FX5900 ultra MAJOR problems !!! Help !

My problem is simple. I got done building my computer around 3 weeks ago, and since the first time i tried to play any one of my games , the picture freezes and the only way to exit is the power button. The freezing could take place a minute into the game or 20mins into the game , but it always happens. I also, from time to time get a blue screen ,with white letters, in windows alerting me that my system must and will shutdown but it comes and goes so fast i cant read the full page.
Some people have suggested turning 8x into 4x until a new driver that solves the problem comes out, but even that wont work for me. I've tried all the driver versions , MSI and nVidia with 8x & 4x and they all crash.
My system specs:
ABIT KV7 Mobo
MSI FX5900SP Ultra 256
AMD XP 2600
512mb DDRAM
400 watt ATX 12v power supply
PS I have latest drivers and bios
DOes anyone have any suggestions ? i need your people!!!

I hope this helps, but I'd also like to add that I tried Overclocking the FX5900ultra and with 4x I played Unreal II for about an hour before the game turned into a whole bunch of straight lines , color yes but the game and menus were made up of straight lines, thought that might help with a conclusion. It DIDNT freeze.

Major problem, help very much appreciated

Alright so a few days ago I was checking my Bank Statements on my phone, and I had full bars, and after I was done I put my phone in my pocket, and then pulled it back out, when I tried to call someone I had "No Service" so I turned off the phone, turned it back on still the same issue, so then I tried resetting all the settings from the iPhone, still with no luck still had no Signal.
So I get home, plug my iPhone into my computer and almost instantly my computer freezes, so I restart my computer, and I notice I had icons all over my screen, and my Anti-Virus, and Anti-Spyware were no longer working, now before people start jumping to conclusions nightly I run Anti-Spyware, Anti-Virus, Anti-Malware, software, and I have firewalls, along with other things keeping my computer safe, and in the two years I've owned it, I've never had a problem.
Anyways I plugged my iPhone back into my computer and it started to sync, and I had full intent on restoring it because I still had "No Service" so I pressed restore, and had the iPhone restore itself, and then when it finished, and I was waiting for the window to come up where I can choose a previous backup, but that wasn't the case instead I got a pop up that said "Mobile Device Helper Has Stopped working." and once I clicked cancel on that it would have me only register my phone as a new phone, I was unable to choose any backups.
So I tried restoring the iPhone again, with the same problem, then I tried repairing all my Apple software on my laptop, same problem, then I uninstalled, then reinstalled the programs, still with the same problem.
I have also noticed since that day my computer is running VERY slow, which leads me to ask, could my iphone of somehow got a virus and it has screwed up everything? Cause as it stands I can't choose a backup, my facebook was hacked, my computer is running slow, my phone has lost all it's content, and everytime I now hook up my iPhone I get the "Mobile Device Helper has stopped working."
If anyone has any ideas on what to do that would be great, I have never had any problems with my Laptop, or with my iPhone in this case. I am content with doing a full system recovery for my laptop, but I want opinions first.

Also I must add, when I did a virus check in the morning I had no viruses, then later after I got the anti-virus to start working, after I had not used my computer all day cause I had work, I had viruses and that was after plugging in my iPhone. And also when I tried to open Chrome, it had crashed and deleted all of it's info.
None of this makes sense, at all, and it all happened after plugging in my iPhone.

MAJOR PROBLEM HELP HELP HELP NO POST

There are times when you want to cry, this is one of them ...
PROBLEM = My computer has suddenly decided not to post. D-Bracket is showing a hang with lights 1 and 3 ("Testing VGA BIOS")
HISTORY OF PROBLEM :
I was doing the usual spring clean of my computer. There was no air coming out my arctic cooler on my Radeon 9800 Pro, which i found out was due to dust blocking the expulsion route from the fan on the cooler. So i removed the dust, and in the process dismantled the arctic cooler, wiped off the old paste covering the GPU and replaced it with some fresh paste that came with the arctic cooler. I re-assembled and put my computer back together again. I also switched to the enermax PSU below. My computer was running fine for a few days, then yesterday I shut down as normal. Today when I started it up, i was getting a 'NO SIGNAL' on my TFT Monitor. I checked the cables, removed and reseated the graphics card, removed and replaced the arctic cooler with the retail ATI fan (again adding to a little of the removed paste ontop of the GPU) but it has made no difference. It wont POST.
If ever i need help, I need it now.

SoundBlaster Zx major problems help please!

I tryd 3 Soundblaster Zx,s so far and i still dont understand why i have this problem, my mainbord is a MSI Big Bang Xpower 2 my previous soundblaster was a X-Fi Fitality Titanium Pro so if seen the reviews of the Zx on the net i was really exited about it, but now comes the weird part my mainbord wont detect any of these cards! i tryd 3 so far and al 3 had the same problem its not detecting the card the first one was acually detcting it for 2 days after that one morning i booted the pc and there was the speaker with the red cross true it no soundcard detected, the second one did not regonize the card @ all, and the third one was the same thing i tryed updating to the latest bios i tryd resetting cmos i tryd really everything i could think of, i realy need help with this so someone from creative please look further into this because this is a combination thats not working well i think
My X-fi is working perfect no matter what.

MSI boards, Intel at least, seem to hold onto data, can be a bit of a PITA to clear the bios & update. Folks in the forum recommend not just using the reset button if you have one, or using the reset jumper, but pulling the battery for a while -- if the date's reset you know it was cleared -- if not than you only got at best a partial clear or reset. For updating the bios they recommend a tool & procedure you'll find in the forum, & they have a separate section with beta bios that might also help.
Also, I'm not familiar with your m/board, but you might want to double check the manual etc... My board for example has 2 pci-e slots [beside the 3 for graphics cards], but only one can be used at any one time.

LiveType Major Problem: HELP!

Running OS 10.4.11, FCS 2 6.0.3, QT 7.4.5 on both a Mac Pro Dual 3Ghz and MacBook. Livetype styles, effects, objects do not show in LiveType and renders are black. Old .ipr files display as plain text within FCP without styles or effects. This all stems from the last Pro Applications Update. Everything was fine until that was installed and now my finished project awaits a fix before I can output it. This has nothing to do with storing assets locally or on another volume. I do not have a problem with asset location.

Had this problem ever since QT7.4.5 released (2++weeks ago). Only way to make livetype works again is by downgrading to AT7.4.1 and also you have to drop FCP603 to FCP602. FCP603 doesn't work without QT7.4.5, (Some1 says QT wont affect FCP, it sure does mate)
Set back is, if your project is already opened in FCP603, FCP602 won't open it. Unless you have backup set up and have not ponder long enough like me. . If you on Time Machine, you can recall back also. How? Ask the guys using Leopard.
So for the next few weeks I will be without Livetype. All projects are already in FCP603. Apple, can you just make the projects backward-compatible to at least all V6 can opened regardless of version number. You are choking us here. I lost a lot time attending to the client's request using LiveType. Time = Money.
Still awaits the remedy from Apple on this issue. Maybe they look into this since NAB is over.

Ipod major problem Help !!!!

I just got an ipod day b4 ..its d video ipod wid 30Gb space...
I connected my ipod wid USb and downloaded songs into it...
everything was fine..
Until next time wen i was trying to put video into it.. it just got hanged and nothings working now... its cant b switched off nor any button is working.. Its completely hanged...

Try resetting your iPod:
Move the hold switch back and forth so that it ends up in the "Off" position (no orange color showing).
Then, hold the MENU and SELECT (center) buttons until you see an Apple logo on the screen.
Then release the buttons, and let the iPod start back up... and your iPod should be back up and running.

I have thousands of songs on my ipod, yet they're not in mylibrary as I've downloaded them at other's computers and don't store the music on my computer. how on earth do I make a cd of some of the songs on my ipod?????

there are many programs for this - search backup ipod in google and tons of stuff comes up
I have used copypod and ipodip when my computer has crashed and i had to reload my music onto the computer

KT3 Ultra 2 Problems, help !!!

I just installed the my new KT3 Ultra2 mainboard but when I boot the screen stays blank and the diagnostics LEDs show 1 and 2 red, 3 and 4 green, meaning according to the manual : " Initialzing Hard Drive Controller" . There it'll stop. The Harddrive itself is ok cause I tried it in my old comp. ...what could be wrong ?

Some websites have an internal mute or volume setting. If that's not the issue, see below.

and confirm. Close the window. Then select
           ▹ System Preferences… ▹ Flash Player ▹ Advanced ▹ Delete All...
In the sheet that opens, check the box marked
          Delete All Site Data and Settings
then click Delete Data. Close the preference pane.

Not that I am an expert o/c but here are some thoughts on the matter.
My comments are based on my experiences of the KT3 Ultra2 which is basically the same as the Ultra version.
This mobo does not have the ability to lock the PCI/AGP bus freely from the FSB. However, it does have dividers. At 133 a 1/4 divider kicks in. Above 152FSB the 1/5 divider works, so that at 166 the PCI & AGP buses will be back in sync. If you are o/c your cpu, don't go from 133 to 145, etc since you will be running the PCI/AGP buses further out of whack. Just go to either the mid 150's or to 166 in one jump. The other problem / issue relates to your cpu. From what you say you have one of the old Palominos which are not great o/c's. I would personally o/c your cpu from the BIOS rather than 'Fluffy Logic' which I would tend to stay away from.
With a 166FSB cpu a very stable o/c would be 175-177 beyond 180 gets decidedly tricky.

Does my problem has anything to do with SSL for mail settings? Cause when I tried re-adding it says something that I should try without SSL, and I did what you said and it gives me this "The IMAP server pop.mail.yahoo.com is not responding. Check your network connection and that you entered the correct information in the incoming mail server field". Ahh.. this is so annoying, Apple what are you doing to me?! Or is Yahoo doing this to me?!

FX5900 Ultra and MSI Media Center Problems

I've just got an MSI GeForce 5900 Ultra VTD256 card which came with MSI Media Center Deluxe II. However, when I try to install it, it starts the install and then gives the error "This is not a qualified MSI system".
Can you offer any help?

I wouldn't know on that as I have a MSI board and vid card.I do have a media center from nVidia.If you update the drivers from nVidia, you should get theirs.Unless I am thinking of a different media center.

Major Receiver Problems- HELP!

I got my first Nike Plus kit for my 2nd Generation Nano. I loved it the two runs that it worked then it would not recognize the receiver. I ordered a new kit and still had the same problem so I ordered a brand new Nano. It worked for a couple of runs and then would not recognize the receiver again. I ordered a 3rd kit which worked fine for about 40 miles and today it will not recognize the receiver again. I really, really want this technology to work because I love it but I am really getting frustrated since I am on my 2nd Nano and 3rd kit. I am not rough with gear. Could I just be the most unlucky person in the world that keeps buying defective equipment? Any advice would be very helpful.

I have has really major problems this week as well. I use a 3rd gen nano and for 10 runs my sport kit worked really well. I did a 5k race on Sunday and the ipod could not find my sensor. I played around with it and got it work after about 10 attempts (after my race, of course). I thought I was all set when I went on my run today. It was working fine, then I looked down at my ipod and it said I had only run .3 miles when I gone over one mile. I started a new workout and it did the same thing twenty minutes later. Then it could not find the sensor. I am really excited about this product and want it to work. The support hotline was closed after my run. I hope they send me a new one and that works well.

Help with major problem

I have a major problem with my 4th generation iPod. Everytime I go to play it, it will skip songs when I don't want it to, pay for about 10 seconds and skip songs again. Sometimes it will play a song for while and then skip to another song halfway or it will just freeze up. I had this problem before and so I restored it. Now, it is still doing the same thing. I've tried restoring more than once and it still does the same thing. Why is this happening and how do I solve it?

You could try a format of the iPod in Windows. A
full format does a check and remap of bad sectors on
the iPod hard drive, and you would need to restore
the iPod as normal (using the iPod updater)
afterward. This can also work when the iPod is
recognized by the computer, but not by the updater.
First, put the iPod into forced disk mode.
See: How to put the iPod into disk mode.
On your PC, go "my computer" and right click on the
iPod, then choose "format". Ensure the settings are
at "default" and that "quick format" is not checked.
Now select "format". It will take a while, but when
that's finished, restore the iPod using the updater.
If you need to, reset the iPod to exit disk mode.
So far so good except my iPod is not recognised by the updater so I can't restore it. What do I now?
