Fx pen in ps touch

The fx Pen is not working. Is this a common probIem on samsung tab 2?

Hi,
Has it ever worked for you? Have you tried to restart the application, does it work then?
Otherwise the first thing you will see once you touch the canvas is a preview. Once you press the OK button you will be able to draw it on the canvas - i.e. once you left the fx settings mode.
Thanks,
Ignacio

  • Stylus pen with iPod Touch or iPads

Can I use a stylus pen with the iPod Touch or iPads? If yes, can you recommend one? Thank you, June

Yes, you can. Just need to make sure it's a rubber tipped one for capicative touch screens, not for the resistive touch (those are hard silicone tips)
I use Targus styli but there are plenty of others. I'd just stick with a better name such as Targus, Kensington, Belkin since the really, really cheap no name knock offs may not have the quality you want.

  • TX2500 WIndows 7 wacom pen drivers aren't compatible with single touch

    Hello
    I've got a TX2517au that I recently upgraded to Windows 7.
Using the default drivers from wacom (3.0.0.0) I get touch and pen input working for most applications.
Unfortunately this driver provides very limited pen calibration and a lack of pressure sensitivity in Photoshop (which is likely the most important application to many people who would buy this product)
Now upgrading to a more recent version of Wacom's win7 Bamboo drivers gives the pen full functionality and calibration, but removes any touch capabilities.  It seems that all recent wacom win 7 drivers expect multi touch and do not support single touch.
Attempting to mix touch and pen drivers between wacom versions, or force the touchscreen to us the USB INPUT driver causes all sorts of erratic behaviour.  This includes a jump cursor, innacurate touch, loss of touch calibration, etc...
So my question is, is there a proper - non hacked solution to get proper functionality in windows 7 for both the pen and the touch screen?  If not now, is one expected?
I've spent countless hours trying to make these two play nice, and I'm ready to throw in the towel.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Mo

I recently had a similar problem after upgrading from Windows Vista Ultimate to Windows 7 Ultimate. The pen only worked on some screens and not others, the finger touch didn't work at all and the calibration was stuck.
I upgraded all the drivers listed at the HP site but this didn't solve the problem.
My solution was to go into the device manager and to upgrade the individual drivers under 'Human Interface Devices'  for wacom and to upgrade each one individually to the latest version. The new drivers have installed 'Wacom USB Pen' and 'Wacom USB Touch'. There is a now new calibration facility and the pen and touchscreen works fine :-)

  • Do I have to buy touch pen specifically for iPod touch?

I found a site with this touch pen... http://www.matrixmobil.sk/productinfo.php?cPath=157_4638&productsid=6353.
It says it is an universal pen. Can someone tell me whether it will really work with Apple iPod Touch? I find the original stylus pen for iPod Touch quite thick. Thank you in advance. Have a nice day.

    What original stylus pen?
The ipod does not come with a stylus pen, as there is no need for one.
You may be able find a stylus for an ipod, but it would need to made for the ipod touch. Why would you need such a thing?

  • X220 Tablet and Windows 8.1 - Limited Touch drops with Intel HD 3000 is installed?

I have installed Windows 8.1 Professional on on a Lenovo X220 Tablet and everything seems to have installed correctly, although my system, which supported limited touch with 2 touch points in Windows 7, only has Pen Support in 8.1.
I have been able to get the system to be recognized as "Pen and Limited Touch Support with 2 Touch Points" but only if I disable/unintall the Intel HD 3000 driver, and use Microsoft Basic Display Adapter instead.  The problem is that the resolution isn't as crisp.
Any recommendations as to what I can do to get the limted touch to be recognized with the Intel HD 3000 driver?  This one is baffling.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    The X220 Tablet's type is 4296-2WU
Also, the Intel HD Graphics 3000 driver is the latest version compatible with 8.1 64bit - 9.17.10.3517.
Update: I have also tried the previous Intel driver release, 9.17.10.3347, as well as the recommend Intel driver from the support page 9.17.10.2843 and non of them allow my screen to do Limited Touch Support with 2 Touch Points.  Yet, if I disable the Intel driver, and restart, I can.

    Troy,
Thanks for sharing your expeirences and the details of the driver version.
Officially, I don't think Lenovo provided full support for Win 8 on the X220, but as you note it (and the upgrade to 8.1) can work with some limitations.   I'll check with one of our software engineers to see if he may have some suggestions on this one.
I expect you will probably draw some responses from the community as the X220 was a very popular system with a good following.
    Best regards,
    Mark

  • Touchsmart tx2 1160ea only showing single touch in windows 7

as stated above i have just updated to windows 7 32bit ultimate, and i can use multi touch to zoom and things like before but non of the windows 7 things work, like the multi touch in paint and windows explorer.
    The notebook is a touchsmart tx2 1160ea
In system it's saying, pen and touch: pen and single touch input available
     Thanks for any help,
    Luke

In case you have not found the answer yet, try n-trig website as well as hp.
    Found by downloading and installing:
    DuoSense_MTM_RTM_Win7_32bit_TouchSmartTX2_2.239.zip
Rollback_x32.zip ( and using the driver folder within)
    WinTab_Setup_x32.zip
The single point was replacd by 4 points !
of course for a 64 bit OS, a 64 bit version of that software would be needed.
    Hope that works for you

  • Touch screen interfaces with CS 6

i have a Planar PX2230MW and CS6 photoshop will not interface.  any help with newer drivers or nothing as of yet.  the monitor will work with CS5.5

Photoshop does not have any special touch support.  If there is special Photoshop support for your touch device its programmed into the touch devices device driver.  It may be highly configureible for Photoshop.  I have a Wacom Intuos 5 Tablet with 10 finger touch support.  Wacom drivers can be configured for different running application. And there some special settings for Photoshop.  The Intuos 5 is first of all a Pen tablet with pressure support.  It also has express keys and ring.  The Wacom configuration application can be use to program Express keys and ring support. Pen Support and touch support.  Here is what my Photoshop configuration look like.  Right now the touch support is limited to five finger touch. That may change.

  • X200 Tablet - Single Touch? Or No Single Touch?

I just purchased a refurbished x200 Tablet (7450-8HU), and I'm loving it. Upgraded RAM, installed a 120GB SSD, and upgraded it to Windows 8.1 - it's an amazing little machine. Windows 8.1 makes it run like a beast!
But, I do have a question. I've been doing much research, and I do realize that my screen is not capable of 2-finger touch. Yet, I keep reading that the x200 Tablet supports Pen & 1-finger touch. But, my x200 Tablet refuses to recognize my finger, even though in PC Info it says it supports "Pen and Single Touch", and it even let's me calibrate "Touch" (but it won't recognize my finger).
Were there early models of the x200 Tablet that only support Pen, even though the computer says it supports single Touch also? Or is there something wrong with my machine? I've installed all required drivers, and Device Manager says there is nothing missing.
    Thanks!
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I unfortunately can confirm that according to the parts list it is definitely pen only, non-touch; LCD panel, 12.1-in. WXGA, LED backlight (300-nit LCD)

  • Bottom of touch screen

Hello all. I have a Palm TX which I love and use frequently.  The lower portion of my screen however is just dead. I cannot get to menus, disconnect from the internet, etc, as that part of the screen just does not work when tapped on. Also, no matter how frequently I calibrate the pen to the touch screen it is always off a tad bit.  Any suggestions? Thank you!
    Post relates to: Palm TX

If you went through the sticky thread and were not able to fix your digitizer (touch of palm) after trying all those things, the touch on your palm is probably off.
You can decide if you want to purchase a new digitizer - it is a new screen for your palm or if you want to just live with it and always tap a drop lower than the thing you are trying to click.
You can purchase a new digitizer from www.usedpdaparts.com and www.pdaparts.com.

  • Pen / Touchscreen stopped working

    Hello Everyone,
I have a HP Touchsmart tm2t CTO-1100 series. Recently, the Touchscreen and Pen just stopped working. In Computer properties under Pen and touch it used to say Pen with 2 touch points. Now, It says Pen input available. I've tried just about everything to my knowledge to fix this issue and have branched out to HP with no results. Any help anyone could provide would be very helpful.

go to device manager, find Human Interface Device, find HID-compliant touchscreen (maybe under USB input device), try to enable it, click yes and restart PC
If not solved, try to perfrom system restore (back to condition when this PC working fine)

  • Disabling Sideways Scrolling on Trackpad

This has been driving me crazy for years.  Is there a way to make vertical only scrolling happen with a trackpad.  Speficically the one build into the MacBook Pro series, but it would probably be annoying on other trackpads as well.  I find the spreadsheet metaphor is NOT built to use this feature, nor is the word processor metaphor.  I would like to turn it off, preferable for just those kind of programs, but universally if that's not possible.  I've decided the inconvienance of not having it when I need it is MUCH less that have my text slide of the screen when I scroll down.
(Of course, the best solution would be to bring back the side bar arrows, but after two years it's clear Apple is going to be obstinant about that.)

I might chime in if I understood what they wrote.  To tell the truth when I use Photoshop on the surface pro 3 I don't touch the trackpad.  I have always disliked trackpads.  On my Thinkpads I always disabled them and used the beautiful trackpoint.  With the surface Pro 3 The first thing I did was disable tap to select on the touchpad.  When I use Photoshop I use a bluetooth mouse and my fingers and pen on the touch screen.  I have been playing a bit with  Photoshop on the surface pro 3 as a tablet without the keyboard. Using Photoshop without a keyboard is quite a challenge.   The experimental 2x UI actually uses the display at half of its 216 DPI resolution that means 108 DPI near the old 96 DPI screen resolution that system fonts and ui were designed for.  That also means the display is being used at 1/4 the native size four native pixels are used  as 1 2xUI pixel the screen 2160x1440 pixels is being use as 1080x720 display which does not meet Photoshop requirement 1024x768.  Photoshop UI does not fit on screen the Surface Pro 3 Screen using 2xUI. You need a 4k display for the 2xUI experimental UI they would be used like a 1K display 1920X1080 and exceed Photoshop requirement.  The Surface Pro 3 fall short there.
The Microsoft on screen keyboards are not suitable for use with Photoshop even when you enable  the standard keyboard layout or use Microsoft floating on screen keyboard.  I did find a free small Touchkey utility that you can design you own keyboards that work well with Photoshop. You can paint under them and toggle them off and on easily. So Photoshop can be use at full 2160x1440px  216 DPI resolution exceed Photoshop requirement and there is no touchpad just a touch screen a pressure sensitive pen.

  • How to use Sprout to do vector image tracing of jpg images using Adobe Illustrator or Canvas?

How can you project jpg images on the touch screen and trace from them into a vector draw program such as Adobe Illustrator or Canvas?  Can one do such tracing with the magnetic pen on the touch pad.  Can one use the magnetic pen on the touch pad much like a mouse in such programs?
In general how well can one use Sprout with programs like Canvas and Illustrator?

I believe if you export it to wmf or emf you will have a Vector file that can be used in word or powerpoint and can be placed in other programs as can ai files which can be placed in word or powerpoint documents as vector files.
Flash (swf) is another way of saving it and it is also vector.
However even though you say you will never have use for Illustrator which is what I thought in 1995 when I use it to create a logo, I soon found more use for it and every year since have found a project that has rewarded me many times the cost of the application once I had purchased it. Most of which I never thought I had the need for and probably would not have even made the attempt to make the effort and the profit if I did not own the license.
And every time I say to myself what do i have this application for the opportunities arises yet again.
I thought I would share my experience with you.

  • Strange phenomenon when scrolling through develop module images in LR6

I just upgraded to LR6 and so far like what I see as far as performance increases.
Noticed a strange phenomenon today while scrolling through the images in the develop module. These are all rendered images with a preset applied to them.
I notice when I use the arrow key to go to the next image, the image first displays very "flat" or basic and then the rendered image appears a second or two later. If I scroll back the image displays normal rendered.
It is only when I go about 2-3 images back it starts to display the same issue of non-rendered to then a rendered image. If I scroll forward to images I have not seen yet it does the same thing of showing a non-rendered image to a rendered image.
I think I narrowed this down to the "Use the graphics processor" option. If I turn this off  the image loads a lot slower but only displays the rendered version and not the flat and then rendered version.
Turning the GPU option back on immediately does the dual image version. Strange and hard to explain but not sure if anyone else has seen this.
