G 570 Hinge problem

Hey I bought this lenovo g 570. 6months later had this know issue of hinge so I went back to shop from where I bought it n they got it repaired as it was in warranty. It happened again after 4 months so I tighten up the screws myself, it was working fine. Now its giving problem again and now something is broken inside as it can be seen I went back to shop and they says its not in warranty so they will charge. This is ridiculous because this is know popular problem you guys can't fix it and still charging us to get it fixed every 6 months. Its not my **bleep**ing problem that warranty expired, when it was in warranty why the hell u guys didn't fix it properly. Does it mean we need to pay every 6 months to get it repaired? Does it mean we need to pay because u guys can't find solution?
This is not enough I called customer care service, explained this stupid guy everything n he repeated this "sorry we can't do it for free"stupid line 4-5 times while I'm still trying to explain what's happening. I got frustrated and told him get your manager. Guess what he told me to wait and never came back. I waited for 7 minutes n hung up.
Can anybody help me in this??

When I use g++ link ,an error generate " Undefind sqlcxt(void **, unsigned int *, sqlexd *, const sqlcxp *) " . But I use gcc link ,find there is no error.
How can I resolve it??
Thanks for reply it!

  • Hinge problem

Hi Everyone, I'm having the same hinge problem as a lot of other people with my Hp Envy m6. It's out of warranty and I'm just wondering what options I have. My laptop is everything to me as I'm in my last year of college and I'm also a DJ so it's an essential part of my life.
The bottom left of my monitor (the black plastic part) is cracked because of the hinges coming loose. I see a lot of other people are having the same problem but this is getting serious on my laptop as the screen is starting to flash if I move the laptop around. Could someone please point me in the right direction as it seems to be a problem with the hardware as a number of others are having the same problem.
Thank you for your time,Brendan Lambe.

  • Portege M100 screen/hinge problem

I have a Portege M100 and have a slight problem with the screen
The left screw has come out & been lost. This has left the screen very "wobbly" and it seems to have popped out of a catch or two, just on the left side as the case/back of screen seem to gape slightly from the front at times down by the hinge.
I would like to try to replace the screw & get it back to "normal" but I can't find any instructions or advice as to how the screen fits - can anyone help me to clip it back together & rplace the screw?
(please don't make comments about how old it is, it's what I have & I can't afford to replace it at the moment!)

    Hi
I think there are no manuals or instructions how to replace something on a notebook. Such technical documents are not for public, they only available for authorized service provider.
So I would recommend an ASP because there you can also get the right spare part for your notebook and the technicians help you to repair it. :)

  • 2008 Macbook Air Screen Hinge Problem

Hi all, so my 2008 Macbook Air's hinge got a little loose, and I was told Apple would replace it for free, so I took it to them. HUGE MISTAKE. After the hinge was replaced the screen didn't fully line up when the laptop was closed and the screen started going out like once every 2 weeks, but only for like a tenth of a second so I never really thought it was a problem. It never did this before Apple fixed the loose hinge. About 6 months after the hinge was replaced, it started doing it daily, and shortly after that it did it every time I open the laptop, so now it officially is a problem for me. I brought it back to Apple and they told me that I would have to pay for an expensive new repair or buy a new laptop, even after I explained to them that the laptop was perfectly fine before they replaced the hinge. They said I should have come within 3 months, but I was back at school and it was not a problem at all then, nor did I think it would be. I brought it to a 3rd party repair shop and they did not open the laptop but they said it looks like the screen cable is being pinched by the new hinge since it is not lined up perfectly. Is there anything that can be done or do I have to buy a new laptop?

I'm a college student with no car or Apple store nearby and the laptop was shipped back to me because of that. If I had to go another week without a laptop that would have been disasterous, but more importantly I had no way of knowing it would stop working or that the slight misalignment was anything other than cosmetic, I'm no tech genius and I clearly wasn't the one who put the laptop together wrong. It wasn't even my fault the hinge got loose in the first place! Sigh, I suppose if they can't make this right I hope I can learn to use Windows.

  • Monitor hinge problem?

I got one of the brand new 21.5 models last month, and in my respects am very happy with it - pleasingly zippy and with no stuck pixels at all, which makes for quite a nice change. But I'm getting a little worried by the monitor hinge - it seems noticeably looser than my previous iMac and I have a regular sensation that the top of the monitor has tilted forward (or the bottom has tilted back, depending on how you look at it), so I keep fiddling with it. It's not massively obvious - I don't see any movement or tilting actually taking place, for example - so it's hard to be sure to what extent I'm simply imagining it, but...is this a known issue with these machines? Should I be concerned?

A slightly belated thank you. The screen feels fairly firm under my finger but I still have a strange sensation of the screen tilting forward over time. However, it may simply be an optical illusion - perhaps there is some subtle difference in the dimensions or orientation of this model that is confusing my eye. In any case, it doesn't seem a serious enough problem to warrant a trip to my nearest Apple service provider (about 15 miles away).

  • MacBook pro 2012 hinge problem? help!!

PLEASE HELP WHAT IS THIS? WHAT IS CAUSING IT? WHAT CAUSED IT?
im going to apple tomorrow to get it checked out i jus wana know ^ (the questions)

I have this problem too with my Mid-2012 MBP non-retina. The screen would click once, after being left for a long time, and would be fine after that, until you close it and re-open it again after a long time. It is especially loud in the morning so I think it is temperature dependent. Happened about 3 months after buying. I took it to Apple. First time they replaced the entire screen. They had to since that is the only way to replace the hinge. When I got it back, the screen still clicks. Took it back to Apple again. Second time they just tightened the screws securing the display with the unibody. When I got it back the second time, the screen still clicks. Took it back to Apple again. The third time they replaced the entire screen AGAIN! When I got it back, the problem was fixed for 2 days, then the screen started clicking again so I'm back to square one. I'm wondering whether I should take it to Apple the forth time, but then again, they've already replaced the screen twice which didn't work so I'm not sure what more they can do. It's either this is normal, which implies the screen hinge is really badly designed or the clicking has nothing to do with the screen at all.

  • If you're having hinge problems with your Lenovo g570 (Possibly others)

My laptop would make this little popping sounds whenever I would open and close it and it sounded almost like plastic snapping together. Well anyways today I noticed I was missing a screw! On the bottom side of the laptop right next to the hinge that made the noise. I surprisingly found it and put it back in its place an it no longer makes that sound! But if any of you are having that problem I would reccommend tightening the screw and replacing it if your's is missing also.
Just came here to post this, because I was scared my hinge was about to break!

  • Y50-70 Non-Touch - Broken Hinges Problem

Hello all,  6 Months old Lenovo Y50-70, with regular usage, and no misuse. Has the plastic covering the hinges, broken. Regular usage, such has, over the desk, on an cooling pad, daily usage of 8 hours average (Std. deviation 3 hours). Using caution and care, while packing and removing from a bag. Never holded with a single hand. Never moved with the screen lid open. This is my regular usage. Misuse such as, holding in any position or angle which can warrant damage. Or any intentional act that does warrant to damages. Or any intentional act where, I have tried to alter the hardware of the product. Any unintentional accident, due to lack of diligence, or any in the same meaning. I have done no such misue on the product. I bought this PC in the Middle East (Dubai, U.A.E.). Once I noticed the damages, I alerted the service center. They provided me with a drop-off point. I provided the laptop, and was told that I would receive a call in 3-4 working days. On the 4th working day, I recieved the call. It was a guy who called me. He told me, striaght-away that this damage is not covered under the warranty. Additionally he also said, that he would also confirm the same with this supervisor. This was a bit confusing, if it is unconfirmed then why say it is not under the warranty. Or was he just mentally preparing me that probably I might have to pay for the damages. I had read earlier on this forum, the following. "The investigation into customer reports of hinge mount failures on Y50-70 Touch laptops has concluded. If your laptop is within warranty, and has not otherwise been damaged, please contact Lenovo Service for assistance. Thank you,Amy Tupper
    Technical Resolution Lead, Pervasive Issues
Lenovo US"Link : Amy_Lenovo's original post. This is quite inconclusive, as to what I should do. The obvious decision would be to send it to the service center, but the main issue seems to be unanswered.1. Is this a defect? Either manufacturing, design, or in general. Is this defect limited to certain serials? Or batches, if any?2. If this is not a defect, how should I change my regular usage, so that it doesn't warrant such damages in the future? Just these two questions. In-case this is a defect, I can use this forum, as a reference. And which will save some effort in explaining the service center folks. So what is the verdict?

Does anyone know exactly what they do to fix this issue when you send you laptop in for repair under warranty?
The concern here is that it is repaired under warranty, but the problem will occur again after a few weeks.
Do they simple glue everything back together?
Do they loosen the screws in the hinge?
Do they replace the laptop with a new model (a newer manufacter date) that does not have this problem?

  • Hinge problems on DM4-2165DX

I am having the same problem as everyone else.  Both hinges have now failed despite taking excellent care of my laptop, especially since the left one first cracked.  An obvious poor design.  To open and shut it is now a delicate operation.  Will my computer receive further damage in the future due to these hinge covers now being gone?  I need help!

If it is just the hinge cover, i doubt it will hurt anything, if it is the hinge itself, then yes it is possible further damage will happen.

  • Hinge problem with external damage

My Macbook Air has a broken hinge. I read here that Apple repairs this problem for free (http://support.apple.com/kb/ts2948) so I gave my Macbook to the local Latvian Apple authorized service and they said that the hinges are broken because I have a bump on one of the corners and that is my fault and they can not repair that.
They said that the only way to repair my Macbook is to buy a new display for ~400LVL (~750USD). More than a year after i bought the computer the hinges got looser and looser until one day when I picked up my computer from the table, display fell and the left hinge broke completely. The problem is that the bump I have on the corner is from the very beginning when I bought the computer in the US and it is not on the side where the broken hinge is. Now the display cable is broken. I am 100% sure that the hinge did not crack because of the small bump I have on the corner since I bought the computer.
What can You suggest me to do? Is there any chance that i could get a free repair because 750USD is way too expensive?

You can try a different service provider - I see three in Riga - and see if you get a different answer.
If not, your final chance would be to contact Apple customer relations by calling 800 03251 and asking to speak with a customer relations representative and asking if there's anything that can be done. But the chances are not good, since external damage sufficient to cause a dent in the casing usually will void the warranty.
If all of those options fail, there will be no choice for you other than to pay for the repair or purchase another computer.
    Good luck, and regards.

  • TX2000 plastic swivel hinge problem

    Hey,
So I have  HUGE problem with my swivel hinge. It seems that whatever connective plastic attached the screen to the hinge snapped.
Just to be clear, this is not a problem of the screen "wobbling", it simply no longer stays up. My warranty is over so I really want to know if there's another way of fixing it with low cost and quick because I have to go back to college in less than 2 weeks.

Thanks for the link, I think it helped.
I don't think my hinge is cracked or anything like that, just that the middle part springs a little bit.
I just talked to Apple support and they are suggesting me to take it in for Apple Genius bar, and saying that the screw might not been fully tied.

  • HP Envy 15-JO63CL broken hinge problem

My hinge on the right side of the laptop has broken. This is obviously from a manufacturing flaw, because I have babied this thing because I need it for work. The screw for the right hinge falls out, and little chunks of plastic sound like they are rattling around inside of it. When I open and close the laptop it pries open along the right edge.
I bought this laptop 8 month ago, but it says I am out of warranty.
Can you please help me fix this issue? This was an expensive laptop and the hinge should not wear out after only 8 month of very gently use.
Also, after some research it has become obvious that this is common problem for this laptop, and HP laptops in general.

This is my 5th HP laptop and I haven't had any issues until this one.  I have an HP Envy that is just over a year old and the left side hinge is pulling out of the laptop and pushing the top of the keyboard section up when I try to close it.   The laptop hasn't been dropped or damaged in any way.  What can I do?

You think the warranty doesn't cover this flaw? Is expensive repair the hinge?
    Thanks for you help.
