Fx 5200 - Tdr128

hello all guys....have a problem....:
when i setup the driver of nvidia any one.....after i restart it my computer appear a black screen to me but when i uninstall it it's work ....screen apear normally....but when the screen apear black if i restarted it no thing happen the same case...but if i shut it down ....and open again..my pc it's apear and work normally what is the problem.... :P ?

A MS signed (WHQL - Windows Hardware Quality Labs) driver is not a requirement - MS may make a big deal about it, but do you really think that MS has the time to test each and every driver (and their many revisions) that are made by all the hardware manufacturers in existence??!
Fact is, by the time MS finally 'certifies' a driver, odds are the manufacturer has built a newer and better one (especially in the case of graphic card drivers).  Odds are, MS only really tests certain driver revisions as submitted to them by the author.  (and, if you happen to install older hardware, the last driver available for that hardware may very well not be signed - what would you do then?!)
That said, you can ignore the warning message that Windows gives you about a driver not being signed.  In fact, you can disable the driver check altogether in - Control Panel -> System -> Hardware tab in Device Manager section click the 'Driver Signing' button and set to 'ignore.'
Finally, after all that, the current nVidia driver (v.56.64) is WHQL signed - browse to it here or go directly (Win XP/2K) here.

  • 5200 Tdr128

Can anyone help me out ?
I have a GeForceFX 5200 TDR128 for about 4 months now and its starting to do my head in. It stop working two weeks ago, when I booted up my PC all that was coming up on my LCD monitor was 'no signal' so I sent it off to be fixed but according to Techs that tested it they said it was fine and that it must of been the DVI cable connecting it to the monitor.
I've tried two new cables and theres still no display but when I either use the DVI/VGA adapters to both the VGA & DVI outputs it works ?
    Any ideas

I've already tried it with another PC and another LCD & CRT monitor its still the same ?? I rang tech support today from where I purchased the card, they maintain its fine and that its either a software or hardware problem. I've put no new hardware in my PC and I've also restored it and no change.
Because tech support say its fine I can't get a replacement or my money back

  • MSI FX 5200 (FX-5200-TDR128), max resolution ?

I have the MSI FX 5200 (FX-5200-TDR128) and the maximum resolution
on the DVI port, connected to my Apple 23" LCD via an ADC-DVI adaptor,
is 1920 x 1080.  The default resolution I need for this Apple 23" LCD is
1920 x 1200 (which is possible with my (noisey) Creative Gefore 4 ti 4200).
    I have Windows ME.
I installed the latest drivers from MSI's homepage and from the CD.
    However, I can't get 1920 x 1200.
So is this a driver issue or card (hardware) limitation) ?
By the way on Linux (using the Xfree86 4.3 "nv" driver, I actually get
    1920 x 1200!)  when using the  MSI FX 5200 (FX-5200-TDR128).
Motherboard is Abit SA7 (mac 4x agp)

The reason monitors offer a variety of refresh rates is to eliminate screen flicker.  For example 60Hz is HORRIBLE if you have flourescent lighting because the flourescent lights refresh/strobe at the same frequency of the monitor.  To eliminate this we increase the refresh rate.
Many flat panels only offer 60Hz.  But LCD displays do not suffer from the flicker-effect that CRT's do.  I don't remember the EXACT reason, but if you do some searching for comparisons between LCD and CRT monitors you'll find out what I'm talking about.
If the monitor says it supports higher and works at higher refresh in analog, then you must use the advanced display properties to force the refresh rate/per resolution.

  • 5200 TDR128 Bios Update

    I've installed MSI Live Update.
It says there's a new BIOS for my VGA card, but it can't updated cause the VGA BIOS is in safe mode, and that i need to change one jumper in the VGA card.
The problem is that there is no jumper in the card.
How can i updated it then???
Is there really a jumper in my vga??? where???
Thank you for all your help.

Well Cachirro, you have to learn the lesson. Vid cards are not like mobos.
Vid cards usually gets 99% funcionality in its bios, and you usually don´t have to update it. Anyway, I have a FX 5200 flashed with nVFLASH (DO NOT USE LIVE UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
I can give you the image file of my FX, but I didnt get any improvements.
What I ve done is the following. As I couldnt update the bios with LiveUpdate (but I didnt have the problem you have) I download the bios image, opened it with X-BIOS Editor and saved it as a .rom file (originally it was a .123 MSI propietary extension file). Then I updated the BIOS from a bootable disk with nvflash and everything went ok. But it is useless to update this card because I dont know of any improvement
Ask me if you want the neccessary files to do this

  • What is nVidia WDM captura driver???

I install the drivers for wdm video capture that I found in the msi web page for my msi fx 5200 TDR128 but I don't now what this driver is for. Also I get a code 10 in the device manager tha says the nVidia WDM video capture(universall) cannot start. it has a yellow mark on it. Does anybody how do make it work? What are this drivers for?
    Thanks
    PhanosP

WDM video capture are for... capturing video :D that is if your card has a video input. If you have video input on your card and you get a yellow "!", welcome to the club !!!
There is a bug (looks like it !) where the WDM drivers fails to load correctly with the main nVidia video drivers.
You can make it run properly by checking this thread . It worked for me. The only problem is that this is an old version driver that does not have all the latest features and I think it will not work for your FX.
You should not have problem with your new FX5600. Probably having error because your card does not have the video input.

  • Fx5200 or Ti 4200 ?

Hello I have a question please. Which is  the best craphic board to buy? Ge force fx 5200 TDR128 or Ge force Ti 4200?
    Thank you.

Please excuse me one more time for asking  this but I don't understand much of graphics cards. After looking the msi forums I found that fx5200 comes with different specifications. There is I think fx52000 T64 or fx52000 TD64 or the fx5200 TDR128 which is the one that some people told that it was better that Ti4200 MX. Whats is the diference between  fx52000 T64 or  fx52000 TD64 or the fx5200 TDR128.
Please forgive if I made any mistakes in the names of the above cards. Thank you and please forgive my ignorance

    MSI FX5200 TDR128 DDR ????

yes, i know that. but i've already purchase a gf4 mx440 two months ago.. and now, i'm thinking to purchuse another card... here, where i live, Brazil, fx5200 costs U$ 121,00 gf4 mx440 U$90,00 and Gf4 TI4200 U$ 160,00... so, in this moment, my options are FX 5200 TDR 128 or stay with GF4 MX440 T 64 DDR, what do you think??? stay or change???

  • Voltage question for Inspire 5200 5.1 Speakers

Hi, I'm new to the forum, so I'm not sure if this question has been answered in the past, but...
I just moved back States-side after living in Pakistan for about 6 months, and I brought my Pakistan-bought Inspire 5200 speakers. I don't know if I should buy a voltage converter or whatever.
On the AC adaptor, it says "PRL. :230V~50Hz 320 mA... SEC. : 2V ~ 4.2A". I read up a little on this stuff, and, unless I'm mistaken, in Pakistan, the voltage is 220V and 50Hz, while in the US, its 110V and 60Hz.
Is it safe to use the speakers here WITHOUT a voltage converter or a step-down transformer?
If it isn't safe, then what specific things do I need to pick up from Radioshack to make sure my speakers work and don't short-circuit or fry?
    Thanks.

If you use the right step down transformer than it's perfectly safe. The problem is, step down transformer worsen the sound a lot unless you use the very expensi've one. But if you can't hear the different than it's good then, trust your own ear anyway. I think the best way is to change the adaptor.

  • 5200 T128. my computer freezes when i try to run games

OK.. the thing is:  i just bought a Geforce FX 5200 T128, with 128 MB DDR (the one without a cooling fan), and when i try to run my DirectX 9 games (GTA: Vice city, NFS: Underground, Hitman: Contracts) my computer locks up in the game's loading screen. These lock-ups occur also, when i set the anisotropic filtering at values higher than 2x, and/or when i turn the V-sync on, but only when i start a game..
ALSO...... the same lock-up occurs when i try to RENAME A FILE ------- the cursor is still blinking, but EVERYTHING else freezes.
So? whats up guys.... last time i checked the FX 5200 had support for DX9, didn't it?
Well, i can't tell exactly if the problem is common to all DX9 games, because i didn't tryed many of them... but the games listed above, all require DX9. Furter more, those games ran on my older Geforce2 MX400, witch doesn't have support for DX9. All my other non DX9 games work fine (well not to the max, because i still have a mainboard witch supports only AGP 4x). If i change my mainboard to one with AGP 8x will the problem be solved?
Also, the videocard, out of my opinion, gets  too hot after i play a game, but i don't think this should be the problem, because when i try to start those games, my computer still locks up, even though i just started it, and the videocard didn't have time to overheat.
The problem occurs with both the driver from the CD that came with the card, and the new Forceware 56.72. I haven't tryed oder drivers. The videocard is not overclocked, and the frequencies are on the standard 200 Mhz (GPU), and 400 Mhz (RAM)
So, can you help me out here.. give me some suggestions? I have written here all the information i beleive are relevant to the problem. My processor is a 1200 Mhz AMD Duron, and 256 MB SDRAM
    -------------  -------------

    Obi One,
Have you tried changing the AGP voltage in your bios to 1.6V?  Got the same problem before when running 3D games.  My system doesn't lock up but it gives me weird display (lot of greens).  It was solved when I increased my AGP voltage setting from 1.5V to 1.6V.  You may want to post your power supply specs too because the FX cards are really power hungry.
    Good Luck

  • How to install wireless on a Satellite 5200-903?

Due to a very bad virus I recovered Windows on a Satellite 5200-903 of a friendly businessman. But back home he saw: no wireless LAN could be used... It seems, that cause the WLAN-switch was "off" no WLAN-driver was installed/recovered...
Now he wants to come to me again tomorrow or the day after tomorrow - and I MUST know, how to install everything until then... he also will bring me his router, so I can configure everything for him on the notebook AND router (WPA, if possible).
But I found TWO drivers: one was a direct download of a small file of "Agere" - wlesslan-xp-7620390.zip
The other is from "Atheros", and the download is a links to another website "Toshiba EMEA - Wireless LAN Driver Portal" http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/wlan/?page=downloads , where I have to identify the WLAN adapter... But: on the first download-site (I mean BEFORE redirected to "Toshiba EMEA") there is at the list "Model" NOT any Satellite 5200.
Which driver is correct? Are there different WLAN-adapters in the 5200-903 series? Is it possible to find out the adapter model BEFORE he gives me the Notebook?
And in the list of drvers for the 5200-903 there was a download "WLAN hotkey" wlkey-xp-2003.zip ? Do I need that too? Do I need any other things?
And does such an "older" WLAN-Access work in another way than the integrated WLAN of a centrino e.g. ? I just know how to log into a WLAN with newer notebooks: button "wireless networks" on the right buttom oft windows, then chose the WLAN name to connect and type in the key, if needed.
Please help me, he lives 100 miles away from me and has not much time, he comes again to me just for that matter, and of course he was not amused when he returned home and couldn't connect to the internet... and he's an ABSOLUTE noob in technical things, so I cannot tell him how to do it on his own and need your help quickly.
    Thanks a lot!

    Hello Herb
I just want to make the whole story short and simply. After installing OS install drivers for hardware components. According the notebook specification for Satellite 5200-903 it is WLAN ready model and I do not know which WLAN card is inside. You friend should have info about that.
If there is Atheros WLAN card the right driver you can find HERE
After driver installation install all Toshiba designed tools and utilities starting with COMMON MODULES. It must be installed at first. WLAN-hotkey utility is important because using FN+F8 key combination you can enable/disable WLAN card.
WLAN software (Atheros WLAN client utility) is not necessary because for WLAN you can use WXP WLAN settings. You can use it if the WLAN card is activated properly.
So I hope you will set WLAN properly and if you need more assistance please write again.
    Bye and good luck!

  • Iris Pro 5200 or similar in 13'' rMBPs

    Hi,
To my understanding the very reason why Apple opted to employ Iris 5100 instead of Iris Pro 5200 in its late 2013 and mid 2014 13'' models is because of the energy (28 vs 47 watt TDP) they drain. In other words, if Apple had employed Iris Pro 5200 in 13'' rMBPs, then the battery life would have decreased compared to earlier 13'' rMBP iterations, which would be a wrong step for Apple and something unacceptable to consumers.
In this regard I was wondering:
    1) approx. how much the battery would decrease if Iris Pro 5200 were employed in Haswell rMBPs?
    2) From the Wikipedia article on Broadwell and its "expected variants" section, I gather that one of the Broadwell CPUs will be a 37 Watt TDP dual-core CPU with an embedded GPU that has an integrated eDRAM. 37 watts is still quite not near to 28 watt but considering the fact that Broadwell is said to be that it will be significatly more power efficient compared to Haswell, do you think such CPU would be employed in the Braodwell iteration of 13'' rMBP without negatively affecting its 9 hours battery life?

Apple doesn't release hardware specs of upcoming models, and such discussion is forbidden on this forum.  Apple has a very tight non-disclosure agreement for those who do test its products.
I am not asking for insider information nor a position at Apple but rather opinions from tech-savvy users who might have insight due to their knowledge and/or using Macs for some time. Just as Oglethorpe who provided a different perspective based on info on previous Apple products. I am sure there must be some forumites who would know technical details and may deduce, at least approx.,  what current 13'' models battery life would be if they were employed with Iris Pro 5200 and whether the Broadwell update may see an integrated GPU with eDRAM similar to Iris Pro 5200. For instance guys at Anandtech make some projections based on their technical knowledge. Are they working at or for Apple? Are they testing for them and violating a disclosure agreement? Of course not! In short, I am really surprised how you could interpret my query this way.
