i dont want to be rude, but these kind of questions dont help anyone and dont get it released any sooner.. in the arch way, flag the package "out of date" (if it was not already done) and wait for it.....

flash videos work full screen with no frame drops...
youtube's fullscreen is 4:3 with two black bars filling the screen...and of course, as it was reported in the OP, the html5 demo does not work
the tracemonkey demo showed a big improvement compared to 3.0, although this could be tailored...

FYI: Adobe CS5 products released today

Just a little information post here. Today Adobe released the CS5 suites and products for purchase and trial downloads. Note that Captivate 5 and ELS 2 is not released yet.
Still you can get to play around with Adobe PhotoShop CS5 and the nice Content Aware Fill (even though is is buggy sometimes) and also check out the new Adobe Flash Catalyst CS5. As always you can get a full 30 day trial.
Personally I'm waiting until ELS 2 is released since that will be most economical for me. I am getting Flash Catalyst now though ;o)

Adobe hasnt been consistantly releasing new versions every october. Its usually about every 18 months or so. I wouldnt get your hopes up
but when it does, one thing they should stay away from is making it too easy for people to create a website. There is way too much crap out there and making it too easy just gets people in over their head. Id like to see some aspiring web designers actually learning some basic html and css before they try and tackle big projects

1. Create characteristics via tcode CT04
2. Create Class for class type 032. Via tcode CL02
3. Then go to SPRO -> MM -> Pur -> PR -> Release Procedure with Classification -> Set up procedure. create release group, rel obj, class 032.
Next, set up release codes followed by release indicator.
Then the release strategies.
4. go to tcode CL20N to assign the release group and release strategy to the class and class type.
5. SPRO -> MM -> Pur -> PR -> Release Procedure with Classification -> Set up procedure -> Check Release Strategies

Current AT&T customer wanting to get iPhone

Hi there, I'm a current AT&T customer and have been using a Motorola Razr for years. My contract is up the beginning of March and I'm planning to switch to an iPhone. Just wondering though if I'm better off going to the AT&T store or to go to the Apple store for the upgrade.
I am a mac user and have been for years. Currently working with iCal and the address books and MobileMe for years. I'd prefer to have my settings on the new iPhone work off of those instead of what is on my Motorola Razr SIM card. Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions on what would be the easiest and smoothest changeover? Thanks!

Just an FYI/headsup: apple has released a new iphone during each of the past two summers, so judging by the past it's very likely/possible that apple will release a new version this summer (i am making no claim they will, nor am i starting any rumors)... so just be aware that the phone you buy in march may very well be replaced in a few months time and if a new phone is released in the near future please don't come hear and complain about how you got ripped off (happens all the time)

Using external display

Right now I have an iBook G4, but next month when leopard comes out I am thinking about upgrading to the macBook Pro. I want to use my 23 inch LCD tv as an external monitor, and I am wonderring what the best way to do this would be.
I am planning on buying a DVI to HDMI cord that will go straight into the tv, but if I do this will I be able to use the macBook Pro's dual monitor features? or will I only be able to mirror my screen?
And, a side question, do you think there will be any new features for the macBook pro released with leopard. a price cut? 2.8 ghz? bigger hard drive? anything on the lines of that. Thanks for reading!

You will be able to extend your desktop, you just need to go to System Preferences > Displays and uncheck the mirroring box.

Newer versions of Acrobat's AutoCAD plug-in support newer versions of AutoCAD. Older versions of Acrobat have plug-ins that obviously don't support versions of AutoCAD newer than the Acrobat release. FYI, Acrobat 9 was released over seven years ago.

A Guide for Testing SAP NW MI & its Mobile Solutions (MAM, MAU, MTT, ...)

Hi Guys,
As per my experience, there is no enough Methodology & Tools to test the SAP Mobile solutions landscape. There are scattered documents from SAP, which are neither enough nor sufficient to carry out the different required tests from Unit test till the stress & volume tests before the Go-Live in a reliable way!
I would appreciate it very much if we combine all our experiences to compile a guide about this topic, which we can all share and even continue updating it as SAP guys further develop their Mobile Technology.
I would suggest that this SAP Mobility Solutions Test Guide should contain the main sections:
- Testing NW MI MW server.
- Testing the ECC as a MI backend system
- Critical business processes of the mobile scenario (MAM for example)
- Testing the Mobile Applications on clients devices (MAM, MAU, MTT, )
- Performance tuning tips for all the involved software components
- Performance tuning tips for the all involved servers.
The guide should contain methodologies, tools, reference to SAP documents, sample actual testing results, ...
I would volunteer to compile your feedback into final master document and publish the final guide in SDN for all of us.
If somebody compiled such guide, it would be great if you publish it in the SDN.
Your feedback about this idea and contents for this guide is much appreciated & sure will help all of us to deliver better quality.

We have been executing few standard test cases and enhancing them.
So can you explain more clearly about what sort of methodologies you are talking about.
We generally analyze customer raised messeges and try to pump in more test cases to cover the features.
May be this is the starting to get more enchaments methodologies to improve MI.
FYI..In Newyork release MI architecture is going to be changed a bit...so can expect better performance(Webdynpro from client side)

CRVS2010 - Is it ok if previous version of CR is installed on target box

I know this was not recommended during CRVS2010 Beta but i could not find any official document stating the same for CRVS2010 production release. Can you please let me know if it's Ok to have a previous verisons of CR runtime installed on the box/VM where we are installing "SAP Crystal Reports for .Net 4.0 runtime engine" or is it not recommended.
FYI. n earlier release of our product, we used to use Merge modules.
Since we do not have merge modules for x64 for CRVS2010, in this release of our product, installation of the "SAP Crystal Reports for .Net 4.0 runtime engine" is being done as a setup prerequisite via our product's setup installer.

So far I have not heard of any issues that would impact your distribution. There are two known issues with side by side compatibility;
1) crqe.dll has a guid that is the same as that from version 12 (CR 2008). But I have not heard of this causing issues.
2) When developing an app and you have CR 10.5 (bundled with .NET 2008) and CRVS2010, the project will pull in both version 13 and version 10.5 assemblies. See Kb 1544693 and 1544532 for details (use the search box - top right corner of this page). This issue will not impact your side by side install.
As always, it is advisable to test your scenarios before deploying to a production box...

How to convert Warning Message ME495 to Error Message?

Hi,
Can someone please tell how can the Warning (W) Message no. ME495 i.e. "New release strategy determined due to changes in requisition" can be converted to Error (E) Message. This message no. does not appear in SPRO -> MM -> Purchasing -> Environment Data -> Define Attributes of System Messages and also it does not make any difference if it is added here manually as Warning message.
Just FYI - this message "New release strategy determined due to changes in requisition", appears when changes are made in the existing PR having Release Strategy in effect.

Thanks for your reply. However, I checked that earlier and I think since this an SAP standard program and therefore, changes could not be made to change it to an Error message. Is not there any setting or way of to convert this Warning message into an Error message?

EM12cR2 - how to clean up old agent core directories after upgrade?

Running EM12cR2+PSU1 on Linux x86-64.
Does anybody know the recommended/supported/correct way to remove old versions of the EM12c agent core directories on managed servers after the agents have been upgraded to EM12cR2? This isn't a huge issue, but I've been setting up my agents on small (2GB) dedicated volumes and I won't have enough space available for the next round of upgrades unless I get the old stuff cleared out.
I have one server that was added to the environment after my EM12cR2 upgrade, and several servers that were already being monitored before the upgrade. The servers where I upgraded the agents after installing EM12cR2 all still have copies of the agent base core/12.1.0.1.0 directory along with the new agent base core/12.1.0.2.0 directory. I've tried removing this directory and bouncing the agent, but the agent gets blocked since it apparently cannot locate some files it expects to find. Other than being rejected by the OMS, the agent appears to function fine. I can only unblock the agent successfully if I put the 12.1.0.1.0 directory back in place.
Here's what I'm seeing on an upgraded agent:

The fact that the agent on the server that never had 12.1.0.1.0 installed is working fine would seem to indicate that the 12.1.0.1.0 binaries aren't required for proper functionality, but I'm just not clear on how to remove them. I would like to avoid losing the targets monitored by these agents and having to recreate them and their jobs and so on.
Any thoughts? Has anybody else had the same issue occur in their environment?

If you are talking about the target agent upgrade to 12.1.0.2 and there is core dir left behind then you can delete only the contents of the $AGENT_BASE_DIR/core/12.1.0.1.0 directory and make sure that
the directory $AGENT_BASE_DIR/core/12.1.0.1.0 exists
Just FYI: for next EM release, we have a proper feature: sign off process where all dangling old oracle homes, their disk foot pints plus oms side artifacts, for upgraded agents can be removed.
The Upgrade guide is also getting updated with same information, should be live in next 2-3 days. We have told the same to come of our customer like AT&T, Fedility ..etc

Anyone in Oracle care to give an update on the promised release of Forms 6i for XP?

We have not yet stated which patchset will contain the XP certification. Whoever told you it was in patchset 12 was incorrect. The official statement can be found on Metalink, in the certification section. (Look up Forms 6i on XP).

FYI,
In a future release, BC4J will also allow VOs that use oracle-database ROWNUM features to fetch only a range full of rows rather than the entire set of rows. For queries that return thousands of rows and you want to display them in a table or pages, this option on the VO should come in handy.
