G3 bluetooth malfunction with Jabra speakerphone, etc.

I drove down to Apple store chatting away happily on my Jabra SP5050 Bt (bluetooth) Speakerphone with my first-generation iPhone, but driving home with a new iPhone G3, the device was unable to discover the phone and vice-versa.
I tried to see if my MacBook Pro and new iPhone could discover each other to no avail.
Is the bluetooth in the iPhone be malfunctioning, or is there some deeper problem?

Life is more difficult when one is a complete idiot. But I did think to consult with Jabra's FAQ:
Can I pair more than 1 cell phone with my SP5050?
The SP5050 is not a multipoint device so it can only be paired with one cell
phone at a time. It will only "remember" the last cell phone it was paired
with.
After pairing the new phone with the unit, all is good.

  • Wrong Bluetooth connection with car speakerphone

Yesterday I received in exchange for the Omnia 7 a Lumia 800. The first thing i did was to test the BT Connection to the BT speakerphone in an Opel Astra.  Worthwhile the functions are different between the Omnia and the Lumia.
The connection works. But with the Lumia I had no network operator display, no signal strength and can not even call from the car. How can that be for the same operating system? Unfortunately, this point is a big reason for a return of the phone. For me, this is a step backwards, I dare not go into ...

  • Pairing iPhone 4 with Jabra BT3030

Does anyone else use a Jabra BT3030 that has been paired successfully to the iPhone 4?  I was always able to do it with my previous Verizon phone (Samsung Omnia) but when I try to pair it to the new iPhone 4, I can't get to the screen where the passkey (0000) is entered.  The phone recognizes the device and says it is not paired, but then it goes straight to connected status without letting me open the passkey screen.   Once it's connected, the only option is "Forget this Device", (which I would rather not since I like it).  Even though it shows connected, the phone and Jabra don't communicate.  I've followed the steps shown on the Jabra website and the iPhone manual, but to no avail.

    Hello,
Thank you for providing the bluetooth accessory that you are trying to pair to your device.  Below are the instructions on how to pair specifically to your iPhone.  The security code can either be 0000 or 1234.
Step 1 - Enable Bluetooth functionality on the iPhone 4
From the Home screen, select Settings.
    Select General
    Select Bluetooth
    Set Bluetooth to On
Step 2 - Put your fully charged Bluetooth headset into pairing mode.
Press and hold the answer/end button to turn on the headset
Your headset will automatically go into pairing mode when you turn on for the first time
Your Bluetooth accessory is now in pairing mode and ready to be paired with your handset
    Manual Paring
Press and hold the answer/end button for 5 seconds until the keypad turns solid blue
Your Bluetooth accessory is now in pairing mode and ready to be paired with your handset
Step 3 - Pair the iPhone 4 with a Bluetooth Accessory
With Bluetooth power on, from the Home screen, select Settings.
    Select General
    Select Bluetooth
Place accessory in pairing mode. See accessory pairing instructions
Choose the accessory device on iPhone, and enter its passkey or PIN number, normally 0000 or 1234

  • Pair iphone 5 with jabra BTE2

how to pair IPHONE 5 with JABRA BTE2 tried a lot
but IPHONE4 is CONNECTED with the JABRA BTE2

    No, they will not interfere.
I pair my phone with my car, multiple bluetooth headsets, bluetooth speakers, a Wahoo Blue SC speed and cadence sensor, and a Scochse bluetooth heart rate monitor regularly without any issues.
Granted I never have more then two at a time paired.
Having a fuelband will have not affect on the other devices as it uses a seperate profile.

  • Any way to increase N8 Bluetooth reliability with ...

I have successfully connected my N8 to a iGo Stowaway Ultra Slim Bluetooth keyboard and a Logitech Bluetooth mouse. However, the connections are not reliable.
Are there any settings I can make, on the phone, to increase the ability of the phone to maintain a Bluetooth connection, once it's established?
The keyboard and mouse disconnect at seemingly random times. Sometimes this can happen while I'm actually using the devices - in the middle of a sentence I'm typing or while I'm actively using the mouse.
At other times, the N8 will report the connection remains, but the device isn't working. For example, the keyboard is still powered on, there was a connection just a moment ago, but now the keyboard is not causing text to be entered to the phone. The phone's Bluetooth screen, though, indicates there is still a connection to the keyboard. 'Same thing can happen with the mouse.
If I go to turn off Bluetooth, it asks if I want to do that, even though there are active connections.
At other times, I manually disconnect the device, then attempt to reconnect, but receive a message from the phone that there are no more Bluetooth connections available. No more connections available? I've disconnected some of them!
In 30 minutes or so, the connection can be established and dropped several times. Is it possible I've got some sort of default power-saving setting that can be changed?
    Thanks for any ideas.

This problem continues to be unresolved and I'd like to keep the topic alive, in case there's a user who has a possible solution. . .
No matter how many Bluetooth devices are connected, with the exception of a the Jabra headset I use, the connectivity issues continue. It seems as though the Bluetooth connection with the N8 is very unstable.
Often, the device - either the mouse or the keyboard - will cease to function. However, the Bluetooth screen on the N8 continues to report the device is connected. If I manually disconnect, then attempt to reconnect, I will sometimes get a message that the N8 is "Unable to connect. Maximum number of Bluetooth connections already in use." Thjis can happen even when I've manually disconnected all devices and no active connections are showing.
I find I must then turn off Bluetooth. Wait a moment. Then I restart Bluetooth on the N8 and manually reconnect the devices (the phone permits reconnection, once Bluetooth has been turned off, then back on again).
I have tried deleting and re-connecting each device new, all over again.
Often, when I attempt to manually reconnect even recognized, authorized devices (after the N8 Bluetooth has been turned off, then on again), the N8 requires the device be re-authorized with its passcode.
Has anyone found a way to handle what appears to be a very fragile Bluetooth capability with the N8?

  • Bluetooth problems with Xperia C4 - Android Wear - Motorola 360

Hello, I have a serious problem with my new Sony Xperia C4 Dual phone
I'm always losing the connection with my Motorola 360 smartwatch. The first time I start everything, I can pair my phone with my watch.
Everything is working fine (watchfaces, apps, notifications, etc).
But randomly (can be 1 hour or can be 1 day, when the phone is too far from the watch, after a phone restart, or ...) the Bluetooth connection is lost and will never come back.
If I could restart the connection that would not be that serious but... I can't!
Android Wear will then start hanging on "Connecting" state and it will not reconnnect until I completely restart the pairing process. The only way is to reconnect is :
    1. Delete the watch in Motorola Connect
    2. Delete the watch in Android Wear
    3. Hard reset the watch (otherwise it's impossible to start the pairing process)
    4. Turn off and turn on bluetooth on Xperia C4
    5. Disconnect all other Bluetooth devices (like car audio and BSP10 Speaker)
    6. Restart the pairing process
The whole process is taking about 15 minutes and 30% of the watch battery. (because every apps needs to be reinstalled) What I did so far and did not fix the random disconnection problem :
-Hard resetted 2 times the phone
-Hard resetted 4 times the watch (2x on 5.0 and 2x on 5.1 Android Wear)
    -Restarted many times the phone
    -Restarted many times the watch
-Tried with the "Sony Smart Connect App" disabled on the phone
-Tried without any extra app on the watch (uninstalled trackID or Sony Music, for example)
-Updated all the apps on the phone
-Tried with a "Blank" phone and "Blank" watch (did not install ANY application) What I can say :
-The problem occurs even in Android 5.0.2 or 5.1.1 on the watch (Motorola has just rolled out the 5.1.1 OTA)
-The problem occurs with different Moto 360 Watches (tried with the watch of a friend, same problems)
-The problem occurs only on the Xperia C4 (Dual) phone. (works great on a Zopo ZP999, Wiko Highway and Galaxy S3)
-Even after resetting, it is sometimes difficult to find the watch in the Bluetooth list, while every other phone can see the watch perfectly!
-Bluetooth hardware is working perfectly, because I can connect to my car, with my BSP10 speaker and another Bose SLIII Speaker. Additional information for the watch :Motorola 360 Watch Build LDZ220Android Wear 1.1.1.2006643Google Play Services 7.5.76 (2002306-534)Android Platform 5.1.1 Additional information for the phone :Android 5.0Model E5333 (Xperia C4 Dual)Build 27.1.B.1.81Smart Connect 5.7.18.401 (11 june 2015) What I think :
There is something that is preventing the watch from being connected properly in the Sony extra Apps.
I think the Smart Connect and Throw (and maybe other) extra apps are bringing a lot of trouble to the Bluetooth connection with the watch. Since 2 days, Motorola has just rolled out the 5.1.1 update of the Moto 360 watch, the update is now enabling WiFi.
I connected my watch to the wifi and the "Cloud sync" connection is working perfectly in Android Wear.
When there is no Wifi network, the phone/watch are trying to connect back with Bluetooth... and the problems can begin. Other problem : when the watch is connected to the phone, immediatly after making NFC contact with my Sony BSP10 speaker (to pair them), the connection is lost between the phone and the watch. So if I use my speaker i will have to hard reset my watch. In fact... every morning I take my watch and I need to start that f*c*in pairing process because of the software bug on the phone. Can somebody help here?
Is there any update planned? Thanks in advance, Guich

Hello Quester : Like I said, I tried with two different watches ( 2x moto 360) and the problem is still present.
So you can exclude there is something wrong with the watch.
I tried with 5.0.2 and 5.1.1 on the watch and it has no effect. My bluetooth hardware is working fine one the phone, too. (other devices are working, like speakers, car, laptop). So clearly, there is a SOFTWARE issue that drops the pairing and makes Android Wear losing the connection and never coming back. Yesterday everything was working fine until I used the BSP10 speaker, connection with the watch was lost.
I'm absolutely sure the problem is bound to Sony Smart Connect/Throw/whatever because on other phones it works perfectly!

  • OS3 with Jabra BT 3030

    Hi,
I just update OS3 and think that it can solve my problem with Jabra BT3030 stereo bluetooth headset but it's not at all. I can listen to music with stereo output but I can't use any button on BT3030 except volume adjustment.
Anyone face the same problem or any ideas?
    Thanks a lot
    Yos

    Hi HimesamA,
this is true with most bluetooth headsets, where the forward/bacward skip buttons do not work. I also have the JabraBT3030 and it does not work, it does work however if I use the Sony dongle (TMR-BT8IP) so it is not the Jabra. Although the Play/Pause button should work, it works for me at least.
Every one here hopes Apple will fix this issue soon. Enjoy wireless music and volume for now

  • IOS6 bluetooth connection with car stereo

With my iPhone 4S running iOS5, my after-market car stereo bluetooth was able to read my song name, artist name, ect. Now that I upgraded to iOS6 my Kenwood receiver cannot read this data while connected via bluetooth. Since the data can't be read, the steering wheel control to search/skip a song forward or back also no longer works. I tested the car stereo last night with an iOS5 phone and it worked correctly, so I know the problem is related to the bluetooth iOS6.

  • I use a bluetooth headset with iPhone 5 but when I ask Siri to read my email she says I must unlock my phone first.  If I take the phone out of my pocket I might as well just read the email then.  Is there a way to fix this?

I use a bluetooth headset with iPhone 5 but when I ask Siri to read my email she says I must unlock my phone first.  If I take the phone out of my pocket I might as well just read the email from the phone screen.  Is there a way to fix this so the phone doesn't have to be unlocked?

Apple, as I'm sure you know, now manage official phone 'unlocks' directly rather than the Newtork doing so.
When a GSM Network Provider buys a consignment of iPhone's they are locked to that carrier and may only be officially unlocked if said carrier requests it. If so, it is Apple who do this, via iTunes.
I am therefore inclined to think that part of the any generic iTunes syncing process involves the transmission of key hardware data, including IMEI, to Apple whenever the handset is synced.
If this is the case and, as each iTunes account is linked to a credit card, were Apple to maintain a database of genuinely stolen phones (ones reported to Police) they could advise said Police force when a stolen phone stuck its metaphorical head over the parapets once again? They would be able to identify the name & address of the new user.
I have spoken to the Police here in Ireland today and they regularly engage with Apple on such matters.
This may not be tracking as we know it Jim, (not using GSM Triangulation or GPS) but it's arguably even more targetted and leaves an indelible fingerprint of guilt on the thief.
The laws here are simple in this regard, if you are in possession of stolen property, knowlingly or otherwise, you forfeit the goods once the Police show up. Whether you get prosecuted depends on whether you stole the goods or were duped into purchasing them.
