Fuzzy Text over JP2 file when I Dolly In.

I am animating a map in Motion 5, then using camara to fly over and zoom in. The text looks fuzzy on the canvas, and is fuzzy when in close. Shouldn't it be clear? It was added in motion, not imported. My Render is set to Best, Text Rndering to Flatten. The JP2 stays clear when I zoon in.

Some further testing has imporoved this condition. Increasing the depth of field of the camera, and using the best rendering resolution seems to fix the problem, but slow down preformance to a crawl.

Making sure text written to file when window closes

Hello,
I built an application, and I have the action set for the frame to close out my BufferedWriter stream when the application is being closed down. However, I want to make sure that things are written to the file just in case the application crashes and I have to close it out with task manager.
I'm not fully acquainted with the java.io packages for file handling...just surface.

If something is going to crash then, by definition, you are not in control of the situation. But Java applications don't crash, do they?
You might like to look at java.lang.Runtime.addShutdownHook(Thread t);

Overly Huge Files when Importing from DVC tape to IMovie

When importing from my Canon ZR 600 60 minutes of tape equals 16.1 Gigs
I am looking for what I am doing wrong I have 10 hours of Disney I would like to turn into 5 dvd set not 15 dvd set. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

About 13-14 Gb per hour miniDV tape movie is as iMovie (QT) works. When
it is stored down to a DVD disk it will be converted into a working format for
DVD disks and that will mean that 1 hour will take up a DVD disk in max
quality and 2 hours in slightly less quality. iDVD doesn't care about how
many Gb Your movie takes up in iMovie or FinalCut JUST the amount of minutes
this includes the DVD menues that also need spaces.
55 min movie and 5 min for menues is OK in max qual.
115 min + 5 for slightly less.
You also need to think about how much free space there is on Your hard disk.
After Your 115 min movie is ready to go to iDVD there should be about 20Gb
free space left or iDVD will run into problems.

How can I create a text pop up window in my Pages document? I want text to pop up when the reader hovers his/her cursor over a certain word in the document. I am teacher. So for example when a student came to word he/she did not know, if he/she hovered the cursor over the word, a defintion or other information would appear. You can do this in Word using bookmarks/hyperlinks but I can't figure this out in Pages. I can link it to another point in my Pages document but I just need the text to pop up - not take the reader to another location. THANK YOU!!!!!!

Have you tried Word for Mac?
You will need to test if links survive export or printing to .pdf

Hi people,
I really need to know how you create the 'cream pop-up info text boxes' that appear when you hover your mouse over an object on a webpage (and often in any program e.g. Photoshop) for more than a second. I need to know because the logo on my website is the navigation tool used to return to the homepage. It is always found in the top left so the user can always click it to return.
The only problem is im the only one who knows that when you click my logo, you return to the homepage. I need one of these 'cream info boxes' (forgive my lack of knowledge) to appear so the user will figure it out.

Is there a way to save over previous files without renaming when packaging InDesign files?

I am finding the file management a nightmare with having to package my work from Creative Cloud at home in order to work in Creative Suite at school. I usually have to do this back and forth multiple times for the same project creating multiple files and folders - it is too confusing!
I would like less clutter by having the option to save over my packages without having to rename resulting in yet another packaged folder for the same project to my storage devices. Is there a way to do this? I searched and am not finding answers to this particular issue.
Normally I would not package before the project is complete but I need the IDML files in order to continue my work when at school. Any answers or tips around how to manage this would be appreciated.

Thank you Bob! I understood all of that. My frustration was that I have to give it a new name every single time I package thus creating yet another version of the same file on my system. I don't like cluttering my system with multiple versions of the same project. I work with duplicating layers inside the same document so I can always revert back to something done earlier without having to dig around and open an old file. I think this lack of saving over a file option is a flaw in the way the software is designed. One should always have the option to re-save over an old file with the same name. Just my opinion!

Select the File generator layer and in the Inspector, select the Layout pane and in Layout controls, set the Layout Method to Paragraph. Narrow your margins and the text will "flow" into multiple lines.
You can also keyframe the paragraph layout position. [Probably more info than you want here.]
That said, you can only display *one line* at a time per File Generator. (If you're up to date with Motion [v5.1.2], you can use more than one File generator.) The generator does not accept any other characters for returns other than newline and carriage return.
I've never tried it, but thinking about it, you can set Tab stops in the Paragraph layout (double click in the layout rectangle and a ruler should appear over the top -- right click on the ruler to set tabs). If you go back into the original text file and where you need to break lines into two or more, setting a left tab stop in the layout very near the end of a line might force the tabbed text into the next line (did I make that clear enough??)

Look at the following examples shipped with LabVIEW Professional and LabVIEW Full. Event structure example is not installed with Base package.
Open up 'Example Finder', click on the 'Search' tab, enter keyword 'events' and you fill find several examples. The ones of interest for you is 'New Event Handler.VI" and 'Old Event Handler.VI', where the first uses the event structure and the other uses the standard state machine architecture.

Spotlight does not show the path or location of a file anymore when hovering with the mouse over the file

in Leopard Spotlight used to show you the path /location of a file when you stayed with the mouse over the result. As sometimes I just look for the location of a file not to open it like a mp3 file. It would be nice to have a opiton in spotlight to contorl or right click a file and then give the option to say show in finder. that only works when you have your results show up in finder first and takes a bit longer. or maybe in the new prieview window to show the loaation or give you opitons what to do with the file
Just an idea to spotlight even better

When you hover over a file in spotlight list (or select with up/down arrow) you can also hit command-R to open the folder where the file is located. Kind of like 'Show Original' for aliases.
But yeah, Apple really needs to just show the directory path on the hover pop-up by default. Obviously, when you do a search you'll most likely get several files with the same name - we need to see the locations to tell them apart. One of the main reasons to do a file search is to simply find out 'where the file is located' - not necessarily open the file. Seems pretty shortsighted to not show the file location in the search result.

You can't do it in one step. Add to iTunes first, Once the tracks are in iTunes you may convert to a different format.
