axles. The Labview program we use to run the cell was created by one of our few programmers. He is extremely busy and works in another facility so I have taken it upon myself to learn more about Labview and try on my own to make improvements to the software. I plan to attend some of the Core Labview classes if I find that I enjoy working with the software (so far i do).
Currently the program is mostly manually controlled. Data paths and controls such as speed are commanded by the operator. There is a 4 second automated cycle in which the Labview VI commands clutches to initate the impact and aquires data from 3 load cells and a speed sensor. Once this cycle is complete the operator must click a button to open a call by reference subvi. The subvi analyzes the impact data and displays a graph as well as several calculated data points. The operator is then required to open an excel spreadsheet and manually enter the data. I created the spreadsheet with conditional formatting to show the operator whether the impact event was within the acceptable range and to track impacts over target, in target range, and under target. Currently each part runs 400 impact cycles and the operator must transfer 6 data points for each impact. In the next couple weeks we will be testing parts going 1640 impact cycles. We need a better solution to make the process more efficient.
My original thought was to have the subvi populate the excel spreadsheet automatically. After several days of trial and error I was able to speak to a programmer from another facility who explained to me that excel was not not a text based software and my methods would not work without the Labview excel toolkit.
I then talked to the engineers within my company and they agreed with me that the excel spreadsheet was not necessary if Labview could track the impact events internally. I then set to work trying to create counters and indicators to track the impact events. For this to work I only need to look at one number. This number is the Total Output Torque from the impact event. I created 3 boolean indicators on the main VI. One for impacts over target, one in range, and one under target. I also created 3 corrosponding indicators to show counts for each. I also need an indicator showing total impact events, and an indicator showing valid impact events (the sum of in range and over target).  I use a control for the target . The range is + or - 5% from target. I have done my best to research and try to do this myself, but I can't quite get it right. I am using while loops to count. I encounter problems with multiple counts for the same event. I would also like to trigger the counters at the same time and not have separate stop commands for each.
For this to be effective I will probably have to make these functions a subvi. I would need them to initiate when the call by reference "analysis" subvi is called and stop when it stops so maybe they can just be part of that subvi.  I need the indicators and control for target to be on the main UI. I also need a button to reset the counts when impact direction and target is changed.
I apologize for any misuse of terminology. I also apoligize if my program is a mess. This is all very new to me and I'm trying to learn as much as possible. Thanks you all in advance for your help.

Wow! Thank you guys for the quick response and pointing me in the right direction!
Altenbach, your example does exactly what I need!
Moving forward I should be able to reference the actual total torque number from the call by reference subvi and have the event structure initiate based on the change of that number correct?
I tried something like this already and for some reason when I add a terminal to the terminal pane on the subvi it does not show up on the main vi. I can only imagine this is because the sub vi is "call by reference". The subvi already outputs an indicator to the front panel of the main vi called "total torque". This is inside a case structure so I don't know how to reference it for the subvi which you created.
Again, I just want to say I am very thankful I am for the help. I am not here looking for free programming help. I am here asking questions because I truly want to learn. I know I will have to spend a lot more time reading tutorials and practicing basics. This program was just given to me last minute and I'm doing my best. Usually I am very resourceful and can find solutions on my own. This one was just over my head. Thank you.

Can someone please let me know how to monitor Ironport using SNMP service?

  • Trunking and the management VLAN

I have gotten my 5010's up and can get to them from mgmt0. The ip address for mgmt0 resides in VLAN 2 for me. I am getting ready to trunk my 5010's back to my 6500's. Do I need to make sure that VLAN 2 cannot be seen through the trunk ports since it resides on mgmt0?

I don't think this is technically right- the MGMT and the data-path aren't actually connected. The MgmT 0 port doesn't have any concept that it's on "vlan 2"- it's just an access port.
Similarly, if VLAN 2 is on the trunk port, the IP address you assigned to MGMT0 isn't going to respond.
If you configured "feature interface vlan" and then put an IP address on VLAN 2, you could mange this box that way- on two separate IP addresses, via the two separate connections.
With the current lack of ability to wrap ACLs around the Interface VLANs, I'm more comfortable NOT using interface-vlan commands, and using a single uplink to mgmt0. Loss of the mgmt0 port is now only loss of the ability to manage the switch, not a data-path impacting event. (unless you need to configure the switch to correct an data-path issue, in which case you've got problems.)
The shift to out-of-band is a nice feature, but it's going to require a big shift in thinking from an implementation standpoint.

  • Event 701 - The Application Impact Telemetry (AIT) Agent is not running because AIT is disabled.

In a survey of several Windows 7 systems, in the Application-Experience Program-Telemetry log, I found daily instances of Information Event 701 "The Application Impact Telemetry (AIT) Agent is not running because AIT is disabled".  The trigger
for this event is execution of the built-in scheduled task to run Aitagent.exe daily at 02:30.
The message "AIT is disabled" is puzzling to me.
I checked participation in the Customer Experience Improvement Program (CEIP) on the idea that a setting to disable participation could translate into "AIT is disabled", but CEIP is set to Yes (participate).
I checked Windows Error Reporting settings - they are set to "Automatically check for solutions and send additional report data, if needed"
I checked the REG_DWORD value AITEnable in HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AppCompatFlags\AIT is set to 0x1, which should indicate that AIT is enabled.
I would appreciate if anyone can explain where/how AIT is disabled.
    Thanks

    Arthur Xie-
Thank you for suggesting installing the
Microsoft Application Compatibility Toolkit 5.6 (ACT).  This is quite an enterprise-level program (the Step-by-Step guide says "We
recommend that you collect your data from approximately 10,000
    computers")!
Anyway, installing the ACT and sending an empty data set to Microsoft worked, but did not eliminate Event 701 when the scheduled task to run AitAgent.exe executed
(as scheduled or manually) or when AitAgent.exe was run from an Administrator command prompt.
Since the scheduled task to run AitAgent.exe is part of a out-of-box installation of Windows 7, and its description states "Aggregates and uploads Application Telemetry
information if opted-in to the Microsoft Customer Experience Improvement Program", it would seem that it would run without error, at least when participation in the CEIP is enabled.

  • Will Deletion of project & event impact movie already sent to .Mac Gallery?

Will Deletion of project & event impact movie already sent to .Mac Gallery? - I want to free up drive space on my MBP (120 just doesn't cut it!), and deleting my multiple projects and events will help immensely. FYI, I have saved all the media DV clips on my external for future use. So I already broadcast / sent medium sized movies to .Mac Gallery, and I assume that since the media files (assuming quicktime .mov) are already on the web gallery (in my iDisk?) that I can delete the iMovie assets without any impact. Is this true? What is a good workflow, given what I have described above?

    WORKFLOW
    1) import clips into iMovie 08
    2) create movie and share the quicktime to my hard drive (for viewing, posting, whatever) ... and broadcast to .Mac Gallery
    3) move video assets (DV files) to external hard drive for future use, posterity, whatever
    4) delete projects and events in iMovie
    5) Run import into Foottrack for a compressed version of the clips on my Laptop
Sounds good to me. Not that familiar with FootTrack as I use iTunes for management of the "portable" files (i.e., single file compressed for iPod, iPhone, TV, and/or web use).

  • Impact on merging iPhoto events on iMovie projects?

I have made several iMovie projects, primarily using photos from various related events in iPhoto.  If I merge the iPhoto events where the pictures are currently located, will the iMovie projects be impacted / ruined / need to be started over?
I am working with the last iMovie and iPhoto BEFORE iLife '11 (have not upgraded to '11 out of fear of losing photos, etc.).  OS s/b most up-to-date Snow Leopard version.  Hardware is a MacBook Pro purchased in summer 2010.

iPhoto Library Manager - http://www.fatcatsoftware.com/iplm/ - is the only solution currently to merge events between different computers

  • Impact of Events

    Hello everyone,
    I've a doubt regarding events.
In our 11gr2 PSU2 env we faced ORA-1031 errors. Contacting support, we came to know that was a bug which wasn't yet filed.
Later, we were asked to set 1031 event.
Whenever we set the events we received many 1031 errors and we'd disable the event once we had enough trace files generated.
I thought the sole purpose of setting events is to provide more/additional trace about a particular event/error. But how come here, setting events throws error and on disabling events we dont see any errors being reported.
Can anybody clarify my doubts regarding events ? and particularly regarding 1031 ?
    thanks

    ora-01031 refers to insufficient privileges
    ORA-01031:
         insufficient privileges
Cause:      An attempt was made to change the current username or password without the appropriate privilege. This error also occurs if attempting to install a database without the necessary operating system privileges. When Trusted Oracle is configure in DBMS MAC, this error may occur if the user was granted the necessary privilege at a higher label than the current login.
Action:      Ask the database administrator to perform the operation or grant the required privileges. For Trusted Oracle users getting this error although granted the the appropriate privilege at a higher label, ask the database administrator to regrant the privilege at the appropriate label.

  • Impact on Registered Events when delete node

Currently I have a node which has more than one database and also has many events registered against multiple database.
Due to Agent out of sync error I am currently getting, I have to delete the node and rediscover it. If I do it then I need to find out what would happen to all of the registered events against the databases of this node. Do I have to create and registered all those events again.
Let me know if anybody has answer to this.
    Thanks.

It is completely absurd that the Calendar changes times when traveling to a different time zone. It's a safe bet to assume that many Blackberry user's are business people. Surely if Blackberry was serious about keeping it's users, it could design software to keep the calendar times as they should be while still updating to the new time zone.
After all, if I make a 10:00 appointment for when I will be in AZ (even though I'm on the East coast), the appointment is going to be at 10:00, and should not show as 7:00 or 8:00 (depending on the time of year) when I arrive there and change time zones. For flights, I input the correct times in the calendar, and repeat5 the times in "Notes" so that I will have the correct flight times regardless of the time zone change. Is is a difficult thing to do--of course not. Should I have to when the phone runs several hundred dollars--of course not!
It seems that RIM's OS has many faults which are equally frustrating, and it chooses not to address them.
Unless RIM gets it's act together, this will most likely be the last Blackberry I will own.
Too bad--it could be a great tool!

Team , Thanks for looking into this  ..

  • Performance impact of using Web Services?

As BEA and other vendors continue to add Web Services support
to their enterprise software, what is your plan for
quantifying the performance impact and the functional
correctness of using web services before going live with the
    final application?
Empirix is hosting a free one hour web event discussion on
web services testing and automated web services testing
solutions on Thursday, January 17, 2-3pm Eastern time.
To sign-up for this web event or learn about other web
events being offering by Empirix this month, go to:
    http://webevents.empirix.com
For your convenience, here is the complete abstract:
The advent of web services has brought the promises of
    integrating multiple software applications from
heterogeneous networks and for exchanging information
    from vendor-to-vendor or vendor-to-consumer in a
    standardized way.
As web service technologies are deployed within and across
organizations over the next several years, it will be
critical that web services undergo performance testing.
As with any enterprise software project, the adoption of
proper test methodologies and use of testing tools will
play a key part in the overall success or failure of
projects utilizing web services. In a compressed
software project schedule, an organization must
quickly determine if its web services will operate
successfully under a variety of load conditions. Like other
web-based technologies, successful web services will need
to respond quickly and correctly when implemented.
During our presentation, we will discuss the testing
challenges created by this emerging technology, along with
the variety of testing solutions available. Automated
web service testing will be discussed and demonstrated
using FirstACT, the first web services performance testing solution available
on the market. Using a sample web
service, automatic test case creation, scalability testing,
and results analysis will be explored.
If you wish to download FirstACT prior to the web event, you can do so at:

    Hi,
We test several frameworks and find out that usually JAXB 2.0 performs better than XMLBeans, but that is not a strict rule.

  • Events 1863 and 2093 post SBS 2003 SP2 Migration to 2008 R2 SP1

    I have migrated AD from a 2003 SBS SP2 server to a 2008 R2 SP1 server using the following article: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd379526.aspx
I realize now that this was not the right article as it is for 2003 SP2 Standard, however I don't need to migrate Exchange or other applications.
That was 3 days ago, yesterday morning I noticed the following events in the 2008 error log: Error 1863 and Warning 2093
There appears to be no issue with the domain currently, everyone was able to login in without issue this morning. Both servers are continuing to run, although I plan to demote the 2003 and decommission the hardware if there are no issues (as advised by the
post-migration instructions of the above article). I don't need the 2003 SBS server anymore, should I just transfer the FSMO's now and demote the server?
I can provide full text of the events, but I have removed identifying information:

    Computer:      SERVERNEW.generic.local
    Description:
The remote server which is the owner of a FSMO role is not responding.  This server has not replicated with the FSMO role owner recently.
Operations which require contacting a FSMO operation master will fail until this condition is corrected.
    FSMO Role: CN=Schema,CN=Configuration,DC=generic,DC=local
    FSMO Server DN: CN=NTDS Settings,CN=SERVEROLD,CN=Servers,CN=Default-First-Site-Name,CN=Sites,CN=Configuration,DC=generic,DC=local
    Latency threshold (hours): 24
Elapsed time since last successful replication (hours): 25
    User Action:
This server has not replicated successfully with the FSMO role holder server.
    1. The FSMO role holder server may be down or not responding. Please address the problem with this server.
    2. Determine whether the role is set properly on the FSMO role holder server. If the role needs to be adjusted, utilize NTDSUTIL.EXE to transfer or seize the role. This may be done using the steps provided in KB articles 255504 and 324801 on http://support.microsoft.com.
    3. If the FSMO role holder server used to be a domain controller, but was not demoted successfully, then the objects representing that server are still in the forest. This can occur if a domain controller has its operating system reinstalled or if a forced
removal is performed.  These lingering state objects should be removed using the NTDSUTIL.EXE metadata cleanup function.
    4. The FSMO role holder may not be a direct replication partner. If it is an indirect or transitive partner, then there are one or more intermediate replication partners through which replication data must flow. The total end to end replication latency should
be smaller than the replication latency threshold, or else this warning may be reported prematurely.
    5. Replication is blocked somewhere along the path of servers between the FSMO role holder server and this server.  Consult your forest topology plan to determine the likely route for replication between these servers. Check the status of replication using
repadmin /showrepl at each of these servers.
The following operations may be impacted:
Schema: You will no longer be able to modify the schema for this forest.
Domain Naming: You will no longer be able to add or remove domains from this forest.
PDC: You will no longer be able to perform primary domain controller operations, such as Group Policy updates and password resets for non-Active Directory Domain Services accounts.
RID: You will not be able to allocation new security identifiers for new user accounts, computer accounts or security groups.
Infrastructure: Cross-domain name references, such as universal group memberships, will not be updated properly if their target object is moved or renamed.
