Future Request: Direct directory link / linking an 'External Source'

Hi,
When working with iTunes and my downloaded music, sometimes i dont want to add the music to my library because it can or will be deleted soon. (in search of an edit or the best quality)
If iTunes is the standard audio player, it can automaticly add the songs to the lib, but thats not what a person always wants..
therefor, for users that are downloading music and deleting a lot also...
it would help very much if there could 'external source' link where iTunes looks to a certain directory!! (a download directory or so, recursive or not..)
Just as Limewire uses the Digital Audio Access Protocol for sharing music in iTunes.. something in the same way would be great!
It would help making iTunes the no.1 player for managing all kind of music the best way!!
And it would help for playing all music on computer
Can anyone agree with me?
Regards,
Rick Beemsterboer
Amsterdam, Netherlands

And i want to be able to play the music on my airport express!

  • Active Directory SSO Sharepoint with External sources

I hope someone can advise me.  We use Active Directory (AD FS 2.0 SAML) for authorization/authentication for SSO.  Our new library platform that is hosted by a 3rd party complies with CAS 3 (SAML is only supported with CAS 4) they have no plans
to update to CAS 4 anytime soon.
How can I achieve a SSO solution from our SharePoint for users to have seamless access to their respective libraries using the attributes in AD??

where did you see this error ? is there anymore details.
i think the account you are using for Sync does not have Replicate Directory Changes permission in AD. follow below article and give Replicate directory changes permission.

  • Displaying a link to an external page as a "catalog"

    Hi,
I was trying to display a link to an external web page as a catalog in SRM, e.g. http://www.google.com.
This should be possible somehow, an SRM will even provide a link to go back, "return to SRM application".
I created a web service to do this. I'm not sure what Business Type of Web Service is the most appropriate. So I chose "01 Product Catalog" for the time being.
So far my call structure is very simple:
    No.      Parameter               Parameter Value     Type
    10                    http://www.google.com     0 URL
    100     BYPASS_OUTB_HANDLER               2 Fixed Value
    110     HOOK_URL                         4 Return URL
When I click on that link I get the message "405. Thatu2019s an error. The request method POST is inappropriate for the URL /."
So I set the flag "use HTTP GET to call Web Service". But the error remains.
Does anyone know how to set this up?
    Best regards,
    Marcus

    Hi Markus,
I expect that a page like google is not expecting a POST request, i.e. the POST request is used to try to submit a form or request to the server, google does not expect such a request.
Maybe try using a test catalog like that provided by Wiley or similar (http://catalog.wiley.com/marketbasket.cgi), see http://www.wiley.com/legacy/authors/apiinfo/ for more info on this.

  • What is the best way to submit a Concurrent Request over a DB Link?

    Hi,
We have a requirement to submit a Concurrent Request over a DB Link. What is the best way to do this?
What I've done so far is I've created a function in the EBS instance that executes FND_GLOBAl.APPS_INITIALIZE and submits the Concurrent Request. I then call this function remotely from our NON-EBS database. It seems to work fine but I found out from metalink article id 466800.1 that this is not recommended.
Why are Concurrent Programs Calling FND_GLOBAL.APPS_INITIALIZE Using DBLinks Failing? [ID 466800.1]

Can anyone suggest a better approach? Please log a SR and ask Oracle support for any better (alternative) approach. You can mention in the SR that your approach works properly and ask what would be the implications of using it (even though it is not recommended).

  • How do I add a link to an external site from my navigation toolbar?

I want to add a link to an external page on the navigation bar, but when I right click or use inspector nothing looks useful. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Open the Inspector and then click on Hyperlink to create any link to an internal or external page. It is the second from the end and has the blue hyperlink symbol and yes, take time to look at what is in the Inspector - they are all 'useful' at some time!!

  • Can anyone point me in the right direction for the link to download Acrobat 9 Standard?  I found the link to download 9 Pro but not standard.  Old computer crashed and new computer does not have a CDR/DVD rom drive.

Can anyone point me in the right direction for the link to download Acrobat 9 Standard.  I found the link to download 9 Pro but not standard.  Old computer crashed and new computer does not have a CDR/DVD rom drive.

    Hi,
Standard or Pro would be licensed through your serial number, the download link and downloaded file would be the same for both of them.
Pro or Standard would be determined after you put in your serial number.

  • Can a pdf link to an external file

... so changing the original file changes the pdf?
I've got a dinner riding on this. My co-worker says don't change that Illustrator .eps file - all our pdfs are linked to it! You'll  mess them up!
I say - what? no way...  pdf's aren't linked to external .eps  files (that we imported into Quark and made pdf's) They are standalone docs. I did a test and can't replicate what he says. Using high-res print pdfs.
What you say?  Am I buying dinner?

    Thanks for the input guys.
I've been making pdf's well over 10 years but use only a narrow set of pdf types. I know there is a range of options and things you can do with pdf's that I've never done. This co-worker is actually my boss and he's adamant this has happened to him, pissed that I'm doubting him and won't let me improve a workflow system because of it.
Maybe there is (or was in the past) some type of pdf that can link to an external file and can be changed by revising the external file?

  • DMS Link Table for External Content Repository

Can someone advise in what table is the link to the External Content Repository stored, in SAP's DMS? We are able to save a document using CV01n in documentum, but are unable to determine the table in which the link to the external document id is stored.
It is NOT in TAO01, which would be the obvious choice. Perhaps TAO01 is only used by ArchiveLink and not by DMS.
We know that the link is stored in one of the tables in SAP, because we are able to retreive the document.
    Regards,
    Ajay

    Dear Ajay,
please check if tables DMS_DOC2LOIO, DMS_PHIO2FILE and DMS_PH_CD1 could provide you the necessary data.
Maybe also FM SDOK_PHIOS_PROPERTIES_GET could be usefull.
    Best regards,

  • When I link to an external site, the link does not work, if I right click "Open in new tab" the link works.

When I link to an external site, the link does not work, if I right click "Open in new tab" the link works.

I have not changed any of my preferences and they look like they are as I would have left them.
I tried resetting Firefox and deleting the preference file, no change.
By the way, I hate that the tabs are on top and not where they belong above the pages they are for. There should still be a way in Firefox to put them back without having to use an add-in.

  • Adding a link to an external file into SQL table

I would like to add a link to an external file (picture stored on my local hard drive) into SQL table. Then use C# to query data from SQL table and export to Excel.  I got everything working ok except the link to external file. I would like to export
this link to Excel and user can click on the link to open the file. How can I accomplish this? Thank you very much in advance for your help!

In that case the Filetable feature could be of interest to you. With this feature the file can be part of the database, and still be accessible from tools outside SQL Server.
I don't really have any good examples handy, but if anyone knows of a good blog post that could help Nhan, please feel free to add.

  • FF 3.6.12 will not open links from external sources (Outlook, Dreamweaver, Digsby, etc)

I have just upgraded to Firefox 3.6.12 and links clicked in an external source will not open in Firefox.
Firefox is set as my default program for web browsing. I have tried to open links from Outlook, Dreamweaver, Digsby, and other programs.

I have the same issue, opening links from external programs like Word or Thunderbird does not work. This used to work before the update to 3.6.12

  • Link to an external .js from PDF?

Using Acrobat 9 Pro, I have a PDF document that I want to link to an external .js file (for SCORM and LMS purposes).  I have imported a multimedia object (swf) into the PDF and it needs to call several Javascript functions.  Instead of copy/pasting each function of Javascript code into each PDF (menu path: Advanced > Document Processing > Document Javascripts), is it possible to write a line of code that links to an external .js file?
    In HTML, it would be someting like <HEAD><SCRIPT type="text/javascript" language="Javascript" SRC="pdf.js"></SCRIPT> </HEAD>.
    Possible?

Try67, thanks.  You answered my question precisely.
Of course, I now realize that I asked the wrong question.  Since the PDFs will be accessed via an LMS on a server, I cannot (at least, I don't think I can...need to verify...) use a folder-level script.  I'm pretty sure I need a document-level script.  Now, if that means I have to copy/paste all the functions I need into a document-level script, it would work, but I suspect that becomes a maintenance nightmare down the road if I ever have to update/replace code on each PDF.
It would be much easier to have a document-level "link" to an external .js file, but I suspect that is impossible based on what I've read in the Acrobat Javascript reference.  Am I wrong?

  • How to fix forgetting previously opened tabs when starting Firefox by clicking on a link in an external application?

Hello, I have the option Startup: "Show my windows and tabs from last time" enabled. Works fine, except when Firefox starts when I click a link in an external application (typically Thunderbird). Then, the new link gets opened in a new tab, Firefox remembers the number of tabs I had opened when I last closed it, but all the "old" tabs are blank. Can I somehow fix this behavior?
Disabling add-ons does not help. Clicking on a link in an external application when Firefox is already opened works OK. I have been using Firefox for quite a short time now (probably half a year) and this problem was always there (i.e. it is not due to a new update).
    Thank you.

If Firefox is closed and an external link opens Firefox, you need to go to History > Recently Closed Tabs and open those tabs before closing Firefox. If you don't the "previous session" will be gone and only the one page that the external program opened will be the new "previous session".
If that isn't satisfactory, you'll need to install a "session manager" type extension to remember more than "the last session" only.
