Fx5600 no Pal-N video out

HI everyone
I´ve got a FX500 xt VGA card, and when i try  to conect to my TV by RCA, I see perfect image in NTSC, PAL-B  and PAL-M but can´t  get PAL-N.
When i set PAL-N out, it seen to give PAL-B signal to my TV.
I´ve a friend whith the same card and have the same problem.
Does someone have any solution?
I´ll be gratefull.
Sorry for my english

Hi,
I've already replied to your post in another thread. It's possible that the manufacturer decided it wasn't worth supporting PAL-M and/or PAL-N as they are mainly used in South America, and maybe they don't think it's a big enough market to go to the extra effort to support it
Cheers

  • Distorted video-out signal on Qosmio F10

    Hi,
Up until recently my video-out function on my Qosmio F10 worked just fine. When I connected my laptop to the TV the other day, using a s-video cable, the picture had turned quite distorted. The picture on the TV flickers and sometimes disappears totally.
My laptop has the Nvidia GeForce FX Go5700 graphics card and I have changed no settings what so ever from the point in time when the video-out was working properly.
To debug I've bought a new s-video cable and also a scart-adapter. Using these I've eliminated that the TV's s-video in port is the problem. It seems to me as if something is wrong with the signal from the graphics card.
I'd be very grateful for a diagnose on this issue.
    Thanks and regards,
    Johan

    Hi,
I've made sure that I use the latest drivers (although the ones that Toshiba provides are not exactly brand new!). I've also made sure that I use the correct TV-format (PAL-B in my case). Furthermore, I've tried both using the s-video port on the TV directly and also using a scart adapter... The result is still the same...
I'm inclined to believe that there is something wrong with the hardware (e.g. a loose contact in the s-video out port). In that case i guess this might be a warranty issue...

  • Iphone Videos & Video Out not working

    Hi All,
I have several TV programmes on my iphone, and yet when i plug the iphone into my TV using the apple composite AV cable, and tell the iphone to display on screen nothing happens, no sound or picture at all.
I have just moved to Chicago from London so the video setting in the Iphone is PAL, could that be what is affecting it, should I change this setting ? The TV in the apartment is quite old fashioned and a brand name I don't recognise (Insignia CRT) so not sure whether it is the TV, but it has the right inputs.
    Any ideas much appreciated
    Thanks

    Dr. L,
The previous iPod's did not support component video out for newer televisions that support it. The box for the older Video out cables do not say they support the iPhone.
The current video out cables are available in either component or composite video out. They also say they support the iPhone on the box.
In addition when shopping the Apple Store online for iPod or iPhone accessories there is a compatibility guide which shows icons of the iPod models or iPhone that are supported.
Overall my personal experience is that this, and other Apple specific ones, are much smaller compatibility, and downtime driver for IT than many of them I have run across supporting a variety of computer and networking platforms over the last 23 years.
    Hope this helps,
    Nathan C.

  • S-Video out and aspect ratio

    Hi,
I'm think of getting the Apple Video adaptor for use with my Sony Widescreen TV. As I understand it, this adaptor outputs an S-video signal that mirrors the iMac's built-in display.
Will this display in true widescreen on my TV or will it be in a 4:3 aspect ratio? Is there a way of choosing between the two?
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks

Thanks for the reply. I don't think my question was a clear as it could've been.
What I really want to know is: will my iMac output s-Video that is anamorphic widescreen. i.e. will I be able to fill my TV's screen without "stretching" a 4:3 image?
Or, is the iMac's s-Video out limited to Standard PAL or NTSC 4:3 without support for anamorphic enhancement?
I know that the iMac supports 4:3 and 16:10, but widescreen TVs are 16:9.
    Thanks for your help.

  • Video out on

    Hi there,
I am trying to connect my zen player to TV using Sony RCA (AV) cables. and when I do that, I get a message on Zen's screen as "switching to AV out display" or something... and then nothing comes up on TV's screen.
I tried switching between NTSC and PAL signal on Zen's system settings, but still no luck.
Could some guide me what am I doing wrong?
I am aware that Zen video out works with Creative's proprietary AV cable and I am using Sony cable, is that the culprit's

Have you tried working with a different computer?
What does it look like when you capture with iMovie?

  • Video-out Monochrome

I've looked around the forums for this problem and found something similar, but don't know how to solve it.
I'm connecting my video-out on my graphics card to my line in for the TV.
Anyways, the picture comes up black and white on the TV and I've tried messing around with every little thing that everyone suggested, but it doesn't work still.
The S-Video connection on the graphics card is only a 4 pin, not an 8 or 9 pin as other people have suggested that might be the problem...
Any help to get this to color would be greatly appreciated.

Does your video card have a composite video output (usually a yellow RCA socket), or only the 4-pin S-Video socket?
If it only has the S-Video (aka Y/C) socket, and your TV only has Composite input, you either need a special cable that combines the Colour (C) signal with the Luminance (Y) signal, or (possibly) you need to tell your video csrd to output composite video on the Y signal.
Of course, if your TV has an S-Video input, then it should work with a standard S-Video cable. If the TV has a SCART input (23 pin connector) it gets more complicated, as the SCART connector allows for Composite, S-Video or even RGB connections on the one connector, but your TV might only support composite. If you do have a SCART connection, you could connect a 470 picofarad capacitor between pins 15 and 20 to add the C signal (pin 15) to the Y (pin 20). But from what I can gather, SCART connectors are more common on European TVs (PAL) than in NTSC countries.
    Hope this helps.

  • Video out question

Question - I bought a cable at Fry's to do video out. (goes into my headphone jack and has the red, yellow, and white cable coming out) I get sound but no video. what gives? Do I need an Apple branded cable? Did I do something wrong? How can I do this?
Also do I want the setting on PAL, or NTSC?
    thanks

Is this polling for the chip something that started with the 2.x firmware. I didn't have a problem using the 1.1.x firmwares, but I made the leap directly to 2.1 yesterday and now I can watch video on TV.

  • Another No Video Out!!!

Ok, got updater 1.1.1 new 60g vid no video out. Cable is right, plugged in, tv out on or ask (tried both), not pal out. Tried music vids, tv clip from itunes, nada.. : ( I think it's no good. Could anyone have another ideas please...

I have the same problem. Checked everything. Ipod is set to tv on, ntsc, everything is plugged in, even switched yellow and red cables because I heard that might help. Still nothing. Tried changin tv to 3 and 4 still nothing.

  • Video out from ABC app to my TV

I have ABC's app that allows me to watch their shows. It works fine on the iPad, but when I connect an Apple Composite AV cable to my TV all I get is sound. No video. I have my iPad set to video NTSC but I don't get it on my TV. Any ideas out there? Thanks.
    donald

Only a few apps right now support the Video Out function... the developer is tasked with making their apps compatible with this...over time more and more will I assume... For now only a few native apps are like the Movies in iPod section or the Keynote App (strangely Pages and Numbers are NOT supporting video out currently)

  • Video out from iPhone 3GS to TV.

Can I use the standard (3 phono plugs on the end) video out lead I already have to view keynote presentations from my iPhone 3GS on my TV/Projector?

    Same problem here.
I can't get any video out of my faithful iPhone 3GS running iOS 6.xx.
I have been browsing Apple discussions for solutions and most of them seem to point out to a faulty Video Composite cable. This is not my case.
I can rule that out 100%.
Old iPhone 3G running ios 3.1.2 works just fine as well as does iPhone 4, with the same cable.
I have tried with a friend's TV and cable and iPhone 3GS and we have identical issues.
(different cables and phones, same issue).
Please note all testing has been done with genuine Apple Video composite cables.
So this points out clearly to a iphone iOS issue combined with hardware.
It appears that starting from iOS > 5.0 video output has been disabled on earlier iPhone models prior to 4.
It would be nice if Apple could issue a Knowledge Base document on the issue as that would save many people further testing and waste of time.
This document http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4108? isn't really complete enough as it stops at iphone 4.
Has anybody the ultimate answer on this issue?
    Are there any known work-arounds?
    Thanks and regards
    Pieter

  • Mini-Dvi to Video out from Final Cut Pro working

Thanx Everybody for posting reply for my post regarding running video out to external TV from Final Cut Pro in MacBook.
    It's working fine.

@ Studio X : The files were originally created with Final Cut Pro, rendered out to QuickTime, then are being played back with Final Cut Pro. The file that has the most noticable studdering is a 60-minute timeline sequence in Final Cut. All files are being stored and played back from the Mac Mini's internal hard drive. Everything was originally shot on DV and formatted for a 4:3 aspect ratio.
@ Shane Ross : Are there any settings in the MacOS or FCP where I can improve the HDMI video signal? Or do you know of / have any experience with Firewire to HDMI converters? Unfortunately, my new signal path relies on HDMI from the video playback.
My current setup uses the Firewire output, which is then converted to composite video & analog audio using a pair of ageing DV tape decks. That setup is becoming troublesome due to age.

  • MSI GeForce 3 Ti200 video out freezes

    Hi!
I was testing the composite video and s-video out connectors. In my properties for the GeForce card i can choose between s-video and composite video, but they aren't automatically discovered as connected when pressing that button.
However when i press apply after choosing composite video, my monitor goes black, but i get no signal to my TV. My computer totally stops responding not even ctrl+alt+del will help. I have to press the reset button.
I downloaded TV-tool which i saw someone mentioned in this forum. It works flawlessly using TV tool using composite video(it takes sometime to switch between the monitor and tv but it works).
So as i understand it MSI's drivers or tool for switching between Monitor/video is broken. I have downloaded the latest drivers and tolls with MSI Live update 3, but it still doesn't work.
I'll be damned if i have to purchase a third party product for something that should work out of the box. I mailed MSI support about this and was directed to this forum, so i wonder if anybody else has this problem and found another solution than TV-tool?
I'm running Windows XP with the latest drivers.
    Mats

Judging from the problems I and several other people on the forum have mentioned, there seems to be a problem with the nVidia 45.23 drivers and video. I get a grey screen with vids unless i turn down the hardware accel to almost nothing. Other people can get vid to show on their tv out. So if you havn't tried an older driver version yet, maybe you could use the good old xp driver rollback in the video device properties.

  • What is the difference between Video-out and mirroring?

What is the difference between Video-out and mirroring? I can't get iPhone 4 video to work on my TV screen
I have just bought an MD098ZM/A (Apple 30-pin Digital AV Adapter). I am struggling to get it to show a picture on my TV. I know I'm doing something right because the audio is coming out of my TV speakers but no picture on the TV screen.
I have used the same HDMI channel (on the TV side) with the same cable and my thunderbolt port (MacBook Air) without any trouble - and on the same app (BBC iPlayer download then full-screen mode).
Now I note that the packaging for the MD098ZM/A says video-out on iPhone 4 but mirroring only on iPhone 4S. I only have an iPhone 4 (not the 4S). Now if the lack of iPhone 4 support for mirroring means that I can't play video material out to my TV, then in what sense is there any video-out capability at all?
There is only safety and warranty paperwork in the Apple adapter packaging - no help information. And I haven't found further guidance online either.
I do note somewhere online that it suggests that basic non-mirroring video-out (for this adapter) only works with some external TV sets. Any way of finding out which? I'm using a Sanyo CE32LD90-B LCD TV if it helps.
So far not doing very well.

Now found these but have had to give up on this adapter!

  • Satellite 1800-100: video-out does not work

    He,
I just installed windows XP on my old Satellite 1800-100, but now my video-out does not work anymore. So I just downloaded the latest driver, but there's no way I can get it installed. According to Windows the new driver isn't newer, so it won't let me update it. And when i try to unistall the display driver, I have to reboot before it takes effect, and wile rebooting it automaticly installs the standard driver again.
    Can anybody help me?
    Greets,
    Daan

    Hi
Do you mean TV- out port or monitor port? As far as I know this unit is preinstalled with WXP Home and all drivers can be also used for WXP Pro.
Did you preinstall your own OS (non recovery image)?
