FX5600- tv out is black and white

I see this questions very often, but I have never found the answer.
My problem:
I have connected the computer(with FX5600, Win XP) to my videorecorder( because my TV do not have the right input), with RCA-RCA(composite) cable. My video card has an s-video out so I used an s-video to RCA(composite) cable. I have enableded the clone view: analog monitor(primary)+TV. The TV picture was black and white. I read the forum, and found out that I should change S-video output to composite output in nview.
I tried it, but the TV did not show anything. I have already tried TVTOOL without success. My VHS accepts NTSC, PAL-D/K, PAL-B/G.
Could you help me?

The original MSI Cable (Mini-DIN to RCA) connects the Luminance part of the S-Video connector to the RCA jack, the Chrominance part is left alone. Sadly, my card gives me
a black screen ich I switch to "composite video" in the settings dialog. I tried some other
permutations of the pins in the S-Video connector of the card, but no success. So I built
this adapter from some other S-Video cable and some old parts I had laying around. The "circuit" (if you want to call it that) mixes the Chrominance part (responsible for the color) back into the Luminance signal (which is basically the composite w/o color). The graphics card stays in S-Video mode.
This is my "adapter" :
Its just sticked together from some old parts I had laying around, the capacitor is from an old electronics experimenting box, I doubt it likes the bandwidth of the chroma signal (stripes in the image). I plan to build it again from brand new high quality parts.
My conclusion: either the card is not able to produce composite video (software problem), or the adapter shipped with it is not compatible.
BTW: I don't speak spanish either, I just built the circuit from the image. But you are right, how can MSI expect such fiddeling from an average user? Maybe they test the cards only on S-Video, but never with Composite. Maybe you could ask in your local electronics store for an S-Video to Composite signal converter (not adapter!).

Scans coming out in black and white vertical lines

Hi , Thanks for providing the excellent screen shots. I see that you are having issues scanning, they are coming out black with vertical lines. I will certainly do my best to help you. I see by the screen shot that the AirPrint driver is selected for the default printer. Did you download and install the latest drivers? HP ENVY 4500 series Full Feature Software and Drivers. If the newest drivers are installed, delete the AirPrint driver and add the Envy 4500 drivers.Click the Apple menu and then click System Preferences. Click Printers & Scanners, highlight the printer name on the left side and delete it and add the printer name back in from the list. Click the - sign to delete the driver and then click the + sign to add the driver, you will need to to click the drop down, to select the printer's name to add it in. Make sure the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (don't use a power hub or a surge protector) This ensures the printer is receiving full power and may help this situation. Printing in Black and White Only

Recently I've been having problems printing in color while using Adobe XI. When I print off of Office it prints in color just fine, but whenever I try to print off a PDF, it comes out as black and white. I've tried restarting my computer, re-installing Adobe, re-installing my driver software for the printer, I made sure the grey scale box was not checked, I made it so the printer determines the colors (by going into advanced settings), and I tried to "print as image". Nothing works! Please help.

You might check for Adobe Reader Updates and ensure using the latest version i.e. 11.0.10
Also, let me know if Adobe PDF is set as your default printer or not.

My printer will not print in color, only black and white.

I have an Epson NX 420. I have set it up to my laptop, and am able to print off of my computer. But when I go to print a document out of pages, even though it says it is in the color mode it only will print out in Black and White. Is there something I should be downloading? I do know that the printer can and does print in color, because everything works perfectly fine on my Windows computer.

There are a few things to check:
Make sure the blue tape has been removed from the nozzle plate.
Print a diagnostic page as shown in method 4 here. Does this page print color? If so the issue may be your driver settings. Check for a "Print in grayscale" setting and uncheck this box.

AirPort Express connected printer only prints in black and white

I have a HP Deskjet D4160 connected to my Apple AirPort Express wireless base station. Wireless printing from my Macintosh works just fine, except for the fact that the printer will only print in black and white when connected wirelessly. If I disconnect the printer and connect it through USB, it prints just fine in color.
This printer has never printed in color when connected wirelessly. All my software is up to date as far as the Mac and the HP drivers go. PLEASE HELP!
I know I'm not the only one experiencing this problem. A quick Google search will bring up hundreds of thousands of others experiencing the same problem I am.

I tried turning the printer on when it only said 35% but it still printed out in black and white. It hung at 35% after about 3 minutes so I don't think I could have waited it to get to 100%. Usually print jobs get in the queue in a matter of seconds so I don't think the workaround is working for me.

Maverick 10.9 prints black and white only

Just bought a new MacBook Pro operating Maverick 10.9. New to Mac. My HP Officejet Pro L7650 was recognized as a network printer. However, everything I print comes out as black and white. I cannot find options to select color printing or make other adjustments. I've scoured the Apple forums too. Our other desktops and laptops can print in color on this printer--it's only the new MacBook that's the issue. Is there a new driver that I need? Ideas?

First, the printer works great in color right now--I can print in color from my HP desktop computer, can make color copies, etc.
This is a brand new Macbook Pro, and when I went to add a printer, this printer was the only choice. I selected it although the model number is slightly off--my printer says HP Officejet Pro L7650 All-in-One. The choice on the mac printers available said Officejet Pro 7600. I can't tell from this what type of driver it is--sorry--I'm completely new to Mac. When I go to the options tab, I don't see any arrows or options though. I wondered if the new Mac 10.9 OS is too new to be supported.

Acrobat 9.31 / Browser Plugin - Printing Color PDF as Black and White?

I have an interesting issue for the masses. For a couple of our users (it encompasses both Windows XP x64 and Windows 7 x64), they are having an issue where when they attempt to print a PDF directly from Acrobat's browser plugin (in this case, IE8 is the browser), and attempt to print a color PDF to a color printer, the PDF comes out in black and white.
Here's some other consistents:
* Printing to a network printer, using the print driver Canon C5180-H1 Ver.2.0JM. The problem spans across two different print servers (we use a different one for XP clients and 7 clients, but the driver is the same)
* When the user clicks on "Print As Image", it does work (but doesn't look quite as good)
* When the user saves the PDF to a file and then opens it in the full Acrobat 9 Pro application, it does work (but this is a bit annoying)
Can anyone suggest some other things I should check and/or reasons that this might be happening? I'm at a total loss to explain it but will happily accept suggestions on ways to fix it.

Only black and white

I have plugged in my Apple TV using a yellow video cable into a non-HD tv. It only comes out as black and white. However for about 10 secs, before we tried to replug in the HDMI lead, it turned into colour. So it does work.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to get this back to colour?

I think I see what you are saying now:
You have the tv connected to a tv by the yellow lead of a composite connection set. You have it working in B&W. You did get colour for a short time, but now it's gone back to B&W. You want the colour back.
If this is correct it's not going to work, you may get B&W if you connect it to the right component port, you may even get flashes of colour (which you seem to have done), but this isn't an indication that it will work, it's not going to get any better than that.

PRINTS ONLY BLACK AND WHITE

Pixma printer adding color while trying to print black and white.

I've had this printer (Pixma MG5320) for about a year and a half now and recently noticed a problem with it. I have been doing a lot of black and white photography lately (both digital and analog), and every black and white photo I print has some color fo it. For instance I printed out a black and white digital picture I took recently that I edited using Nik's Silver Efex Pro. Instead of the picture coming out black and white, it has an orange/red hue to it throughout the image, yet on my monitor it is void of all colors (except shades of black and white of course). A few months ago I tried to print another picture, and it had a blueish/green hue printed throughout the picture as well.
I am printing all these photos via Photoshop, and even went into the settings to click on "grayscale printing" but the problem still persists. The printer does this with both brand new ink cartridges and ones that have been used before. I can't figure out if there is some odd setting in Photoshop that I may have accidently messed around with (though there really shouldn't be), or if it's an issue with the printer itself. If I print a color photo, all the colors seem about right and I don't notice an off hue on any of them.
Does anyone know what could cause this? I am just trying to troubleshoot the whole ordeal because it's gotten to the point where printing b&w photos is not in question until I figure this issue out.

IPhone 5s - Camera Photos in Black and White

I have a new iPhone 5s and for some reason, when I click on Camera to take a photo, on the main photo it comes out as black and white rather than colour. If I switch to Square I get colour, but on switching back to ordinary photo, it goes back to black and white again.
Anybody have any ideas about this? I also have an iPhone 6 and checked on this, but when I open the Camera app I get colour too.
Both phones are running the latest version - iOS 8.1.2.

Your black and white filter is probably on. When taking a picture, in the bottom right, there are three circles overlapping. Click on that and chose "none".

Printing black and white when colour is out of ink

I am currently wanting to print a doc in black and white. The YELLOW is out of ink. it will not allow me to print in black and white. I have changed the printer setting to defalt to black and white but it still will not allow me to print cause of the empty YELLOW ink. Is the a way to bypass the colour ink and just print black and white?

I see you are looking into printing with empty cartridges. Due to the design of the printhead, it requires cartridges with some ink in each slot to ensure there is no damage caused to the printhead.

Thanks for the question. If I understand correctly, when you print a photo in iPhoto it has a tint. I would recommend that you read this article, this article explains how to adjust the tint in a photo.

Bringing out colors on a black and white photos

I just got Photoshop elements 11 for Xmas. I've been attempting to have a single color or object colored in a black and white picture. I have gotten as far as making a duplicate layer and then creating a mask but don't know where to go from here. How do you do this and is there an easier way to do this?

For a colored original, get out the smart brush (the one with the gears on it), choose a black and white style from the popout menu in the tool options, turn on the Inverse checkbox, and drag over the object you want in color. The rest of the photo will turn black and white. The smart brush creates an editable layer mask, so no need to make one before you start.
For a black and white original, select the area you want to colorize, then Layer>New Adjustment Layer>Hue/Saturation, turn on the colorize checkbox and adjust the sliders to get the shade you want.
