G15- trouble connecting camera to computer to upload photos.

I am suddently unable to connect my G15 to my computer to upload photos. I've tried a new cord but still, nothing is happening. Any suggestions?

You might need to reload the driver file for the camera. What computer operating system are you using? Windows 7, or maybe a Mac? Would need to know more about the computer to give good advice.

WRT54GS Router-trouble connecting to vista computer

I have 2 laptops. One is xp and one is vista. I used the setup cd to install my new router on both of them. the first thing i noticed was that there were 2 very different setups for the vista and the xp computers. when i loaded it into the xp computer it came with a proram called "easylink advisor". All i did was folow the directions and it was perfect, the xp computer is wireless. when i go onto the easy link advisor it has an option and tells you how to connect another computer to your router wirelessly. I followed all the steps on that and it did not work. as soon as i unplug the blue cord from the vista computer the internet connection is lost. I noticed that the router is connected to that computer becasue when i go to "manage wireless networks" it is there, but when i click on the symbol by the clock and click "connect to a network" there should be a lst of all the networks i am connected to and there is nothing there. so where is my netowork??? its there according to the "manage wireless networks" page!?!?!?!
I hope that someone can help me with this problem. I have been at this all day!

Try turning your ON the wireless switch of the laptop & you will be able to see the wireless networks...click yours...click CONNECT...if secured it will ask you for hte wireless password & you will be able to go ONLINE WIRELESSLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Having trouble connecting 3G to computer

So I have a bit of an odd problem. My stepfather's iPhone 3G won't connect to his new computer. iTunes is installed and updated, yet when we plug his phone in, it doesn't recognize anything. Windows isn't even recognizing it. Here's the strange thing. When we plug MY iPhone 3G into HIS computer, it connects just fine, AND when we plug HIS iPhone 3G into MY computer, once again it works just fine. Both computers are PC running XP.
Does anyone have ANY idea what could be going on here?

Hi,
Are you connecting the iPhones with the same USB cable?
Make sure the iPhone is directly connected to a high-speed USB2 port on the PC, using the USB cable that came with it.

After ois 7 upgrade i can no longer connect my camera via wifi to upload photos to my iphone, nor ipad

I have a Canon camera that has wifi. Before the OIS 7 upgrade, I could upoad phots from my camera to either the iphone, or ipad wirelessly. Since the upgrade, i cannot. Anyone found a soluti on. I have tried resetting the settings on the camera to original, renaming the camera name to remove the apostrophe.

Yes I tried this manyfold. But did not work. Reading on, I took Tesserac's advice. Shut down router and computer.
Start router after 15 minutes and wait another 10 minutes before starting the computer.
Et voila.... everything is back in working order,

Trouble connecting Ipod to computer (USB)

I've had my iPod for about a month and a half, and haven't had any problems using it or connecting to to my PC. Yesterday I tried to connect my iPod to the computer to transfer some music and was greeted with the message "A USB device has malfucntioned and exceeded the power limits of its hub port" and the instruction to remove the device. I have tried using other USB devices in the same port--it works fine with a mouse, a printer, and an external hard drive--and moving the USB cable for the iPod to another port. The iPod does not work with any port--USB 1 or 2--even though the ports work fine for other USB devices. I have tried using a different USB cable, as I had a spare--this also did not work. Is the problem with my iPod? How do I get this fixed?

Yes, I have restored from Backup via i-Cloud. I've restored the iPod to factory settings. It seem like there is a driver issue. I installed iOS 5.01 and updated iTunes to 10.5.3.3 at about the same time. Win-Vista64, iTunes and iPod are all up to date. Apple Genius, at local Apple store was also perplexed. He suggested I ask the community. So, here I am.
It is strange that I can connect to other computers. But, the other computers have Win 7. Could this be a Vista64 driver issue?

I am new to compressor but not to FCP. Have been searching the forum and reading but not getting it. My client wants me to upload a :60 to his FTP in MPEG-2. I understand that the audio file is separate when creating mpeg-2. How do I connect them and make a file to upload?

Compressor 2.x.x and earlier can only make MPEG-2 Transport Streams, not Program Streams. You need Compressor 3 or later to be able to make Program Streams using Compressor. But with a little help of a great application called MPEG Streamclip, you can easily make MPEG-2 Program Streams.
Encode your video and audio using Compressor. For audio, choose AIFF, and make sure it gets the same name as the .m2v, but of course with the right .aif suffix.
Open the .m2v file in MPEG Streamclip (the audio should automaticly load with the video file if they have the same file name). Choose the file menu and choose Covnvert To MPEG or Covnvert To MPEG Using MP2 Audio, depending on what your client wants. Ask them.
Keep in mind that when opening the .mpeg with PCM audio in QuickTime Player, you can not hear any audio. To check if the PCM audio really was included, open the .mpeg file in MPEG Streamclip and listen there. The .mpeg file with MP2 audio should play the audio in both QuickTime Player and MPEG Streamclip.

My iPhone 5s will not connect via wi fi to my computer using the hotspot. sometimes , if I plug it in via USB it works but most times the blue"personal hotspot connection" bar just jumps and does nothing else. Anyone , can you help?

If nothing else is working, I would reset the network settings on the iPhone. Settings/General/Reset/Reset Network Settings. Nothing will be erased from the phone, but you will need to re-enter any wifi connection you had set up previously along with re-enter any bluetooth connection you had.

I have a Dell computer. I see where the cord (that goes from the computer to the iPod) looks like it should go in the front, but it does not fit. Where do I plug it in to the computer? Is that the right spot in the front and I need some kind of adapter? Please help!

First of all make sure you have USB2.0 cable, they are the only ones compatible for the new iPods. Also make sure you are plugging it in right side up. Lastly Dell computers have ports in the front and back so if it doesn't work in one it should work in the other

When I first got the phone I was able to connect the USB wire to my mac with ease and transfer photos, pictures, etc. I connected it again and when asked to connect I hit "Don't ask this question again" and accidently hit no. So now when I hook up my phone to my Mac it just starts charging and doesn't allow me to transfer stuff. Any help?

Check the Mass Storage Mode support in your device.
Go to Options -> Memory -> Mass Storage Mode Support and Auto Enable Mass Storage Mode When Connected.

When I plug my ipod nano into the computer the computer recognizes it as my ipod but a message keeps coming up on itunes saying an ipod has been detected but it cannot be identified properly and to disconnect and try again. I have done this repeatedly but it the same message keeps popping up. Please help!

I have a casio camera DSC W70 I upload photos with. What is a .THM

I am able to upload my movies and photos. But I see that .MPG (The file I am always able to open always has an exec file below it titled .THM that is the same # as the MPG file.
For example:
MOV00903.MPG
MOV00903.THM
Is this THM for PC users and should I regard it as a carbon copy sort of thing? It wont open. I am assuming its the same file, I just can't open it.

It's just a Windows file that contains a tiny version of the image for display in Windows version of Finder, like a preview icon. I believe Windows does not even use .THM files anymore, it has been replaced with a ThumbsDB file which remembers thumbnail icons for the entire directory.
They copied that from Macintosh.

When there are photos in your iPhone's Camera Roll, your iPhone is also detected as a digital camera when connected to your computer. Not a good idea to depend on your iPhone's backup alone for these photos, and deleting the photos from the Camera Roll after the import process is complete will improve your iPhone's backup time. If you want any of the imported photos available on your iPhone for viewing, you can add the photos to an existing iPhoto album already selected to be transferred to your iPhone followed by a sync, or create a new iPhone album for the recently imported photos, select the new iPhoto album under the Photos tab for your iPhone sync preferences followed by a sync.

So for christmas I got an iPhone and currently, I'm having trouble connecting my iPhone to my iTunes on my computer. If I get on my computer and open my iTunes, I can use it perfectly fine but once I tried to connect my phone to it, it told me the software needed to be updated before it would work with my phone. I went to the website and tried downloading the updated version 10 times but every time it told me it couldn't connect with an apple device or something. So then I tried just going to my downloads and stuff and moving the actual song straight to my phone but it would always tell me my device has ended or has been disconnected. All I'm trying to do is move some songs onto my phone from my computer. They weren't purchased straight from iTunes so it's not showung up in my "purchased" on my phone. (I think I got them from amazon and some are cds that I my computer that I got years ago. Maybe thats why they don't show up in the purchased?) Anyway, how can I fix this? I have a windows computer if that can help at all. Thanks!!!

Also, I just opened my iTunes on my computer then plugged my phone to the computer and a box popped up saying "This iPhone cannot be used because the Apple Mobile Device is not started"
I have no idea what that means.
I don't have that option on the side that says what device is connected so I can't sync or anything.
