FV50 Editing Option all user IDs Documnet type Mass changes .

My requirement is i have 100 user IDs . we need to change in Park document t-Code FV50 and dispaly Document type in screen . But every user id open and change Editing Option and select __Document type ready to inpurt__ is long practice . Please give advice me for Mass changes or any varient for same .

Yes, you can do mass change to accounting editing options of several users at a time with the help of your BASIS consultant.
Go to SU10
Enter all of your user names
Select all
choose change button
Parameters Tab
Add Parameter FO3
Enter parameter value as ' 2'
SAVE
Choose YES
Note: your parameter value SPACE+2 (' 2')
Done

Hello FI experts,
An user is trying to execute a tcode FV50 and clicking "Editing Options" to make changes to "Doc.Type option" from "Document type hidden" to "Enter with short name" under " Special functions for single screen transactions" section.
When the user clicks SAVE button in "Accounting Editing options" screen, user is getting the the error message "Enter a valid value".
Can anyone tell me how to change this option and resolve this error?
There are users they are successfully able to change it and I am even able to change the document type options without encountering this error.
Any help on this is much appreciated!

All user id's who made changes to the queries since created in production

Hi all,
I have queries and structres in Production, and there are many users using the queries and strcutres and making changes to queries and structures. The end user are trained to become power users. So I want to know the all the user ids who made the changes to queries or structures since created. If I go to properties I can know only the last changed user id and owner of the query or strucure.

Raj,
in general BW does not keep a change history. Typically the user ID of the creator and the one who changed an object the last time is stored.
If you want "control", then have user create objects in development and transport them. The transport system will provide a complete change history (consistent through all objects, not just queries).

Typically, you change the protection level as listed in the following steps:
During development, leave the protection level of packages set to the default value,
EncryptSensitiveWithUserKey. This setting helps ensure that only the developer sees sensitive values in the package. Or, you can consider using
EncryptAllWithUserKey, or DontSaveSensitive.
When it is time to deploy the packages, you have to change the protection level to one that does not depend on the developer's user key. Therefore you typically have to select
EncryptSensitiveWithPassword, or EncryptAllWithPassword. Encrypt the packages by assigning a temporary strong password that is also known to the operations team in the production environment.
After the packages have been deployed to the production environment, the operations team can re-encrypt the deployed packages by assigning a strong password that is known only to them. Or, they can encrypt the deployed packages by selecting
EncryptSensitiveWithUserKey or EncryptAllWithUserKey, and using the local credentials of the account that will run the packages.

FB60- Editing Options Problem

I have a problem with editing options in FB60 .
I want to change DOC.type option From Document type hidden To Doc type ready for input, then got error message 'Enter a valid value ' .
Is there anybody see that kind of error message ?

since you have changed the document type ready for input, you have to key in which document type (ex. SA, AB, etc.) at the time of entry.

Restriction of Edit option in InfoView

Hi All,
I have created one universe and based on that created one report using WEBI. Now when user running report from its giving data but user can able to Edit the report in Info View.
How to restrict the Edit option for users and also tell if the user will do some changes whether it will reflect to database too?

Is the edit option is appearing in the InfoView or the user is able to change text values data deletion from the output data.
If Edit button appears means you can restrict it by access rights. that is for that particular user you have to give only View and View on demand rights at the CMC level.
In the second case if the infoview is in the interactive mode the user can delete data, change column and row length etc but one thing you have to notice that he cannot save the file since it is disabled for him if there is any access rights.

Feedback visible for all users?

Hi,
we want to use the feedback option in KM. In the feedback iView under Details SAP says "Feedback allows comments to be sent to the item's author, who finds all feedback listed here. You only see feedback you have sent. You can delete your feedback later."
Our problem is that all users can see and delete the feedback from all users. I tried to change permissions for the resource but had no success.
Any ideas? We are using EP 7.0 SPS 9

When you add feedback you also have to change the service permissions. Only changing your permissions is not enough
If you have done that, other people are not able to change or delete your feedback...

Retrieve all user id's from LDAP directory and populate in Oracle table.

We've implemented LDAP authentication functionality in our application using Oracle's dbms_ldap package objects.
Now,Is there any way that I can retrieve all user ids from the LDAP directory and store in an Oracle table?
The distinguished name of authorized user as it appears in our LDAP directory is below:
dn=uid=ab0472,ou=people,ou=xyz,o=world.
Now I need to fetch all users uid's from the LDAP directory and populate in an Oracle table.Can somone help me with thoughts.

Have a look at attachments API, since this also does the same thing except that it puts the file in fnd_lobs instead of the custom table.

In home sharing, after selecting source, edit select all, import still unavailable

On my new Win 8 laptop. Installed iTunes 11. Home sharing is working. I can see the old laptop Music under Shared in sidebar. I select it and the music items appear in list. Both are using latest v11 of iTunes. I do edit>select all. Then on bottom, I change all items to items not in my library. Then I want to import but the import button is unavailable. It is greyed and has no outline. The same happened on WinXP.

If I stop and start sharing on my old computer, I would expect to see the library for that computer under home sharing. I don't. There is nothing. And that nothing propogates to the new computer!
The Music is still there in the old computer. I think the 'Import All' command you're referring to would run on the new computer, but only if there is something there for it to recognise.
So I'm still stuck, I'm afraid.
I guess uninstalling and re-installing iTunes might work, but I'm not keen!

Mass change on production order (assembly type) to put deletion flag status

Dear all,
I've make a mass change on production orders to settle the status DLFL through the Tcode CO78.
Some of the production orders are "assembly order" type. Those could not be up-dated with the DLFL because there are linked to customer order. The customers orders are closed.
What can I do to change the status for this kind of production orders. It is necessary for me to be able to put the DLFL status in order to improve the process of production closure done each month.

Illustrator's font is different for some reason and hard to read, I need to change it so i can read all the tabs and file names. Like file, edit, options, type, select, effects..... swatches, layers.. every tab is in a different font that is hard to read

I need to know how to change it so I can get back to a steady workflow.
For example..
File, edit, options, type, select, effects, view, windows, help..... pathfinder, layers, swatches, stroke, and the file name (all the tabs)

New Apps User defaults with all User Edition Privileges - Security Breach?

Please check the following Scenario/Issue and please let me know if anyone has a solution for it.
1. In Apps, created following Responsibilities
- Payables Inquiry-Only User
- Projects Inquiry-Only User
2. In Discoverer Admin, Tools->Privileges, assigned following privilege to "Payables Inquiry-Only User"
- User Edition Parent only (unchecked all child privileges such as Create/Edit Query)
3. In Discoverer Admin, Tools->Security, mapped following Responsibilities/Business Areas (BA)
- Resp: Payables Inquiry-Only User BA: AP Payables
- Resp: Projects Inquiry-Only User BA: PA Projects
4. In Apps, created user DISC_INQUIRY_USER, assigned following responsibilities
- Payables Inquiry-Only User
- Projects Inquiry-Only User
5. At this stage, if user connects to User Edition;
- user is able to create new query in BA: AP Payables or BA: PA Projects depending on login Responsibility
- By default Discoverer assigns all User Edition Privileges to new Apps User including Create/Edit Query

1. Create new Apps User DISC_INQUIRY_USER, assign it Inquiry-Only Responsbilities
2. Login to User Edition - DISC_INQUIRY_USER: Payables Inquiry-Only User
- User can inquiry Workbooks associated with Resp: Payables Inqiry-Only user
- Should not be able to create new workbooks
3. Login to User Edition - DISC_INQUIRY_USER: Projects Inquiry-Only User
- User can inquiry Workbooks associated with Resp: Projects Inquiry-Only User
- Should not be able to create new workbooks
Issue
There is time-gap between creating Apps User and login to Discoverer Admin to remove user privileges. This is security Breach, is their any way to change get around it.
- Discoverer gives precedence to Responsibility Privileges over User Privileges. Is their any way to change it?
- Is it possible to change default Privileges for new Apps User?
- I am facing this issue in Discoverer 4.1.48, Does discoverer Admin behaves differently in latest Versions?

So, the ID of privilege 'Save Workbooks to Database' is 1014. This privilege exists in table in spite of in Discoverer Administrator this option UNCHECK for user PUBLIC.
This is a REAL BUG!!!
Then I executed query
delete from eul5_access_privs where ap_id = 3016
and after that all became right.
Now please explain me this bug. And I have question - which privileges have IDs 1013 and 1018?

Editing Options - Document Type 'Ready For Input'

I have a client who wants the default editing option for all users to have the Document Type set to 'Ready For Input'. Is this possible? I have explained how each user can change the own entry but they are not happy with this.
Any ideas?

The requirement here is to track the link between 541 and 542 ,
The processor PO is updated by user in PO field and also added the vendor field (custom) which is again updated by user
while doing 541 on saving exit finds out the latest PO number for combination of Vendor and material and updates it in one field
Hence 541 document always contain the processor PO ,and vendor PO
Normally client use MB1B for this but , if required MIGO can not be used because of this PO field constrain

Hi! I would like to know if there is any possibility to remove the option "Set as default background..." from the right-click menu on a picture, for all users. I know that's possible to edit userContent.css or userChrome.css, but this concerns only a profile at a time and being in a domain, I would like to set this for all people using Firefox.
Can it be possible to edit a mozilla.cfg file to get the same result?

AFAIK then there is no way to do that system wide. You can only do that via userChrome.css or an extension like the Menu Editor per profile .You can install extensions globally, but the user will have to enable them anyway. That is not required for userChrome.css code.

Changing default open with for file type for all users

can I change the default app to open a specific file type for all users and not juist for my user?

What applications are offered for open with depends on the application itself informing the system it can open certain files, plus your own custom selections for opening files. Evidently the alternate app you want to use does not claim to be able to open the files you are assigning it. If you have a plist editor and know how to use it you could edit the info.plist file inside the application itself to add the file type you want to the application's declaration of file types it will open. Then restart so the system will read that declaration. I think it would be far easier to simply launch the application and then drop a file you want it to open onto its icon in the Dock.
