Hi Bentley,
I just noticed something. The link that I pasted, to your
post, does not work either. I noticed why, however, and it seems to
be why the link in your original page does not work, and why the
link in my post that goes to your post does not work.
It seems to be that if a link has a period after it (i.e., if
it is at the end of a sentence), the period is incorrectly included
in the "real" link. Somehow, whatever mechanism that processes the
post has a mini bug in it.
If you go to the link that is results in "Sorry, this page is
not available", and look up into the browser address bar, you will
see the period there each time.
I just thought that I would point this out, too, so that the
web techs in charge of the workings of the forums could look into
it.
Here is the original link, without a period after it, to your
original page.

Hi Bentley,
I wanted to tell you that an important link you posted does
not work and says "Sorry, this page is not available".
It is in your post entitled "Locked [ADOBE FYI] : Getting
Support for Flash Player 10 and Issue Tracking post", and is at
http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/webforums/forum/messageview.cfmforumid=44&catid=184&threadid= 1400586&enterthread=y.
The link that is non-functional is "If you have issues
installing Flash Player 10, first troubleshoot your issues using
http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer.
Read the technotes, do some testing.".
I just wanted you to know, since you have gone to all of the
effort of posting it. I apologize for having to start a new thread,
but I was unable to post to your thread, since it is locked and
read-only.
This is the issue I am dealing with myself, and desperately
need help with. :)
Thank you so very much,

FYI: Getting installers for Flash Player 9.0.151.0 security update
There are different avenues for getting the Flash Player
9.0.151.0 installers mentioned in the recent security bulletin
APSB08-20 Flash Player update available to address security
vulnerabilities.
Most users may have already updated to Flash Player 10, and
any trip to the Flash Player product download center
(/go/getflashplayer) will only provide Flash Player 10. That site
always delivers the most recent version.
If you have installed Flash Player 10 and do not have any reason
to test or use Flash Player 9 then no action is required.
But, if you require Flash Player 9.0.151.0, how do you get
it?
Regular desktop users should follow the advice of the
security bulletin and obtain the EXE and zipped DMG installers for
9.0.115.0 from “Flash Player 9 for Unsupported Operating
Systems” (
http://www.adobe.com/go/kb406791).
The title might be misleading, but the bits have all been updated.
These same installers are also available in "Archived Flash
Players available for testing purposes"
http://www.adobe.com/go/tn_14266
Anyone needing a version OTHER than EXE or Mac DMG
(enterprises who distribute Flash Player, folks who need MSI or MSP
installers, etc) will have to get the installers from the free
Adobe players licensing program. Any user completing the program
(which has recently been rebuilt from scratch) will obtain access
to the bits once approved. The approval process is very quick.
http://www.adobe.com/licensing/
The licensing site contains bits for both Flash Player 9 and
Flash Player 10. All have been updated to the most recent versions.
Some customers may be using the old licensing site links, and
they won’t see Flash Player 9 bits. We suggest that all
customers request either a new license or a resend of their
existing license to get the correct URL’s.
Again, if you have installed Flash Player 10 and do not have any
reason to test or use Flash Player 9 then no action is
required. We are currently using Adobe Flash player 9 on Windows XP operating system. We would like to know if Vulnerabilities in Adobe Flash Player 6 Provided in Windows XP, could Allow Remote Code Execution mentioned in Microsoft Security Advisory (979267), is resolved in Flash Player 9? For more details on vulnerability please refer "Microsoft Security Advisory (979267)". I have been wondering for the answers from a week and I have even logged the same in forum which fetch me no result. Could you let me know regarding this.
Since we have security related issue with this please consider this call at high priority.

What to do now that Adobe ended support for Flash Player 10.3?
Adobe ended support for Flash Player 10.3 on July 9. Downloads are no longer available anywhere that I can find. Adobe says 11.7 is now the "extended release" version. Since 10.3 has been the only solution when the latest Flash Player version won't work with Firefox, what do we do now? I have tested every Flash Player release after 10.3, and each starts crashing repeatedly after 24 hours. Each time, retreat to 10.3 was the only solution. The other suggestions in Firefox help don't work. I uninstalled 10.3 a few days ago to test 11.8 - the latest. It doesn't work with Firefox. Now I could only install 11.7. It hasn't failed yet, but it probably will tomorrow.
If Flash Player 11.8 and 11.7 don't work, and 10.3 is unavailable, what can we do?You can check for problems with current Flash plugin versions and try these:
*disable a possible RealPlayer Browser Record Plugin extension for Firefox and update the RealPlayer if installed
*disable protected mode in the Flash plugin (Flash 11.3+ on Windows Vista and later)
*disable hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin

Support for flash player plugin in webview
Will the webview at some point support the flash player plugin? We have a legacy reporting engine that was developed in Flex that we were hoping we could access in a webview.
Thanks.
StefanNo - webview will not support a flash player plugin.
install flash plugin for WebView "Thread: install flash plugin for WebView"
Richard's comment from the thread (Richard is the JavaFX lead):
As for plugins, we are not likely to ever support running plugins (except maybe applets), for security reasons. There are also additional issues. If the browser is to support arbitrary things that Chrome supports like native client etc, it adds to the footprint of the browser (and security risks). Already the WebView constitutes over half of the download size of JavaFX. I would need a pretty strong justification to make it larger if doing so also increases our risk to vulnerabilities. -
Alternativa3D 8.12.0 update with support for Flash Player 11 Beta 2
To your attention we introduce the new public engine build Alternativa3D 8.12.0 which supports the Flash Player 11 Beta 2. So this version of the engine is completely compatible with the latest Flash Player build at the present moment. We have also accelerated the mouse events system and added the orthographic mode to the camera.
Complete list of changes
The public version Flash Player 11 Beta 2 is now supported.
The orthographic mode has been added to the Camera3D.
The MouseEvent system has been optimized and accelerated.
Logo “AlternativaPltaform” has been updated.
Now when objects are added and removed from the parent, the event will be sent (Event3D.ADDED, Event3D.REMOVED).
The ability to change the property renderToBitmap into View after creating has been added.
The height and width of the View has been limited to the minimum size of 50×50.
Bug in mouse events system when used skins divided on surfaces by divide() was fixed.
A bug has been fixed in Decal.
Skin lighting algorithm changed to more precise one.
ParserCollada: Fixed a bug when binormal vector of the vertices of the object was incorrectly parsed.
The value of backgroundAlpha in the View constructor changed to 1.0 by default.
VertexLightTextureMaterial now draws correctly without lights in scene.
MouseEvent3D was moved from alternativa.engine3d.core to alternativa.engine3d.core.events.
A bug has been fixed in Object3D.dispatchEvent().
The offset property has been added to the constructor Decal and it is compulsory.
Now the offset property can be copied using the clone () method of class Decal.
The ratio property has been removed from View class.
VertexLightTextureMaterial now can be used with skin with the maximum number of bones in surface no more than 33.See if there is anything in this topic that answers your question: http://forums.adobe.com/message/4322795

When is Apple going to support Flash Player on IPad?
The majority of sites that have multimedia content rely on Flash. Safari users are missing out on tons and tons of content that depends on Flash. I have and love my IPad 2. I should be able to use this awesome thing to get at anything I need to on the Internet. Yet when I need to access Flash sites, I am forced back to my windows PC.
Please Apple Make it happen! I'm tired of being ragged by android users on this. You need to fix it.xx66stangxx wrote:
Flash is a dieing technology.
Really it's not seeming that way.
In fact, since the iPad release, and Steve Jobs famously declairing the death of Flash, Flash useage has increased.
Check it out 95.75% of all internet connected devices have the Flash Player.
http://www.statowl.com/flash.php
(the mac only has 12% share, it must be totally doomed then)
IOS Apps are now made using Adobe Flash
http://thenextweb.com/apple/2011/09/09/the-best-selling-ipad-app-on-the-app-stor e-was-created-with-adobe-flash/
And so are Android, Blackberry etc.
And HTML5 was supposed to be Apple's answer to all the missing content, yet here, 3 years later, HTML5 is no where to be seen, and lacks support/performance to compete with Flash.
http://getmoai.com/images/banners/mobilegaming-html5-vs-alternatives-011112-moai .jpg
Just look at how when you step outside the reality distortion field, things look much different. Look at HTML5 performance compared to Flash.... wasn't HTML5 supposed to outperform and save us from dead batteries? Well even 3 years after Steve Jobs claims it's still using 5x more resources than Flash.
This demo shows 16,250 sprites animating at 60fps using the Flash player, something HTML5 can't even do with less than 100 sprites.
http://www.bytearray.org/?p=4074
HTML5 is a joke, Flash is real, and is providing real content to real people right now. If you as an Apple owner believe the ownership of an IOS device is worth this loss, then more power to you. -
Official LCCS support for Flash Player 10.3?
Hi,
We have been waiting for some time to the release of Flash Player 10.3 due to its promised AEC capabilities. Now that it's out, when should we expect LCCS to follow the release and support the latest player?
I saw a thread from a few menths ago regarding this issue but we prefer working on release artifacts.
Thanks,
EhudHi all,
We've been building/posting 10.3 SWCs with every release - check the AEC
thread for downloadable bits.
That said, we're not going to have a full release ready for 10.3 until the
release-after-next. Next release is coming up super-quick, so we just didn't
have time to properly test the 10.3 code yet. We'll make the
release-after-next as soon as possible, but in the meantime, please help us
test the 10.3 builds posted.
thanks for all your help, we really appreciate it!

Skier unique question regarding password for Flash Player
I keep getting told to update Flash Player but my password for Adobe is not accepted for the Flash Player sign in. How do I get a password for Flash Player?
This password prompt is presented by your operating system, and is intended to keep you from accidentally installing software.
If this is your personal machine and you don't need a password to log into the computer when it first starts up, you can probably leave the password blank and click OK to get past this prompt. If this is your personal machine and your normal password isn't working, check to make sure that CAPS LOCK is off, and type the password carefully.
If this is your work machine and it's asking for an Administrator password, well, you'll need to have a conversation with your friendly IT person.
If you're still stumped, you may need to reset the password on your Mac:

How Can I Get the FULL Installer for Flash Player 11.1.102.63?
When I try the "Download now" button at http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/, I only get a stub installer that then requires downloading the remainder of the installer. I maintain both my own PC and my wife's PC. I want to install Flash Player 11.1.102.63 twice but download it only once.
When I instead try the link for "Flash Player for other browsers" under "Windows 32-bit", I get the full installer for Flash Player 11.1.102.62, not the full installer for Flash Player 11.1.102.63.
The latest version of Adobe Reader is available via FTP at ftp.adobe.com. Why cannot the latest version of Flash Player also be available there?at http://forums.adobe.com/thread/889580 the link for downloading "flash player 10", "for other browsers", still results in the OLD version of FP 10 being downloaded, not the newly updated version, build 10.3.183.16..
in adobe's security bulletins, it says that you can download the updated versions of "flash player 10" on the "archives" webpage but there are no direct downloads for FP 10 on the webpage, except for downloading the zipped packages, with the "debuggers".. it would be good if there were direct downloads for the updated versions of FP 10..
also, when i go to the "download center" page, http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/?promoid=BUIGP , if i go there with "firefox 3.6", it recognizes that i am running "firefox 3.6" and offers to install "flash player 10.3", but if i go there with "internet explorer 6", it is not recognized and so i am not offered "flash player 10.3", for installing.. in this situation, i need some other way to get "flash player 10.3" for "internet explorer 6"..
adobe should make things easier for everyone by providing direct downloads for flash player..in my case, i use "flash player 10", so i need direct downloads for it.. yes, it is nice that the downloads are posted in the forum, but why not do it right and have in on some webpage, like on the "archives" webpage where adobe says that "flash player 10" can be downloaded, except that there are no links there for downloading it.. -
How do I get Active X control for flash player registered?
I have been having problems with flashplayer. I continue to get different messages when I try to download. The latest message is: Active X control for flash player could not be registered. What do I do to get the system working?
Looks to be a permission issue. Do you have administrator priveleges on the machine?

I was getting support for my Office 2008 for Mac, and the support tech said my OS was very slow. I have latest update for Snow10.6.7. Question; How can I speed up my Macbook?
Hi
In the first instance, I'd use Onyx and run through its sequence of maintenance and tune up tools:
Verify, Maintenance, Cleaning.
I'd also reset the SMC and PRAM (Google them)
If that doesn't help then I'd look at System Preferences.. > Accounts > Login Items tab (not Login Options). Check what processes get started at login and decide which ones you don't want.
After that I'd use Applications/Utilities/Activity Monitor to see if any processes are using a lot of computer power or if anything else nasty might be happening.
If none of this helped then my final step would be to reinstall OS X.

Does firefox for mobile (on android) support adobe flash player?
I wish to view videos on you tube using adobe flash player from my HTC Desire running android 2.2, but need to know if this browser supports adobe flash player.
'''Update''': Firefox for Android now includes supports for Flash content. You'll need the Adobe Flash plugin, which is no longer available in the app market, but you can still download it directly from Adobe. For details, see [[How do I watch Flash videos with Firefox for Android?]]
