FYI: Pro Update 2005-02
Just noticed a Pro Update is available. Among other fixes, the artnum (http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=302323) says:
"Addresses the field inversion (image jitter) issue when using Compressor to transcode from HDV to Standard Def MPEG-2."
I can't (read: won't) update until I finish a major HDV/AIC FCP project I'm working on, but I'm interested to see if it solves other folks issues with field order/Compressor.
Did you repair permissions before and after the update?

Pro Applications Update 2005-1 where the **** is it?
Someone please tell me where Pro Applications Update 2005-1 is...
I've had to downgrade to Mac OS X 10.4.9 because of some conflicts and after so many problems this is having me stuck. And how the **** do you email Apple to tell them your Serial Number is genuine even though the webform thinks it isn't?
ARGH!!!!
Thanks in advance

If this is not a time-sensitive issue, you may want to just wait until 10.4.11, which may fix the problem. -
Pro Applications Update 2005-01 keeps reappearing in Softwware Update
Hello. For the past few weeks, Pro Applications Update 2005-01 has shown up in Software Update. I have installed the update quite a few times, and it keeps appearing. I've told it to install several times. Computer info below is still accurate.

Pro Applications Update 2005-1 doesn't install
I have installed DVD Studio Pro 4.0 with Compressor and QMaster.
Then I updated DVD Studio to 4.03.
With these Update there was also the Option to install Pro Applications Update 2005-1 1.1
I marked it and the install routine proceed.
After that both updates are marked with the green tick (checkmark).
BUT after that, to check for newer Updates I started the Search Process again. And it found the 2005-1 1.1 Update again! And nothing more....
Is there a way to get newer Updates in another way?
Do I need the 2005-1 1.1 for newer Updates?
What can I do do get the Update work properly?
I hope somebody could help....

Mail 2.0.5 CRASHES ON OPEN after Security Update 2005-009(Tiger Client)
I'm trying to figure out how to fix this.
I rebooted into a techtool pro e-drive and repaired permissions (as well as some other repairs to the drive, etc), but it still is crashing.
I created a new user and opened mail just fine there.
So... it is something in my account. Not sure exactly what to do next?I'm having the same exact problem. (See Mail 2.0.5 crashes when I get new mail). I deleted my preferences & my junk mail settings, to no avail.
A remarkable number of other people are posting with similar problems, just in the past week or so alone, and as far as I can tell, no one has figured it out. There is definitely a bug here. I have a hunch that it may be related to a recent software update. I'm going to post this to the other threads in hopes of garnering some attention from Apple.
For posterity's sake, I am connecting to a Gmail account, a POP account, and a .Mac account.

Trouble after installing Security Update 2005-009
After installing Security Update 2005-009 I experienced some minor problems with Dashboard where some widgets no longer work and a more annoying problem with CodeTek VirtualDesktop Pro, which exits directly after launching the app (the desktop pager and menu appear and then the app quits). Tried repair of permissions, deleting of VirtualDesktop Pro's prefs, reinstalling the app, etc. - so far nothing helped. CodeTek does not answer my support requests. Has anyone experienced similar problems?
Power Mac G5 1.6 Mac OS X (10.4.3)I would completely uninstall all 3rd party widgets. Restart. Then see if the problem goes away.
It's likely to be an issue with one of your widgets. And possibly a combination of specific one with a specific another.

Problems downloading the new DVD Studio Pro update.
Hi Everyone,
I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem/message when trying to download the new DVDSP update?;
'You appear to have already downloaded the DVD Studio Pro update.'
This also happened on the last updates that were released.
There is a workaround that I know of that I had to use last time but it seems strange that this is occuring. Has anyone else had any issues with this update (or the last for that matter)?
Any help would be greatly appreciated as Apple Tech would not help me because I am on a Volume Licence and the Apple Store that I purchased it through has not given me any help.
Thanks
CarloI can get around this problem by using software update to download the updates and then use the downloaded file to update the machines but I would really like the ability to download the updates as a standalone dmg file.
I am running 20 systems on an airport network that will freeze up if I do the updates online the best i can do is 3 at once to avoid serious lag.
Being able to download them seperately was always my first choice so i could update the machines regardless of being conected to the net or not. The workaround that I am using only downloads the package file and it seems there is the possibility of them being corrupted or damaged over time (moving from server to drives to media to computers etc).
I still want to know why it thinks I have downloaded them already, it doesn't make any sense. -

Activate Acrobat X Pro Update from Acrobat 8 Standard Update
When I try to install the Acrobat 10 Pro Update software that I purchased directly from Adobe, a window opens that demands entry of the Adobe 8 code but does not list Acrobat 8 Standard as one of the possible choices.
When I purchased the upgrade the Adobe web site said" consider an upgrade to Acrobat X Pro if you have Acrobat 9, 8, or 7 Standard."
I not only considered the upgrade, I purchased it for USD 199. How do I install?
This is very unpleasant because in order to try and install Acrobat 10 Pro, I am asked to uninstall Acrobat 8. Then when I get to the final installation step, I am not allowed to continue and am left with nothing!!! Since Adobe 8 was an upgrade to Acrobat 6, the reinstallation process is lengthy.Redwood X I would recommend contacting our support team. They can easily verify your serial number is valid. For the best assistance, I recommend our chat support at http://adobe.ly/yxj0t6. Our chat representatives can provide a personalized experience to resolve the issue you have described.

I tried to download my acrobat 7 pro update but it got corrupted- what do I do?
You're saying you don't back up your phone regularly? You should ALWAYS back up before updating your phone. That said, try resetting first: hold down the home button and the power button for at least 10-20 seconds until you see the Apple. Hopefully you can then try to perform the update again. Start doing backups if your data is important to you.

10.6.3, Acrobat 9.3.2 Pro update broke my PDF printer how to
Hi,
I updated my CS4 Acrobat Pro to 9.3.2 and now my Acrobat Printer errors in the Que when I FIle> Print and select my Adobe PDF Printer.
I deleted the Acrobat Printer from my Print & Fax control panel.
Now I can't figure how to Add my Acrobat printer back.
Is 9.3.2 broken?
I use this all the time, but now it's brokeI just found this article
http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/509/cpsid_50981.html
The Adobe PDF Printer is not available or is unusable in Mac OS X Snow Leopard (v10.6). This situation is due to security features in Snow Leopard that disable the Adobe PDF Printer. Adobe Acrobat 9.1 Pro removes the Adobe PDF Printer and adds a new Save As Adobe PDF command. Customers using earlier versions of Adobe Acrobat in Snow Leopard cannot use the Adobe PDF Printer.
SOLUTION
To add and use the Save As Adobe PDF command:
If you are using Acrobat 9 Pro, update to Acrobat 9.1 Pro. The Updater removes the Adobe PDF Printer from the Printer list and adds the Save As Adobe PDF command to the PDF menu.
In the PDF menu, choose Save As Adobe PDF, and follow the onscreen instructions.
To remove the Adobe PDF Printer manually:
If you upgrade from Mac OS X Leopard (v10.5) to Mac OS X Snow Leopard (v10.6), the Adobe PDF Printer is not removed
Choose Apple > System Preferences.
Open the Print & Fax preference panel.
Select the Printing tab to see the printers list.
Select Adobe PDF 9.0.
Click the minus (-) button.
The Save As Adobe PDF command appears in the PDF menu. -
In need of a link to the online iPod Updater 2005-11-17 1.0
I have done google searches and all of the results point me to 1.1. Does anyone have a valid link for iPod Updater 2005-11-17 for Windows?

iPod Updater 2005-11-17 for Windows?
Thanks
It should be on the CD that came with your ipod. If you're using Windows (don't know about macs), the updater installer keeps the previous versions which should be in your Start button.
The original updater that came with most ipods may have an earlier date, but it's the same 1.0. Each updater services multiple ipod models, so just because the updater date changes, it doesn't necessarily mean that anything changed for your particular ipod. There's only been one update for the ipod 5G which is 1.1. Any version you have before that one will be the same.
Check out your CD. -

VersionTracker says Boot Camp 1.1 has a release date of 2006-08-15 (today). Is this the Mac Pro update? Apple's changelist seems vague ("support for the latest Intel-based Macintosh computers").
