FYI Great Video Converting Tool

In the past I had recommended using AVS tools for conversion,
but that does not address the SWF to FLV conversion needs that many
of us have. I found a completely free tool for this and it is quite
good.
I give the website a C- for look and feel, but once you read
through the weird page layout, you'll find the download link to
SUPER at...
SUPER Main Page
This will require you to read through three pages of stuff
and the link is a the end of page three (assuming that you clicked
on the download links on each page).
1. Click the Download Link at the bottom of Page 1
Start Downloading SUPER © right now
2. Near the top of page 2 look for the link
SUPER © is a FREE Multimedia software to download and use
3. Near the bottom of page 3 it will say
Download SUPER © setup file
I run multiple firewalls and items are scanned here by both
Norton and McAfee. No viruses here. Just good software.
My Settings:
1. SWF ro FLV -- Flash Video -- Mp3
Video: 960:528 -- autosets 16:9 size -- Bitrate-See what
gives you no blockiness -- High Quality / Top Quality / Stretch
Audio - - 22050 in 1 channel Bitrate=32
Right Click on the screen and select Output File Saving
Management - select the first two checkboxes and press SAVE
From Windows Explorer just drag your files onto SUPER
and then select the ones to convert
and then press Encode
Small files, nicely converted to FLV

I updated my original email with better instructions. This
guy wants you to read a whole bunch of stuff so that you spend more
time with his advertisers.
I have multiple firewalls ahere and I scan with Norton and
McAfee. No virus issues noted.
This is good software.
Things are good. I still refuse to upgrade to Captivate 3
until Adobe shows me that they provide software patches. Support
here is of course excellent and perhaps fanatical. But why is it
that software patches are harder to get than the link above?
Quarterly patches are needed and it shows dedication.
My PET PEEVE in all of this is actually a bit twisted. The
folks here that comment and provide feedback ROCK!. But when a
person posts to this forum that they are crashing or they are
shouting that THIS THING IS *%@&, it just about kills me...
because:
1. You folks ROCK!
2. Adobe is causing bad press [here] with a lack of patches
3. It has been this way for years
4. It has been this way through multiple owners of the code
5. Adobe owns Flash and several related products
So my only conclusion is that Captivate is small potatoes to
Adobe and it is "near orphaned" in tems of programming support.
What a shame because with fewer negative posts, there would be
fewer overall posts and there would likely be more fanatical
comments and more sales for Adobe.
They just don't get how reliable software can sell itself.

  • "You're missing the video converter tool"

Recently I have been seeing an ad popping up on Safari on my iPad that says "You're missing the video converter tool". This seems malicious. How do I get rid of it?

Stop visiting the sites where it occurs
Turn off pop ups: Settings app > Safari > Block Popups [turn ON]
You may also want to clear your browser cache while you are there (Clear History and Clear Cookies and Data)
It is also likely not malicious, just an add (and annoying), but regardless will not be able to install malware.

  • Free batch video convert tool?

Hi. I've been going through the forums looking for a video tool to convert clips to a format that is very editable in Premiere CS5. Any advice would be most welcome. I've downloaded about ten tools so far, some better, some crashing, some producing results but one file at a time or so.
My requirements wishes for the video tool are:
    - free
    - batch processing
    - keep most of the original filenames
    - some ease of use would be nice (batch scripting VLC was beyond my skills)
Example scenario: I have 75 .mov (quicktime, h.264, 848x400) clips that are fairly short (~20sec.) shot with a cheap pocket sized camera. Premiere runs into problems when inserting that many clips into a timeline. Uncompressed dv-avi seem like a good format for editing. Perhaps some other format might work as well, just as long as it's editable and no noticeable loss of quality in the conversion. Occasionally some longer clips tend to create 4+ gigabyte avi files, which seem rather large and thus inconvenient. My environment: win7 64bit, 16gb ram, intel 6 core cpu, decent graphics card, couple of terabytes HD space.
I'm pretty novice when it comes to video conversions so feel free to provide detailed advice. I haven't had too much luck googling.

    Not a problem
If you have any specific questions regarding it or possible formats to use/convert to, the Adobe Forums: AME would be the place to go.

  • Video conversion tool

    Hello,
Looking for some great video convertion tool (free if possible) that would allow me to convert sime video files from my computer into a format that will be allowed by iTunes (in order to watch the movies on my AppleTV)!!!
    Thanks!!!
P.S.:  I'm on a PC (for now) running Windows XP.

And on the the video encoding front, is there any nice frontend to ffmpeg that allows for easy transcoding between various formats?
There's ffmpegx ( http://homepage.mac.com/major4/ ) but it isn't free, and it's for mac. Are there any good alternatives?

  • Converted VOB file to mpeg with Freemake Video Converter and still not able to load same file in Premiere CS6

I have this project where I needed to change the audio part from a dvd so first tried to load VOB file but Adobe Premiere did not support VOB file so then used Freemake Video Convert tool to convert in to mpeg file so that I can import in premiere timeline. Still no success so I guess its not supported either.

Maybe you are missing some codec. CS6 does support mpeg.
Features and Sequence Presets missing - sequence could not be opened

  • Mini DVI to Video converter, red tinge

I recently bought a macbook, and so far I'm very satisfied with it (aside from the heat problems, which aren't that bad imo.) A few days ago, I recieved a Mini-DVI to Video converter in the mail to use with my six-year old television. Previously, I had used my dad's aging Dell Latitude to plug into the TV to watch old television shows I have acquired from the internet. It had great quality. However, using the same connection/cable with the macbook has given less than desirable results when it comes to color quality. Where the latitude had great color, the macbook seems to be outputting a very bright, very noticeably red picture. While it doesn't bother me significantly, it's sort of annoying to see everything with a twinge of red.
Now, I have tried calibrating the TV using the built in Mac OS utilities (on expert mode,) however this hasn't fixed the problem--the output is a little darker, but the colors are still off. The TV has had no other problems in the past; everything else that's ever been connected to the TV's S-Video connector has been perfect.
Has anyone else ever had a problem similar to this? Like I said, it's watchable but slightly annoying when the colors are off like that (especially when you compare the macbook's screen to the TV's... The macbook is perfect while the TV has an annoying red tinge.)

Just tried this, in fact its hooked up to my other monitor right now and i do still get the red tinge. The picture is perfect apart from this though. Its nice and sharp and clear.
The colour does indeed come on just fine to begin with but once the monitor has done its auto adjust it drops back to the red. I've played with the display settings, different resolutions etc for both displays and still the same.
The thing is, the mac does seem to be sending the correct signal as the monitor is initially correct. Ill try this with a CRT monitor once my battery is charged and if i can find another VGA cable in ill give that a go too.

  • PQ DVD to ipod Video Converter

hi i have downloaded a free version of PQ DVD to iPod video converter and it seems ok and i was wanted to know if anyone else had it so that i could use the registry code to save me money. I would greatly appreciate this code
    thanks

Sounds to me like you're asking for someone else's purchased registration code.
Using one code for 2 copies of software is illegal.

  • Video Converter for Zen SD S

Hi all. I just bought a 4gb zen for my wife and I'm looking for a decent video converter, aside from the included Media browser one. The problem with that one is that it seems to automatically load the video onto the player (even after I unchecked the 'load to player' radio button), which isn't desired. I'd much prefer to keep the player filled with music, and load video onto an SD card separately.
Anyone able to confirm a piece of software that works for the zen? I've tried a couple that output to WMV, but the player refuses to play them back. To confirm, video converted to WMV by the zen software (taken off the zen and then put onto the SD card) works fine.
    Any help is greatly appreciated!

I own a ZV:M for myself for which I generally use DivX Converter for video, but the new Zen will only play WMV9 and MJPEG (something that a lot of digital cameras utilize... not so good for the Zen). Do WMV specific converter files from MovAVI Suite work for you, 'cause a DivX outputted file will definnitely not work for the new Zens.
    Thanks.

  • What's the best WMV to MOV Video Converter?

    Hi,
What's the best .WMV to .MOV Video Converter?
I'm trying to edit imported .WMV files in iMovie HD but iMovie HD doesn't seem to recognize .WMV files.
Any help would be greately appreciated,
    Thank you.

Those other posters are steering you in the right direction. Flip4Mac is the best thing for this, and all the paid functions will work in the free downloaded version, there's just some limitations on the length of any one clip, and a watermark on the video, but it will let you see how well it works...well worth the affordable $.

  • Best wmv to mov video converter

Hi all, I'm really new to mac and have been looking for a video converter for my WMV files. I want to use them in iMovie but the only way to do that is to convert the file types. What would be the best converter out there? Will I loose any quality when converting?
I tried searching on this forum before posting but can't seem to find the info.
    Any help would be great!!!
    Thanks,

  • Recommend an analog to digital video converter

The video camera I own is analog but I want to transfer some home movies to my computer to make DVD's.
I don't need anything too fancy, we're talking home movies here.
    Thanks.

I've used the entry level converter from Canopus, which works great for converting VHS home movies we made to DVD. You can see it at http://canopus.com/products/ADVC55/index.php .

  • Video Converter Probl

I am trying to use the Video Converter. The problem that I am having however is that the software will not recognize my player. I have a Creative Zen Microphoto. It states on the webpage that it is fully compatable with the Microphoto. As well I have the updated Firmware, and updated Creative Player/Organizer as well. Why will the Video Converter not recognize my Microphoto?-MLow90

My Zen has been nothing but a hassel since Ive bought it from Dell a year ago. Oh Why did I not buy a Ipod?
but Ok if you can help PLEASE HELP ME . I just bought another new PC from DELL a 64bit Vista top of the line.
I came here and dl's and installed all the 64bit apps for the Zen.
The Media Expolorer seems to work ok. However the Creative Video COnverter ,,after I add the file and go through the app, and hit Convert . It just hangs at zero percent . Then when I try to touch it WIndows states it is not responding.
I have tried several other films. I have converted films to the Zen format with several other apps and stilll the Zen/Creative
player insists it is not compatiable and will need conversion. Even when it is the correct size etc. yea I used to be a programmer and a Network supervisor so I know what goes on "behind" the front end of apps.
I just dont get that but I got used to it all last year.
and on my thirty two bit PC the conversion took hours but worked.
Can anyone tell me. give me a clue why it is not working now? Why it insists on converting files that are already converted , well. that is something I really do not have the time to care about. I just figure bad programming.
Oh God if I had the time to write all the problems I have had with the Zen eight gig since last year. From having to hit the reset button to sending in back , to all sorts of issues.
I know , I should have bought at least the Microsoft Video Player. or the Ipod. for some reason they seem to work.
I have been a customer of Creative Labs since 993 when I was so excited to get my "Multimedia kit" to play a game named "Myst"
it included a sound blaster sixteen and a two speed cdrom.
    Worked great.
Wat happened to Creative? Is it the hardware or the programmers that are dropping the ball>?
The web site is looking good.
well if you can help you may save a life long customer. I just do not have the time to write WOT's or deal with things that do not work.
One Peev. just one.... You state in all your descriptions of players that they play all these formats. and list several.
This is a lie... Every single file of video must be converted to WMV .
When did Creative begin to bend or use "marketing" language instead of just being techinical?
    OK Im done .
Just some facts. If you need proof of any let me know , [email protected]

  • New Video Converter

I found a super simple video converter, I think that's even simpler than Videora (since I couldn't get that one to work at all.) It's called the 3GP Converter. I figured out hot to use it within a minute of downloading it. The website is here: http://www.videohelp.com/tools?tool=3GP_Converter
The picture is kind of pixely, but it's the best I could do.

Thanks for offering, but it has to do with the file Videora itself. It said something like, it't can't read the file or someting.
And it's actually just the video I put on there that was pixely, not because of the program. This one is really really simple, you just choose iPod setting, drag the file, and it starts. It even puts it into your library for you. It's probably as simple as it can get.
