Sorry, not sure how to screenshot on my computer, but this is what is says word for word:-
The Ipad could not b synced because the computer is not longer authorised for purchased items that are on this ipad.
To authorise this computer for items purchased from the iTunes Store, choose Store>Authorise this computer.
I have done all of that but not luck. That's when I tried deauthorising all computer which it did ok. I then authorised my Macbook pro again, it said I had one computer now authorised. I tried to delete apps via Itunes then sync to my iPad, but the above message keeps popping up & it wont do what I want.

Finding IP address of all computers connected to a LAN

Not sure if this is the correct place to post but I would like to know how I find the local IP address of all computers connected to my LAN without manually entering ifconfig | grep inet on every machine

Do you need to know specifically which IP address is used by which machine? or just a list of IP addresses that are used?
If the former, there really isn't much option other than walking through the machines. You can query the ARP table to find the MAC address of each machine but unless you know the MAC address of every device on your network that's not going to help much.
If you just need a list of used addresses, though, then pinging the broadcast address should get you close. The broadcast address is the last address in your subnet, so if you're using 192.168.1.x with a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0 then your broadcast address is 192.168.1.255.
In that case:
ping -c 1 192.168.1.255
will send out a broadcast ping which should get returned by every device on the LAN. Note that some devices may be configured to not respond to broadcast pings, so it may not be an absolute list.

How to "deauthorize all computers" in iTunes?

A computer has died I am attempting to deauthorize all computers in iTunes in order to remove it from the authorized computer list. However, none of the other "authorized" computers display the "Deauthorize All Computers" option on the "Store" menu in iTunes. I am running ITunes 12.0.1.26. Why is the "Deauthorize All Computers" not being displayed and how do I deauthorize the dead computer without it?

Status of Itunes library after deauthorizing all computers

When I deauthorize all my computers, does my itunes library remain intact, even music received from cd's and 3rd party. Will I be able to authorize my computer to play the same library as before.

Yes. Deauthorizing all computers simply clears the link between all computers and a particular iTunes sign-on ID. Once you re-authorize any computer you want associated with that iTunes ID again, then that ID will be able to download and play songs purchased by that ID in the iTunes library on the computer that has been authorized to it.
The only thing you need to remember is that a "Deauthorize All" function can only be done for a particular Apple/iTunes ID once a year.

Just purchased a new iMac and somehow all of my licenses are consumed between existing/old computers and I am not allowed to synch my iTunes library using Match. Looking at the on-line help provides guidance to choose a "deauthorize all computers" option from the Store drop down in iTunes but I only have these options:
Obviously, I need to figure out how to do this and then reauthorize from each of my 5 machines. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Here is my issue. I run a secure wireless network at my home, consisting of 1 desktop (wired) and 1 laptop (wireless) after setting up the network, and turning on file sharing, and sharing drives, the network works fine for a short while. All drives are visible in "My network places" but when I try to access them, I get the error " \\drive\folder not accessible you might not have permission to use this network resource. All computers can use the internet no problem, and appear to be able to see each other, but cannot access each other. The signal is excellent, and the internet is fine as well. Is there any help that you can give me? I am not sure what is happening. No settings are being changed, it just seems that the network connections just disappear. Also, under my network places, the remote drives show up as under the Internet section of the window. Thanks in advance for any help you may be.

Have you checked all firewall settings? Turn off all firewalls on all computers and try.

Part of the answer depends on the size and topology of your network.
If I recall correctly, appletalk is non-routable, so you will not be able to see beyond your local subnet.
If it is allowed at your site, to see outside your subnet, and if they are so configured, you may be able to telnet into your routers/switches for realtime data.
If you are using DHCP, the easiest way may be to monitor the DHCP server - it should be able to tell you what IPs it has used/are available, and to what machine each IP is assigned.
Fixed IP:
My enterprise (windows) WAN uses arcane naming conventions for the CPUs (meaning we can't determine the user by looking at the machine name) - so we use an intranet web based database with CPU name, IP, MAC address, user ID (amongst other things).
We have at least 2 administrators per subnet; each maintains a private spreadsheet of assigned/free IPs.
Of course, databases/lists are only as good as the input data
ping and tracert also have their uses in troubleshooting, and are part of Network Utility.

Part of this answer depends on server configuration details that you haven't provided.
Are you looking for 'bandwidth' as in total bytes transferred for any given site? or are you looking for a megabits-per-second network throughput calculation?
Are your various sites logging to separate log files? or a single, unified log file?
If you want a total bytes transferred calculation, then that data is stored in the standard log files, so a simple parser that adds up the response sizes would suffice - it will tell you that x number of bytes/megabytes were transferred.
A bandwitch utilization graph (e.g. mbps) is a little trickier, though.
Are your sites running on the same port, using name-based virtual hosting to separate the traffic, or are they running on different ports?
If different ports then you may be able to implement some kind of network monitoring, but if they're all running on the same port (e.g. 80) then that doesn't work - you're down to Apache logging.
The standard Apache logs, though, don't include enough data to calculate a bandwidth graph. It does include timestamps of requests, and the total bytes in the reply, but that's not enough - the timestamp is only accurate to the second, and there's no indication of duration... for example, a 1mb web page served in 1 second equates to 8mbps, but that same file transferred in 30 seconds is only about 273kbps.
Since the transfer time is required to calculate the bandwidth utilization for the site, you'll need to amend your logging to include the transfer size. You'll need to enable mod_logio and add the %O (output bytes) and %T (request time) variables to your log format. Only then can you calculate the bits-per-second throughput of your site.

Monitoring bandwidth on wrvs4400n

First time poster and I'm pretty green with routers. Is there anyway to monitor and report on who's hogging bandwith on a network with the Cisco WRVS4400N? If so, how do I go about setting it up?
Ideally I would like to know which local IP address is hogging all the bandwith. From there I can figure out who's doing it. I have suspicions but no evidence.

You could monitor the switch end & check the utilization of switch port traffic. If you do not see the switchport being utilized heavily you can assume your wireless traffic is not that high.
Also make sure all your switchports are 1Gbps (not 100Mbps) as 2602 throughput is more than 100Mbps.

Monitoring Bandwidth Use

Now that Comcast is placing a limit on bandwidth use, I would like to know if there is a way to monitor bandwidth usage on the ATV. Comcast advised that you can download software onto computers that monitor bandwidth usage. However, I'm not sure if this would work on ATV.
My concern is that we use our ATV for a huge percentage of our media content.
Anyone else concerned about this bandwidth limit?

In some cases the interface with your router will allow you to reset your up and down data count, you could possibly monitor your usage that way.
